I drove by this location numerous times, but the old exterior of the restaurant and their lack of customers always deterred me from trying this place out. I was surprised that this fast food joint has a decent Yelp rating, so I've decided to try it out. I ordered the Giant Cheese Burger Combo to-go, and I was not disappointed. It was your classic American cheese burger and fries. The burger and fries were freshly made, and the burger patty was of a good sized + a decent amount of fries. The lettuce and tomatoes in the burger were also fresh. I was very full after the meal. No complaint! It was also very cheap, and it only cost 5 bucks including tax for burger, fries, and a drink. Plus you don't have to drive across the hectic Beach Blvd to go to McDonald's or deal with their rude employees! I'd definitely come back here to try out their pita and hot dogs.

A guy walks into the doctor's office. A hot dog in one ear, a pretzel in the other. The man says, "Doc, this is terrible. What's wrong with me?" The doctor says, "Well, first of all, you need to eat more sensibly." This place is GREAT! I've been going for years, the burgers and hot dogs are top notch. The delis are pretty good too but the real star here are the hot dogs, polish sausage, and the fresh made burgers with all crispy fresh ingredients. They also have the best steak-in-a-sack in Jax. The food is always fresh, fast and a great value. OK, I know All American looks like a 70's survivor, but the next time you're out on Beach, do yourself a favor and don't drive past this treasure. Just west of 9A.

Best Steak in a sack in jacksonville, l have eaten at other place but this place if way way better, my girlfriend had the Camel Rider and it was Awesome, I really and truly fell in love with this place!!!!!! Loved it!!!

If you love the Sheik you will love All American Hotdogs. This place is hidden in plain sight off Beach blvd. A local gem. I'm all for supporting local eateries do this place has my vote. Why would I go to a big burger chain when I can get a great burger here with great service? This is a no frills type of place nothing fancy to look at. No modern fixtures and decor, no fancy pendant lights and subway tile backsplash. Just a few tables and chairs that show their wear and tear. The food and service are the focus here. The Food: The camel rider, steak in a sack and cheese burger are pretty good. Have I had better? Yes but the food here is worth having. The prices are great. The combos are an exceptional value. I go here when I have a lunch budget of roughly $10 usually the day after having Metro diner or something $16 for lunch. The cheeseburger with bacon is good. Fresh any flavorful. Bacon nice and crispy and the French fries hold their own without being overly greasy. The steak in a sack is a close second to the one at the Sheik on Atlantic blvd. I wish it was a tad bit spicier but that's me. I also suggest ordering it with cheese as melted cheese and steak is a perfect pairing. The service is noteworthy. The owners are informative, funny and you can tell they take pride in their brand. Overall a good place to grab a tasty, filling and economically pleasing lunch.

Super cheap and much better than McDonalds. Decent place if you want to save money and their fries are pretty good, too. I really liked their burger. The meat was fresh and tasty. But this time I ordered a turkey rider and it was OK. Maybe I was expecting a bit more in the way of seasoning, but being a low-priced place, it was good value for the money. I got food for my son and me, and it only cost $12 total.

Since starting work out on Beach Blvd, I've been trying to eat at different local spots that I know that I've missed due to not ever living on this side of town. I have been to All American Hot Dog & Sandwiches quite a few times. I love that they are exactly what you would expect upon pulling up to their building. It's a definite dive; there's no doubt about that. They are similar, in a way, to The Sheik or Famous Sandwiches and Subs. However, I like this place much better than either of those chains. Everyone that has served me has been super friendly - morning or lunch and drive thru or walk in. So far, I've only had burgers, fries, and BLTs. The fries are excellent and grease is almost non-existant. When the mood strikes, I will finally test out a hot dog, Camel Rider or Steak Pita. You know that crazy storm cell that came through the city a few weeks ago? That one with the tornado warnings for the entirety of Duval? I rode that tempest out with the wait staff and patrons here before heading back to work. Power went out, the wind came up, and it was scary for a few minutes since 3/4 of the building is covered in glass windows. The storm front went by quick, but the owners were ready to have us shelter in place in the restrooms or kitchen and were wholly hospitable. The price is easy on the wallet, the food is fresh off the grill, and the staff is customer service oriented. Way better than going to the nearby Burger King, McDonalds, or Arby's. This is definitely one of those diamonds in the rough, and you've got to swing by if you're looking for a bite on Beach Blvd.

Old Fashioned Hamburgers. Really Good Onion rings and fries. The Cherry Limeade is AWESOME!!!!!! Ok atmosphere. The restrooms needs to be upgraded. The owner (Older guy) he's not that friendly, but the son is friendlier.

Food is good most of the time, but it's hard to get a hot Hotdog there. They could really use a microwave to heat up the hotdogs before serving them to the customer. The hotdogs are cooked ahead of time like most fast food places and get cold before they serve them. Other than that the food has good flavor, but to me hot food is 50% of what makes good food.

Best burgers and fries in Jax. Really fresh food and inexpensive for what you get. It's really busy at lunch and the place has a loyal blue collar customer base. Family owned and super friendly. Decor is so bad, it's good. You are there for the food, not the ambience. It's what fast food should be.

This Morning I stop by my newest favorite lunch spot, but this morning I decided to have Breakfast. I order the breakfast Pita or as others call it the Breakfast in a sack. I order on called the All American, Steak egg cheese pita, I absolutely and Utterly loved every inch of this Sandwich. Piping Hot wonderfully seasoned, fresh sandwich, Delicious!!!!!!!!

A co-worker wanted to go here one day for lunch and I was reluctant. I wanted to go to Zaxby's or Pollo Tropical instead. We ended up going to Pollo. Ever since I had always passed by this place curious. I stopped in one day and was very impressed with the hot dogs... their burgers and fries are great also. I started telling some co-workers and we went for lunch a few times... lunch time is usually pretty busy. Their hot dogs are great... i love the coleslaw that is my favorite hotdog topper... they also have chili, onions, and other toppings. Their burgers are awesome... better than I expected... i expected a regular burger but the way they put the patty on top of the lettuce, tomoatos and onions and condiments made a surprising difference. not only that the burger was just great. I enjoy this place, when ever I'm in the mood for a good hotdog this is my place to go.

Keep driving! Stopped here because mom wanted to get a fish fillet from McDonalds but I said NO. There has to be something better. And to my left was this place. Moms know best. We should have just eaten at McDonalds. I wish I could have given ZERO stars!!!
