We went in to Fancy to order a few rolls to take home for dinner yesterday. The inside was very clean, and had a nice minimalistic feel to it. An open dining room with plenty of booth and table seating. We were quoted 15 minutes for the order, and it was ready in about that time. When we got home, the miso was still piping hot, and on a cold, rainy day, hit the spot. Not a ton of tofu in there, but a nice and rich flavored broth. I was surprised at the size of the rolls we ordered... they were huge! The big bites made for a bit of messy eating, but the flavors were good, not mind blowing, but solid. We shared the Dynamite, Crazy, Fancy and Fuji Mountain rolls. The Dynamite was probably my favorite (loved the asparagus) and the smoked salmon on top of the Crazy roll was crazy good. (Haha!) The location is super convenient and next door to my nail place, so I can definitely see us taking advantage of this spot more.

The staff is SUPER friendly and the sushi is fresh and DELICIOUS! We had the crazy roll, California roll, Salmon sashimi and the magic fire roll. I would definitely order ALL of these again! I love sushi and would highly recommend Fancy Sushi. Definitely check them out!

One word, amazing! More must be said though. The Fancy Cafe is beautiful inside, softly lit and bathed in blue accents. The menu is extensive with soups, noodle dishes, sushi, tempura, hibachi and more. I had the Shrimp Tempura Bento which was presented perfectly and was delicious. Very fresh with bright flavors. It was a plentiful spread. The service was also friendly and efficient. I believe this place will soon become a star in the area.

Decided to try this place last night, as it's incredibly close to the house we just bought. We are normally pretty loyal to Sumo Sushi in Riverside, but were pleasantly suprised by not just the quality of the Sushi but the service and atmosphere. The waitress we had was friendly and prompt, bringing us multiple refills before asking, and the food came out relatively fast. They even gave us a complimentary basket of crunchy noodles, which I haven't seen at other Sushi places. I decided to be adventerous and got the Tropical Roll, which had apple, mango, white fish tempura, and crab stick. It was huge, and delicious. We will definitely be going back, and I'm looking forward to trying some of their Bento boxes, which looked like a great deal.

We found this place when they first opened and decided to give it a shot as it was close to home. The place is clean and usually isn't very busy. They have a good assortment of sushi and sashimi on the menu and at lunch have some specials, which are really reasonably priced. We have eaten here twice and had it as takeout once and it is always fresh and pretty good. It isn't my favorite place to go, but it is a really good place to have some sushi and they also have bento box dinners as well if members of your party are not sushi fans.

Definitely a solid addition to my lunch rotation. Next time I'll definitely get a bento box.. a large box of food for a great price. The sushi was fresh and the rice was sticky enough to not fall apart. I had the pink lady and a yellowtail roll with some miso soup. The pink lady was a very interesting roll with thinly sliced lemon and salmon. Not sure I'd order it again with so many other options but it was worth trying once. Miso soup was pretty standard but a decent sized portion. Service was polite and our drinks were kept filled. My only wish would be for slightly faster food prep on a lunch hour. It's good enough to go back, it will probably just be reserved for Fridays, when I have a longer lunch break.

Food was great. I had the king roll, potstickers. My husband has the 3 roll lunch special. Service was ok....she was slow. Plus she was by herself at lunch time. It was very clean. I would come back.

My wife and had driven by this shopping center many times and when we saw they had a new Sushi restaurant, we knew we would have to give it a try. We have been back a few times since then and have even gone in for take-out when my wife was not feeling well enough to eat out. We really liked their selections and found each to be made of very fresh ingredients. The wait staff has consisted of one woman each time we have visited, but to be honest, our visits were not at their busiest times. They open at 11:00am each day, except for Sunday, when they open at noon.. They remain open until 10:00PM each night and 11:00PM on Friday and Saturday. If you are looking for a great sushi restaurant, you can't go wrong with Fancy Sushi. The ambiance is quite nice as well. Perfect for date nights, in my opinion. On the other hand, we have always gone it before noon or before 5pm and as I mentioned, it was always just a single waitress there to seat us and wait on us. There have never been more than 3 tables filled on the three occasions we have eaten here, which is sad given the quality of the food and size of the restaurant. It can clearly hold many more customers and we hope that the word gets out and others come and support this new restaurant so we don't lose what we believe is a welcomed gem to the westside.

I have eaten at quite a few sushi places in the area and this one may be my least favorite. While the decor is very trendy the food just wasn't as I hoped it to be. I did like the option and variety of Bento Boxes they offered but I just feel that there is much better quality sushi near by with better pricing. I don't think I'll be returning soon but may reconsider once they've been open a bit longer.

I haven't enjoyed as much of the menu as I would have liked to before posting a review so in transparency I've only been 5 times. I usually get the salmon or tuna hand rolls and every time I go it's always top notch sushi. My only complaint is that they feel the incessant need to play deep south country music intermittently mixed with anime theme songs and some occasional pop. It's like I walked into a bad SNL skit and then someone fed me delicious raw fish bits. Lovely place, amazing food, very very weird ambiance.

Awesome! This place is better than sumo sushi has been lately, which to me also makes it better than most of the other places in Riverside/avondale. Good harumaki and amazing sweet potato roll with cream cheese and sweet sauce. The crunchy mango shrimp roll was also a favorite. The interior is pretty nice, I like that the tables are far enough apart you don't feel like everyone in the restaurant can hear you. Take out was ready in 10 minutes on a Thursday and packaged well. The location is a bit out of the way of the heart of the area, but makes up for it with the ease of getting into the lot and parking.

First off let me throw out the disclaimer: I am not a sushi expert by any stretch of the imagination (which is why I only did four stars) but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. Chose this place originally because I saw a photo here on yelp of potstickers. Figured if I didn't like the sushi I would at least get the potstickers. Well the sushi was delicious and fairly priced too. Told a couple of my co-workers about it and they visited last night and so far everyone I have told about this place has loved the food. Although I'm only in town another week, will likely go back at least once more, maybe even two or three times.

We decided to try their lunch bento boxes. Delicious! I had the curry katsu chicken. It was good and a lot of food. The service was attentive and quick. The atmosphere was very relaxed.
