An excellent surprise! Although this restaurant is situated in an older strip mall it was well worth the drive down from Cocoa Beach. The interior is "old school" with pillars and hand painted walls and feels very cozy. You could almost imagine you are in a small cafe in Italy. The food was excellent and the pace was not the usual "hurry up" pace. Pricing was average for the beach side. Mid 20's for meals but well worth it. Good portions and excellent service. We will go back again for sure.

Amazing dinner! Wow, I am extremely impressed. Amazing hot bread with oil based dipping sauce and entree was wonderful. I had the pesto fettuccini and my boyfriend had chicken parm, both amazing. Friendly staff and quaint quiet place to have a meal at. Portions are perfect and food is wonderful. Will be returning soon!

This restaurant is quite literally the BEST Italian food in Brevard County. Coming in on a Sunday night, we did not find much crowd at the restaurant. The servers were courteous and well-dressed, as well as very caring about us as customers. The decor of the restaurant-inside- is to die for-- Painted with statues and fountains, it really makes you believe you are eating in a legitimate Italian restaurant, which you are, as the owner is actually from Italy! Honestly I loved the entrees much more than I liked the appetizers. The warm bread and oil they serve though just leaves you wanting more. The menu does span well for vegetarians, but not so much for vegans. The food does take a while to come, but it is WELL worth it. The Tortellini Nonna, vegetarianised, is fantastic. The Gnocchi has the wonderful flavor of the cheese and both are well complimented by the other. For the amount of food served, and how good it is, the food deems pricey. My only complaint would be that the women's restroom is like a maze. You have to go thorough three doors to get to the restroom, and the stall door lock is broken. Get that fixed, and you'll literally be the most flawless Italian restaurant I've ever been to. Well done.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for years and the owners are truly wonderful. They cook up and serve delicious Italian fare here, two of my favorites are the linguine with pesto (just creamy enough) and the tortellini with pancetta and peas. Their cannolis are delicious for dessert too! The staff is very friendly and wait staff is attentive. When they're packed things can be a little slow and frustrating but the food is worth the wait. They can get crowded on the weekend sometimes so I recommend making a reservation. Overall, we keep coming back and whenever I'm in the area I love to visit.

I went here today on a date and had a great time. Our server was very attentive; possibly TOO attentive but I appreciated her doing a good job. The oil based dipping sauce for the fresh hot bread was a great opening. I would say that the bread was slightly tough and a little hard to chew, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The Riesling they have is not very dry. So if you're not a wine person like me and still feel compelled to have wine, the Riesling will not disappoint. I ordered the Chicken Francese and my date ordered the Shrimp Micheal. In all honesty my food looked more appetizing than his. I asked for linguine with pesto as my side instead of the regular penne that they serve and it was TO DIE FOR. The pesto was incredibly fresh and the linguine was generously coated in it. The chicken Francese came with a generous amount of lemon butter sauce - nicely made albeit could have used a little more seasoning. Dessert was free and I enjoyed the Tiramisu a lot. My date wiped his salted caramel cheesecake clean. Great night!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Villa Palma last week. "I love the relaxed feel of this place - dark, small and cozy - like a comfortable living room. I definitely would return to try more dishes. I had the Veal Pizzaiola it was so tender you could cut it with fork. The pasta was done to perfection and the sauce was the best I had in Florida. My wife had the Ravioli and she was very pleased. We plan on having dinner in the the near future with my daughter and new son in law. Having lived in Florida for the past five years this is the first Italian restaurant I truly enjoyed. Bob and Marilyn Indialantic,Fl

I was in Melbourne for business and wanted to get something other than run of the mill room service. I drove up A1A and stopped at a Mexican place but it looked sketchy from the outside. I checked Yelp nearby and came across Villa Palma. It is in a strip mall and the decor is a bit outdated/tacky but the food was delicious and the prices were fair. Also my meal was delivered piping hot to my table!

Have eaten here numerous times and have never regretted it. Their food is delicious and your order is made after you order. This means there is a bit of a wait, but well worth it. I'm from NY and this is the only Italian restaurant that has impressed me in this area. The wait staff are prompt and courteous too! All in all, a great place!

Great food. Doesn't look like much from the outside (it's in a strip mall). Delicious! Nice staff. Call for reservations, the place is small--and busy!

Still my favorite Italian restaurant in Brevard County! We started with the calamari appetizer served with the spicy fra diavolo sauce. So fresh. So tender. You can tell it was never frozen! I had the caesar salad with homemade dressing which is excellent. The fresh italian bread also delicious. For dinner I had the Villa Palma platter. It is basically a sampler platter of everything: eggplant rolatini, roasted red peppers, fried calamari, sautéed shrimp, mussels, and grilled eggplant with mozzarella cheese. Everything was fresh, made from scratch and delicious. My boyfriend had the Filet Pizzaiola: Filet pan seared and sautéed in a marinara sauce with mushrooms, roasted red peppers, and basil. He said it was perfect. Service as always is professional and friendly. We just love this place!

We waited for over an hour. Spent over $20 for a pasta dish. OK no problem. If handmade little pieces of perfection it would be worth every cent. What we got a cup full of bland, overcooked pasta with a handful of overcooked shrimp that any hope of goodness cooked out of them. Run. Keep running and do not look back.

As my companion and I sat in this restaurant, we were disappointed. Disappointed it was dinner time on a Friday night and hardly anyone was in the restaurant with us! Villa Palma has the best food in the area. I had the Chicken Parmigiana which was fantastic. It was large portion, served with undoubtedly fresh penne pasta. It was the best Chicken Parm I've ever gotten in a restaurant. She got the gnocchi with Gorgonzola cheese sauce which she loved. She said it was the best she had ever had, including the gnocchi she had in New York. I tried it myself and found it simply perfect. We decided to try a dessert, because we just had to know if they are on par with the entrees. We got cannoli and they were delicious. The cream was amazing. We were left at a loss for words after our experience here. In addition to the incredible food, the atmosphere is great. Dim lighting, great decor, comfortable seats, and great service. Considering the prices were only a bit more expensive than a trip to Olive Garden, the extra two (or so) dollars you spend per plate here is worth it. Don't let the outside fool you, this place has food you won't find anywhere else in the area.

Looking at the reviews, I thought I was in for a great experience. 6 of us went out for the "best" Italian in Melborne. Did you know that Florida is a long way from "Bella Italia"? So far away that spaghettini becomes linguini? Or that canned Delmonte tomatoes become a fine "marinara" sauce? I had Veal Picatta. The lemon sauce tasted like quick lemon pudding that had been watered down. My friend had Gnocci but it was also not so good. We left more than half on our plates. Imagine my surprise when the $$ on Yelp turned out to be $$$$ for less than stellar, in fact less than "tripe". I would avoid this place like the plague. If not, you may get it. For the amount of the bill, this is the most expensive and worst places I have ever been to. I was less than happy! I would rates this minus 5 if I could. After the food, I do not want to "disgust" the service.

Our favorite Italian Restaurant when in the Space Coast area. Love the fact they still give you a salad with an entree. Great veal dishes. Service was great. The location is questionable in a strip center but don't be fooled the food is the real deal. They could have given larger serving of pasta as the side dish. Broccoli in oil and garlic never disappoints! I'll be back.

Amazingly delectable in it's simplicity.... So many restaurants over-do their dishes with heavy sauces and/or seasonings, which doesn't allow the true flavor of an excellently crafted meal to shine through. This was not the case last night! I am not a huge fan of most Italian restaurants, as they tend to be overly bland with their bagged salad and sloppy Italian glop that passes as dressing, or over the top, with so much breading and cheese, you often wonder "Where's the beef"? We kept it simple at Villa Parma- I ordered the Veal Francese. It came with a house salad and a choice of pasta. I eschewed the pasta for fresh sautéed spinach with roasted garlic, and as not disappointed. This was fresh, green spinach, not too wilty, and the garlic (for a change) was not overpowering. My veal consisted of three choice medallions of meat, delicately sitting in a BEAUTIFUL blend of lemon butter sauce, all lightly browned, crispy edges, succulent, fork tender, and perfect temperature throughout. In other news, the service was friendly, fun, and our waitress, Berniece, was on top of her game. I never had to ask for anything, she was the epitome of professional, yet you could tell she had every intention of making our evening fun and she made us feel like family. They have a very good selection of reasonably priced wines, try the Pinot Grigio. I received a proper glass, filled correctly, with wine at the correct temperature. Most of these "family" Italian places give you those little dinky glasses with about 3 ounces, and then want to charge you $7.99. Not here! Yay! Oh, and to the person who wrote the review about the Ladies room being like having to "go through a maze"' I disagree. I got up, went to the back, turned right, went through another door, and there it was. Complete with door lock, lol So, in summary, let's just say this is a lovely high-end Italian restaurant, with Old World charm, reasonable prices, friendly and fun staff, and good wine. Can't wait to go back. (:

Very very good! The veal was excellent and the Cioppino was the best I've ever had -- I elected to have it in a white wine sauce. Full of shellfish and fish, it was done to perfection and I swear, Villa Palma has ruined me for other cioppino restaurants. The veal was melt in your mouth delicious and adding on the aglio olio was a great decision--this dish was wonderful with fully cooked garlic, not bitter and perfect pasta. Even the house red was smooth and lovely. The service was attentive without being overbearing -- definitely this is our go-to italian in the Indialantic area.

Marinara is terrible! Canned tomatoes put on pasta! Veal parm is like breaded toilet paper. So thin it's like eating breading! Not good Italian food! Sorry!!!!

Very nice decorations and packed on a Thurs night. Salad was over dressed but otherwise good and the ravioli with vodka sauce was very good as was the shrimp and sun-dried tomatoes over angel hair pasta.

  • Mark M.

As other reviewers mention, don't judge the book by its cover. It's in an old strip mall and always looks closed but it opens at 5 every day of the week. You might fight Longdogger's for parking spots but it's worth it. GREAT food that is equalled by the wait staff. This isn't pizza joint Italian food, it's the real deal. You'll pay more but it's also not the most expensive Italian fine dining on beachside but it's the best. Much less pretentious than the other Italian fine dining restaurant in the area and better food, too. Just go.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
