Not my favorite pizza, something that I could make at home and get it much faster. Service was horrible. Plastic plates, really!?

Nice little family affordable pizza place. I went here when my favorite Picasso Pizza was closed for New Year's Day. They have big booths and even a little bar area with TVs The waiter was very peppy and attentive, we ordered cheese fries which were honestly the best cheese fries I've had in a long time! Ordered pizza. The pizza is ok. It's better than papa johns or dominoes- but it's not Picasso's. Also pretty cheap. We had two sodas, a large pizza, and cheese fries for $30.

I thoroughly enjoyed the the elephant pizza. (no mushroom or sausage added pineapple.) I have to rate the experience 5 stars, I was expecting good pizza and I got it. First bite I took i noticed It is a bit different from regular chain pizza . The crust is nice and kinda fluffy, the sauce is flavorful and the toppings are fresh. Elephant ears reminded me of some I had at Navy pier in Chicago as a kid. I'll definitely go back to this establishment.

I thought this place would be pretty decent, but I was mistaken. It was just subpar. Nothing terrible, but nothing really great either. The decor is more family oriented with childish drawing for art. The red and green colors did not compliment each other at all. The seat cushions were so badly torn/cracked - clearly needs to be replaced. The plates were very dirty - I ate my appetizer out of the bowl it was put on instead of the side plates given to us - yuck! All of the condiments (cheese, pepper, salt etc) were empty at the table. We put them at the end of our table as a clue to fill the empty bottles, but after our waiter came over 3 times, we figured we would polite ask. The boneless wings were BLAH. The pizza was actually pretty good though. We ordered the elephant classic. It was served hot (which is a plus) and looked really good. It tasted pretty good but I was not a fan with the crust. I honestly think it's more my opinion/taste than anything negative with the establishment. Which is why I gave it 2 stars. The waiter we had was a dud. He just went through the motions and was not engaging or very pleasant at all. Maybe he was upset he had to work on a Sunday afternoon? I don't know. Sadly, I'm just not impressed at all. It could've been a major hit, but it missed the bill.

Absolutely love this place! Atmosphere is awesome! 70's music is the best! Our server, Adam was great! Artichoke dip was d-licious! We both had the salmon rice bowl with mojo topping... A little too fishy for me but bf enjoyed it. And the free elephant ear was heavenly!

I just want to commend Jessica on being able to multitask, working the bar and then the tables as well.. She was extremely friendly any type of staff member every restaurant manager should want as an employee. I utilized my $5 off coupon from the Folio newspaper and my total came to $3.74! Wow! It was an awesome lunch for the value, even without the coupon it would have been a great value. The atmosphere is pleasant. This was a great first experience at this restaurant. I will visit again!

I am grateful for the Red Elephant b/c it is a great, close place for taking kids out to dinner. It is extremely kid friendly with it's small game room and high chairs equipped with cheerios and crayons. So for that I give it 3 stars. But the food is just alright for me. The Elephant Ears (dessert) are one exception. They are divine. Even if they are super unhealthy. lol. But other than that I have never gotten anything to eat that I would write home about.

Great food but pizza was served on plastic platter which had been under a heat lamp. Pizza had a plastic odor, like platter had been off gassing due to heat. Gross!!!! Manager comped pizza though so five stars for customer service. Corporate should change the serving of the pizza to metal platters rinstead of plastic.

Ambiance was relaxed and casual. Service was prompt and correct. Has a small game area making it a nice treat for the kids after dinner. Plenty of parking. There were many truly unusual options on the menu. The burger was amazing (not exactly healthy but delight so I stole some of my Husband's ). For a healthier option I had the Mediterranean Wrap, hummus based and full of veggies makes it a great option. Of course I tried the kids fries which were a unique batter but very good in my taste. The first visit came with a free order of elephant ears and $5 off your next visit. We will be back :)

Red elephant provides such a delicious variety of favorites that it is hard to chose! I am a creature of habit so I usually get the garden pizza. I love the way the veggies work synergistically with the crispy crust to invigorate my taste buds. I love the loaded fries and cheesy garlic bread for starters. The burger has to be the tastiest I've ever eaten. Love the grilled brown bun! I've had the blackened chicken and ya ya pasta and love them both. Overall this place is great with many more menu items that I have yet to try and wonder if I will because I already have so many favorites here.

Decent enough of a place. I've been here a few times. The food is ok, but seems to be a bit overcooked. On the last time, we had some issues with getting the attention of our waitress. Good variety on the menu.

Red Elephant Pizza and Grill is catered to people of all ages. It has a video game room for the kids to enjoy and LCD/Plasma televisions for the adults to watch sports. It has a nice open layout and the decor is not overwhelming. Actually, I like their decor. The place is very clean too. My son and I ordered the 8-piece traditional wings with medium sauce and a medium pepperoni pizza which feeds 2-3. The chicken wings were crispy just the way we like it. The pizza was crispy too and tasted great. Food was enough for the both of us. I purchased a $20 value Groupon for $10 and the total out of pocket = $11.25. Great deal for a dinner for 2! The service was excellent. Our server was accommodating and on-point. He's available when needed. We will be back.

Not sure how I have avoided this place for so long. A group of us met up here before they went bowling. Glad we did! We started with the Loaded Fries, and I am in love! Cheese, bacon, spicy ranch, and chopped jalapenos. What more could you ask for? The size was perfect for our smallish-group, and I took the leftovers home (what luck?). :) I ordered the Margherita Chicken Pizza to share, and was equally blown away. I thought I would not like the tomato slices instead of chopped tomatoes, but I was wrong... I mean mistaken. Everything about this pizza was great. Even the amorphous blob that the dough was in demonstrated that it was hand-rolled/tossed and that they were more concerned about taste than appearance (not that it looked bad, it just wasn't the perfect circle you get from most places. The bar selection is okay, and that is about the only thing I would change--get some craft brews and step outside of the normal selection! Bottom line: I will be back, even if I have to drive out of my way to get there!

Went for lunch with my teenage son and mother. We ate every bite of what was served! As a bonus, since it was the first time we had been there, we were given an elephant ear (their signature dessert) complimentary. It was fabulous. Again, will definitely be back, and soon too probably.

We decided to stop here one night because the line for another restaurant was way too long. By the outside I was expecting a dark, tavern style restaurant..but it was loathing like that.. The atmosphere made me feel old. There wasn't a huge selection on the menu.. We decided to do the pizza and salad dinner. My salad had far too much Caesar dressing on it.. He opted for a house salad.. And wish I would have done the same. The balsamic vinegar is good there. The pizza we chose was just a regular pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. The toppings were fresh, but the pizza tasted like something you'd order from Pizza Hut.. And instead of real slices of pizza it was chopped into like 15 pieces in squares, if I wanted to eat my pizza like a child.. I would have gone to chuckie cheese. The service was good, and the elephant ear was good as well. But that is about it.. I probably won't come back.

This place kicks ass, the waiters are super nice, pizza had a different kind of crust to it, man I am from NY and I LIKED it ! they make personal pizzas and it comes w salad. Also ,the cool a... manager came over to ask us how the food was at the end of our meal and even had an elephant ear(some sort of a fluffy delicious pastry) brought over free of charge for us to try ! The decor is super city cool and its good for families ,plus it was packed !

Great restaurant. Semi-decent food selection on the menu, but regardless the food is usually always well cooked and tasty. Not my first choice for a lunch or dinner spot in the area, but I would definitely add it to my list to choose from if hungry.

This place was two stars for us but might be better for families. There is a bar area but also a kid's game area. Service was fast and friendly, but I asked for a specialty order that didn't come out as ordered. Food was pretty bland, nothing fancy, but also pretty reasonably priced. Someone was walking around making balloon animals for kids. I was expecting more of a pub feel so for me and the hubs, it was not our scene.

The service was great. ..we were greeted promptly and seated near the bar area. Appetizer beer battered onion rings crispy but very basic. Smokehouse grill sandwich was dry and skimpy. Grilled Angler with Mahi was fresh and delicious. Atmosphere was nice and we received an" elephant ear" desert to commemorate our first visit.. Will I go back? Maybe.

What a great place! We stopped by for lunch since we took the kiddos bowling at the alley nearby and we were so enthused about the food and the service was just as good. Each adult ordered a small pizza and salad and the kids split a kids cheese pizza. There is a little arcade area, which took me back to the pizza spots when I was growing up, fun! The pizza and salads were delicious and tasted fresh. I liked the crust, toppings etc. When our server found out it was our first time here she sent the manager over and he gave us coupons for two free appetizers on our next visit and warmly welcomed us. We also received a free elephant ear to share for dessert. It's a funnel cake like dessert.

Wow! I am so particular about my pizza...and I have to say, this place is my new pizza joint!!!! So good! The dough is handmade and is actually flavorful. It is unique in that the edges are fluted, which gives the consistency of a breadstick. (see pictures) The sauce is also made from scratch and has an incredibly fresh taste. Delish!! I had the 'Classic Elephant' individual sized pizza on my visit ($6.99). This dish consisted of the basic sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, cheese and mushrooms. I was not disappointed with the generous toppings or quality of the ingredients in the least. Really good stuff. I went during the rush hour lunch and did notice that the 3 surrounding tables did have an assortment of issues with the service. But nothing that seemed to hamper the food experience for these surrounding patrons. I too ordered an Elephant Ear for dessert but was given an order of 2 and although I questioned the quantity was originally charged for this amount even though that wasn't ordered. I did not make a stink about the discrepancy but the waitress took it upon herself to approach her manager with the issue and as a result, with no knowledge or intervention on my part, comped the dessert altogether! Wow, that was impressive! The Elephant Ear was the deep fried pizza dough sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar ($2.99) and took me into a nostalgia induced sugar coma from my county fair going days of my youth! You can also get this dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. YUM! Note: if you are a 'Plus-sized Foodie' and have a party of 4, do not sit in the booths in the center of the restaurant. These booths are SMALL and larger folks would most certainly be uncomfortable. There are plenty of tables and chairs along the outskirts of the restaurant to accommodate you more comfortably than this particular area. Note 2: Parking is difficult here, so come a little earlier than the lunch crowd to get a reasonable space.

Bbq Bacon Cheeseburger was gross. Had a weird abnormal meat flavor. Tomato pizza was not very good. Chicken breast tasted like... Nothing really. Table behind me sent something back too. Spinach dip was good. Ive been to Red Elephant before and I liked it. This location was not good. Hour or so wait on the food. Server wasn't that good either. :(

Red elephant is a decent chain in the south end of town. A friend and I came here because the other place we wanted to go was closed and RE was close by. The service was fine, not bad but not phenomenal. Her club sandwich was beyond greasy. My pizza seemed like it was frozen and reheated. I was not super impressed and probably would not go back. However, I think it is a good option if you want "something for everyone" and you aren't looking for an amazing meal.

Well a long time ago when they first opened I went and had pizza and salad but it was not very impressive and so I never went back...so now they have been open for a few years I thought I would try them again...yuck! All I had was a veggie pizza for lunch but it was awful: the sauce was bitter, the crust had little flavor and they sprinkled some kind of seasoning over it which I did not like and it was not mentioned in the menu. I don't know about the rest of their menu but I cannot recommend the pizza! enter at your own risk...

If it wasn't for the excellent service, I would have given this place a 3. Our glasses were always full and our waitress smiling. That said, the food was good but not out-of-this-world. My son is a cheeseburger connoisseur and he didn't think it was anything special, although their fries were really good. My husband and I had their Bankok Express specialty pizza and it wasn't half bad! Being that it was our first visit, we were given a free elephant's ear dessert--a cross between a bienet and funnel cake--YUM!!! The manager even came by and gave us a card for a free appetizer on our next visit. I would certainly come back to try other items on the menu.

Red Elephant was a decent place. It's definitely family-friendly, which was a huge plus. High chairs come with an adhesive table cover and a little cup of Cheerios, which is great for the kids while you're waiting for your food. The pizza was all right. I had the chicken margherita pizza, and while it was good, it was nothing to write home about. If you're looking for spectacular pizza, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place. But for a good place to take your kids, I'd definitely say Red Elephant.

Family-friendly restaurant serves better than average pizza, salad, sandwiches and burgers. Full bar available. Unobtrusive TVs mounted high, usually tuned to sports news channels. Waitstaff is young and attentive. Open kitchen at rear of restaurant, glassed in arcade area for the kids.

First visit on a busy Friday night. Overall service ROCKED!! Seated right away, after a friendly greeting. Server attentive without being over attentive! Food great! Appetizers different and great-hummus and boiled peanuts. Hickory Jack chicken sandwich, moist and savory! Loved the Margherita pizza! We informed the server it was our first visit, she passed it on to the General Manager (Casey). Casey came after our meal and greeted us personally and asked about our experience. She brought a complimentary "Elephant Ear" dessert. WHICH IS AMAZING!! (you can ask for honey or chocolate sauce on the side)!!

We love The Red Elephant! The pasta dishes, burgers, and sandwiches are all excellent; in fact, we've never had anything we didn't just love. This is a great, neighborhood type restaurant with very good food, reasonable prices, quick service, and always a warm welcome and a friendly good-bye. The Red Elephant has become our "go-to" restaurant for a well prepared meal at a good price.

I have eaten at The Red Elephant a handful of times and have yet to have an experience that was not stellar. I am a big fan of the pizza, it's original and delicious, their hummus, with homemade pita chips, and the southwest chicken salad. Everything is very reasonably priced and their $7.99 lunch special with a drink included is wonderful. Service is impeccable, even though most of their staff is young, they are more than respectful and appropriate. This place is great and I miss it when I'm away at school. It's definitely worth a try.

So we were at the Super Target on Beach and Hodges buying paper towels and shampoo and we were getting a bit peckish. The conversation was as follows: GF: Why don't we try that new place we saw the other day? The one where we both said, "We should go there one day." I think it was in San Marco. Me: What new place in San Marco? That Mediterranean place? GF: No, something else. I don't remember. Me: What was the name of it? GF: I don't know. Me: What did the place look like? GF: I don't remember. Maybe it wasn't in San Marco. Was it near the Fresh Market? Me: Well, there's, like, 5 restaurants by the Fresh Market we've never been too. GF: It has to be located close to somewhere we go all the time. Maybe University? And that's how we ended up in Mandarin at the Red Elephant (which we both agree was not the restaurant the GF was thinking about, but neither of us cared because we were famished from driving around all over town). Unbeknownst to us until we walked in, the place is a restaurant that caters to families. I guess the best way to describe it is like a big Loop with a vaguely safari theme. The menu is heavily geared toward pizza, hamburgers, and sandwiches (nothing too exotic to freak out the kids). It also has a room with various pinball and arcade games to entertain the rugrats so that parents could have a few minutes of peace. Luckily, the place was lacking in children. In fact, it was practically empty. We started off with a spinach and artichoke dip served with toasted pita chips. Not bad, but I've had better. The manager (who I believe was the only worker at the restaurant over the age of 20) also dropped off a bar-b-que chicken quesadilla was that accidentally made (Free food?! ? Score!) The quesadilla was served with a very garlicky ranch dressing which I think was the best part of it. The GF ordered a pepperoni pizza that I didn't like - partially because of the pepperoni, but mostly because of the fact it was pizza. She thought it was pretty good for a thin crust pizza. I had a perfectly cooked Elephant Burger. No, it wasn't pachyderm meat or anything. It was just a rather large burger with bacon, sauteed onions and mushrooms, and blue cheese dressing. For dessert, we had the Elephant Ears (large pieces of fried dough covered in cinnamon and powdered sugar). Our waiter was very attentive. So attentive, in fact, that he became a little irritating in his constant hovering. The place gets 3 stars due to the decent food, the free app, and the eager-to-please waitstaff (regardless of how much I wanted to punch him by the end of the night).

I left the tax collectors office looking for a quick bite. This place was virtually next door. Good atmosphere prices were decent. The BBQ Burger I had was very good. I will return and try their pizza and red elephant beer but only if I'm in the area. Not spectacular enough to drive across town for.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Every facet of this visit was perfect. Great lunch special, free desert for being our first visit, excellent service.

Very impressive family oriented cool place. Good food, especially the pizza, great service, very clean and family friendly. Met a friend there for a beer (an Intuition brewed in Jax), easy to find and park. Look forward to going back.

Great pizza and pasta place. Portions are fairly large and could easily feed 2. Good beer selection. Fast and courteous service. Crazy busy on Friday and Saturday nights.

Kid friendly pizza and burgers.
