Stopped there for ice-cream, wasn't impressed. Ice-cream was okay but the service wasn't very warm.

We stopped by this place on a complete whim. The parking lot was mostly empty but the OPEN sign was lit up. Good enough for us! This is a complete Mom & Pop place that serves meals on fun plates you'd find in your own home. There's even a wall towards the back dedicated to their Colombian roots complete with family photos. A very friendly woman working behind the counter took orders and also prepared them. The menu boasts a simple array of quick bites to satisfy your hunger after spending the day at the beach. Not to mention the many choices of ice cream. I had the chicken salad sandwich on wheat, dressed with lettuce and tomato. It was really good and I especially loved that the sandwich was pressed so it had a nice crispy crunch with every bite. And of course you can't end a meal here without having ice cream! I went the simple route with a scoop of chocolate chip on a cake cone! Yum! While we were dining here, so many folks stopped in to greet the employee /owner and seemed to know her by name. So I'm guessing this place has been here awhile and is well known by the locals and those who vacation in the area on a regular basis. I was lovin' the local love! In a nutshell, if you're on a shoestring budget, come here...or at least for the ice cream!!

Limited review - ice cream only. New owner has extensively remodelled the interior, including replacing the the old horribly dirty booths and floor. Now it's bright, modern, and clean. New brand of ice cream as well. Florida's own Working Cow "homemade gourmet" ice cream. Don't know about "gourmet" but it's really great ice cream. Try the salted carmel praline. Frozen yogurt too. Owner super friendly. Also has a large selection of sandwiches - the crab empanada sounds interesting. Owner should probably change the name, since the old Bay 1 was a dump.

Loved it so much we went twice. The owners were super friendly. There's enough flavors to give you options, but not so many to overwhelm. Fair prices and generous portions. Thought it was strange they also serve sandwiches and empanadas. But, hey, whatever! We stopped in to a few other ice cream places on this vacation and this was our favorite, in the area.

First and foremost, NEW OWNERS! The place has been completely remodeled and fixed up bright, clean and cheerfull and is now run by an awesomely friendly family. They now sell Working Cow ice cream which is delicious and have a completely new and expanded menu. For starters there are now more sandwiches and salads, hot dogs and a nice selection of Cuban dishes including beans and rice also. It's just across the street from the beach its perfect for a snack or sunset after ice cream. Check out and support this new business and great little treat on the beach!

I am sure the ice cream is fine but skip the sandwiches. Small and pricey. She had the cuban... Give it a grade of "B" . I asked for a ruben at $7,25, but subbed turkey, Grade C- . It was not good. Didn't come on the right bread and ya know, just no for lunch.
