Stopped by today for lunch. I cannot believe this place is still in business. WOW, the worst service I have experienced in years. We walked in right before a large party of 8 people. Knowing that their order would take awhile we quickly ordered. We have been here before and knew we wanted the chicken teriyaki. After waiting for 25 minutes the party of 8's food came out, but not ours. Odd, but at this point we are thinking our food is next. That would be a big NO. We called the waiter over to get an eta and he seemed genuinely confused. We waited another 25 minutes. Unbelievable. We had to take the food to go at that point, and do you think they even offered to compensate us in ANY way. Ummmmmmm, no. We will never be back.

My roommate treated me to lunch after our hair cuts. We both had the lunch maki special - the food was delicious. The staff however are all young and really not taking their job seriously. A song that came on while we were eating had lyrics that said "It aint nothing cut that bitch off" the whole song was littered with profanity while I don't mind listening to music with cursing it was wildy inappropriate for a restaurant to play it. Some of their staff were making sushi for themselves using their hands eating it behind the counter, it was a very casual and laid back atmosphere that was not quite was I liked.

Not sure why this place has bad reviews! Today was my first visit to Fuji Sushi & it won't be the last! We had a large group of 8 people for lunch (Tip: you need to call ahead and make reservations for parties of 6 or more) and everything was great. We were seated right away & began placing our orders. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and we never had to wait to reorder. She was refilling drinks promptly & our food came out fast and fresh each time. I personally do not eat sushi, but they had a ton of delicious kitchen items like Pork Gyoza, Chicken Tempura, Teriyaki Steak & Fried rice.. All delicious! Everything was all you can eat for $12.99.. We got our money's worth.. And then some!! Keep it up, Fuji!

HORRIBLE SERVICE. There are 2 people running around like chickens with their heads cut off. At first thought 'poor things' but then it became quite apparent that they didn't know what they were doing. Then they bring your food out a dish at a time in sporadic intervals. Oh and you have to remind them what you ordered because it was apparent the didn't write it down. If you do eat here make sure you remember your order. Also we watched one table (who was here before us) and they waited 30 minutes to get their food. In the meantime our table and two others placed our order and began getting our food before them. They kept asking when was their food coming and kept being told out would be out shortly. Finally we were almost done they got a plate or two. Poor guys asked if they could get a discount or something for the looooonnnnggggg wait and they said NO! UNBELIEVABLE! Needless to say we will NEVER eat here again!

I came here with my friend since she lives out at the beach & we wanted something somewhat healthy. I can already tell you--I will NEVER EVER go back & do not recommend this place to my worst enemy! Living in Los Angeles for 8 years & knowing what's great sushi, I really didn't expect much food-wise. But I gave it a try anyway since it was suggested. I ordered the all you can eat sushi lunch special for $11.99 or $14.99 -I can't remember because it was one of the WORST EXPERIENCES I HAVE EVER HAD IN ANY RESTAURANT! - and my friend ordered one individual roll for herself. BIG MISTAKE! The entire time, the owner? manager? and the waitress were total Sushi Natzis! Seriously? We were NOT even sharing! Then, the waitress had the audacity to come to our table and accuse us of sharing food. Really? Talk about a ruined appetite. This place gets 1 STAR because I've calmed down since that fateful day. Terrible service, subpar sushi (UNLESS YOU LIKE EVERYTHING FRIED WITH TONS OF SAUCE AND RICE FOR FILLER) and the HORRIBLE SUSHI NATZI LADY. Really brought back old memories of Catholic guilt.......Shame on them! Boo.

This place has some of most rude servers I have ever seen. Extremely pushy. I'll NEVER be back here again!!!!!!!!

Maybe I went on a bad day, but I thought the sushi was terrible. I don't even think what they were serving as Tuna Sashimi was really tuna. The entire place needs a thorough spring cleaning and the service was sub par especially since I was the only person in the place at the time. I will never eat there again and do not recommend it. If you want good sushi, call Wasabi on Atlantic and San Pablo. They'll deliver as well.

I was the only customer in the restaurant at dinner time. I ordered a hibachi dinner and the best I can say is, it tasted like the cool did the best he could with cheap, awful ingredients. The food tastes cheap, not like it was necessarily prepared badly, just like it was bad food. My only other direct complaint is my salad. It was just some iceberg lettuce that was drowning in ginger dressing. I wouldn't go here again.

Fuji is a solid 3.5 rating, but worth going to. Free mushroom soup with crunchies with the meal, which is always a plus. GREAT service, very attentive and kind. The seaweed salad did the job, nothing special. Had some really good rolls, however they weren't wrapped really tight and were falling apart. The Yellowtail roll was incredible, and prices on everything were VERY reasonable. Large selection of rolls to pick from. Atmosphere was -meh-, pretty normal. Definitely recommend if you're in the area, but not the best in town.

Have passed by this place many times, and wasn't too excited about the "Fusion" sign, but decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. Not blown away by any means. But satisfied enough to go back. It's a pretty small place, only four booths and a handful of tables plus a tiny sushi bar. Interior is nothing special. What this place does have in its favor is very good service and prices. The edamame appetizer was around $3, compared to the $7 at Koja Sushi II (?!?!), and it was tasty. I liked the gyoza, but I wouldn't get the chicken yakitori terikayi again. It was a bit overcooked and chewy. LDC had the vegetarian hibachi and enjoyed it. We didn't try the sushi this time. Maybe on a return visit. Their list has 92 rolls ... so something ought to be tasty, right? So, I can't say if this place is any good at sushi just yet. As far as that goes, Koja Sushi II is still our favorite. But for reasonably priced apps and Japanese entrees (tempura, katsu, hibachi, teriyaki), Fuji is an option. I'll just steer away from the chicken next time. Recommended, with caveats.

This place has become a weekly tradition. It's 10.99 for all you can eat at lunch time and 20 for dinner. I seriously don't know how they make money because I eat more than $11 worth of sushi. The BMW roll has the most fish per roll and if you go at dinner you can get sashimi. Service has always been speedy and drinks never empty. Seriously, I don't have enough good things to say.

Best dine-in sushi deal in town. All you can eat lunch $10.99 Tuesday to Sunday. $19.99 for all you can eat sushi dinner. Great quality food. Pacific roll is my favorite. All made to order. Restrooms are not the cleanest. Service is great! A go-to sushi joint in East Jax and Beaches.

Wonderful service, the waitresses are very friendly. When they're busy they can sometimes forget to stop by to check drinks but that is a minor thing! Delicious food every time. Always consistent which I love because I can rely on the food to be delicious. Great all-you-can-eat special 11.99$ for lunch and 19.99$ for dinner. I never liked sushi before I came here to eat and now I'm hooked!! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

We frequent Fuji because the price is right and haven't had a bad experience and/or food poisoning. Lunchtime is when we visit and enjoy the food each time. It's not the best sushi, but for AYCE, Fuji does the job. Tip: If you eat a lot, submit your 2nd/3rd order form as soon as your food comes out, otherwise you might wait awhile.

It's not a top of the line sushi place but I haven't had any problems with this place. As long as you can eat more than $20 worth of sushi it's totally worth it. However it does take a minute for them to get back with you for your next order, you just have to have it ready so when you're finished with your food you have it to give to your waitress.

Went for dinner. Waitress informed us you have to pay a $12 monthly membership fee to be able to purchase alcoholic beverages. Wtf? Hope the owner enjoys selling lots and lots of water to their customers. When I worked in a restaurant years ago, we encouraged customers to purchase alcohol because that's where they made money and how we made tips. The food was eh. Nothing special. They gave us spicy crab salad. (Not sure if they give that to everyone or if we just looked especially surly). The conch nigiri was nowhere near fresh. The other sushi was sub-to-average. Won't be back. Service was bad.

heard about this place from a friend who said they have a "all you can eat sushi lunch special" so the BF and I decided to give it a try. I like my sushi simple. so I actually enjoy this place. if you're a bento-regular and love the complicated sushi... this place isn't for you (don't even compare them.. seriously). a little about me.. I LOVE salmon (and tuna!) rolls. I usually order the same things every visit: Green Dragon (no cucumber), salmon roll, spicy shrimp tempura roll (no cucumber), salmon hand roll, spicy salmon hand roll, and on occasion hibachi beef or noodles w/ mix veggies. i've tried the hibachi chicken & salmon, my advice: don't. the service varies. some days are better than others. but for how many times the waiters/waitresses have to give you the all-you-can-eat paper, punch it into the register/computer, print out a little slip and then deliver it to the chefs... i understand the wait between rounds of sushi. i too have experienced "lost orders" such as receiving only 1 salmon roll rather than 2. or receiving a spicy shrimp tempura roll when i ordered a green dragon. my advice: write legibly! the price of their "Taste of Japan" (all you can eat) menu has changed. again, this makes sense for AYCE sushi & grill. ($9.99 to $11.99 for Lunch) They did introduce AYCE dinner: $19.99. still a good price for AYCE sushi in my opinion. i've paid upwards of $25-$30 for AYCE sushi. so $11.99-$19.99 if fine with me! my BF and I are regulars, averaging once a week to once every two weeks. simply put.. we've been there so many times i got a free meal from the Spot On check-ins. So get on my level! But in all seriousness... If you need a sushi fix, this is your place.

Went on a whim one Saturday afternoon. One other table was occupied by customers. The server seemed new but allowed us plenty time to look over the menu. While waiting, a few of the staff came out to eat themselves and then the servers joined them. Our food was brought out in decent time. However, my guest ordered the combination hibachi dinner and was served only chicken. He mentioned it to the server only to be told that hibachi didn't come the way he thought he had ordered it. We didn't have a menu anymore so he didn't bother to argue. I had two rolls. The House and the New Orleans. Not bad but not great either. The clear soup was very tasty but my guest did not like the dressing of the salad. I had noticed signs posted all over the doors that they offer an all u care to taste special on Sunday starting at 5pm. So I returned about 2 weeks after my first visit to see the same sign and now a new on advertising the all u can taste offer on Saturday and Sunday but by reservation only for $15.95. I asked the server about not reserving before hand and the man behind the sushi counter shouted "then u pay $19.95" OK there is no one in the restaurant here and it's 5:15pm. I said fine and sat with my son and and his father. The server then asked for our drinks and casually tell us only sushi is offered on Sunday. My son will eat sushi but never just sushi itself. His father and he will usually split hibachi and one sushi roll unless he is hungry enough to have a kids plate. She said all they could offer in addition to sushi is a bowl of rice. No where is it posted or advertised that it's sushi only on Sunday. I politely handed the menus back to the server and told her we would not be eating here tonight. With the vibe I had gotten since walking in on my second trip I don't think I will be eating here ever again. Especially since I live in OP and this place is 45mins away. I am always in the Southside area and know there are much better places to spend my money. Sorry but customer service is not a priority here. If u can overlook that then maybe u will enjoy this empty spot.

My husband and I have used the reviews on most of the restaurants we choose to try. Getting more and more disappointed in the actual food compared to the reviews. I'm wondering, who are these folks praising food like this? Our meal started fine, with 4 very lightly fried crab rangoons, then took a quick downhill slide. The "spicy scallops" I highly doubt were even scallops, because they were so diced and thrown on a bed of shredded carrot. I tasted not one bit of ANY seafood, much less scallops. But, we continued. We were sharing a scallop and steak hibachi meal and it couldn't have tasted any worse if I'd microwaved a frozen entree'. There were about 7 small (1/2") size lukewarm overcooked sirloin bites, and about 4 "scallops"? again??? These were more than likely shaved shark, as they were each about 1/4" thick NOT KIDDING!! The grilled veggies were soggy, the noodles greasy, and the rice was semi-hot. No one ever came by to ask how we were doing. Probably a good thing. Service was poor to say the least. Don't waste your money here. Go to Panda Express. At least there you get hot food! We were so tired of chain restaurants and wanted to support local businesses, but with bad food and lousy service, I think we'll be grilling at home all the time now!

I have never been inside to eat, but I have ordered to go several times and I am always happy-! The sushi is delicious and the prices dont hurt. I have never had trouble with the service with take-out. I would definitely recommend for simple-traditional sushi lovers. Also the squid salad is so yum

I have been to this establishment three times twice for lunch and once for dinner. lunch time is the time to go the price is perfect for all you can eat. service is not so great unless there is not many people, each time I was at Fuji you have only two people running around taking orders and they are running around like crazy so when it came to refills on my beverage or new orders it was a good wait to put them in and a good wait to get them. I also noticed their was water on the floor the woman's bathroom was flooding and water was everywhere and no one bothered to clean it up, it was their when we got their and it was still their when we left. I brought a friend with me I was embarrassed.....

Love the all you,can eat. Never had a bad meal and service is always good. Yes, the food does come out as it's ready and not all in one meal but that's not a problem for me
