I would rate it zero stars but that's not an option. The staff is rude and unattentive. My biggest pet peeve while dinning out is an empty glass. We were the only table when my glass became empty, she was at the table a few minutes before and if she had paid attention she would have noticed it desperately needed to be filled. When I got up to go fill it myself I spotted her sitting at a booth watching tv. It's one thing to take a little break but not while my glass is empty. I had to ask several times for the same thing. The manager was even ruder and acted like she didn't care even more. The kitchen was slow and one order was not served until well after everyone else's. The sweet tea was so-so, lemon made it better but it still wasn't great. It was drinkable, but not the best.

My favorite wing place. Not necessarily this location but I love their wings. I used to live near the Beach / San Pablo location and was a frequent customer in 97/98. Then moved to IL and would come home to visit family and we frequented the Merrill Road location near my grandparents home. Now we are annual guests at the University / San Jose location near my father in law's house.. The wings are consistently good as is the service. I wish we had a Dick's Wings in Bloomington, IL

1-21-12 Wings today was very dry like that was leftovers and Service was very slow. When I told the server that the wings was extremely dry her comment was so sorry plus from time to time I kept hearing foul language coming from the kitchen. My first time at Dick's wings and more than likely my last.

Dick's had good choices in wing flavors. The waffle fries are great! Atmosphere is okay. Best Wings in Lakewood, without having to drive to Towncenter or Tinseltown.

I've been coming to this location and LOVING the food ever since I was in elementary school, and that was a long time ago, folks...... A lot of people are turned off by the location just because the address is on University Blvd. but I absolutely love Lakewood. It's actually a nice area, right in between Mandarin and San Marco. Dick's Wings is a great place to eat for all types of people, whether it be singles, business people, or families. We started out as a family of four and grew to a family of eight and still love to come here! I also come with friends or on lunch dates with my mom. It's my go-to place. I've always had great service here, whether at lunch or dinner time. The waitresses are very sweet and helpful, especially if you take the time to strike up a conversation! There are plenty of regulars here, and you can tell why they keep coming back. The dining room and restrooms are always kept clean and tidy and I've never felt uncomfortable eating here for sanitary reasons. I give Dick's Wings 4 stars simply because it's a chain restaurant. It's not the most unique place in the world, but it's still really good any day of the week. And almost every other location I've been to has been consistent in quality of food! Most importantly, the food has continued to be awesome for the full 10+ years I've been eating here, and that is huge!! My personal favorites are the Cajun Ranch traditional (extra crispy) wings, the Honey BBQ boneless wings, the grilled chicken wrap, the chicken nachos, the bacon-cheese waffle fries, and the Cajun Ranch burger. All of these dishes are classic, American staples done extremely well and for an affordable price. And don't even get me started on the Fried Oreos....talk about shame for days after you've eaten the whole basket and are licking up what's left of the hot chocolate dipping sauce!!

Full disclosure: I know the owner and his family. That being said, I recommend this location of Dick's, because of the quality food. I've been here several times but this is the first time I've reviewed this place. Service is good. The wait staff is attentive and seem to enjoy their jobs. Smiling faces, quick ace and lots of interaction with the customers. Today I strayed from wings and tried the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It was delicious. Ordinarily, wing places overestimated the heat of their sauces, Dick's does not. The medium sauce that I ordered with my wrap was satisfyingly hot. The food was fresh and hot when delivered and tasted great. The portions were good sized as well. My only beef with Dick's is that they are ever so slightly over priced. Still, if you are hungry, especially for chicken, stop in. You will be satisfied.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
