Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

The cárnitas burrito is delicious. We also tried their homemade salsa verde, chips and guacamole and we were pretty impressed. The staff is very friendly as well and can't complain about their food portion.

This place is a Burrito goldmine with exceptionally affordable prices and great selection! Doesn't get much better for the value!!

It's great to have this little place so close to my house. I often forget it's there though because it is so small and not a place you would usually stay to eat. Getting to-go from here and taking it to the beach or back to your house is ideal. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Their guacamole is also really good, along with several of their menu items that I have tried. They don't have the same menu as the downtown location, or the same hours, but in my opinion they have everything I need. I usually get the teriyaki tofu burrito, veggie burrito or quesadillas. Last time I ordered, I got the veggie quesadilla and asked them to add black beans. When I went to pick up my order, the chef complimented me on the idea of adding black beans to their veggie quesadilla and said he was going to make that a lunch special later in the day. That made me feel good because being vegetarian, I often feel like I am having to modify menu items and it's nice to know someone appreciated it rather than felt annoyed. I'll definitely be frequenting this place more now that I am only a few blocks away.

So I've never eaten at the OG BG downtown, but I do enjoy this location, what I assume is the little brother. BGE is my go to spot while my clothes dry next door at the lint trap. My favorite thing I've tried here is the curry chicken burrito. It's not an extremely spicy curry, mostly turmeric based from what I've been told. It's a very unique flavor to be intermingled with tradition burrito toppings. BGE nails it here. The tacos are all pretty tasty as well, though I've only had the shrimp variety. If you don't have time to kill I would advise calling in your order. It's a small operation with maybe 3 people working at any given time. I've waited 15 minutes for my food some times. Other times it only takes 5 minutes. It's also worth noting that there's only like 3 tables in here and some bar seating. Getting it to go might be the best bet.

Nice little location a couple blocks from the beach. I have been to the downtown location. Same menu, just different location. This location is smaller but still delivers the same great food. Went in for a late lunch and it was pretty empty. Ordered the medium size grilled chicken burrito. I can't believe it was only a medium. I would hate to see what the grande looks like. The burrito was very good, lots a flavor from the chicken. You can tell the chicken was seasoned well. Rice was good consistency. I applaud the cooks for trying to wrap a burrito with so much stuff in it. I definitely will return anytime I need to get my mexican food fix!!! Burrito Gallery, keep up the great work!!!

I have been here several times due to the close proximity to my home. I love these guys! They are very laid back and the food is great. It's kind of a hipster hang out but it has a beachy feel to the place and the burritos are HUGE! Good bang for your buck and definitely better than chipotle!
(5)Kevin L.
This is my go-to spot for a quick Burrito. I love supporting a local small business (which I believe is given it's a subsidiary of Burrito Gallery downtown), so I'm all about this vs. Chipotle. The food is very quality, their prices are reasonable, and the portions are above average. I have had the steak, chicken, and shrimp burritos and was impressed by all three. Especially the Shrimp. I was a little sketched out by getting seafood from a "hole-in-the-wall" Mexican spot, but it was fresh and the Shrimp were nice and fat. I will continue to go here at least once/week as long as I live in JAX Beach and hope to get a chance to eat at Burrito Gallery downtown at some point soon. Keep up the good work boys! Oh, also...please continue to stock up on that Mango hot sauce. Thank you.

Don't get be wrong, this place is not bad at all. That being said, this is an average burrito. The portion size is very fair (considering the price) but there is far too much rice/beans compared to the amount of meat. The tacos are okay, but again, not anything special. Ambiance is cool, but inside is very small.

Great place for very well prepared tacos etc near the beach. Entrees made fresh to order, so you have to wait a few minutes, but it's worth it! We were given extra guacamole for our wait, which was excellent, as was the salsa. The atmosphere is a little hippie (it's attached to a laundromat) - if that bothers you get carry-out.

Pleasantly surprised! I found this as a recommendation from Yelp and luckily someone had posted a photo of the exterior or I never would have found it. The teal color and taco painting saved the day! Lol Honestly, if it didn't have 4 stars on yelp and some amazing photos I would have kept driving. Sooo glad I stopped. I had the Cajun shrimp taco and a Cajun fish taco for about $6. Amazing! Talk about gourmet tacos in a little tiny place. There are literally three tables and a small bar for seating but the food was amazing!
