Moe's is Moe's. There a lot more places for burritos but this place is open late, it's yummy, and the queso is thick. Sometimes you just need a chain burrito!

"Salsa has that funk" I really like the burritos, but have abandoned this place due to the salsa. It is absolutely horrible - and always has been, I used to wonder if it had just gone bad - has a funk to it that Moe must love. I love fresh pico and all types of good salsa and hot sauces - lived in Texas for five years and also in various places in the Southwest.

Wow - I have never been so disappointed. It was 8:00 on a Wednesday night and they were already cleaning up and had nothing left - if they did it was not fresh. Not enthusiastic or helpful and there were at least 15 people that came in after me. No veggies left, no guac left and the stuff the pulled out & charged $1.19 for tasted horrible, they gave me old, cold, chewy chips & they didn't have any salsa left not were they willing to get it. Yuck. They pretty much just kicked everyone out that was trying to eat come closing time.

Food everywhere, unclean tables and just plain dirty. Staff appears to require some adult supervision. Neat Coke machine, though.

Average moes. If you have never been you will feel weird when they yell at you when you enter the building "WELCOME TO MOES." Nothing special here just an average tex mex place.

This is my family's Moe's. My 11-yr-old has loved Moe's since he could eat solid food, and he always chooses it when we let him pick our lunch spot. The management has always been on top of things here, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is fast food Mexican, so you shouldn't expect fine dining, but I feel like my kids eat much healthier food here than they would at other fast food options. You can't go wrong with a Homewrecker "all the way," but I like to switch it around: try the pork and rice bowl, or a steak quesadilla with onions, peppers and plenty of queso. The salsa bar is unremarkable, but they add new flavors periodically, and you shouldn't complain when something is free, people. Many restaurants charge you for chips and salsa. Here, they will even give you a bag of chips to take home with you if you ask! I always feel "welcome to Moe's!"

Wow, this place is terrible. I guess I am spoiled since I normally go to Chipotle, but I wasn't near southside and still had a hankering for some Texmex. I just got a simple burrito bowl, and disappointed doesn't even begin to explain how I felt. The chicken was ok but the rice was easily the blandest I've ever had and the cheese tasted like Kraft singles. There is so much better food at the beaches - hell La Nopalera is so cheap that even though it is table service it ends up cheaper than Moe's, and it doesn't taste like cardboard.

I rating this establishment by a Moe's level establishment. I walked into a clean and friendly group of employees. I found the whole burrito process good since all the bins were clean and not a big mess of ingredients everywhere. One guy cooking fresh chicken and another helping with a large catering order. Each one was nice and spoke back and forth with please and thank you's. The salsa bar was fresh and nicely stocked. My vegetarian burrito did not disappoint.

No hot salsa on the bar. The place was clean and the people are friendly. The food just needs a little something. Whoever started that rice n beans on a burrito needs to be run out of town. I know it's a filler thing but I don't want it. They looked at me like I had 3 heads when I said no to the rice n bean on my rito. I want meat and maybe some lettuce, tomato, onions, and maybe some sour cream. That's it, no fillers and when you take out the rice n beans you will have a pretty pitiful burrito. I can see why there Moe's everywhere. I imagine the profit margin is pretty up there.

Where do I start? Maybe it's a beach thing. The place was dirty and it had to be the smallest portion sizes I have ever had at a Moes. Salsa bar was dirty and no hot salsa and a spoonful of guacamole was $1.20 extra. There is so much potential for this location with the big patio but being run crappy. Must be why it was dead in here, I should have consulted yelp first. Oh well, I won't be back to this location again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
