Best Jamaican food in Jacksonville, hands down!

This place is now closed. Tough location for a new restaraunt. Fast, friendly service and excellent curry goat. It's a very small place so don't make plans to take a crowd with you. Plan on getting your food to go.

I had lunch today & Irie out did himself!! I had the jerk chicken wrap with rice & beans, lettuce & tomatoes with an OUTSTANDING sweet & slightly hot sauce. I can see that this place is going to get habit forming.

As a big fan of Belizian food, I was pleased to find this jewel on 103rd. Jerk and stewed chicken are my favorites but the fish is excellent too. The owner is ex Navy, authentic Jamaican, and a great cook. My son requests I get take home from here once a week until he returns to school. Good value for the money. You will not be disappointed.

The phone number changed, but we drove by to check it out anyway and were pleased with what we found! The new number is 904-444-3834. Caribbean cuisine is a new experience for me and I would recommend it to anybody! There is limited seating, maybe 3-4 tables. I had the curry chicken roti and some fried plantains and tried the stewed chicken, the ox-tail, and some of the cabbage. Me and my three companions were all very pleased!

Peter Irie ... sounds so sexy. I'm such a sap for a Caribbean accent. And a man that can cook! I called in to make sure that all the info on Yelp was correct before I ventured out to see the place. That's when Peter informed me they do delivery for big orders. So I decided to place an order for the whole office. Lunch turned into a huge luncheon with everyone digging into everyone's plates. Oxtail - Was very good but I still prefer Spice's over this one. But I still wasn't sharing it with anyone. Soca Chicken - coworker jokingly stated that he thinks his ex wife from St. Martin must work in the kitchen lol. Stewed Chicken - fell from the bone. Jerk Chicken - Coworker said it reminded him of Portland, JA Jamaican Patties - these became everyone's late snack. Taste pretty good even after being microwaved. Rice & Peas - Very good as well but still prefer Spice's over this. Mac - Cheese - I blame this for the itis. Plantains - nicely fried without being too greasy Stewed Veggies - very well seasoned Fridge is always packed with water and Cokes. So everyone passed on drinks. But when they saw me sipping my passion fruit juice everyone turned on me for not letting them know Caribbean drinks besides sodas were available. This place was golden. No complaints! Once the weather warms back up we're having another Caribbean theme lunch. The quality of food was great and I'm not of aware of any other place that delivers for a request made on the same day in our area. I just need to figure out where I'm gonna hang the hammock for nap time.

the food will dance on the tip of your tounge. The exspereance and unique flavor will bring you to the Caribbean islands with a flare of Asian delight.

Excellent service and amazing food I ordered Ackee and saltfish for myself and a side of roti with curry potato the. I ordered stew chicken for my friend.

First time eating here and I must say everything was excellent. Jerk chicken is spicy but good. oxtails are just delicious. Their guava tea is also very good. Stay tuned when we go back we're ordering something different so I'll be sure to let you know how it tastes.

This place was the best!!! 10 stars!! Friendly staff and food was amazing! I had oxtails and it was better than my momma' oxtails!!!

My boyfriend ordered shrimp and fries. We could have spent the same money at Publix in the freezer section and gotten the exact same stuff in larger portions. Never went back, never will.

Irie is an awesome guy. Former military. I had the chicken wrap and boy did have some flavor. Priced really well too. I will definitely be back.
