Awesome food. I haven't actually ate inside yet. Both times I've ordered to go. First time was one of their pizzas, and the most recent was a pasta with grilled chicken and white sauce. They give you a good amount of food for the prices, and everything (so far) has tasted great. This is a new location on the north side. Glad it's here too because its high in my list for the north side eateries.

The worst thing about our dinner tonight was the hostess. Not once did she smile at our family. Isn't that her job? Make the guests feel welcome? She led us to a table with bread crumbs all over. My husband cleaned it off with his napkin. Our server was good she even had a smile on her face! Our salads were perfect! Entrees were very good too. Service was a little slow but the food was worth the wait. I would have given them 4 stars if the hostess had smiled even once! As we walked out there were 3 employees at the podium and not one of them said have a good evening or thank you. This location really needs to catch up with all of the other Carrabbas and provide the customers with the great customer service that we expect.

First meal after traveling all day and was quite excited. I don't typically do chains that often but I actually LIKE Carrabba's and well, typically chains are consistent. This was not the case. I sat at the bar since I was solo and thought it'd be fast and easy. First off, the men's room was a disaster. I'll put it to you this way, A dad was taking his little girl to use the restroom and they walked out almost immediately. I ordered a salad with my entree and asked for vinaigrette. I got it and as soon as I tasted it, it was Italian. Bartender asks how everything Is, I asked if they didn't have vinaigrette. He said, "Oh, I thought you meant Italian...everybody here refers to Italian as vinaigrette." I guess it's a Jacksonville thing? It's not a HUGE deal but if I wanted Italian, I would've asked for it. Lastly, the entree I got that I always get, Pollo Rosa Maria, it typically stuffed with fontina and sauced. This chicken breast was no more than 3oz and seemingly to small to be stuffed. Therefore, it was just covered with a SLAB of cheese and the sauce tasted fine but looked weird. Regardless, my first hot meal of the day after traveling was completely mediocre and dissatisfying.

Average food, nothing fancy. Did not like their sauce, pasta or lasagna. Salad was pretty good, Pizza looked ok but pricey. Not any better than fast food or a olive garden. Ambience was not bad but they had tv's in the restaurant (cheap, unwanted).

I used to really love Carrabba's restaurants. They are certainly a tier above the Olive Garden. At least they used to be. I visited one a few months back in Orange Park which was new and I was surprised to see that although the food prices went up somewhat, the portion sizes went down significantly. I am a big fan of the fried zucchini and when I used to order this product you would get a fairly large pile of zucchini on the plate to share. Now you get a fairly small sized portion it is about one small zucchini. I ordered the linguine with clam sauce which was pretty good although in my dish there was four unopened clams which represented approximately half of them. I am used to this with a butter and wine sauce so this was basically an Alfredo sauce that supposedly had a wine sauce flavor but it did not. They were very heavy with the garlic. When I mentioned to the server that have to clams were on opened which led me to believe they might not have been cooked all the way he took the four uncooked clams and came back and told me they were going to cook it again. They actually took those same four clams, put them back in a pan with some sauce, (like a tablespoon of sauce) and then brought them back to me on a small plate and after they brought them back one of them was still not open. Bad form. My son had fettuccine Alfredo and it was pretty standard. The lobster mac & cheese was basically lobster macaroni with not much cheese or sauce. Frankly not much lobster either. All the portion sizes have shrunken significantly. What the prices being substantially higher than Olive Garden I would expect that they would at least make their portion sizes comparable. Not so. The service was nice and pretty attentive. We saw no sign of a manager the entire time we were there. Normally if I was to get uncooked seafood in any restaurant the manager would come to the table and apologize. Not here, no apology, no fresh clams, and no discount for my trouble. Based on the Orange Park and North Side Jacksonville branches of this chain, I don't think we will be coming back. That is too bad because I really used to enjoy sitting at the bar watching them cook the food.

I would say the Stars speaks for itself The waitress was friendly, but the service was slow, when I receive my soup I ask if I can have some cheese, so I got tired of waiting, and ate my soup. And when my Husband order another drink, he didn't receive it.The manager came around to ask us how everything was my husband told him, the Manager So he made the drink and Coffee on the house.being our anniversary, dessert was on the house anyway, I've been at this establishment before service was good then, I hope they fix the problem soon, or they may lose a lot of their regular customers .

Very attractive restaurant, nice staff, professional servers good food. We were a group of 5. 4 out of 5 had a good meal, the fifth didn't get her correct order until the rest of us was through eating. (And she was the one who wanted to come to this restaurant and she gets out very seldom being a senior citizen with many health issues.). The manager took her entree off of the bill, and they packed it all up for her and put in a basket of bread. I ordered the pork tenderloin wrapped with prosciutto and slightly sweet glaze and garlic mashed potatoes. The pork was so very good. But, I could not eat the potatoes because there was too much garlic in them. I had the house salad and it was very close to being a Caesars style salad. With all the other restaurant choices in the area we will probably not choose this one again, at least not in the immediate future.

This Carrabbas consistently delivers great food and service. Have never had a complaint. The folks here work their butts off to make sure everything is perfect. Check out the happy hour. Great drink specials (half price crown royal!) and half off all appetizers. The cedar plank salmon is always grilled to perfection and the grilled asparagus is the perfect complement. Filet Marsala is another winner make sure to get it with the angel hair marsala. CC, Nick, Josh, Anthony & Shelby will take care of you at the bar. (They work their butts off and are all good peeps!) Plus you'll meet lots of interesting folks at this crazy bar with its close proximity to the airport. lol

I was at this Carrabba's for the 5th time since it opened and it was the worst time. Let me start off by saying the waiter that served us was way in over his head and his feet appeared to be hurting him. The service our waiter provided was slow and he did not have a clue as to how many tables he could handled. The Manager took off 4 dollars off of our bill (big deal) and said she was sorry for the screw up. Not mad at waiter or manager I just don't have time and money to waste. This location is a hit and a miss if your lucky you may get good service. This Carrabba;s needs to hire people who really want to be waiters. I'll give my hard earned bucks to Olive Garden next time I'm in that area.

As far as chain restaurants go, Carrabba's tends to be on the tastier side. This one recently opened on the Northside and appeared that they were still working on some of the landscaping outside but is open for business. I came in for lunch and had a salad and pizza. The goat cheese pizza was very good, and they give you enough for leftovers!!

I've been a resident of the north side since before the whole River City project began, so seeing the development including Newks, Outback and Carraba's was a welcome sight. I was especially looking forward to Carraba's since I was a fan of the chain as well as other locations in Jacksonville. However, since it's opening I've had less than stellar experiences. However, my family of 6 set down and then proceeded to wait 15 minutes before a server even greeted us. David was the manager. He proceeded to identify a server but overall the dinner took excessively long. He did make up by giving my wife and I a card for a free dinner next time for our trouble. So.........we tried again. Unfortunately this time was worse. A month later, same family of six. They sat us in the exact same table. Not only did they not have a server greet us, we waiting 10 minutes and after eyeballing 5 different servers as they walked by diverting their eyes, I was done. Boy has the quality declined. Ordered shrimp scampi and calamari appetizers. The shrimp was hot, garlicky, and dipping the toasted bread in the seasoned butter was good. The calamari was luke warm (read, not freshly cooked) and unfortunately, there is no Ricardo sauce for drenching. Only sweet tasting marinara. The calamari gets 1 star. The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
