Totally love it and will definitely be back! We are very picky eaters. The environment, the service and the food have to be just right. After 1.5 years of living in Jax Beach, we finally braved the Southside and went to India's Restaurant. And loved it! We first tried the other two on baymeadows - one was closed for private event and the other felt like a really cheap fast food environment. So we drove to India's restaurant. Liked it right away. Bathrooms were clean, good starting sign. Excellent service. We always had someone checking on us without being annoying. Food was exceptional! Tasty, great size, good presentation and very timely. Will definitely be back

This is a great place for Indian food in Jacksonville. I love the saag and the naan was soft and crispy at the same time. I have been here 5 times for lunch or dinner and enjoy the food immensely.

The staff weren't very friendly but the food was great. I went there last month for their $6.95 lunch buffet. Get the vegetarian samosa, vegetable pakora, and channa masala. Soft drinks are only $1.

I was a couple blocks away at FSCJ Deerwood campus and given 30 mins to grab lunch. A couple of us decided to come here instead of the usual nasty fast food. I am so glad we did. The food was hot and delicious. Most of us had time for 2nd and 3rd helpings from the Lunch Buffet. And we got out for under $10/tip (including $2 tip).

Just came home from this superb Indian restaurant! We loved the food and courses were spread out perfectly! The man who waited on us was delightful! He hardly said a word and didn't smile but he was as authentic as the food served. It's the real deal! It's a good drive for us but well worth it! Mango lassi was yummy too. All in all a great dining experience.

I've been getting my Chicken Korma ( creamy & mild), Onion Bhajis ( amazing dunked in the mint sauce provided) & naan bread ( 2 large pieces constitutes one serving) from India's for as long as I can remember . I can count the number of times I've actually eaten inside the restaurant on one hand because I prefer to take mine home & enjoy while watching a movie. The food is consistently good, delicious & reasonably priced. In response to another reviewer's comments regarding the "friendliness" of the owners - I would have to agree, they are neither friendly or rude though - they are just somewhere in between. I find it amusing & it's never bothered me in the slightest. I feel I should venture out of my cosy relationship with India's as apparently so many good Indian restaurants have opened in recent years but I'm a creature of habit & if it's not broken...

It doesn't look like much, but it is AMAZING!!!!!!!! They make a proper tandoori chicken tikka masala. The Rogan Josh is also quite awesome, but the meat itself could be better. I prefer to get it to go, just cuz it's not that posh a place to eat. But w/e. By far my favourite (of 5) Indian place on Baymeadows.

The owners know you by name and the food is always great. I am getting ready for Diwali by getting some of the areas best saag on the buffet.

Folio Weekly readers voted it best Indian food in Jacksonville and they're absolutely right. Affordable, delicious food served on metal plates, attentive wait staff, oh and $6.95 lunch buffet!

Great food, seems to be getting better as well. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the ambience which is a bit lame/sterile.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant. I'm not going to say I've traveled all over in search of the best Indian food, but I've eaten at some pretty good Indian places far from here, and I still think it's the best. That being said, I only ever get the vegetarian combo for two. It's the only Indian restaurant i can think of that offers it, and to me, Indian food in general is best in a variety. The servers are all always super nice (and kind of stately), it's won the Folioweekly's "Best of Jacksonville" many times, and for some reason, though I can't quite place what it is, I really love the interior decor. It's simple and pink with almost a country look to it. Another thing, the chai is pretty amazing. Apparently they make it all there, and it comes sweetened. I'm not sure if there's free refills, though. note: If you end up getting the vegetarian combo for two, you'll probably need to take some home with you, so bring a tupperware or something, because they'll give you a styrofoam to-go box, the only negative thing I can think of to say about the place.

Best Indian spot in Jacksonville.

we went there for lunch. didn't do the buffet, but ordered from the menu. we had the chicken tikka masala and the bengan baratha (eggplant). not sure that's spelled correctly btw. good. service was ok. you get the feeling of down home with the couple that runs it.

This is probably my favorite Indian place in town. I've seen some varied reviews about the buffet, which I can't speak to, as I've only been in for dinner. And I've been to dinner several times over the past 5 years, but it was before I started Yelping, so when a friend told me she was craving Indian, I suddenly started craving it too (funny how that happens, right?) so off we went. There were four of us, all with pretty adventurous palates, and my only demand (and the one thing I always just have to order) is saag paneer. (Spicy spinach and cheese, please!) We decided on two combo dinners for two: the vegetarian and meat platter. The saag paneer is SO GOOD. So good, I would have been fine with just that, but the lentil and lamb additions were delicious as well, and you get a sampler platter of appetizers (both meat and veggies) that really hit the spot, and there was not a thing I didn't really like. Well, the tandoori chicken was a bit dry, but still had a good flavor. Add a sip of my friends mango lassi, a few Indian beers, and we were completely and delightfully stuffed, with plenty to take home for lunch the next day. Even though this place has been around for awhile, it still appears clean, and the same set up from what I remember. The gal taking care of our drinks was friendly and smiling, but the guy, well... he seems super traditional, and not very outgoing, but I think he adds to the overall experience, and don't let it throw you off. I just wish we lived a bit closer so we could visit more often. (But we did hit up the Indian Grocery next door, so we can cave to our cravings at home when we don't feel like driving or heading out.
I started eating at India's Restaurant because my roommate (Daisy S) loves it and sometimes you just need a night of take out Indian food with your roommate. I've actually never eaten in the restaurant (though I would like to try their lunch buffet) but have picked up take out many times. When it comes to Indian food, I tend to stick to my chicken tikka masala and theirs is fantastic. Nice, big chunks of white meat, a great tasting sauce (I don't get it spicy but it has tons of flavor) served with a container of really nice basmati rice. The dinner serving size is huge (the last time we got food there I was able to eat it for 3 separate meals). Generally there are one of two brothers up front running the register. One is very stoic and slow moving but the other one is quick and a little more outwardly friendly. It's so funny because they look a lot a like but behave totally differently. This area is full of Indian restaurants but this is probably my favorite.

The best indican food I have ever had. Every time I come home to visit Jacksonville I can't get it out of my mind! I want it every day! Coconut curry with shrimp is my favorite! The garlic naan is delicious. Favorite Indian food in Jacksonville hands down, no contest!

Only my second time trying Indian cuisine, and will definitely be returning for more! Everyone ordered something different so we could get a good taste since it was dinner and the buffet is only during lunch time. The goat curry, lamb saag, chicken biryani, shrimp curry, and the chicken curry were all delicious, and different. We also got the garlic naan, and the keema naan-soooo yum! Making it a point to go back and do the lunch buffet which is offered Mon-Sat from opening until 2:30. At $6.99, who can resist? Oh, and the staff was so very friendly and sweet. My daughter loved the mango lassi, too!
LOVE THIS PLACE. Crave their saag paneer all the time dude, forreal. And it's not a rip-off either! 12 bucks an entree and they even include dessert.... Even if you're taking out!! Same people always working there always ready to offer me a knowing smile. They know their food is excellent at an amazing price. They even do a buffet but to be honest I don't even see how the prices could be lower, it's such good food. Try the garlic naan to add to your meal... I really want some right now. Eat it for me in spirit.

Authentic Indian food! Exotic flavors and aromas. Staff are courteous, attentive, and prompt. A little wait for our meal, however totally acceptable and worth the wait. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great selection for vegetarians and omnivores alike.

I have been a frequent guest at all three of the major indian restaurants in Jax (India House, 5th Element and India's Restaurant) and this one is a really close second, but have to put it 3rd on my list. The food is quality but the variety is limited. The saag is the best in town. Full, thick and rich in flavor. Very hearty. The rice pudding is TOPS in terms of dessert. Tastes like an explosion of fruity pebbles in your mouth. The restaurant environment is never overcrowded. The lack of variety is the only downfall. Otherwise this is a really great restaurant.

Great Indian cuisine! The food was delicious and the service was great! Authentic Indian food done right. The place seems to be family operated which I really appreciated. I got the chicken tikka masala and I loved the sauce. The garlic naan was good. The bottom line: A great spot for a decent bite at a fair price.

Jaime S.
Please take into account that this is a family owned and operated restaurant and everything is made fresh and to order so there is a little bit of a wait but the food is well worth the wait, in fact I just went here and the coconut chicken was amazing as always. The food is always fresh and served piping hot. Best place to eat by far. My only complaint is that I ate way to much and now I am tired.
(5)
Nikhil M.
Great food but poor on the overall experience. Not a friendly owner , only 2-3 ppl running the restaurant and hence the service is a little slow and the place itself is quite small . Tried the salted lassi....Please do not try it ...absolutely no flavour...The lamb vindaloo , the chicken makhani and the chicken biryani were all excellent ...Do try those out.

Foods consistently good, love the atmosphere. My family and I usually put all the meals in the center of the table and go at it. Naan is just the top of everything especially the sweet naan bread

I love the food here. You cannot go wrong. There's just something so delicious about everything I have tried. I love SPICY food and so I usually order my meals as hot as I can get. It's delicious and their ice tea is good too (my main drink of choice). You really can't go wrong, but make sure you save room for dessert. Every single dessert ( and yes I have tried them all) is amazing! Plus the prices are just right!

Best butter chicken in Jax! We over 20 minutes just for their take out.

I've lived in Jacksonville my entire life and this is hands down my favorite restaurant in the city. The service is great and the food is amazing. I've had Indian all of the US and I've never found a place I liked as much as this one!

Xale D.
I like that the place is run by a stoic man. I come in, he greets me briefly. We waste no time exchanging pleasantries. I order what I always order -- chicken tikka masala. I'm not even sure if this is Indian food, but who cares? It's chunks of chicken breast cooked in a herby-tomatoey-heavy cream sauce. Did I mention the heavy cream? I'm lactose intolerant, so my toiletry bills go through the roof after a week of eating this stuff. What a perfect combination. The sauce:It's rich, bold, creamy, creamy, and creamy. The rice is soft, fragrant, and fresh, it reminds you of mom's freshly washed hair as she softly whispered you into sleep.

Steve G.
I only was here for the lunch buffet...it's pretty cheap per person....but it's soooo good. I really enjoyed the tandoori chicken and the tika masala. The naan they make is really good. Good service, good food, good prices....A winning combo.

This is hands down the best Indian place in the entire Jacksonville area. The lunch beuffet has everything you could ever want on it and the staff are as authentic as it comes and very service oriented. This is the place to go in Jacksonville for Indian food.
(5)

Very clean. Extensive Dinner Menu. The Children's meal is actually an adult plate with a few bucks off. The Appetizer sampler is a veggie/non veggie mix of 6 or 7 different items and bread that maybe one of the most incredible deals around. Service was brutally cold but efficient. Almost like East German border guards did a training in the restaurant.

I cannot tell you how great this place is. The food is amazing. Naan is always cooked to perfection, I cannot get enough of Coconut Chicken. Cheaply priced and definitely the best Indian restaurant in all of Jacksonville. I try to go at least once a week. Definitely worth your time and taste buds! Service is very attentive to your needs as well.

This was our second visit to this restaurant in a strip mall. The most noticeable aspect at first, is it's very clean. We tried the garlic and plain naan. Both arrived hot and were very good. We shared the chicken korma-mild version, served with basmati rice and a small cup of lettuce with tomato, cucumber, and a fresh yogurt sauce. Portions were more than enough and not overwhelming. One of us tried the lamb skewers and also chicken tikka masala. All come with the same sides. This is a very charming spot and worth the visit. Indian music was playing in the background. Another nice touch.

We have been coming here for years and we love it. The family is so sweet. The food is so excellent. I can't even detail how great and tasty the food is. I love it. I think I said that.

After trying most, if not all of the Indian places on Baymeadows India's has the best Saag around. Hands down. It's to the point where even when I'm eating it I'm craving it. The lunch buffet is pretty decent with all the basics for a nice price of $7, and Saag is always there so of course that means I give it 5 stars. If you get there early you can get some amazing naan, when it's super hot and fresh!

Marla R.
My husband absolutely loves this place. The food is reasonably priced and great quality. The service can be a but dry but your water will never be empty neither will you have empty dishes for too long. One time one of the waiters offered a beer to my father in law in surprisingly good Spanish! Best Indian food I've had!
(5)
Karen W.
I absolutely love the food that they serve here! The chicken makani is sooo delicious as well as their nan!! The service is great and the establishment itself is very quaint and quiet. I highly recommend India's restaurant to any looking for AMAZING Indian food!

7 of us went for the $6.99 lunch special, which is mostly vegetarian items and a few (3) chicken items. Not nearly as diverse as what I remember at nearby Flavors' buffet or Apna on Beach Boulevard. For the price, it was decent and the atmosphere is inviting and clean. There's ample seating though it never got too crowded when we were there. Everything on the buffet was fresh and good but nothing stood out or really wowed me. I enjoyed the rice pudding for dessert - a slightly sweet way to end the meal.

Very good Indian food, although I really cannot compare as this is my first time eating it. The food was very flavorful and delicious. We ordered the vegetarian sample plate and were not disappointed. We will be back.

We had a delicious meal of chicken tikka masala and eggplant. The rice was tasty and the samosa were flaky with a creamy filling of mashed potatoes. Service was okay and the staff is not particularly friendly but they are efficient.

Have been going for years and I regret not going for the fist ten years , mild and pure taste . very good vegetarian and meat dishes. I love the chicken and would say the salad is good quality too. Simply best Indian cuisine in JAX

We came in at the end of lunch and the place was pretty quiet. The man & woman running the dining room both seemed friendly and our service was slightly above average. I had the lunch buffet, chai tea, & garlic nann my date had the chicken bryani. It was delicious, hot, & sooo tasty. Bonus: Lunch buffet is very affordable I'll definitely be back. :-)

New to the Jacksonville area, we very much enjoyed our first dining experience here. Sandy was a friendly and knowledgeable server that helped us to navigate the extensive menu and find suitable vegan options. We were impressed and pleasantly surprised by the options available to us. The gluten free chickpea flatbread with dips was light and crispy. We shared a 4 entrees: a yellow lentil dahl, and cauliflower and potato dish, an okra bindi masala and a spectacular smoky eggplant dish. All were delicious. We loved that the flavors were intricate and not overly spicy. Also appreciated was that he food had a light quality and was not overly oily. You can bet we'll be back here soon.

I'm not sure if I'm just an Indian food snob or what, but this place was really lacking. After looking at the small lunch buffet, I was not impressed. I probably should have walked out then, but decided to order from the menu because I was really craving some butter chicken curry. BUT WAIT, there was no butter chicken curry on the menu (really? wtf?)...so I ordered the regular chicken curry. The staff was kind of strange, but the waitress was very prompt with filling water glasses (which tasted kind of off and metallic). The chicken curry was editable, pretty mild for medium heat level, but the chicken chunks tasted like they came out of a can. The Naan bread was beyond disappointing and could be equated to something reheated off a grocery store shelf. So, the search is still on for good Indian cuisine in Jacksonville...I need my butter chicken!
(2)
Siobhan S.
Not the best atmosphere when you initially walk in. Menu options were good but food was only "ok". I also ordered a mango lassi that was too thin and sickly sweet. I was really disappointed.
(3)
Monica S.
The small buffet here is inexpensive but GOOD! Note: I sat by the front door for my lunch and everyone who walked in asked the very same thing I did when I entered India's, "Do you have a buffet?" You can see the corner of the buffet from the entryway, however, it doesn't look like anything is actually on it AND it is in an extremely dark corner. Lunch Buffet Price: $6.75 Whoo hoo!!! Items on Buffet: -Basmati Rice - Perfectly cooked -Chicken Tandoori - Very good flavor!!! -Veggie Pakora "Fritters" - This was my favorite! I ate these with a little yogurt sauce. -Cabbage Peas & Potato - Flavorful seasoning -Veggie Curry - Huge chunks of cooked carrot and slightly sweet, realllllly good. -Naan - Delish!!! -Crisp Veggi bar with Sauces -Channa Masala - Chick Peas, spice and herbs I must rave about the Tea at India's as well!!! I was not expecting my unsweet to be sooo flavorful. Apparently their brew is made with Cardamom. I absolutely loved this spicy treat!

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the Jacksonville area; have tried others but this is the one to which I always come back. Its where I like to go on my birthday.
(5)
Hana B.
I went here for the first time a few days ago not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised! I went for the affordable lunch buffet and tried a little bit of everything that was offered. I enjoyed everything I had but my favorite was the saag punjabi with naan and vegetable fritters. The best part was leaving full and not greasy and bloated from the food. A few reviewers mentioned the staff is standoffish but I did not get that at all. They were always helpful, respectful and prompt. Our waiter was quiet but I appreciated how he let us enjoy our delicious food in peace. I can't wait to introduce more people to India's Restaurant!
(4)
Vetey D.
I love Indian food and this is by far one of the best in Jacksonville that I've tried. I've tried about 3 others... I usually am skeptical about the lunch buffet but had to try it since it was so cheap. I was not let down at all. It was flavorful and warm and had some selections that I liked. Their entrees are always fairly priced and leaves you full and satisfied. My sister in law, who's really picky about Indian food, loves this place as well. From now on, if I want Indian food, this is where I'll go!
(4)
Bunder S.
I was pleasantly surprised with their food, just as many said the staff wasn't the most pleasant but as long as the food is official who cares! They definitely know what there doing in the kitchen. If your in the area it's a must-go!
(4)
Sara W.
Really good food in a quaint, clean atmosphere. The staff is mostly an Indian family and the food seems to be very authentic and prepared with care. I see a lot of complaints about the rude, aloof service of the owners. I get it. But they are punctual and thorough, even if not fake or even really friendly. I don't know, I find it somewhat charming that they act like I popped into their own living room at a bad time and ordered 3 orders of Naan. It makes me laugh.
(4)
David T.
Decided to try this for lunch today. I'm hardly an expert on Indian food but I thought this was a fairly good lunch buffet. There were plenty of good options. The Naan was fresh and the vegetable fritter things were delicious. My only complaint really is that the woman who I assume is one of the owners was very cold. The service was fine otherwise (actually they were very prompt with water refills) and I'd come back here again.
(4)
Samara G.
We were craving some authentic Indian food so I took my teens here for lunch yesterday. Very impressed with the large vegetarian choices. My daughter and I had the dal and my son ordered the channa masala. Delicious! Very clean, service was great, food was exceptional. Will definitely return again in the near future.

Excellent lunch buffet, unfriendly service. Veg fritters incredibly wonderful in a salty, greasy, heavenly way.

Get over the fact that this restaurant is in typical Florida strip center. This is where the locals go and after one visit you will know why. The staff (all family) is vey attentive. The decor is tacky at best ( why are the pictures hung close to the ceiling??) but the food shines. After a very disappointing mango chutney to go with an order of nan, things got better. The mango chutney ($1.50) was hard and in large chunks. It was nothing to write home about. With 4 of us we got to sample several entrees such as chicken masala, vegetarian combination dinner, non vegetarian combination dinner. No complaints from anyone. The nan bread was delicious. The lentils with the vegetarian dinner were scrumptious. Everyone raved about the spinach. The curries (chicken and lamb) were delicious and spiced exactly as ordered. Washed down with some Indian beer there was no room for desert. All entrees were $13.95 or less. Will definitely return the next time we pass through Jax,

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the WORLD (and I have been to India). The coconut curry is AMAZING. You can make it vegetarian by asking for potatoes. The Peshawari naan is INCREDIBLE. This is like last meal material. The staff is great as well. It might seem like they don't like you, but they really do. It is all out of love and jest.

I was never a big fan of Indian food before I moved to Japan. While living in Yokosuka, I fell in love a little shop located just outside the naval base in downtown Yokosuka. Every time I ate there, I asked myself why I never partook in Indian more often when I lived in the U.S. I promised myself when I returned that I would find a great Indian spot in any city I lived. Now I'm in Jacksonville, and well, unfortunately, India's Restaurant is not that place. Knowing what I know about how great Indian food can be, India's leaves much to be desired. I'm not saying that to food was horrible or gross, but it reminded me why I did not like Indian food before I moved overseas. The food lacked that spark. It lacked the smooth, creamy textures of the curry with the soft, crispy crunch of perfectly cooked naan bread. For anyone whose only experience with Indian food is here, don't judge the whole subcontinent of Indian cuisine on this place. I have hope that there is great Indian out there, even in Jacksonville...maybe, I hope.

Wasn't bad. Couple of smiles would help. Food was ok...would have enjoyed the chicken if it had large pieces and less curry. Chicken pieces were smaller than pop-corn chickens..all indian restaurants are doing this, it seems..

Love this place and the naan bread is worth it's weight in gold. Love, love, love! The staff is friendly to me. They take my order, bring my food and leave me alone to go into a naan coma.

This family run restaurant is great. We went for dinner today. A variety of options for vegetarians. Food was very tasty and damn affordable. Tandoori roti was nice - buttery and soft. I loved the food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

You know, Folio Weekly loves this place and I think that drives a fair amount of their business. Maybe it's a good relationship with someone at the paper [errr... advertising?] or maybe whoever at Folio decides these "Best Of" things has poor taste buds, but this place is NOT the best Indian food in Jacksonville. My husband and I love Indian food. I absolutely crave the stuff. And I have to say that India's is just kind of bland. The menu options are not that varied and what they do serve is salty, but just doesn't jump out at you with any particularly great seasonings. Another thing is that the people who work here are a little bit bizarre. They hardly speak and often treat us like we are a nuisance, that serving us is somehow a disservice to them. My husband and I always get a good chuckle out of it, but honestly it affects the experience. You won't have a bad time here, but don't believe it when people say its the best in Jax. That is just not true and it would be a shame to believe so. [Because then you are missing out on the actual best! Most of the real bests have closed, sadly, but Masala, in Cilantro's old spot, is my new fave.]

India is the birth place of Chicken Tikka Masala and Curries. Indian foods are prepared with a blend of finely mixed spices quite popular across the region. The spices develop the rich taste in Indian food enough to boggle your mind. The ever-increasing fan base of Indian food around the New York city is steadily increasing because of the large number of Indians who traveled to the land of dreams. The Indians also brought their very own vibrant, colorful, and aromatic authentic dishes for the people in the West. While most of the Indian population is Vegetarian, Indian food is great for people who are looking for vegan or vegetarian food option. If you are a Meat lover, don't get disappointed yet. Indian food also boasts of some popular non-vegetarian dishes too. Few examples are the famous Butter Chicken, Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken are enough to satisfy your taste buds.
Indian food has gained reputation all over the world especially in the United States. You can find many places serving the appetizing Indian food across all major cities in the US. India is a diverse country with different food culture originated from different parts of the country. While the Northern region boasts tandoori dishes and korma offering royal taste, the Western Ghats offers sea foods that is made in naturally sweet tender coconut milk. The South Indian food servers a quality of different dishes made from rice accompanied with spicy chutneys, curries and famous sambhar. Also, the Indian sweets are a delight to relish. If you ever want to have a burst of sugar syrup in mouth, don't forget to try few Bengali Sweets. Be it spicy, tangy, or sweet flavor, you can find everything in the Indian cuisine. Be assured that the melody of spices will surely bring delight to you.

Love, love, LOVE this place! The food is amazing, and I love a family owned restaurant that know my name :)
(5)Jennifer P.

Good stuff!

Update there is no upstairs; however, I kept hearing a noise which sounded like there wan an upstairs.
(2)David S.
Very nice place for vegitarians. There were three kinds of vegitable dishes on the lunch buffet.
(4)Courtney M.
Mmm mmm! This is the best Indian food!!
(5)Jeff P.
Loved it. Never had indian food before and this was a great start!
(5)Sharon M.
(5)Jackie H.
Simply delicious. We go weekly!
(5)Ayanna B.
(4)Mark C.
The owners know you by name and the food is always great. I am getting ready for Diwali by getting some of the areas best saag on the buffet.
(5)Sarah Beth G.
Folio Weekly readers voted it best Indian food in Jacksonville and they're absolutely right. Affordable, delicious food served on metal plates, attentive wait staff, oh and $6.95 lunch buffet!
(5)Andre C.
Great food, seems to be getting better as well. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the ambience which is a bit lame/sterile.
(4)Sterling C.
(5)Brian S.
Best Indian spot in Jacksonville.
(5)Joyce M.
we went there for lunch. didn't do the buffet, but ordered from the menu. we had the chicken tikka masala and the bengan baratha (eggplant). not sure that's spelled correctly btw. good. service was ok. you get the feeling of down home with the couple that runs it.
(3)Allie A.

I am floored by the high reviews on Yelp. I don't know if I walked into a dimensional shift and ate in an alternate universe where burnt dry fritters that tasted like old rancid oil are de rigueur or what! But the reviews on Yelp in no way reflected my experience. Twilight Zone people... There was no paneer anything and very, very few entrée/appetizer options. Whenever I eat buffet, I always take about a teaspoon of any item that looks appealing and go back to my table to taste and see what I want to eat. My plate looks pretty usually, like an artists paint palette. Only a couple items looked edible. None were. the Channa Masala had NO FLAVOR and it looked like it was in a pale orange sauce that had zero spices in it. I've never done this before, but I could not bring myself to eat there. I left, and I will not ever be back.
(1)Kristina K.
(4)Lindsay M.
The best indican food I have ever had. Every time I come home to visit Jacksonville I can't get it out of my mind! I want it every day! Coconut curry with shrimp is my favorite! The garlic naan is delicious. Favorite Indian food in Jacksonville hands down, no contest!
(5)Eleanor C.
(5)Vinayak K.
I've been eating the goat and lamb curries from here for the past 3 years - at least once every 4 weeks, when I visit. This is a very interesting restaurant - the décor is sparse, the owner can seem a bit rude (he really isn't, its just his personality), but their food is phenomenal. Don't come here for the ambience... come here for the food P.S. I once asked the owner if I could have an extra plate... he asked me why :) I cracked up, laughing :)
(4)Valerie C.
(5)Fernando S.
Authentic Indian food! Exotic flavors and aromas. Staff are courteous, attentive, and prompt. A little wait for our meal, however totally acceptable and worth the wait. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great selection for vegetarians and omnivores alike.
(5)B M.
(4)Jessica P.
(3)Jaime S.
(5)Nikhil M.
(3)Richard R.
Foods consistently good, love the atmosphere. My family and I usually put all the meals in the center of the table and go at it. Naan is just the top of everything especially the sweet naan bread
(5)Beverly H.
(4)Nish S.
Best butter chicken in Jax! We over 20 minutes just for their take out.
(4)Savannah B.
I've lived in Jacksonville my entire life and this is hands down my favorite restaurant in the city. The service is great and the food is amazing. I've had Indian all of the US and I've never found a place I liked as much as this one!
(5)Xale D.
(5)Steve G.
I only was here for the lunch buffet...it's pretty cheap per person....but it's soooo good. I really enjoyed the tandoori chicken and the tika masala. The naan they make is really good. Good service, good food, good prices....A winning combo.
(4)Jason B.
This is hands down the best Indian place in the entire Jacksonville area. The lunch beuffet has everything you could ever want on it and the staff are as authentic as it comes and very service oriented. This is the place to go in Jacksonville for Indian food.
(5)Michael C.
(4)Elisha V.
Most authentic Indian food in Jax! My husband and I have been eating here for almost 15 years. Very consistent!
(5)L H.
This is one of my favorite places. I love the lunch buffet. Everything is fresh and delicious. Looking forward to the next time!
(5)Chad L.
(5)Ccwriter V.
(4)Barbara H.
We have been coming here for years and we love it. The family is so sweet. The food is so excellent. I can't even detail how great and tasty the food is. I love it. I think I said that.
(5)Brentley S.
(5)Marla R.
My husband absolutely loves this place. The food is reasonably priced and great quality. The service can be a but dry but your water will never be empty neither will you have empty dishes for too long. One time one of the waiters offered a beer to my father in law in surprisingly good Spanish! Best Indian food I've had!
(5)Karen W.
I absolutely love the food that they serve here! The chicken makani is sooo delicious as well as their nan!! The service is great and the establishment itself is very quaint and quiet. I highly recommend India's restaurant to any looking for AMAZING Indian food!
(5)Caron S.
(3)Leslie D.
Very good Indian food, although I really cannot compare as this is my first time eating it. The food was very flavorful and delicious. We ordered the vegetarian sample plate and were not disappointed. We will be back.
(4)Ganesh V.
Not very tasty but I feel cost is little low compare to any other I paid $7 for buff.
(2)Sheba S.
We had a delicious meal of chicken tikka masala and eggplant. The rice was tasty and the samosa were flaky with a creamy filling of mashed potatoes. Service was okay and the staff is not particularly friendly but they are efficient.
(4)Chris P.
Have been going for years and I regret not going for the fist ten years , mild and pure taste . very good vegetarian and meat dishes. I love the chicken and would say the salad is good quality too. Simply best Indian cuisine in JAX
(5)Jenny G.
(4)Michael P.
(5)Barbie S.
(2)Siobhan S.
Not the best atmosphere when you initially walk in. Menu options were good but food was only "ok". I also ordered a mango lassi that was too thin and sickly sweet. I was really disappointed.
(3)Monica S.
(4)Kristen M.
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the Jacksonville area; have tried others but this is the one to which I always come back. Its where I like to go on my birthday.
(5)Hana B.
(4)Vetey D.
(4)Bunder S.
I was pleasantly surprised with their food, just as many said the staff wasn't the most pleasant but as long as the food is official who cares! They definitely know what there doing in the kitchen. If your in the area it's a must-go!
(4)Sara W.
(4)David T.
(4)Samara G.
We were craving some authentic Indian food so I took my teens here for lunch yesterday. Very impressed with the large vegetarian choices. My daughter and I had the dal and my son ordered the channa masala. Delicious! Very clean, service was great, food was exceptional. Will definitely return again in the near future.
(5)Lindsay M.
Best indian food I have ever had. This includes other big cities like DC, Baltimore, and London. I can't get enough of the flavors at this restaurant!
(5)Brenda T.
Excellent lunch buffet, unfriendly service. Veg fritters incredibly wonderful in a salty, greasy, heavenly way.
(5)Joe M.
Will definitely return the next time we pass through Jax,
(4)Taylor M.
(5)John S.
(2)Ente O.
Wasn't bad. Couple of smiles would help. Food was ok...would have enjoyed the chicken if it had large pieces and less curry. Chicken pieces were smaller than pop-corn chickens..all indian restaurants are doing this, it seems..
(3)Kat W.
Love this place and the naan bread is worth it's weight in gold. Love, love, love! The staff is friendly to me. They take my order, bring my food and leave me alone to go into a naan coma.
(5)Falguni M.
This family run restaurant is great. We went for dinner today. A variety of options for vegetarians. Food was very tasty and damn affordable. Tandoori roti was nice - buttery and soft. I loved the food. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
(5)Hilary L.
