My favorite fast food Chinese in town!...may not look like much, but try it! Even has a drive thru :)

Got the general shrimp combo for about $7.50 after taxes. A lot more vegetables than I've expected, and the shrimp was bigger than I expected. Fried rice was nothing special and I was missing an eggroll. But might come here again, definitely checking to see if they forgot my eggroll again.

Came here again for my Asian food fix. This time I ordered the Krab Ragoon, Steamed Dumplings with sauce, Orange Chicken with white rice, Sai Chai Beef & Firecracker Shrimp* (oooh spicey!). Everything was delicious & I still highly recommend this place. The do not have a website yet, but here is their menu online: menupix.com/menudirector…

I'd lived in the neighborhood for about a year and passed by this place almost every day for a while, but always ordered my Chinese food from other, much farther away places with nicer storefronts and more recognizable (chain) names. But then I realized that if I tried this place and it was decent, I could save myself some delivery money, so I gave it a shot! And it was totally worth it. My husband and I are creatures of habit and usually order General Tso's, lo mein, and sometimes egg rolls or krab rangoon, and when we ordered here the first time that's what we got. The lo mein and rangoon were delicious and the General Tso's okay, but our let's-try-something-new order of firecracker shrimp was kind of amazing. On our next trip we swapped out the Tso's for Hunan chicken and I found my new favorite sauce. We are super excited to try out pretty much everything else on this menu. With their great prices and perfect-for-me location, I don't think I'll be ordering Chinese food from anywhere else for a while.

I found the food to be absolutely average, as it should be I guess. The portions were large for the cost. I'll not be going back myself but that's only because I'm on a mission.

Trusting a new Chinese place is the hardest part about moving. Luckily I live a block away from this place now. THE BEST orange chicken I've ever had, hands down. I probably get it once a week. Super cheap and fast. This place NEVER disappoints. The family that runs it is sweet too.

WHOA. How is this place so good? I'm constantly impressed every time I get takeout here. First off, I love that there's a drive thru. Laziness aside, the food is crazy good. I've gotten basics here like crab rangoon and wonton soup. The flavors of the wonton soup are complex, with beautiful sesame oil aromas. The crab rangoon is addicting - so crispy and melty-creamy at the same time. Get some sweet n sour sauce to dip them in, the ginger is a nice touch. I love tofu, and there are several options to choose from. Kung pao tofu, sesame tofu, general tofu - I've had them all and they are all great. Big cubes of tofu, fried to chewy perfection. People - this place is really good. A gem in Riverside.

Two words. Fried rice. Another word. Amazing. Way above average for a Chinese drive through. Always furious when I realize they are closed on Sunday though.

Some of the best chinese food I've ever had! For a vegetarian, there were great options. The sesame tofu was great and the portion size was HUGE. Served 2 meals for me. Also, I really appreciated that the fried rice contained no meat.

I wish they delivered but then again it's only about a like from me so I'll quit my bitchin'. The sweet and sour chicken is delicious. The moo goo is outstanding. The man loves their ribs. I hit something gross in their egg roll so they are off my radar but their crab sticks work. Their portion sizes are amazing. Always enough for 2-3 meals. Totally worth the price.

If you know how to order at Panda House, you can have a good meal for a great price. Ask for "big shrimp" to be added to anything, especially the house fried rice. Moo Goo Gai Pan is tender sliced chicken breast w fresh crispy veggies in a light garlic sauce. Beef w snow peas is a good one too. They don't use that sticky sweet brown sauce like some do. Skip the egg rolls and go for the Crabmeat Rangoon (be sure to mix hot mustard, soy sauce and duck sauce together and dip them in it) Steamed Dumplings, featherlight and fragrant with ginger and lemongrass are another must try. If you get steamed rice be sure to ask for green onions to be added. Ordering sweet n sour chicken? Make sure to ask for all white chicken.

My favorite fast Chinese food that I've come across in Jax, so far... Don't let the unassuming appearance on the outside fool you! The lo mein is my usual. I sure wish they were open later, & that they delivered!

I ate here once, many years ago and hated it. My son has been urging me to try it again, so we did last night. It was good but very different taste from the average Chinese take-out/buffet places we usually frequent. The rice was ok (brown fried rice with egg and a tiny bit of sprouts) but the actual dishes themselves were full of fresh, crisp veggies and generous, tender cuts of meat. The egg roll was average. The most bizarre thing I found was the vegetable spring roll - it was very greasy and stuffed with peas, carrots, and corn. Seriously. The most outstanding item of all, was the fried crab rangoon. Creamy, not sweet, and more "crab" meat than usually found. I will definitely try this place again, but will stick to getting my vegetable spring rolls from China Joy up the street (near Publix).

The food is good, not the best Chinese food I've ever had but the best in Riverside. I only wish they would deliver. I've done the drive through many times and the food is always piping hot and very consistent. Even if you're not in the mood for Chinese their wings come in many flavors and are really good. They are very courteous as well. **Update** I keep hearing about this "gravy" to put on top of the fried rice... I tried it and although it wasn't for me I can see how some may like it; it's full of flavor, I wouldn't mind it on top of some mashed potatoes or crispy french fries.

I love how people bash this place then go next door to burger king. Inexpensive food with generous portions and several vegan options which is great!

This is a great place to get Chinese food in Riverside. Especially now that they hired ninja's to burn down Wasabi and Hot Wok. The food tastes like real food too, unlike most Chinese take-out places. I've eaten here twice, both times a good experience and will continue to do so.

Oh lawd, ordered from here again today and it was realllllly bad. I ordered the chicken and broccoli, expecting chunks of chicken, fresh broccoli, and a tasty brown gravy.......... but what I got was something much more foreign than Chinese. The chicken was mushy soft, the broccoli was mushy soft, and it was covered in what looked like a cup of saliva (or worse.) I didn't even bother to taste it, it smelled awful. Unfortunately the house fried rice I paid extra for was a done deal at this point, it was permeated with the smell of whatever that sauce was. The egg roll was horrible too, just really bland and almost mildewy tasting. One bite was enough. The corn nuggets I ordered were the only edible part of the meal. Suffice it to say, I will not be partaking in the next office order.

I love Panda House. I eat there pretty regulalry (twice a week). They have large portions, the meat and the vegetables are very fresh and you get good amounts of them. Some of my favs are the chicken with garlic sauce, the firecracker shrimp and the sa chai beef, their egg rolls and crab rangoon are unmatched. I don't really care for their fried rice so I get steamed. I'm confused about some of the other reviews, I noticed one person reviewed something not on Panda's menu. I do wish they were open on Sunday and sometimes open a little later, but they can't work all the time. By no means is this take out in NYC or San Francisco but to me it's easily the best I've had in Jax.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
