This is the place for Mediterranean food. There is a wide variety and it is all delicious. Be sure to try the Eggplant Caprese appetizer and don't miss the jasmine rice. Don't avoid this place for lunch- having Gyros here today will be cheaper than if we had gotten them at the mall!

Skewers was very delicious! As a Turkish woman I really liked their Mediterranean food. It came pretty close to the real deal. The hummus was amazing. My boyfriend and I had the butterfly combo and the Mediterranean shrimp. Both recommended by Joey and they were delicious. He was a great server, very quick with his order and friendly. Will recommend to friends.

Went straight for the Chef's specials of course. The wahoo was perfect. Seasoned right and cooked perfect. The orzo had more dairy in it than I was personally ready for but that's totally a personal thing as the flavor was right on w the best artichokes I've ever had. Calamari app was great. The accompanying yogurt sauce perfectly tangy. House salad was clean and bright and simple. Red lentil soup full of flavor as well. No complaints. The staff was expert: minimal conversation and we were never with an empty glass and never had an empty dish longer than needed. Great job tonight. Will absolutely be back when in the area.

I've been here a few times and always had great food and great service! Best Mediterranean food in the area. The interior could stand to be refreshed a bit- last time I was here the table or floor was slanted and things would slide on the table. But everything else keeps me wanting to come back!

well, maybe chef had an off night......Just seemed to be another disappointing meal in the Coast area. Went here for our evening meal. Thought it would be a nicer place. The requested Rare Lamb was WAY overcooked. A large amount of the special rice that is part of most any dish order (?) had little flavor. The julienne vegetables we also far overcooked and again plopped next to the large amount of flavorless rice. I love the Mediterranean spices and disappointing We also had the filet which was ok, but again, experienced much better Mediterranean. Same flavorless rice and same vegies too. (Really?) The presentation was really poor for both platings. No imagination.....and certainly did not add to the appeal of the meal. The house salad was simple but the best of the night. Simple romaine with tomatoes, onion and simple olive oil, lemon composition and very refreshing. The wait staff was very nice young lady, but a tad slow on refilling the ice teas.

Good wasn't bad, but the place had a weird smell. Maybe because it's in an older building? Cleaning products? I almost left right after walking in because of it. But because there were other people there I decided to give it a try. Had stuffed grape leaves that weren't bad.

We'd just arrived in Melbourne Beach and were looking for a great place to eat. We found it at Skewers Mediterranean Grill. I ordered the sesame chicken skewers with a Greek salad. It was excellent! One of the best skewered Greek meals I have ever had!

We come here every summer & love it. I recommend coming on a Friday or Saturday evening when a belly dancer performs, at 7, 8 or 9:00 pm. Our daughter loves it & they are so friendly that they invite her to dance with them. We have had great luck ordering the daily hummus special (we recall jalepeno & tarragon as favorites) and always the Mama Ghanouj (smokey flavor). We also order a veggie plate for dipping (Extra charge) that is not on the menu but a gluten free fix to enjoy all of the dips. We love the Yogurt Kafta & the Kibbeh meals & get them every time. This is a family owned restaurant and it shows. We rarely have room for dessert but the coconut cake is worth it.

Fantastic! Both my partner and I and our couple friends loved the food here. It was a Saturday night (last night). We had no reservation (hmmmm) and they were indeed busy, but they were very nice about trying to accommodate us. It was drizzly outside (spurts off and on) and they offered to try seating us there, but I have a bum foot right now and am on crutches so that would be too challenging to have to go inside if it started raining. 10 min. later they said they could seat us inside. Excellent staff (from hostess/waitress/servers). Very nice ambiance to boot. The belly dance show was a nice touch as well. Not too long and one dance between two rooms with a nice interval (30 min. or so) so that we weren't overwhelmed by the music coming from the speakers which makes it too hard to talk when the music is playing. My appetite was small and I most often don't have room for dessert so I chose an appetizer so I could try one of their homemade desserts. I ordered the mahi-mahi dip w/ pita chips and small sample of veggies (beets tonight). So good! Nice moist fish dip (not soupy like some can be) w/ really nice seasonings in it making it a little spicy but not too much (I can't handle spicy well). Served w/ both soft pita wedges and baked pita crisps (both were house made I could tell). My partner had the Kafta kabob. The meat was amazingly good he said (I had a bite and I agree), the rice was soft and fluffy and the veggies were cooked to perfection. He told me this was one of the best Mediterranean meals he has had in a very long time. My one friend had the steak for dinner and didn't complain about it (it is hard to tell w/ some people if they are into good food or not). and my other friend had the vegetarian combination which she really enjoyed a lot. The dessert I picked was a slice of hazelnut chocolate cake. It was really light and moist and had 4 dollops of whipped cream shapes on the plate on both sides and not too sweet but more rich chocolate flavor w/ slight nutty flavor. The meals were comparable with the prices. Very fair. What a find. I used to live in Melbourne and can't believe I never visited this place before now (that I live on the west coast of the USA). From the looks of things and the experience we had, this place will still be here when we return..

As a native Detroiter, I have the luxury of great Mediterranean food on every corner. I like to eat rather healthy most of the time, so it's my go-to cuisine. That said, I'm usually disappointed by the Mediterranean food that I have in cities that don't have a large Greek or Lebanese population. This place however, is awesome!!! Better than many I've had at home. The food was fresh, veggies crisp, dressings seasoned and flavorful, and the meats were high quality as well. I highly recommend for flavorful, healthy eats!

Overall, food and service is "good" but a few important improvements would make it great. First, the pita bread! C'mon...it's obviously from a package, served cold and dry. It's bordering on being stale. Brings down the baba and hummus, which is really good and deserves good Mediterranean pita to accompany it. At our usual place in Orlando, the bread is made fresh in the brick oven and there is no comparison here. Secondly, the bathrooms are located right at the entrance and give off pretty pungent odor upon entering. We didn't smell it in the dining room at all though. Lastly, the lamb chops are NOT New Zealand lamb...no way. They are extremely fatty and pretty tasteless. Clearly not New Zealand. If you are going to serve them, do it right.

Starting with the great service and appetizers and a magician, the evening was wonderful. We had fat people, tall people, meat eaters, and vegan gluten-freebies and everyone walked away happy and FULL. Can be affordable, can be slightly more expensive, just depends on what you order, but 100% worth it. I literally wanted to drop my face and lick the plate. Stupendously great and wonderful. Will return. Great for low key keep it reasonable evening and even better for special event. GO. Even if you're afraid and "mediterranean," drop the Ritz cracker and ask them what to order. GO!

Loved it. Had some wonderful veggies. A couple of beers and an UNBELIEVABLY good desert. Wonderful server. I really enjoyed it. Maybe a smidge pricey, but honestly, most Mediterranean places are on this price level.

Skewers has been around for awhile, over 20 years according to their website. You may notice a couple of vehicles in the parking lot with "Skewrs" and "Skwers" tags. That's REAL pride and cheap advertising. They're located about 1/4 mile off the beach and have 5 separate dining areas, including 2 outdoor. The seating in the back parking lot doesn't provide a great view. The "good view" tables along Melbourne Bch Blvd are limited, so if you prefer outdoor seating, call ahead. I visisted on a date night a couple of weeks ago and felt that it was all just OK. My wife and I split the Butterfly & Vegetable Combos. At $19 & $17 a piece, it wasn't exactly cheap. Food was OK, but has anyone ever had bad Mediterranean food? Oh shoot, wait, the dessert....it was terrible. I wish I could recall the name, it was suggested by our server, who I had no issues with until this point. How does this sound? Melted cheese soaked in high fructose corn syrup with lemon flavoring and triscuit crackers on top. I know that's not correct but this thing was gross! Our server was so excited about it, and I didn't have the heart to tell him that it was nasty.

Food was good. I ordered the hummus and it was very creamy and flavorful. The side salad that came with my meal was very good, but a typical Greek salad. I ordered the Kafta kabob...and I have to say it was a really good flavor, but the presentation was awful. WIthout saying too much, the waitress took the dark brown meat off the skewers and placed two log-like meat sticks on a bed of rice. After I stopped laughing at the sight, I tried it and it tasted much better than how it looked.

I really enjoy Skewers. The atmosphere is beautiful and it's definitely a high quality restaurant in a prime location. The food and the service is top quality. I love their rice, among all things! The wait staff is very polite and professional. I have been about a total of 5 times (all for dinner) and being that it's a really nice place, I would recommend dressing up a bit. Nothing too over the top, but nice casual at the very least. Skewers is one of Brevard county's gems.

Went for dinner a bit early on a weekday evening. Not crowded at all. The servers were all quite young but attentive and apparently well trained. We are big fans of mediterranean food. The salads were good and just what you'd expect. Our entrees (one of which was a salad) were really good. The fish wrap was excellent. Fresh, grilled very tasty. Also tried the falafel which was very good. We did order off the lighter fare section of the menu and portion size was ample and just enough while being a good value.

I must have come here on an off night when I dined here a couple of weeks ago. I had ordered the Lamb Shish Kabob as recommended by my fellow Yelpers, but the lamb came out very bland and dry. The rice and veggies were also very bland and lacked flavor. I was a little surprised my Lamb Shish Kabob was cooked on a metal skewer, as we were asked how we wanted our kabobs to be cooked and I had requested medium. How you do that on a metal skewer as opposed to a wooden one, I don't know. At $21, the Lamb Shish Kabob was overpriced, even if it were good. In summary, I am very disappointed in my dinner at Skewer's, as I had been wanting to try this place for over a year, and I am confident in saying that I could have easily cooked a better lamb kabob than the one I had eaten here. The food gets one star, but the service was good, so I'm bumping the rating up to two stars. I don't think I would return unless it was on a Saturday night to catch the belly dancer. Maybe that is what all the fuss is about.

We visited Skewers for the first time- and it was a great experience. The food is delicious and the service was great! They were attentive, but didn't hover around the table. We enjoyed the beef tenderloin skewers the most, but also enjoyed the pomegranate shrimp, and the chicken. The jasmine rice me seasoned vegetables were good enough to stand alone! We would absolulty recommend Skewers to anyone looking for a delicious meal!!

Went here for lunch today with family. I have to admit I am not a fan of this type of cuisine...I do enjoy the hummus that my husband makes...theirs was ok but I do like a lot more garlic and a bit more thick. I ordered the Kafta and did not enjoy it very much...I was not asked to what degree I would like it (rare, med. etc) and it was very, very well done. I have no idea how it is supposed to be so unsure if it just wasn't very good or if it's just not my cup of tea. Speaking of tea, the iced tea was great. :) My meal came with a salad that was ok but thought from the description it would be field greens...it wasn't...and the jasmine rice...well...I prefer Basmati. Ok, all that said, the one person who was with us and has actually had this cuisine in the countries where it is native, loved her meal. She had the special of a blackened fish (Mahi) gyro and said it was really very good and very authentic and her one negative comment was that the fish was a bit too salty. I am sticking with the 4 stars as I was with family and that made it a terrific time plus my husband loved his lamb kabob plus the service was stellar.

Excellent food and service. Knew nothing about Skewers until we found it via Yelp. Had the Loaded Humas as an appetizer and the Butterfly Skewers and the mixed grill on the recommendation of Carmen, our server. Wonderful choice. More than enough and well worth the price. Brought home leftovers as well Had the Banana Coconut Cream cake for dessert. Will definitely be returning to try something else.

Skewers has only have one veggie entree at dinner. I would have liked to have falafel which is only available at lunch or as an appetizer. My meat loving friends enjoyed the three meats on a skewer special, but thought it was a little pricey.
(3)
Kristen M.
If not for the service, I'd give it 5 starts. My husband and I go to Skewer's whenever we are visiting the area and it is one of our favorites.... BUT this place has the slowest service ever. When on vacation I definitely enjoy a nice meal that isn't rushed, but this is much too slow. The servers are generally inattentive and the meals take forever to prepare. That said, the food is so amazing that we keep going back regardless. FYI - the sesame chicken kabob is fantastic as is the red snapper. We usually order the hummus app too.

I like skewers a lot. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the service can be slow at times and the dinner is a bit pricey. The food is really good though and worth the wait. I'm not a big fan of cake, but their banana coconut cake is AMAZING. And if you're a fan of hummus you have to try their loaded hummus.

Skewers was called Lebanese Gourmet back when Eddie's parents were running it and his sister Carla manned the little take out window they had on the side. I lived on their gyros and falafal sandwiches. That was over 20 years ago. It was arguable the very best restaurant in the area back then and certainly one of the best now. Eddie has done a great job honoring every bit of the cooking talent of his parents. There is love in this place that only generations of a family can create. It feels good, and the food is wonderful. Vegetarian or meat grape leaves with that great tzaziki sauce of his mom's. Perfect humus. Even the rice is unusually wonderful with the hint of lemon. The big dinner platters with skewers of seared meats on beds of grilled onions and humus are just about my favorite meal of all time. It's entirely true about the iced tea. Small thing, but it absolutely hits the spot like few other do. And to top it all off, they have belly dancers some nights, which makes the meal and event. Have fun and eat well.

I've been here several times, as I live in the area. The food is good, but not great. I've eaten at SO many different (out of the area) and better lebanese restaurants that this one is kinda hard for me to deal with. One thing that annoys me is the pita bread - it obviously comes out of a package from a food distributor, it sliced and served cold. Fact is, it's just plain boring and no good - I had forgotten about this when I order baba ganoush last night, and I didn't really even want to eat the baba. I ordered the mixed grill for $23 - it's three skewers - one chicken, one shrimp, and one sirloin, with some grilled veggies. The chicken was the best, probably because of the sauce, the veggies 2nd (great), sirloin next (good), and shrimp didn't taste very good to me at all. I sampled my girlfriend's kafta skewer, and besides being very dry, it didn't have much flavor. To top it off, it looks like a giant turd. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and other staff are friendly. My recommendation - if you're used to eating really good Med. food and are from the big city, skip this place. If you're new to Med. food, give it a try. The ambiance and atmosphere are nice - you can sit outside or inside.

This is a family run restaurant. The atmosphere here is casual and informal. The conversation level can be a bit loud indoors due to all the glass and tile floors. They have outside seating that faces 5th Ave, but I have never been sat there. There is also a fairly secluded outdoor seating area near the parking lot, but it is very small, and you can only enjoy it when the weather permits. The food on whole is great, but there are a few items on the menu that I stay away from due to my lack of familiarity of Mediterranean food. However, you can't go wrong with the lamb shish-kebob! A nice offering they have here is the hookah and flavored tobaccos. It can be a very enjoyable way to extend your date after having dinner. Recently I was able to sit outside in the sitting area near the parking lot, after dinner, to use the hookah. The building blocked all the sounds from 5th Ave, and it made for a very nice and relaxing evening. The service can be slow at times, but I've never had a problem gaining someone's attention there when I needed it.

We are still at the table here waiting for homemade cake for dessert. I already know how good the food is from the amazing lunch we just finished eating. Quite succinctly, they have the best Greek salad, tabouleh and dolmas I have ever eaten. This is a longstanding family restaurant with excellent food. They hand cut all their meats and feta. Our waiter, Mark is very accommodating, personable and professional. The cake was the type you might be lucky enough to find at a pot luck where someone bakes their best cake recipe to bring. In a word, yum!

After getting dragged here several times I finally found something I liked on the menu: lamb kabobs. Eclectic types will love the place though, as it's been a MLB staple for years now.

The atmosphere is clean and comfortable. I believe they only hire attractive people at this place because all the wait staff look like pictures of abercrombie models. An added bonus is that everyone seems really nice too. I've been here a handful of times and though I've tried different skewers (which were perfectly cooked and seasoned.) I can't seem to get enough of the Gyros. I think I'm just addicted to them in general.Though it's only on the lunch menu, if you ask for it on the dinner menu they will happily make it for you. The hummus is fluffy mouth watering and creamy. Though It would be nice to see them add some different options with the hummus (i.e. garlic, onion, pine nuts etc) I've never experienced bad service from this place, but what I can say is that on multiple occasions I've had to wait to be seated when the place was practically empty...but with the food, staff and mediterranean atmosphere it allows for a great change of pass. So when I'm waiting I just enjoy my surroundings. If you're on 5th ave and looking for a good time def don't overlook this place.

This place probably has some of the best vegetarian offerings around but its expensive and service can be slow. Tthe atmosphere is casual and relaxed and it looks like they have hookah smoking in the back (though I didn't smell any sheesha up front). Pricing is a little more than it should be ($17 for a plate of hummus, tabbouleh, baba ghannouj and olives? Import beers were $4.50 each) and the server was inattentive (Monday night?), but overall I would go probably go back again just for the food. Look for the coupon in the local Thrifty Nickel for half-off entree, we were lucky to get out for under $40, 2 entrees and 2 beers.

I love Skewers. I am half-Lebanese and this is soul food for me. I love the belly dancer on Saturday nights. Again, I don't get out much anymore now that we have small children and we hate paying for baby-sitters, but if you are going to have a date night finally, then this is perhaps our favorite choice. The Chicken Shish-taouk (garlic chicken) is crazy good. The rice is outstanding...there must be a lot of butter in it, but as far as authentic good Middle Eastern food, this is good as it gets in a restaurant in Brevard County. It's not that I haven't had better in say, Washington, DC (if you go and love middle eastern food you must go to Lebanese Taverna--MUST!) But at least Skewers is highly delicious. Have a glass of wine and the mezza sampler. Sit outside with it and enjoy the Florida lifestyle. It's my husband's and my favorite resto on 5th Ave in Indialantic, and we have some other good ones there, too, like Island's Fish Grill, Andiamo and City Tropics.

For Greek or Mediterranean dining on the Space Coast, Skewers whose owners are Lebanese, is without question the best choice. I highly recommend dining at For Greek or Mediterranean dining on the Space Coast, Skewers whose owners are Lebanese, is without question the best choice. I highly recommend dining at Skewers for lunch as opposed to dinner. At lunch they have Gyros on the menu and for reasons I cannot understand this stellar item is sadly missing from their dinner menu. Skewers has superb Gyros with a light tzatziki that is refreshingly light. (Some restaurants have a yogurt tzatziki sauce that is thick and heavy like mayonnaise at Skewers it's like mix with a consistency half way between milk and yogurt). On the long list of appetizers is another standout eggplant smash. We have tried almost all of their appetizers and think the eggplant smash (a mix of grilled eggplant, smoked eggplant, tomatoes, walnuts, parsley and olive oil) is the bomb. Finally Skewers uses a crushed or shaved ice in their ice tea instead of regular cubes. A small detail but it really makes for a great ice tea. Don't bother with the menu, go for lunch and tell them egg plant smash, gyros hold the peppers, and ice tea. Delicious.

This is a great Mediterranean restaurant and the food is really amazing. The atmosphere is simply lit with Turkish lanterns, fountains and really pleasant. I had the Mediterranean sampler and vegetarian grape leaves. So good!

Loved it. Amy is a great waitress. Good outstanding. Wine selection pretty good. Here for lunch. It was loud inside but okay. Parking can be a bear but just go park in the back neighborhood. Worth the walk. Outdoor seating available in the front and out back.

Great dinner, service and environment. Will definitely make this a favorite place to visit and recommend to friends.

Fresh food and good service and fair pricing. Had a beer delivered in a sharp chipped mug and table was set with greasy appetizer dishes. Food was decent, but nothing overly remarkable

I have eaten here many times in the past. The food is always very good and fresh. This time they had a belly dancer which was very good. Definitely some place to go again

Fantastic food, friendly staff, great atmosphere!

(5)Joan L.
Great skewers!!! Service was amazing!
(4)F D.
Skewers has only have one veggie entree at dinner. I would have liked to have falafel which is only available at lunch or as an appetizer. My meat loving friends enjoyed the three meats on a skewer special, but thought it was a little pricey.
(3)Kristen M.
(4)Heather V.
If you like the taste of great mediterranean food, then you will love this place. It is even kid friendly. Price wise was not what i wanted to spend but then again, you get what you pay for. and the desserts really were worth getting even after we ate.
(5)Marie S.
(4)James F.
Very good food. Good wine. Friendly service. Took a while to get the food though.
(5)Michael y.
Great place to go after a late day of buisiness. They were open late, and i could still get charbroiled lamb chops, salad, rice and hummus and great friendly service. Nice to go if you are eating with associates or alone.

The ambiance and atmosphere are nice - you can sit outside or inside.

yummy in the tummy!!:) must eat here!!

The food is great! specials are awesome...don't fill up on dinner, you need t try the cake for dessert!!!
(5)Barbara S.
(5)Cory L.

Go here often. Mostly get take out. Food is good for the most part but prices are on the high side for sure.
(4)L.A. B.
(3)C B.
Great service and great food; very big portions; atmosphere informal, but fine. We had a very nice server who provided us with lots of suggestions for what to order. We're visitors, but would most definitely go back anytime.

Delicious.
