I know I'm going to get some Eastern North Carolinian's up in arms over what I'm about to say but... THIS is what barbecue should be. One of the few things I miss about living in N FL is Bono's. That longing is why I took to smoking my own butts and such up here a few years ago. Have you folks out East ever heard of a good rub and bark ffs? Bono's... Keep up the good work. :)

Eh! My lunch was so so. The wings where over cooked. So was my smoked sausage. Next time I'll pass on Bonos. Really the only bright spot was my server. Ok the original sauce was good.

My lover and I decided to have lunch there and the food was very dry and unseasoned . I ordered bbq fries and the fries where to big and the cheese was cheap and cold. Along with the huge pieces of beef THROWN on top . No seasoning , no Sauce just dry meet and frozen fries. My lovers meal was horrible aswell everything tastes burned the bread was soggy . The only thing good from that meal was the bean and lemonade. Never again.

Service was five star. Super family friendly. The corn on the cob and ranch dressing were amazing. Best ever had. But we went for the ribs. They were dry as jerky and tasted like sausage. Bummer!!!

Was looking for something simple and quick. Spotted Bono's and decided to give it a shot. Counter service was friendly and helpful. Suggested the smoked turkey special. Being on a health kick, I jumped at it. Had green beans and a sweet potato (hold the butter!). Very little smoke taste on the turkey but it was moist and tasty. I appreciated the fact that I could get a couple of sides that weren't fried. The garlic toast was a little soggy. But, I ate it anyway since I haven't allowed myself any bread in a week! I will be going back, for sure.

I have had good BBQ during my travels to Florida but this place def was not even close to OK. Brisket: just the thinnest of thin smoke rings. Tons of fat. Tasted and looked as if it had been sitting around for awhile. It wasn't quite dry but not very moist either. Ribs: better smoke ring and ok flavor. Membrane was left on and not cooked the proper way to ensure that it is tender. Instead you get a hard crisp layer that snaps when you bite through the rib meat. Sides: Fries were just frozen everyday fries. Mac n cheese was decent and creamy.

This Bono's happens to be within walking distance of my office and therefore, very convenient when your kinda hungry but not really sure what you want and therefore not very interested in venturing out to far from your current location. Plus, what southerner doesn't like BBQ, even if it is a chain restaurant? So yesterday was one of the aforementioned days where lunch time came and nothing in particular was shouting out to me. I walked in and headed to my usual seat up at the counter (not that I have my "own seat" her but more that I never sit at an actual table, especially when I'm alone) and proceeded to peruse the menu even though I always order the same thing....pulled pork. This time I got the small pp platter with fries and there special side of the day, potato salad. My meal was ready with in minutes. I love that you can watch the guys pull the meat out of he smoker as soon as you place your order and start slicing away. I saw my fries go in to the fryer and as soon as they were done my potato salad was added to the plate and I my lunch was served. I think this was my first time ever getting the potato salad here and I thought it was pretty good. I would order it again, which isn't always the case for those kind of sides. The pork was just as good as it always is. The fries were well fries so no complaints there. I ate my meal enjoyed watching the news and when finished said my goodbyes. But not for long because I know I'll always come back to Bono's BBQ again.

Very very delicious! Nice family restaurant! I had the small chicken platter with cole slaw and Mac and cheese and a side order of fried okra (first time!!) first of all, all of the sauces are fantastic, try them all! The Mac and cheese was perfection. The cole slaw could definitely use some work. The okra was also delicious, I don't have anything to compare it off of but I do have a craving for more! I will be back! Thank goodness I live and work next to two great locations.

This restaurant is under new management!!! YAY!!!!! There is no longer a need to cross the intercoastal to go to another establishment. This restaurant has made huge improvements in their service, food quality, and value. They had every item they advertised for in their menu, their service was fast and friendly, and finally, there is a place that I can walk to from the beach after a long day for a great meal. If you want BBQ at the beach, there's no other place in my book.
