This place is amazing. I ordered the Churrasco and my friend ordered the Lechon Asada con Cebolla. We shared a little. Both were seriously epic. The seasoning was amazing (vs the typical over-salting of everything in a lot of Cuban restaurants). The plantains were sooooo delicious. I got that and yellow rice. I highly recommend this place.

Really disappointed with my experience here. Our group wanted to get some Cuban while we were in South Florida, and this place had the best reviews. We were very let down by the experience. My soap de pollo was the highlight of the meal, I do recommend that. Unfortunately, that was the only positive of the entire experience. When our food came out, it was delivered to the table next to us. The table told them it wasn't their food, and instead of collecting the plates and remedying, the server left the plates in front of them and ran to the back all flustered. In the meantime, we discovered it was ours, and the lady at the table who received the food served us our food instead while we waited for the server to come back. He never did come back. Never once did he come to check on us until we were 80% done with our meal to ask us how everything tasted. No apology for ditching our meal on the table next to us and never coming back. I ordered the Cuban sandwich. The pork was so dried out on the sandwich it was bad. The fries looked like Ore-Ida French fries. My friends all got one of the steak dishes and were completely underwhelmed. Overall, very poor service and not so great food, either.

This place is just amazing you feel like you are in south beach The food is simply amazing. The greatest mojito I have ever had The ceviche is great I can't stop eating it On the weekends they have Cuban music and it only adds to the flavor of the place The service is outstanding. When we arrived we were told a 30 minute wait as we were walking out to leave the owner stopped us in our tracks and made room for a table for us (VIP treatment ) This place is off the charts YOU MUST COME HERE NEVER A BAD MEAL OR DRINK

The food here is good! I am spoiled by authentic Cuban food, so I'm a hard critic. The food is good, service is fast and the staff is friendly! It's also in a great area.

Second time I'm here and second time I'm really impressed. Super nice staff/bartender, very fresh and flavorful food, and FINALLY a place that makes great margaritas (I come from Texas and have been disappointed until now) and sells two for the price of one for happy hours. Churrasco is amazing. Lunch prices are extremely fair for their great quality food. Would recommend to everyone who visits!

Waiter helped me decide on lechon asado and I was not disappointed. Food was delish, place was super nice and clean. Will for sure visit again.

Food was delicious and server was really nice and attentive. I rate the food 5 out of 5 and the service as well. I never had Cuban food before and I really loved this place. The chicken soup was sooooooo good, I really recommend it. The maduros were my other top favorite. If I ever travel to Florida again and come to this area I will definitely visit here again.

Went there for lunch after reading the reviews. Food didn't taste fresh. We ordered Cuban sandwiches, they looked and tasted like it was microwaved not pressed. Will not go there again.

I don't get it. The reviews are almost universally good but my experiences here are terrible. I have tried 3 times. And I'm done. All 3 times the service was either terrible and/or slow. The food is about as bland and uninspired as possible. The Media Noche is some ham with dry pork on a terrible tasting sweet bread(how can you mess this up?). Any dish with a fried chicken cutlet is going to be the most bland chicken possible. No seasoning and tough. The chicken is pounded thin and it's still tough? I know I sound kind of mean but I just despise when a local restaurant just doesn't cook and serve like they care. Especially when it's a type of food I can't find very often. It's disappointing.

Had the Vaca Frita, was excellent. The fried yuca was perfectly done. Crispy and melts in your mouth. Great prices, especially at lunch. Definitely will come back to try the other options

Cuban coffee and tres leches cake was awesome! Live music wonderful but too loud for the building acoustics. ..sit outside. Consider putting the band under tv in corner so customers can see them and the sound goes forward instead of bouncing off the barware.

Went here for lunch and it was great! 90% of the restaurant was taken up and the service was attentive and fast. I was born and raised in a Cuban household and I will tell you that the food is authentic Cuban cuisine. The ham croquettes and the mariquitas were spot on. We had the bistec empanizado and the vaca frita as well as the sopa de pollo. Everything was made fresh. The deserts were great as well. The restaurant is clean and the employees were very friendly. Great location and the parking was easy. Next time we venture to this part of FL, we will definitely visit again!

Best Cuban food ever- anywhere- period. End of story! Don't come in a rush to eat and leave; that's not the style in which this place operates. Take your time. Sit outside. Sip your Cuban coffee, and savor the truly amazing food. And, the drinks are two for one; which doesn't hurt the "stick around and savor" culture.

Very, very slow service. Waitress promised bread twice during our 40 minute wait for our food but never brought it. Mojito was good and freshly made but the sangria is clearly from canned juice which is inexcusable and tasted chemical and bad. How hard is it to chop up fresh fruit? Looked at the margarita description and was surprised that they advertise using "sweet and sour" mix instead of fresh lime juice and freshly made simple sirup. Churrasco would be decent but arrived cold. Oxtail was ok, but pricey for two giant bones and not much meat, and it was also cold. Had to ask for silverware and napkins after our food finally arrived, and that took several minutes to appear, letting our food get even colder. Things like having the chimichurri sauce in disposable plastic "to-go" ramekins on the plate led to feeling like details were not being paid attention to. Recommend fixing the drink menu to use only freshly made components. Not difficult or very expensive and drinks would taste much better. Also need an expeditor and floor manager to be making sure things are moving and coming out hot.

I would say that this is pretty decent. The plantains were out of this world. They were the best thing I got. My mom got the chicken parmigiana and she loved it and my dad got a Cuban sandwich and loved his as well. I got broiled chicken and it was good but the service was relatively slow and since I was extremely hungry that just exasperated the problem. It was an alright place with loud music but it wasn't somewhere that I would insist on revisiting.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while on a walk around the area. The service is slow as I read on other posts before deciding to eat here. However, our waiter was very friendly!! We all had the churrasco dinner and it was delicious!!!! The tostones and arroz moro were perfect with the churrasco. The steak was cooked well and the taste was awesome. After dinner we had cafe con leche....definitely the best coffee I have had in a LONG time!!! The flan was also very good. I will definitely come back here if I'm ever in the area again.

I have friends that love this place and I SO wanted to be like it. We started by ordering wings, correction trying to order wings, but they ran out. Really? My daughter ordered her usual salad which she did not eat. I asked for the waitress to make a recommendation - she suggested a variety sampler. We both tried each item and just plain did not like any of them. Now this does not mean the restaurant was bad, or the food was bad.... We just may not like Cuban food. I found the coated fried chicken chunks with onion very over cooked. I found the fried pork with onion to be fatty and just icky. The third item was mushy corn with ham and corn. I doubt we will go back.

First experience was not so great. We've been back numerous times since then and absolutely love this place. Great food and nice servers. Love it!

Very good authentic Cuban food. My husband tried the Cuban sandwich which he loved. I had the Churrasco Steak, and it was tender and delicious. Our service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and nice. We will definitely be back to try more dishes on this menu. Oh yes, wonderful Sangria drinks 2 for 1 during Happy Hour. They were fabulous!

One of our favorites! I can't say enough about the great food we've had here. Service can be a little slow but the food makes up for it. A must try for sure, we make sure to always bring family when they're in town.

PESIMO!!! We were going out to go eat at 9:00pm we were 5 and we were excited because the sign said they closed at 10 but as soon as we walked in they said we were closed an hour before and the waitress was rude in telling us that they were closed. If you want a great dinner go next door the food was amazing and we couldn't ask for more from the kindness and atentiveness of the waitress and they were sopposed to be closed at that time but managed to serve us.

This place is a gem. The garlic boiled yuca is outstanding. The vibe is fun as if everyone is part of one big family. Excellent staff and friendly staff. Very reasonably-priced drinks. An Abacoa treat.

LOVE this place! Amazing Cuban food. Favorites are: Ropa Vieja -- out-of-this-world flavor, Bistec de Pollo Empanizado -- moist and flavorful thin-cut chicken (we order without the raw onions), Arroz Armarillo (Cuban yellow rice) -- perfect with any meal, Maduros -- you will be addicted to these sweet plantains, and Tostones con Mojo (fried green plantains) -- the accompanying garlic sauce makes this dish. Hubby and I crave this Cuban food and have ordered take-out more than a few times!

WOW....it doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is really, really good. The ceviche appetizer was fresh and full of flavor and the flank steak entree was cooked to perfection. I also want to thank the server who went out of his way to help me with all of his recommendation. This isn't a long review because what more needs to be said than "excellent" and "thanks for an awesome meal!"

Staff were all wonderful! Food was fantastic! We had a waiter willing to take the time to explain many of the entrees and make recommendations and all three of us were happy with our choice. I'll be back.

Let's just start off with the fact that I have never found Cuban food appealing. Never tried it, never cared to try it. Ah, what a fool I was. I came here for lunch on a weekday with an acquaintance and had a wonderful waitress whose name I regret not jotting down in my head. I'm usually pretty indecisive about what I want if I don't look at the menu beforehand (I don't care if that's weird! I know other people who do that too!). She recommended the Fricase de Pollo, which I got with a side of yellow rice and black beans. The plate was more than enough for two meals, and the food. THE FOOD. It was wonderful. The chicken was so tender, and I couldn't stop thinking if it would be inappropriate to order yellow rice and black beans to go when I couldn't even finish half of the dish. The decor is also nice - I had a great time just admiring all of the decorations along the walls. They also have area in the center of the restaurant that becomes a dance floor at night. Things I have heard from colleagues about Copacabana that have no bearing on my review: 1. great sandwiches for cheap! OM NOM NOM 2. consider another bar if you're here for late night drinks; apparently the service isn't as great at night?

  • Dave F.

I really like this place. They serve excellent Cuban sandwiches and 3 different bean soups (white/red/black) plus a wide assortment of great cuban food. Also, wonderful sides of plantains. The service both times-Lunch and the bar has been consistent. They make a mean Cuban coffee, award winning Cafe con Leche, and a smaller version called a Cortadito. The restaurant is located walking distance from the Florida Marlins/St Louis Cardinals Spring Training facility. If you like great Cuban food, great service and a fun/casual ambiance, this is a must try!

Our food was excellent and was ready almost immediately. We also liked our server who was quick, efficient, and friendly. This place also has live music on a Saturday night, outdoor seating and a full bar. We will definitely go back.

Soooooooooooooo GOOD!!!!! I almost leaked the plates Best churasco ever! Must stop by if you are in the area.

  • Mike S.

Food was ok, but service was super slow. Looks like they inherited another restaurant's buildout and decorating, then added a bunch of Corona and Presidente beer posters to make it "Cuban". Ordered a medianoche and ropa vieja, both pretty tasty.

Dinner tonight was so yummy and authentic. I had the Roja Vieja with black beans and salad. Omg the beef was so soft and tender and the spices were so wonderful. Downside, service in general was slow. But worth it overall.

I had been craving Cuban food for a very long time, so when my dad and I found ourselves in Jupiter a couple months ago to visit family and watch some spring training baseball, I knew I had to go to this place. In a word, delicious. We stopped in for lunch, which I think is a good call given the wide variety of reasonably priced lunch specials. I tried the churrasco, which is a seasoned and marinated skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. While far and away the most expensive item on the lunch menu (beef--it's what's for lunch, yo), I was very pleased with the flavor. My dad ordered one of the pork dishes and was equally satisfied. Plus, there was a 2-for-1 beer special going on at the time, too. Score! Copacabana is a definite winner.

Best Cuban food North of Miami. Try the pulled pork, the skirt steak or the classic Cuban sandwich.

TRY THIS PLACE!!! Even if you have had Cuban and didn't like it (like myself) or have never had it and are nervous to try new things. I'm not very familiar w/ Cuban food, but my fiance loves it and we haven't found a local place that we enjoyed. THAT has changed!! I'm officially a Cuban lover and he officially has a Cuban joint. We decided to try this place for lunch because we had a coupon in the Jupiter Money Saver....so glad we did! The waitresses (yes, we had two) were so helpful to me and gave me great suggestions and really good descriptions of the food. I tried all her suggestions and it was all amazing. Love, love, love the food, staff and ambiance! Plan on returning TOMORROW ;)) Just as a side note, I NEVER Yelp about bathrooms, but this establishment was cleaner than the the Capital Grille. They even folded the TP into little triangles which is a nice touch.

Went in tonight with friends and the drink order took over 30 minutes so we decided to leave. The manager came rushing over to tell us the drinks are almost ready. Almost?? We told her we were leaving and so she proceeded to tell us that we were rude people. Rude! We're rude?? Over 30 minutes and no service! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else who would want your business.

Stopped for lunch while in the area for work. Great outdoor seating, very nice waiter and AMAZING Cerviche appetizer and Cuban sandwich. Makes me wish I lived close by so I could try more items on the menu!

Terrific Cuban food! I loved every bite. I find it to be a little expensive for dinner time but lunch prices are great. Happy hour ends at 7. The portion sizes are nice. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. But call in advance for the Paella cause it takes an hour. It's $40 the minimum is 2 people. The churrasco is fantastic as is the red snapper. Enjoy and happy dining!

  • Julie T.

Good cuban style food with most dinners $11-17. Sangria very good. My friend had a mojito but it had too much mint...more of a salad than a drink. Large portions. Family run with some of people acting like they were just learning the ropes. Would go back again.

Restaurant opened May 2013, so we decided to check it out while visiting in-laws in Jupiter. Went on a Monday night and were only ones there, except for a few people at the bar. Quick summary (details below): lousy mixed drinks, good to very good food, very good desserts. Three mojitos and one Margarita were ordered. All were highly watered down. They were also out of Negro Modelo on tap, even though the decor featured multiple ads for the beer. Black bean soup was deemed excellent by several in our party. Ropa Vieja and churrasco were both very good. However, the chimichurri sauce with the churrasco was very heavy on the garlic, so much that the sauce was more white than green. I didn't mind since I like garlic, but others may not care for it. Side dishes of yellow rice and fried plantains were also popular. Other main dishes were fine but nothing special. Desserts were all a big hit, but I don't think they are made on site. Tres leches, dulce de leche cheesecake, and flan all got good reviews. The tres leche was very sweet, and the cheesecake was more crumbly than fluffy, but otherwise very good. Our hosts said they would return.

Despite what you may have been lead to believe by previous reviews, this place was incredible. Take it from someone who can express themselves using full words, and without saying "wack" 10 times, this place is incredible. Maybe I'm just used to Mexican food and the novelty of Cuban food got to me, but I loved everything I had. The waitress was very sweet and very attentive, the food was fantastic. Try the Cuban sandwich. No exaggeration, best sandwich I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You owe yourself better than listening to some "wack" review.

Back again for lunch. Cuban coffee was perfect. Picadillo, maduros and yuca all delicious. Great staff. No problem with the prices. Must eat here more often...!

Came for the sandwich cubano that was less than optimal - No pressed bun, yellow mustard, skimpy on pork and ham. That said, my dad had the vaca frita, and that was fantastic. I was also very impressed with that and plan to return to sample the rest of the menu!

  • Lori W.

We had a great meal our waiter Chris A was excellent. His reccomendations were right on. We enjoyed everything we ate. Had churraso steak, the chicken topped with mozzarella and mushrooms was moist any yummy. Also had whole snapper was meaty and very tasty would definitely come back. Special was two for one glass of wine. From 5-7. A nice treat...and a nice pour not a measured pour....

  • Melissa M.

We had some mixed results here. Fricase de pollo, maduros, and frijoles were well executed and I would recommend them. Churrasco (bistec especial) was under-executed. No technical issues with the cooking, but a strong garlic sauce was included which didn't pair well with the steak.

Very tasty. So good to eat real Cuban food. The Piccadillo is amazing. Usually Piccadillo at a restaurant is awful. The ham croquettes are also very good. They have live music on weekend. I love that its a small mom and pop type place. The owners came over and were very friendly. Will definitely return.

I simplified the words as saying wack so meathead cavemen who claims things are delicious could understand without me using pictures to explain... Meat no good rice no good ... Let me paint something on the wall to display the message so they can understand... Listen you can go to any Taco Bell and claim it's Mexican just like you can go here and claim it's cuban... Get some real cultural food ... Try eating authentic food before you think you can say things are delicious ... I have a Brillopad .... Doesn't make it an iron supplement lol sowwy guy... Go eat some real food before you claim a little sandwich as cuban ... Better off shopping at publix for sandwich. Delicious please that's a joke .

Very good Cuban, would recommend the Chicken Fricasse. Mmm love that sauce and the potatoes were great in it too. Drinks were very reasonable and generous ;-), recommend their monitor.

GREAT!! Place is tucked away on Main St in Abacoa...between Costello's and Le Metro (both also good). I have been there twice for lunch and on both occasions the food and service were simply outstanding. I had Ropa Vieja the first visit, and roasted pork with sautéed onions and mojo the second...my son was with me and had the Vaca Frita and was similarly pleased with the quality and prep. Service was friendly and efficient. Had 2 for 1 corona light on draft the day we went also! It's a relatively new place, and has yet to even have a well marked sign outside, but if you are in the area I STRONGLY recommend you try it!! We have a place in Abacoa and I really want to see places like this succeed--it is very, very good. Even if you don't normally go to Cuban places, try this one. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Note---prices are higher for dinner, I expect with larger portions, although I have not been there in the evening.
