This place has amazing food! I have been coming here since it opened.. I now live in New York and every time I'm in town I make a point to stop here and get the veal parmesan. I also love the way they make their pasta fagioli soup it's nice and creamy.

I might have been stingy with my stars partially because I normally don't seek out Italian restaurants. It seems to me that pasta dishes are so easy to make at home, so why go out for them. That said, Enrico's has some more complicated dishes that I would be less likely to make at home. From my experience, it seemed like good, authentic Italian cuisine. They started us off with a head of roasted garlic/olive oil and some really great bread: crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. My daughter had the egg plant parmesan which was excellent. I had the pasta topped with various shellfish. It was also very good. The highlight for me was the ice cream dessert. The place doesn't look like much from the outside. Don't blink or you might drive past it! The inside has gitchy, fun, interesting Italian decor. Our waiter, Lee, was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place for those of you who love Italian food.

Less than 1 star! Terrible food. Worse service. We waited over an hour for a glass of water and our Salad. Dinner took almost 4 hours. Wait of everything. Don't eat here.

After reading the many positive reviews for Enricos, I guess my expectations were a little too high. It did start off ok. The bottle of wine was reasonably priced and was very good. The roasted garlic head and bread was also very promising. The small salad was fresh and came with a homemade Italian dressing that had a tad too much sugar in it. The pasta fagoli was very creamy and tasty and didn't have meat in it, like at other Italian restaurants. I was looking forward to the entree of pasta and seafood that I had requested to be spicy. This is where it went downhill. The seafood was cooked fine, but what ruined the entire dish was the sauce. It was heaavvvyy and not spicy at all. This kind of dish needs a lighter sauce, which is how most restaurants serve it. This sauce tasted like grandma had been cooking it all day, in her big ole pot, and then forgot about it and it got a bit overcooked. It was horrible, but it was not top notch. It wouldn't hurt to call that show, Restaurant Impossible. Enricos could be so much better, with a little help.

If you want authentic, mom & pop style for Italian, then this is your place. Food is great! It may take a little while to get your food, but that is because it is made fresh. Entrees come with soup and salad, which is a great deal.

Not just the best Italian in Inverness ...the best Italian I've ever had anywhere. Homemade everything including the pasta. Don't let the exterior fool you. The food and service were amazing (thanks Audra)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
