A good, familiar staple of Jacksonville. Everything is good. It is just good old American food. Don't expect the world, but you will like what you get.

It's been awhile since I've been there, but I'll do my best with the review. I love the tomato bisque. I usually get some kind of sandwich with it, and that's awesome too. The service is pretty good for a bunch of high school girls. I really can't say I've had something there that I didn't like. If you've never been there I guess I would tell you that it's kinda like a Panera Bread, sort of. Whatever, if you're in the area and you want lunch, I recommend it.

Having grown up in the Jacksonville area, The Loop Pizza Grill has always been a staple for my family. Growing up, I always had more of the kid friendly items - hamburger and fries, pizza, etc. As an adult, I have really become a fan of their salads and their tomato bisque. I like the quick notion of ordering the food at the counter and picking it up shortly there after. The one thing I like the most about The Loop is the amount of variety on the menu. There is something for everyone!

I ordered a Greek salad and tea for lunch. Got the salad with no feta cheese and no red onions. The place needs to better train their staff.

Yea, it seems like this Loop isn't the Loop to be at. Now we went right after the lunch rush so I can understand a little mess. But no ice and the tea wasn't that great either. Service was SLOOOWWWW. We ordered a Cajun Chicken Wrap with mixed greens, roma tomatoes and green onions with grilled cajun chicken and a honey mustard sauce. It was okay, but I don't think I will order it again. Now what I will order again is the Creamy Tomato Basil soup. Yummy....... I think I will stick closer to home and try another Loop out here.

It literally took them 25 minutes to make a to-go order consisting of a grilled chicken sandwich and a hamburger. WHAT?! I could totally understand if they were swamped, but they weren't even 1/4 full. Just seemed like everyone in the kitchen was taking their sweet time, no sense of urgency. i can understand a 25 minute wait time if I went to a full-service restaurant ike Applebee's or Chili's, but not a self-order sandwich joint. I was ready to start eating my fingers I was so hungry that I literally walked down two doors, grabbed Subway and had finished eating my sub before they were even close to having my to go order ready. THEY SUCK! Food AVERAGE. OVERPRICED. Yes, I know that there was a time when the Loop was a happenin' place in Jax - but there a plenty more better places to choose from that are running LOOPS around this old timer.

Once upon a time, The Loop was one of the best restaurants in Fruit Cove. The burgers were huge and juicy, the service was nonexistent, and the clientele were locals. It was the quintessential greasy spoon and watering hole--truly a great establishment. In the intervening decade or so, only the third remains true. The Loop has opened a new location and civilized itself considerably. They now employ servers, the burgers are drier, smaller, and meet health code regulations, and they offer healthy salads and wine. In the process, I feel the place has lost a lot of the charm it used to have. The portion sizes and prices seem to be going in opposite directions. The management is polite, and the food is consistent, but every time I go back home it feels a little less local. That being said, it's still something of a community hangout, primarily for the middle and high school kids. The last few times I've been, a few benches have been falling apart, and a growing neighborhood of flies is in evidence. It's worth a try, but The Loop becomes more of a chain and less of a local place every time I've been there.

Went to lunch mid-week with spouse. Parking lot is difficult. Getting into parking lot and leaving on side street not easy. Not to mention the size is small and the design of the lot doesn't make it easy for patrons. This was the first time ever in a "Loop". You order at counter and are given a pager to go up and get food (think Panera bread). Service seemed slow not just for us but all patrons. The staff was friendly and greeted us promptly. We ordered a burger and the veggie melt ciabatta both with fries. Fries were "steak fries" and tasted great. Burger was okay - not great but not bad. Portion size was on the small side. It left you wanting more. The veggie ciabatta was well portioned and tasted good. By the time we were finished eating most seats were full. Could tell it was a popular location. May try another location because food was okay. Really don't like the parking lot situation.

Love The Loop! The food they offer is wonderful and the location is perfect. They have many things to chose from including healthy items. The only thing I would change about The Loop is to bring back thick crust pizza. They had some of the best.

I really enjoy the great american cheese burger. Nice size burger cooked the way I want it with steak sauce! Steak fries not those little shoe string things, yeah baby!

Ordered the All American with chips and a strawberry shake. The ordering was simple with the very pleasant girl at the counter. My guest and I didn't wait long at all to receive our order. We were just finishing our pleasantries when the buzzer for our table went off The burger was cooked to a perfect medium well with a nice touch of char to really get the grilled flavor. Two slices of cheese where enough to taste in every bite. I opted to forgo veggies so my review will lack in that perspective. The chips had a nice homemade, rustic crunch without being too hard and dry like the grocery store variety. I couldn't place the seasoning but it was a nice change from regular salt and it in no way overpowered the chip. The milkshake was thick but not so much to collapse the straw. Every few bites of burger were instantly cleansed with a smooth pull of strawberry goodness. It was not too cloying or over sugary. Also, no chunks or other annoyances that you find with most hand dipped places. What didn't fit in the glass was nicely placed to the side in a metal tumbler with a spoon that allowed another shake to be poured. You could even say it's a two for one deal with every shake. The only negative was that the booths are attached to each other but not to the floor. Meaning the back of my seat was also the back to the seat of the diner behind me, so when I slid up and out of my seat to get a straw I accidentally slid the booth with the poor girl behind me going for a ride as well. I would eat here again but three stars was given because I wasn't offended but I wasn't amazed either. The five star review has gone the way of the standing ovation; extremely overused. The Loop is doing everything right. There are some who are doing worse, there are some who are doing better. For a $14 price tag for lunch though, I'll probably go elsewhere.

Yum yum Blue Cheese Fries. I like the loop, I really like their burgers. They're juicy and full of seasoning. And HUGE. But, I'm not a fan of their pizzas... The fam loves them though, so it goes to show... everyone is different. I am always happy ordering the same thing. Burger with onion ring and barbecue sauce and a side of blue cheese chips. Sometimes, I make my own wings or burgers and order their blue cheese chips to go as my secret weapon side dish. Shhhhhh... don't tell anyone

I have been to the loop in the past and it has been a while since I've eaten there. It was not that good. I got a chicken Caesar salad and it didn't even look good. The chicken was wimpy very small pieces in the salad. Salad greens didn't look too fresh. I got a side of fries which are the best. They are big steak fries. Husband got grilled chicken sandwich which he said was good but small. Won't be going back to that location. They also don't have their salmon Caesar salad that I normally love but that location no longer has the broiler that cooks the salmon. The restaurant didn't look real clean either.

A good all around place. When I feel like a fast food burger, I come here instead to have a real burger. I love their fries and just tried their chips with blue cheese melted on it. It's a reliable place to eat. And their shakes top off the meal just great!

This restaurant has been here forever!!! If a restaurant can survive for 20+ years it has to be doing something right! This is pizza, burgers, salads, soups , they dont have a huge menu but they do make, what they make, good! I usually get a spicy grilled chicken sandwich with all the toppings with onion rings, im not a person who orders the same thing again and again but its so dang good I just keep getting it! The onion rings are wonderful big real slices of onion! My hubby loves the bacon burger with fries and a vanilla shake....lol I think we get the same thing everytime we go!

Ok. I was wrong. They do have a TV I guess in the back section I was not privy to with the playoff game on. This is a takeout place. We dined in and was asked to pay for everything up front before sitting down. Well how do I know if I wasn't going to order another drink? Or desert? Drinks are by the bottle. The one thing I can complement is the crust. I liked the crust and the right amount of sauce on it. It's more like a Ci Cis. That's what it reminded me of. Just more expensive. We finished our meal and am still hungry. Not much choice for appetizers either. We will not be coming here again. The service that we got at the counter was ok. Told her we were Yelping. She thought it funny using it as a verb now. No service at table. You come get it when they are done or you want another drink. Done.

Tried to go there for a salad today after standing in line we heard other customers saying there are no more tables. Confirmed this was true and we decided not to go after I had already checked in. I guess it is a sign they are good but 12:15 on a weekday may not be the best time to go to this place.

The only reason I hate going here is because the food is just too expensive. I mean they need a lunch special price menu. I love the food but hate the prices. I order a chicken sandwich with Fries and a milk shake. Umm This costed me 15$$ I literally go to a loop pizza grill once every quarter soo many other places I can go for cheaper and be supper full. I have to go to this place on pay day. Not I dont mind expensive food I'm not cheap but I like when its worth it. The pizza I ordered last time was soo small and it was 10$. They need a email club and some coupons to go out more often than not

I normally wouldn't give many chains 4 stars, but they do the food and service part better than most, so that gives them an extra star in my opinion. Good burgers, good salads, good pizza. It's counter style, so expect to order at the register and pick up your own food and drinks. I appreciate any place who cooks my burger medium rare, and offers blue cheese on it. Their homemade chips with blue cheese are the bomb. I love the Crunchy Brocolli salad. And the Portebello and Bacon pizza makes me happy. My only pet peeve is they don't seem to bus or wipe down tables quickly when they are busy, so you'll walk in to several with plates still hanging out. And this seems to be at any location, so it must be a staffing or expectations issue. However, I've never waited on a clean table, so it's not a deal breaker.

May give another try based on burger and pie reviews and the onion rings I saw but what I got was disappointing. Grilled chicken sandwich tastes ok but they could have used 1/2 a roll and still covered all the chicken.

I love the Loop and their food but this is probably my least favorite location. I've given them a few chances but they just don't seem to be on the same level as a lot of other locations. For example, I was in last week while I was making a few evening stops in Mandarin. First of all, the parking lot is awful. Lots of pot holes and uneven spots and very little parking in front of the restaurant (it was raining on my most recent visit so it was particularly annoying). I had been craving a burger so I went with the Loop burger. The service was on the slow side (especially considering it was pretty empty). When I visit the Loop on Southside at lunch time (when the store is full) food comes out faster. When my burger did come out, it was much greasier than I remember the Loop burger ever being. I don't eat red meat a lot so when I want a burger or a steak, I want a good one. I generally consider the Loop's burgers to be really good but this was just blah. If I wanted a really greasy, messy burger, I would have gone to 5 Guys down the street, ya know? I do like their ice (I know, it's weird but it just tastes better!) and certain menu items can't be beat (tomato bisque soup for example) but I find this location to be below par. Check out another location if you can help it!

I absolutely would recommend The Loop to anybody that is looking for a tasty, juicy cheddar burger. Or to anybody that is on a health kick with salads. ( the goat cheese salad is my favorite! )Everything is so fresh and always has you coming back for more! They are also very involved in the community which is a plus!

The Loop is a local chain good for consistently good grub. We hit up The Loop recent for dinner to grab some burgers. I'm a fan of the Loop & Cheddar. The burgers are always juicy and cooked as ordered. For sides, the onion rings are fabulous and so is the tangy dipping sauce. The steak fries are standard but the house chips are a definite hit. They also serve pizza - I'm partial to the sausage/goat cheese pizza and the broccoli salad. If you're in the mood to indulge, my go to is a chocolate malt. You'll get your shake in a pretty glass with whip cream and also the metal cup they used to mix it that had the shake that didn't fit in the glass. It's a casual restaurant, you order and pick up at the counter. Self serve drinks and condiments. I also wanted to mention the service at the San Marco location. Many moons ago I was having dinner at the San Marco Loop and a group of firemen were also there eating. For those unfamiliar with the area, there is a fire station in the square area. Said firemen got a call shortly after getting their food and sprinted out of the restaurant. Staff came and boxed up the meals and but trashed the shakes. I overheard a patron question the waste and the staffer said it has happened before so they box and mark the food and they make the guys fresh shakes when they come back from the call. Super classy to do that and I feel it's worthy of some praise.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I was introduced to this place about 9 years ago b/c it has "the good ice" and I do not have one single bad thing to say about it. First of all, the food, it's the type of place where you order, they give you a buzzer, you take your seat and your food comes out. It's a place to grab a quick meal, but the food is far from fast food quality. The most recent time I had the pleasure of eating there, I ordered the goat cheese, walnut and almond salad. Yumm-y. I would definitely recommend it. One side note...The Loop has the good crushed ice. (I brought a to go cup home just filled will ice;-))

I recently had the pleasure of eating at the Loop for the first time the last time I was in Jacksonville. I have to say, I was a big fan! It's the perfect spot for lunch, and the menu offers the perfect array of choices to please everyone. Whether you want a burger, pizza or want to keep it healthy with a soup or salad, the Loop has it all. I chose to go with the Asian wrap and the tomato bisque soup, and I was extremely happy with my selection. The wrap was delicious, and the bisque was one of the best I've ever had. I would 100% come back here to eat and try out other things on the menu.
