Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

My husband being Chinese, being new to west Jax area, we found a Chinese place with a great review! We had to give it a try, drive thru was quick, the food was incredible, we will definitely be coming back for more! And they gave us free dumplings and dumplings tasted like my Chinese mother in laws dumplings. I recommend this Chinese take out place for quick and great service with great tasting food.

I came across this place on a date about three years ago and being that I'm not from Jacksonville I couldn't find it again! In comparison to EVERY other Chinese place this one is my favorite for their lo mein and vegetable spring rolls alone! Well, it's out of this one and another great place that looks just like it on mayport, a couple blocks off of Atlantic towards the base. Anyways... It's made to order so it takes a bit longer, but they're usually polite, unless it's hectic and then they're a little rude. But hey, I'm understanding to a certain extent. My boyfriend always orders the general tso's chicken with shrimp fried rice and it's good. Their honey chicken, chicken and broccoli, spring rolls, chicken wings and a lot of other things are great too. They have homemade lemonade, it's sweet but very good. If you're near Dunn avenue give this place a try, you'll miss it if you don't pay close attention. Happy Yelping...

If you are going to give it a try, don't bother calling ahead. Three walk-ins passed me before I got my basic order. The chicken was tough with mushy breading. The fried rice that came with was plain. The interior of the restaurant smells terrible, so at this point Panda Express is a step up.

New China is the choice for Chinese whenever we all decide to order. Their setup is pretty cool as you can either walk in or go through the drive thru. It's definitely not upscale by any means. Of most of the Chinese restaurants in the area, you could definitely consider New China as a dive, but their food typically makes up for it. My favorite Chinese food item is Pork Fried Rice. New China has their own style of cooking it, which I'm not usually partial to, but it's cool to see some different styles used rather than each Chinese restaurant in the area cooking everything the same way. However, my favorite meal to order here is General Tso's. It seems to have a much spicier kick than most other places where I have had it. The other pro about New China is the amount of food that you get for the price that you pay. You get a ton of food. I typically have enough to last me for lunch and dinner of that same day. Also, just a forewarning, they are closed on Sundays.

I came here on a whim looking for a place to eat close by and had a craving for a little Asian. It is a great spot for lunch and when I went, there were plenty of people coming in for take-out. That was a good sign. I ordered the General Tso Chicken with white rice and ate in. I was pleasantly surprised with the portion and the flavor. This is a no frills Chinese restaurant that serves very good food and won't break the bank.

Tasty food and really fast service. They have good prices and specials. I tried the chicken wing special with fried rice. The fried rice is pretty plain but the wings were tasty. The price is well worth the good food.

I loved this Chinese joint. The chicken wings (go figure) are my favorite. Shrimp fried rice and wonton soup is also at the top of my list. Service is pretty efficient and the drive thru can get very busy.

Surprised nobody has reviewed this place yet. Probably the best Chinese take out in Jacksonville. The favors are so good and fresh. I use to work around the area and come here to eat lunch most of the time. Try the general tso chicken with white meat and lomein. The best!

Great place. Not the most upscale, but wonderful food and you get tons of food, especially for the price. I go here almost every Saturday with my family.
