Decor - 5, nice hip vibe Service - 3, efficient but not very personal Sauce - 5, mesmerizing with our spring rolls Soup - 4, really delightful Taste - 5, fantastic menu and choices Most of the Pho I have had has been in dingy, dirty hole in the walls or strip center restaurants that had no personality. This place was different, it had a cool hip vibe and the restaurant was clean and bright. Food choices included Pho with chicken, brisket, cartilage, and tripe. Also choices for Udon Noodles and Soup, as well as fried rice options. While at first glance the menu seems limited, it actually has an infinite amount of combinations you can make. Good food and I cannot wait to try something different on the menu. Portions are big so don't be scared to share.

Fantastic pho! Love the broth and truly unique pho Tom yum with sweet/sour broth. Also a great place for non pho lovers with a great Phad Thai, Bahn Mi and curry dishes!!!

Love Pho. But I keep getting the same thing. I always order the "standard". Can't help it. It's just that good. This place gets busy at lunch. It has a number of tables but really isn't that big. I will often see some decent size groups take up a good number of tables. Best advice is to get there early. I'm no Pho expert, but I really like it here. Maybe some day I'll try some of the noodle dishes.

The food is amazing. They are very accommodating to all foodies from me at lovers yo vegetarian diets to vegan diets. This is a must try if this is your first time going to have Pho. The food warms you and the portions are nice.

Had lunch here with some co-workers. This is not one of my favorite Pho places for pho but wanted to try their Phad Thai so I went. Pho noodle bar has a nice decor and I love sitting at the bar like tables. They are quite comfortable. I ordered the Phad Thai chicken with a #3 spicy. The dish is rather sweet and the thin noodles and chicken were well cooked. I love Thai cuisine. I would have liked a little more peanuts added to dish. I'm sure I'll be back here but it won't be anytime soon.

This place was incredible. I'm a full blooded American male. I spent 13 years all over Asia and this is hands down the Best Pho I've ever had. I got the Ox Tail Pho with an egg dropped in it. If you like Pho or Asian food then take the time to try this place out. I will not stop coming here until I've tried everything on the menu.

Great lunch spot, simple, elegant and cool (A/C) inside. The curry special was served freshly prepared, hot and delicious.

I recently purchased a deal on Living social for a $30 certificate for $12. So, it was a perfect excuse to influence my husband to take me out on a date night. I am traditionally a Bowl of Pho girl, so I was hoping for the best here. We went in on a Friday around 6pm, it was very empty and quiet. I think maybe only two other tables were occupied. My initial assessment is that it was very clean although a bit nervous it was so empty. We started our meal with a bottle of plum wine ($17) and a bottle of Pellegrino ($5??? Really people?), an order of summer rolls and pot stickers. The plum wine was good although I believe I may have an onset of diabetes from the sweetness. The waiter jokingly told us it was candy in a bottle. Both the summer rolls and pot stickers were wonderful but a I was a little put off by the prices. For our dinners, my husband went for the Standard and I went for the Duck Pho. Both were tasty, but I felt they a little overpriced. $10 and $12 respectively. I would have liked to have more of the bean sprouts and spices to put in as well. Overall, it was a very nice experience, the waiter was very attentive and also gave us free drink cards to try their other restaurant - Indoctrine. Will we go again? Maybe, maybe not.

I've always liked the way this restaurant looks. I liked it as Chew and I like it as Pho. Soup is a favorite of mine and Pho is on my top ten. The noodles, the bean sprouts, herbs and customizable broth with sauces of hoisin, sriracha or soy. It's a simple recipe but that doesn't mean it isn't good.. Service is attentive, boba tea is delish and the minimalistic decor is not too stark that it leaves me cold but rather warm and happy--just like the soup does.

Stopped in here for dinner while at Art Walk downtown. We were seated right away (nice for us hungry wanderers when presented with the 45+ minute wait for the food trucks). My table ordered the "works" pho, a regular pho and the chicken pad thai. The food came out crazy fast (yay!) The pho was definitely good, but nothing life changing or nuanced in flavor. The pad thai was quite spicy (we ordered a 4 on a scale of 1 to 6) which was actually nice! Overall, this was a solid spot to stop for dinner, but there was nothing extraordinary about the food or service that would warrant a higher rating. However, if you're in the mood for a good (and reasonably priced) bowl of pho, look no further!

Finally, a reason to look forward to going to JAX. OMG accompanied each and every bite. Amazing broth for my vegan pho. Delicious and hearty pho. A restaurant dedicated to such comforting goodness--what could be better? A clean, and open space that clears the mind just by looking at it? Art that feeds the soul? Ok, let's throw that in there too! Super restaurant!

Tried out Pho for dinner with a few friends. Great modern atmosphere -- it's the former Chew restaurant spot downtown. We started with the the edamame (nothing special). I ordered the pho tom yum soup (delicious -- spicy and sweet, tons of broth and noodles and fixings) with shrimp (why do they leave the tails on?), a thai boba iced tea (the tapicoa pearls weren't as squishy and fresh tasting as other boba teas I've had) and a traditional bahn mi sandwich (good). Will return to try other items, but still prefer Bowl of Pho's pho on the Southside.

Went to Pho A Noodle Bar recently for lunch with wife and sister-in-law. I remember going there a couple years back when they first opened. The restaurant has a nice contemporary look and I can see how it can be popular with all the downtown offices. We ordered two appetizers to share (fried dumplings and chicken meat balls). Both appetizers were pretty decent. I had the duck noodle soup and my wife tried their "The Works" pho. Unfortunately, I find their noodle soup a bit lacking in flavors. Both my noodle soup and my wife's pho were generous in portion, meats, and noodles. But the soup base was straight up salty. So it's definitely not the best soup broth i ever had (nor is it the worst). I give it three stars because the restaurant itself, the service, and some food dishes were really good. I was just a bit disappointed by the soup broth, especially when the restaurant is called "A Noodle Bar".

It was 27 degrees in Jacksonville today so you can imagine the delight when I found out that they serve pho here. There were different additions that I could have added in but I decided to not be greedy so I went w the large standard. It was huge but fit my belly quite nicely. I tried the lychee boba and was thrown off when there was whipped cream on top. I've never had it like that. It didn't bother me until I hit the boba. I was so excited for it because it's been months since I had it. That Came to a sudden halt as one came up the straw. It was not the gooey soft squishy gummi that I've had all my life. It may have been under done or something but the outside was as expected until I hit the core. It was hard.... The pot stickers were fried. I should have asked first. The size of it was good though. The beef sticks came w a lot of BEEF! But I barely tasted the flavor. :-/ But I loved the pho! Nice and hearty.

Wine and fried/frozen apps were the best part. Pho was nothing special. I could have made better myself and I'm not a good cook. Tofu was dried out, broth was bland, rarely any seafood found. We should have turned around when we walked in to only one table dining on a Saturday night at 7pm. Don't waste your money.

Love this Pho restaurant. It's nice and open and very spacious. Love the modern decor and the sleek lines. It has a very "clean" look which is exactly my style. Hubby and I shared a small bowl ($8.00) and it was huge. The large bowl ($10.00) is really, really huge! We chose the pick 3 with rice noodles and our choices were rare steak, brisket, and meatballs. The others choices were tendon, tripe, and flank. The pho comes with onions and cilantro, but I chose not to have those added. It also comes with a side of fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil, and lime. They also have jalepenos, but you need to ask for them. Had hubby had a bowl to himself, he would have certainly added the jalepenos, but my palate is way too sensitive for things that are very spicy. You can also add extra meatballs for $3.00 and extra noodles for $2.00. The pho was perfect and really hit the spot. Loved the steak and brisket. The meatballs were good, but could have definitely used a little something because they had a pretty bland taste. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly. We also shared the chicken fried rice. I asked for this with no veggies (yes, I am a picky, picky eater) and they were happy to make to this for me. The other two types of fried rice they offer are veggie and tofu. I have to say this is the best fried rice I have ever had. Hubby agreed too! It was a very generous portion and more than enough for two people to share. Although, I have to admit, it was so yummy, I think I could have eaten an entire plate of it all by myself. Our waitress was very busy, but she was attentive. I did have to ask for a drink refill once, but it was not a big deal and she got it right away. Our food was brought out quickly after ordering, I'd say within about 5 minutes. Our checks were delivered promptly. When we asked for togo containers for our leftover Pho, our waitress was kind and took the bowl and put it in a nice large plastic container herself. I didn't even think to ask about a dessert menu because I was so stuffed. But I have since learned they offer fried cheesecake. Next time I am here, I am definitely going to order that, even if I have to take it home and have it later. We aren't downtown very often, but I will definitely visit downtown Jax more often just to come back here!

Another fancy Asian place down town. Not very impress. Walked in to some kind of art class. I ordered what I usually ordered everywhere I go. All kind of beef stuff in pho. Meat balls wasn't real meat ball. Its like they ran out of meat ball and roll ground beef in to a ball.... :/ seriously ... At least get THAT right. That's traditional in vietnamise or thai noodle. Soup was salty. Sweet tea was pure sugar. Spring roll was two cut in half and freaking $7!!! The place is defiantly over price. I'm sure they don't care if I return or not which... I won't.

It was a rainy Saturday evening and I was in the mood for something warm and comforting. We decided Pho it was and headed downtown. I don't think parking is ever an issue downtown on the weekends unless something big is happening, so I tested my parallel parking skills (took me two tries..lol) and snagged a spot right up front. Very cute, modern decor. This place is brought to you by the folks at Indochine and We were seated quickly and started perusing the menu. I had not tried Boba Tea yet (I know, where have I been?!) so decided to try it out. Adam ordered a Vietnamese beer (Export 33, cool name) and we decided on the pot-stickers as an app. Since it was my first Boba experience, I must say I am a fan. I went for the Taro and it was smooth and soothing, and the tapioca balls were a nice chewy treat. Our server was running around like crazy, even though the restaurant was not super crowded. He let us know that someone had called out, and since we were not in a huge hurry, was no problem. We did notice people's entrees came out before our app, even thou we had ordered first, but again not the biggest deal in the world. The pot stickers were really good! They were served up in a bamboo bowl and the outside was more substantial than your standard sticker. Almost a like a samosa, and it worked. The dipping sauce was excellent, and since we love each other, lol, we allowed some double and triple dipping. We both wanted to try the standard Pho, so I ordered and small and Adam a large. We waited about 20 minutes, again, understanding they were a bit short staffed on this night. The large is humongous!!! The small is pretty big as well, which meant even more to take home for the next day. Sprouts, fresh jalapenos, huge, huge, HUGE basil leaves and a lime wedge served on the side, to spice and accessorize it up as you want. I took Adam's jalapenos and added some sriracha and went to town. The meat is so tender and the broth is delicious.... noodles, cilantro everything blended together beautifully. The spice I added warmed me up, after being damp from the rain and freezing in the AC, which was exactly what I was craving. Definitely worth the trip downtown and the wait.

Great atmosphere, friendly service however the pho was terrible, very salty and too pricey for bad pho in my opinion.

First off, I think ambiance is everything when dining in a restaurant and I loved the decor. Nice hard wood floors, exposed ceiling, and high top tables (at least where I was sitting). I had the China Mist Orange Blossom white tea which was very refreshing. The spring rolls were DA BOMB!!! I could have had eaten plenty more of these bad boys! They come vegetarian style also! My bowl of Pho ceame standard with rice noodles, seasoned beef broth, onions, scallions, and cilantro, bean sprouts, and lemon as a garnish. You have the option to build your own bowl of Pho with up to 3 meats so I chose shrimp, chicken , and flank steak. I ordered the small bowl.....which was actually quite large so I took almost all of it home with me. This bowl of Pho was just the tool to warm me up but my only complaint is that it needed a little more seasoning. The tables come equipped with Hoisin sauce and Sriracha, but that really didn't do the trick for me. Perhaps if the protein was seasoned first before being added to the dish. That's ok because it was still tasty and I would definitely be willing to go back!

This place is a hot spot for a good bowl of pho. I get the Standard every time I go - this is just the traditional bowl of pho with beef round, brisket, broth, noodles, and the fixin's (bean sprouts, thai basil, and jalapenos or thai chilis). I'm a pho snob. The Standard at Pho A passes the test. The broth is legit, the noodles are soft, and the brisket falls apart like a good brisket should. Also - solid selection of Asian beers - a point which would push this place to six stars if Yelp only allowed it.

I Love this place. The more I go the more I want to move into the back room. That way I could walk to and from Indocine's and Pho. Lunch n Dinner then Dinner n Lunch. So then I would just have to figure out how to get over the bridge to go to their new restaurant coming soon in San Marco. On this trip I had the Potstickers that were fried. Nice with a smooth crispy crust and slightly chewy canter of Pork and vegis. Then the Bahn Mi which was quite tasty and had a kick that could light up some folks. The Sandwich had a little of everything in it from regular ham to Asian ham and even a pate. It is all topped with some really fresh and crisp daikon, carrots, jalapenos and even julienned cucumbers that cools things down. This is by far one of the Best Sandwiches that I have enjoyed in a longtime. Pho Rocks.

I ordered a "standard Pho noodle" and it was a nice change of pace but it was nothing special, it certainly was not bad, but it was...ehhh. The service was good. Our table was quite sticky which just grossed me out. The food was served ridiculously hot so whatever nutrients used to be in that food was all killed off at that temperature. I have coffee at 160deg so I would guess it was around 180-200 degrees. Never in my life have I been served food so insanely hot. My buddies and I had to wait about 10 minutes just to eat it, in which time I started to throw ice from my water in the bowl of food. I also had a taro boba tea which was very good as far as boba teas go.

  • Nicole W.

Fabulous noodle soups! The broth was just perfect, no fishy or sink water taste. Clean and classy joint- Highly recommend. They also have thai tea and coffee as well as boba teas. Yum! I will mention its a tad overpriced, but I was satisfied with my meal and service.

I've been here a few times both for lunch and dinner-- portion sizes are decent and the prices are what one would expect for a restaurant DOWNTOWN. It's great that they have a vegetarian/vegan option, as some of the more traditional vietnamese restaurants in town do not. LOVE the kelp noodle substitution-- if you like seaweed, you'll enjoy these noodles. It's worth the $3 surcharge but do tend to lose the texture the longer it sits in the broth. Also want to be careful if you are ordering items vegetarian/vegan. The first time my husband asked for a vegetarian version of the bahn mi it had tofu-- the next time he ordered it they just gave him an banh mi sans meat and charged us $9-- which is definitely WAY overpriced.

  • Cecile B.

Overpriced pho, good service, great ambience=good pics; below average food. We won't be back for sure. 5 out of 5 of our orders were too salty. My stir fry beef tasted sour like some ingredients (probably the baby corn) were already expired (see my pics). The rice was tough like it was 1 day old. Thai tea was too sweet, boba was not chewy but hard & gritty. The only thing we liked was the interior design, which was good for social network pics.

Wow! Great food. Had the duck and it was delicious. Pot stickers were the best I ever had! Highly recommend this restaurant

  • Luka S.

Not very authentic and overpriced, they don't even know what a pho tai is. Tasteless and mostly just broth in bowl poor excuse to charge 10 dollars. Also had to wait like 20 mins to get my check and pay.

There are several dishes that I get on a regular basis here. This restaurant has the same owners as Indochine. I get the chicken Pad Thai at both of these restaurants. What I love at the restaurant is the Dumplings and the Oxtail Pho. The oxtail a are always so tender. I add the basil, sprouts, a little saracha and hoisin to the soup.

    (5)
  • Cate D.

VERY disappointing. Been to Indochine (the same owners as this place) a few times and was very satisfied so I don't know why this restaurant would be not nearly as good. We started with the fried pork dumplings. The filling was decent, but the wrapper was tasteless and doughy. I got "the works" pho, and my date got the duck noodle soup. The broth in both soups was very bland and watery, and the noodles were mushy. You should not have to add soy sauce to these soups to make them more palatable! We were in a hurry so we did not have time to order other dishes. One app, two small bowls of soup and one iced tea was $32. Luckily we had a Local Flavor gift certificate that we'd paid $15 for a $30 certificate, but even with this deal, I WILL NOT go back again, MUCH rather go to Bowl Of Pho on Old Baymeadows on the Southside.

Good place if you can actually time arriving when they are not closed for private parties during normal business hours. Disappointed to have made a special trip here for no reason. With that said, and having visited numerous times, this place smells quite bad inside (musty, moldy, something) and the staff need to smile. The food is passable, but the service can be spotty as their is oftne one lone server running all over the dining room taking care of guests. The most recent time I was here the spring rolls had improved dramatically, but I would strongly recommend they seat guests fairly close to one another when only server is one duty so customers receive more attentive service.

    (3)
  • Shoshanna C.

Had high expectations based on prior Yelp reviews. Restaurant was nearly deserted at dinner as were surrounding streets. Spring roll was good but overpriced at $7 for two. Pho broth was lukewarm and we were given a plate filled with bean sprouts that had turned brown. Place has potential but needs to step it up and pay closer attention to details.

  • Shelby S.

Great meal. Service wasn't the best. We had the pho steak and it was perfect. I would definitely recommend. The price was cheap. We got potstickers and two small phos for 25 dollars, including drinks.

Disappointed that I can't read properly. I showed up for dinner on Tuesday night. Whoops! Based on looking through the window and see a clean dining room, along with the ease of finding parking downtown, I'll give them a 4 stars now and will edit upon eating there.

Stopped into Pho a Noodle Bar while touring around downtown during Art Walk. It was empty when we entered but quickly filled up. Even with the busy rush, the wait staff was very attentive. The atmosphere is nice and the decor modern. I had the Pho Tum Yum with Shrimp. It took me a minute to get used to having noddles in my Tum Yum but in the end I was very full and satisfied. The popstickers were good too and edamame as well.

I was really excited when the Pho opened in the former Chew spot. I've been going rather frequently since, and I always have a good experience. At first, the service was a little slow, but it's gotten significantly better over time. I'm glad to see this restaurant doing well Downtown. I love that the menu gives options to build-your-own pho bowls, along with some different choices like Oxtail Pho and duck noodle soup. But I'm a creature of habit and usually order the chicken pad thai or chicken pad see ew. I love noodles, love bean sprouts, LOVE Asian food. You really can't go wrong with pad thai. I chose mine with a medium about of heat, but I think I could've gone a little hotter. I like my pad thai with a kick.

As others have mentioned, not real pho and just not very good pho if you know what it is. Aside from that, decent food, fresh, other dishes pretty tasty, but always seem like they are missing something. I know plenty of folks who love it (granted, I grew up eating pho so I am very biased), but it just isn't for me.

Went to Pho. A Noodle Bar a couple of days ago for lunch. It's a new place (where Chew used to be). The menu looked interesting, but unfortunately, the flavor is a bit lacking. Given it's a new restaurant, I understand there are kinks to work out before the restaurant can run smoothly. So the very slow service is expected as the restaurant was PACKED shortly after we sat down. I ordered the Oxtail Pho and my husband tried their The Works. My sister and our friend ordered the duck noodle soup. We also shared a sandwich. Of all the food items we ordered, surprisingly, the oxtail was the most bland. The Works was also very bland. It was surprising since The Works should be their main staple dish being that it's a pho restaurant. The base broth was just not flavorful. The oxtail in my noodle soup was cooked nicely in that the meat falls off the bone (yum), but it was lacking in flavor that I had to add a fair amount of sriracha in my noodle soup to give at least some kind of flavor. The duck noodle soup was good and the sandwich (forgot the name of the sandwich) was tasty, though a bit pricy for the portion. For the price, I was hoping the food would be much better than this. The service was pretty slow, but given it's a new restaurant, I am hoping given time, their operation will get better. I hope they improve their soup broth as well.

I finally got to go to Pho A Noodle Bar. My husband has eaten here so many times. We go into the place and everyone waves or just says hi. I later found out that they all know my husband here. The place is nice sort of modern décor with wide open isles and plenty of room. They don't pack you in. The owner Ladda came over and made sure we had everything and just me nice. We enjoyed the apps of Thai Chicken Bites and Pot Stickers. They were both very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The entrees of Standard Pho and Phad Thai with chicken arrived quickly. My phad thai was sweet with a lot of flavors all mixed into one fine dish. The pho had a great depth of flavors and just mixed into a fabulous dish. I just wish I would have known about Ladda's own dessert specialty the coconut crème brulee. Don't worry we will be back for some.

So this past week I had the occasion to be downtown a few days in a row and Pho was a pretty quick walk from my location. So I went for lunch two days in a row and I think I got a pretty good feel for the place. I didn't look up the Yelp reviews before I went and when I did I finally look them up... I thought it had been underrated. Both days there were several other tables of patrons, but I wouldn't say it was packed. The service was friendly and fast. The inside is cute and kinda trendy, and appropriate for a downtown eatery. The first day I had the Pad Thai with a 4/6 spiciness level. It had a great flavor and I must have been hungry b/c I ate it all... no leftovers. Down side was that I wish I'd done a spicier level b/c I wound up adding Siracha, which isn't exactly a complaint. The second day I had the small standard pho. It was huge and I had leftovers! I thought it had great flavor, although I am admittedly am not a pho expert. I added Siracha again today, but just b/c I like it. To drink one day I had a Thai Iced Tea and one day a Thai Iced Coffee... both standard and delish! As far as price goes, with tax and tip included one day $15 one day $16.... which in my opinion these days is standard for a sit-down restaurant lunch? I think this is a great option for this side of town :-)

I am from so cal and this is not that great pho. Things were So so so salty and the flavors were all off. Prices for pho here can get you two bowls of pho in la. But granted this is Jacksonville and there is limited selection of any authentic good Asian food and if you are so desperate for some miniscule essence of Asian food then this would be the place. I would rather cook my own food then eat here again.

    (1)
  • Kelly C.

Had the ox tail pho, which was yummy. The food here is quite good but I feel it is way too expensive for pho. I'd come here again if it were half the price, because that's what I'm used to spending on authentic Vietnamese food back in LA. But I guess you're paying premium for the atmosphere here. It's very modern and clean, which is nice.

  • M D.

First, the decor is nice, perfect for the location and the clientele for the area. Unfortunately, they use powder for their Boba not real fruit. The potstickers were decent, Thai iced coffee and tea as well were made decent. I did like their orange blossom white tea iced, having an authentic Viet Iced Lemonade would greatly add to the menu as well as drinks for children, current drink selection caters more to teenagers and older. We ordered shrimp fried rice which came out good, the Pho was very good, broth made leaning towards the sweet side but, still delicious. I was looking forward to tasting the Banh Mi, although good, taste wise was leaning towards an American palette than authentic Viet which is what I'm used, still adjusting to the area's version of Vietnamese dishes. Prices a little high IMHO for some menu items but as far as Pho goes, fair... I would recommend to check it out as the decor is nice. One thing, my wait staff seemed a little overwhelmed and forgot some things and kind of rushed around.

Decent prices and a good menu, including vegan pho. I was disappointed that the takeout we got did not have the traditional herbs to break into the broth. Three of us shrugged and agreed it was passable but nothing special.

Easily the most expensive Pho restaurant in Jax. One of the best lay outs if not the best too. The food is on point. They have a bar and hi tables. Notably a person saw us through the window while eating and thought asking us for money was an appropriate activity. Go after 1800 hrs to get free street parking and note they are closed on certain days to avoid making a trip for nothing.

Tasty broths, noodles and Veg. Duck Noodle soup is a must have, ask for pepper flakes, the soups don't come in different flavor temps.

  • Alisa J.

Much like others mentioned, the pho broth isn't as flavorful as I'm accustomed to. Had to ask for chili paste, but once I added it, it was better. One plus not previously mentioned: you can get kelp noodles for a small up charge. If you're trying to limit carbs, now you can enjoy your pho guilt-free. My friend said their pad Thai was good, but I didn't try it myself. I also had a boba tea, which was just ok (a little overly sweet compared with others - yeah, I know).

  • Rebecca V.

Pho is a cute little noodle house in downtown with a nice menu, pleasant ambiance, daily specials, and reasonable prices. We had the pad see-ew, pad thai, and xango. Everything was quite delicious and the service was wonderful! The only thing to bear in mind is that the food is not very spicy. They offer the food on a spice scale of 1-6, but even the 6 isn't spicy so I can only imagine that lower levels are rather bland. Nonetheless, the flavor itself was really quite lovely even if it didn't live up to my spicy standards.

So so environs but slams in the lunch crowd like a run on the bulls. Great fast selection of quality Asian food and no frills choices but does the truck if in a pinch for fast quality in Downtown Jacksonville. My suggestion is to get there prior to noon or be hit by stampede!

Amazing pho and price is just right! Downtown benefits from places just like this. The works with kelp noodles was phenomenal! I have craved pho since getting into jax a few weeks ago and it did not disapoint. Very nice decor and feel to the room as well.

Yum! My friend and I enjoyed this spot downtown on a Saturday night. I really loved the kelp noodles as a sub for the standard rice noodles in my pho. The interior was clean and the decor was inviting.

the vietnamese sandwich was way way overprice. I've tried it,although it was $10, but hey, maybe its some'um different. But nope, it's not. Normally, it goes for $3.75 in NYC, but for $10, i was expecting maybe a dessert and a drink. nope.. just chips..wtf. I could've done better myself. way overrated, and somehow, the establishment has the Thai setting.

This was my first time dining in as we did takeout last time. Great atmosphere to just sit, relax, and unwind during lunch. Food is prepared quickly as we did not wait long. Server was very friendly and prompt with our drinks. I did not try the pho rather I had the chicken fried rice which was more then enough to fill me up. $13 for lunch and the relaxing atmosphere was well worth it and we will be returning again.

If you need a solid bowl of pho for a filling lunch, easy date night or just recovery for after a night out, this spot should make it onto your regular rotation. Step in from off the street and you'll be greeted by the aroma of all sorts of Vietnamese dishes made fresh to order courtesy the same folks from Indochine. The decor is minimal and modern, the staff friendly and attentive and the food perfect for an affordable lunch or quick afternoon meeting. I first tried this spot while at One Spark, and immediately brought my boyfriend back the next day to try a bowl of pho and the taro boba tea. The standard bowl of pho includes rare steak, thin slices of brisket, fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil, onions, cilantro, a wedge of lime and rice vermicelli noodles all simmered in a light beef broth. I'm no pho expert, but I think the flavors blended together perfectly - toss in some jalapeños and I'm a happy patron. I was happy with the $8 (huge) small portion, but if your appetite is more demanding, opt for the large for $10. Next time I'll also probably opt for one of "the Works" options; they offer add-ins like tripe, meatballs, and flank. Not your cup of tea? There's also a vegan version. Besides the pho, I also spotted people ordering the Duck Noodle Soup, spring rolls and some of the wok options. All looked great to me. I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm downtown.
