Great food. I come all the way from Baymeadows & Philips to pick up my order. Fried pork wonton reminds me of the ones back in New York.

I just paid $11 for orange beef.. and it's going in the trash. The sauce itself is actually pretty good with a mild spice.. I actually started just eating that on some of the rice. The "beef" itself is primarily breading - I wish I'd read the other review on it before ordering! What beef there is in there is a straaaaange color and is MUSHY. Ugh. I don't dare risk eating it. The color tells me it's either not beef or it's not cooked and somehow it has a strange fishy flavor. Either way, not going back to this place.

Got some pretty good chinese food, absolute worth for the $. The employees are extremely nice. They greeted me with big smiles and their place is surprisingly clear.

If I can give this Chinese restaurant 0 star I would!!! Worst Chinese food. First they have u the wrong order. Second, when we called to let them know they didn't even apologize rather they had the manager call to try to "settle" the matter. The manager was clueless, I'm sure she was like 13, she's the owner's daughter, the only one who speaks English in the family... Third after getting my order right they were AWFUL! even my dog wouldnt eat it!!! I really miss our old Bamboo wok! Beware y'all this place is not worth a penny!!!! They cut to many corners to make money...

Bamboo Wok is a small Chinese restaurant in the Bartram park. It has few tables laid out but a quick look at the floor suggests it hasn't been swept in years, so take-out is what you wanna do. One of the young and restless owners was eating topless at a table when it was full busy on Saturday evening. The menu has hundreds of items listed, all just the combination of core Chinese items done so as to amaze the customers and we all fall victim to it trying to figure out what to order. I chose the safe bet, Hunan Chicken. That was one of the disgusting thing I ate in the name of Hunan Chicken. It had no taste in sauce, took one bite of chicken and didn't dare touch the next piece and worst of all it was swimming in a pool of grease. I've never seen a Chinese food so oily in my life. The rice, however was really good and so was edible with few pieces of broccoli, peas and carrots, the rest went to adorn the refuge, what a waste of $8.87 It is the only nearest Chinese place and their lunch special is $5.45, so will try to get something else when I go there next time, which won't be anytime soon.

Had dinner from here last night and will not be back. Food was just disgusting. Fried rice has peas carrots and onions. What happened to bean sprouts and egg? The chicken dish had meat but was it chicken? The crab rangoons looked like a 3 year old made them and they were so over cooked you could not bite them. Stick to the sushi restaurant next door if you want to stay local or the soon to be Panda Express will probably put them out of business.

Good lunch specials here. $5.25 gets you one of 37 different deals. The meals are large with lots of,your choice of protein. I took my wife back here for a late dinner (they are open till 11pm on the weekends). The food was good....but I almost lost it when I saw a cockroach run across the floor!!!! I HATE that! For that alone I am not sure if and when I will go back. I did like the food, but I cannot deal with bugs in a restaurant. I know it's probably not uncommon.... But I don't want to see it while I am eating!

I had a great experience!! I work somewhat far from this location and often don't get a very long lunch break. I placed the order online that had quite a few modifications and was a little worried that it wouldn't turn out right. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was ready in under 20 minutes and came out perfect...and it tasted great for the low price of $5.99 (lunch specials woohoo!). I highly recomend it and will definitely be back.

They don't deliver, though it comes up as delivery in yelp. They're an average Chinese food take out. Very fast service.

Terrible place! Now that original owners are gone and new owners are running the place. Very sad they are gone because the place that is normally busy for take out is now empty. I do not think this place will last much longer if they do not make changes. Notice how empty this place is in evening should give you fair warning. i write this review on October 12,2013 A terrible shame that original owners are gone!

This food was absolutely disgusting. I went in to order cheap Chinese food and boy was I surprise. I ordered the orange beef, took it back to my hotel. Started to eat and a few minutes, I wondered why I only tasted dough. I ate some more and realized there was zero beef but rather dough balls with what looked like a small shred of some sort of meat. This was no fluke and was consistent with the other 20 or so pieces of dough. Disgusting, deceiving. I am asian and the only place where I've seen this kind of deceit was in Asia. I did not expect this here. Eaters beware!!!

Bamboo Wok is very hit or miss. When it's good, it's great!! But sometimes it just seems like a sloppy mess! Side note-why don't any of the Chinese places deliver in the Bartram area?

I love the food here, I am a chinesse food freak and this one is by far some of the best i've tasted for fast take out . Try the dumplings or the chicken curry for lunch .

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
