While in Jupiter I took the recommendation of a local and stopped into Connection For Subs and Sandwiches for a quick lunch! Pleased with the variety of the menu and the many size options you can choose from. I opted for the Lite Bites sandwich which is a 6" sandwich with 1/2 the meat of a regular sub. Trust me, you're not missing a lot of meat, it's still worth it! In addition to the sub, I tried the clam chowder soup and it was probably the best clam chowder I've had. Seriously. Ended up having leftovers and it warms up nicely. An overall satisfying lunch without breaking the bank!

Ridiculously overpriced and slowest service I've ever seen. How can they still be in business with a Subway around the corner? The rolls weren't even baked here! Why do people come here?

Went here two days in a row to grab lunch to eat at the beach. The chicken salad was outstanding, and the Cuban held its own. Simple classic place, busy busy at lunch, a good sign. Don't piss off the older man with white hair (owner?) by asking him for an ice tea haha. I don't think that's his job.

Sandwich was OK, but there's a BIG problem. I came here because of previous good reviews on Yelp, and wanted to give a local operation a chance over a chain sub shop. I noticed one review said it was take-out only, but there is a small counter with about 4 or 5 stools where you could sit. First, the sandwich: Got half of a sub, 6", with roast beef, ham, & turkey. A 6" sub is plenty for most people. Meat seemed to be of above average quality. They weigh each portion. Sandwich was average tasting, and the bread was simple white, nothing to write home about. The lettuce is finely shredded, which some people like, but others don't like. I've had more flavorful sandwiches & with more options for bread types and toppings. I got a bottle of iced tea from the cooler, but it was not very cold at all. Now, here's my big problem: The lady was wearing plastic gloves when I arrived, and made my sandwich with them on. She then rang me up on the register, took my money, and gave me change while wearing those gloves. Red flags were going off in my head, so I closely watched what was going to happen next before I left. She kept the gloves on, used some alcohol sanitizer in an expeditions manner, rubbed it on the gloves as someone would do with their own hands, and proceeded to take the next person's order and make their food without changing gloves. Personally, I don't believe that using a quick squirt of hand sanitizer on gloves is any substitute for changing gloves. I don't think the alcohol was even dry yet before she grabbed the next sub roll and started cutting it. I was completely disgusted and almost threw my sandwich away. I will not be back.

Located on the north side of Center Street in Jupiter, The Connection For Subs has been serving take out since 1974. Their sandwiches are very good and are made to order right at the counter. I read a couple of negative reviews that were submitted here on Yelp, and I initially thought that those reviewers had confused The Connection with some other sandwich shop. I have been getting take out food here for over 20-years, and I have never had a less than terrific sandwich. Not since the OJ Simpson trial have I read so many comments about "gloves." What is the matter with you people? Do you walk around life in HazMat Suits too? Well, to put this issue aside, I paid close attention to how my sandwich was being prepared last Saturday. When it came time to pay, I watched intently on how the money and gloves were being handled. Lo and behold, the lady removed her gloves, placed them on the counter top, took money made change, THEN hand sanitized. Afterwards, she replaced her gloves to help the next person. Not exactly scrubbing for surgery clean, but a dammed acceptable practice in my book. "Foodies"...why do they even bother going to a Sandwich Shop in Jupiter? Next time go review "Chez d' Sub Shoppe" over in Palm Beach. Back on track, the sandwiches are consistent, have generous portions and comes with your choice of cheese. Their sandwiches come on white, rye, or whole wheat bread, plus they will make it on a pita, Kaiser, or wrap for .35 cents more. They make very good chili, and offer hot sandwiches. Chips and soft drinks are extra, and they usually have a good variety. I have two very small issues, and neither of which is a huge deal. The onions that The Connection uses are too strong. I like onions, and sweet onions add flavor. I prefer the Vidalia's from Georgia, or the Texas Sweets. Notwithstanding, just order your sandwich without onions and that problem is solved. The next thing is the cost of the sandwich itself. The Connection charges more than anywhere I know, but is not in a high rent area of town. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but I tend to buy more times from Russo's or Publix because they are also good, and about $3.00 less (using large ham and turkey as my example.) The Connection has been in business for nearly 40-years, and for South Florida, THAT is saying something. I can easily recommend The Connection to anyone. A good boss would buy Connection Subs for the whole office once in a while! Don't worry about getting germs from the checkout.

Our go to sub spot. This place is no frills - about what you'd expect for a sub joint. The subs are pretty darn good and really reliable. Not really too much more to say - the bread is hearty (decent on second day) the meats are tasty and the veggies are fresh enough.

Update on my last review. For what seems like eons. I have gone to the connection. great subs. We used to get them after we were done at the beach or we took them with us on the boat. As stated a bit pricey. But a very nice high quality sub. The lines used to be so long out the door, they moved about a half a block down the street.

No seating. Strictly a takeout place. Excellent sandwiches made exactly the way you want them. You'll usually have a bit of a wait because they give you such good individual attention. Great sub rolls and meats. Place is immaculately clean. Parking's a little jammed. Highly recommended.
