Overall Always "purty" good. :) They've always been consistent. Specific ratings: The Service was 5 (greeted quickly and waited on with a smile and courtesy), Facility 3.5 (older but well kept), Food 3.5 (good on taste; portions scratching ok surface), Price/cost 4-4.5. Summary: Definitely recommended.

This is definitely one of those quiet mom and pop type places. The food wasn't top of the line but it was good. Our server was the nicest woman ever. She made the whole trip there well worth it. I think her name may have been Lynn? Not sure. I think we will be trying it again in the future.

Look up the word DIVE in the dictionary and you would see a picture of this place. The interior needs a serious cleaning and redesign. Very tired place to sit and try to enjoy a meal. Breakfast was just the basic and nothing special. We would not come back to this place. It seems they have their regulars and maybe that is what has kept them going this long.

We have been coming for four years, the food was good and plenty of it but not now! Ordered the house omelet like usual and.....what happened!! Management came out and told me that it was a three egg omelet and that they have been making some cutbacks in the ingredients. New cook thinks that a three egg omelet is the same size as a deck of cards. Not fooling anyone! We will not be back. A good omelet is worth finding a new place for breakfast!

Been re-reading some of my older reviews. The origianal review stands, but I'm re-rating; I was a bit generous in my early reviews. A solid three-stars; I still eat here an average of once a week.

Not better than Mom's and definitely not better than Grandmas; but better than mine! :) Home cooking southern style. The daily specials are usually the best to order, they are almost always hot and extra tasty. Wait staff is all over the board, some days very friendly, some days not. But, they almost always are watching and waiting on customers timely and accurately. My son for some reason, thinks this is a great restaurant --- he loves egg sandwiches and he can get one here every time we go, no matter what time of day, so that is good for him. Locals love this place. Some folks go every day. The place may be old, but clean and reasonably priced food. The Country Cabin on the westside is awful the couple times I have gone, but this one is good, breakfast can't be beat here for price and quality and quantity. Crowded on Sundays after church.

Flew into JAX from NJ. Found this place on yelp and thought we'd try a local place. Chicken fried steak was fried into a brick. Highlight was the fried pickles, which were still too salty. Hard to mess up a BLT but my bother was not happy with his. I must say that it was inexpensive.
