I was first introduced to Howie's in Gainesville. The location I frequented the most had a permanent special, a large one topping pizza for 5.99 so I ordered it often after long nights of drinking. They were the only place in town that had flavored crusts or three cheeses that didn't cost an arm and a leg. So when I moved to Jax, the first thing I did was locate a Howie's. The one that delivered to my area (which has since closed) was disgusting. It was greasy, the slices weren't thick enough, and not enough sauce. PLus there was barely any seasoning on the crust. Now, I told you that so I could tell you this: The Normandy store is easily the best one in the whole franchise. The employees are friendly and the piZza is perfect, even better than the one in Gainesville. There maybe a quart sized spot of grease in the box, there is a perfect sauce to cheese ration, and the crusts are loaded with seasoning and not excessively chewy. I advise you to try the cajun but they have eight total. Unfortunately at this location they don't have the everyday 5.99 deal, it's only on Wednesdays. Also they don't deliver to my house so I have to get off my fat ass and get it myself, but its only 7 miles away and hte pizza is worth every bit of driving time. In their favor though, they also have excellent calzones, subs and if you're into rabbit food, salads. Next time you want good pizza at an affordable price, skip the big chains and get Howie's instead.

Pretty good I'd eat it again, we had pepperoni plain crust and pepperoni w/green peppers with garlic parmesan crust. It's kind of like little Ceasars or the old dominos but with a more substantial crust. I love the flavored crust option, the pepperoni had a good taste and cheese was real. I gave it three stars because i'm a pizza junky and I have had better but when I've got to have pizza and I don't have a bunch of money I'm going here. (the sauce also contributed to the three stars it could just be me though)
