Four stars for the muffins. They are big, flavorful, and inexpensive. And there is no skimping on the blueberries/chocolate chips/whatever. while obviously best fresh, they hold up well, too. I highly recommend getting a box to-go. Food is above average diner fare. A worthwhile place, but it wouldn't earn a fourth star from me if not for the excellent muffins. Going on the weekend for breakfast is a bit crazy, with much waiting, and chaotic service.

Great food, good prices. Crabcakes Benedict was delicious and fresh! Spinach quiche was light and fluffy with a perfect crust. Service was lovely. The owner came around and talked with the table, and we had a nice conversation. Muffins were very good, we had the blueberry and the strawberry bran. Can't wait to go again next time we visit the Indialantic area!

Let me start by saying I have never written a negative review. This place had the worst waitress I have EVER witnessed. We came in around noon wanting some brunch and thought we would give Blueberry Muffin a shot. We had two adults and two children in our party. The waitress came and asked what we wanted to drink. I said I wanted a Pepsi and my wife asked for a larger cup of water with lemon. The waitress said, "I'll just bring a pitcher" and walked away. She didn't ask what the kids wanted to drink or bring them silverware. When she returned we told her we wanted chocolate milk and sprite for the kids. She brought two, to-go coffee cups with coffee lids. We had to ask for straws and she acted offended. They have no kids menu and two plates came out dirty. She brought extra plates out and they had dried ketchup on it. Now to the food. My crab cakes Benedict was actually pretty good. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich which wasn't flavorful and was very salty tasting. I gave my food 4 stars and my wife's a 1 star. We never had a refill offered, asked if we needed anything, and when we did try to ask for something she ignored us and walked away. She not only didn't ask us if we needed anything but she wouldn't give us the opportunity/chance to ask for anything (for example to let us order drinks for our kids). Did she just assume they weren't eating or drinking anything?! :/ At end of the meal the waitress started to act friendly. She took away plates and asked how the food was. I ALWAYS leave a tip. This time she got a big fat 0. I will never return. The other waitresses seemed friendly, maybe we had the worst one in the place.

Really cute restaurant with good food. We had the crab cake Benedict, orange cranberry muffin, Belgium waffle, and the ranch chicken pita. The crab cakes and waffle are a must try. Anna (the owner) is a wonderfully jovial woman who interacts and jokes with all the customers. Fabulous woman!
(5)Alex S.
A Beachside favorite! You've never tasted a muffin like this!!! Great breakfast, friendly faces, comfortable atmosphere- a hometown gem. Don't leave without getting a dozen muffins to-go, you'll be happy you did!
(5)Ashlie M.
I'm not a big breakfast eater but I had coffee, bacon, and Crousant Bacon was perfect same as the Crousant Coffee was decent My wifey had eggs Benedict and she claims it's the best Benedict she's ever had (she's gets them everywhere)...
(4)Jill M.
We came here on a Sunday morning around 10:30 and there was a long line but it moved quickly. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes. The food is good. Corned beef hash is just right and everything was cooked as we asked. Muffins were tasty but our batch was a little over done. Service was friendly but slow while we were here. We recognize that it was high time and they were slammed. We waited over 30 min for our scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and hash.
(4)Hanna N.
Absolutely not. Do not go here. The worse service we have ever had in our life! Our waitress was so extremely rude to us and surrounding tables. We had heard this place had a decent breakfast, but the service was awful. We still went to see for ourselves. Huge mistake!! Avoid this place.
(1)Jenn K.
This is a great place to come for breakfast!Wonderful speedy service and very friendly staff!! Our waitress was Awesome!!! My husband and I are vacationing here from PA and found this gem of a place in Melbourne Beach FL... I had scrambled eggs, home fries, homemade blueberry muffin and a fresh brewed cup of coffee and my Husband had an turkey sausage omelet with home fries. It was absolutely delicious!!! We will for sure come back again and again!!
(5)Michael M.
This is a good place for breakfast but unlike many people that rave about it, Im not a big fan. The staff is friendly but the service is slow. I like my eggs over medium and they always come hard. The pancakes are ok but nothing special. The eggs benedict are just ok, again nothing special. Also the seating is cramped and the enviroment is very loud. Great location though, its obvious they get the beachgoers.
(3)Leah Lorraine C.
I admit, I have not been here in awhile but I always come to this place for breakfast when I visit my family who reside in the area. It's always been one of our go-to places, especially for pancakes when we are on vacation.
(4)Nancy F.
Out of this world, fluffy warm and fresh out of the oven blueberry muffins, super sweet staff and killer delish crab cake eggs Benedict
(5)Igor S.
Great breakfast place. Very small, but Blueberry muffins and blueberry pancakes are their specialty. They really do good. Looking for a sweet craving and some breakfast this is a place to check it out in Melbourne, Florida.
(4)E M.
Food good. Not all food was brought to the counter at the same time. Minutes in between plates. Toast was warned in a microwave. My main plate was out I top of my toast. Watched hostess put her hand in the white bags for muffins to open the bag but did use a tissue to pick up the muffins. Don t bring in your coffee. They confiscated it. Staff is nicely rude. They are nice but come across abrupt.
(2)Trisha M.
First time visitor! Food was great hot and fast! Great diner! Staff was exceptional!! Thank you for starting our vacation off on the right foot!!
(5)Bryan M.
First and foremost, I have noticed service in florida sucks. This place stayed consistent with my opinion. I was ready to walk out beforw the owner came up to us and apologized. The food was cold when we got it.. I hate complaining and I like to find positive things to post but I am at a block in the road. Well. My daughter's fruit dish looked good
(1)Manda P.
I'm from Utah, and this is my favorite spot to eat when I'm in town. My favorite menu item, of course, is the blueberry muffin. But the fact that I'm a blueberry fanatic aside, the service is prompt and friendly overall. The place could use a deep cleaning, however most beachside food establishments in the area also could.
(4)Ali C.
Such a great little place for breakfast! We went on Mother's Day and had very quick service. The corned beef hash was delicious and we LOVED the muffins! If anyone knows where I can get the recipe please send it my way!
(5)Linda M.
My favorite breakfast place in this area. The food comes out fast and hot. The wait can often be long but so worth it.
(5)LaLa S.
Quality restaurant with lots of choices and fresh food. The owners are so sweet and friendly. The customer service from the waitresses are equally as good. My dad loves this restaurant. So we make it a point to come here whenever I'm in town. The last time we visited, we went for a walk on the beach after since it's so close. The muffins are baked fresh daily and they have a variety to choose from so ask what muffins they have available while there. They are definitely worth a taste.
(4)Alf S.
At first before coming in, the hostess/waitress told me that no outside coffee cups are allowed in the restaurant. It didn't feel very hospitable for the hostess to do this to me. I have been to many restaurants for brunch with a coffee cup from somewhere else and has never been a problem. The place was slammed full of people! Once we sat down we felt as if we were in a retirement community, which wasn't bad but the decor inside also looked retired. Its time to put a new floor and get rid of the crap carpet. We got seated and didn't feel the vibe and we got up and left. This restaurant doeskin care if they get crappy yelp reviews because its a staple here in Indiaalantic and really has no competition. The food and muffins looked amazing though! I might come back for take out or just to buy a muffin.
(1)Ben R.
The service is slow, the food is pedestrian, the parking lot is too small , and the line to get a table is interminable. The fact that my brother-in-law is obsessed with their blueberry muffins (which are perfectly acceptable muffins) is the only reason I'm still forced to come here but if I had my choice, I'd never be stuck in that line again.
(2)Roger S.
Long tradition of good food and service. Trademark is they are sure you are never waiting for them to give you the check! Which I like! My visit recently was again great food and service for breakfast!
(5)Brian M.
My wife and I go to the Blueberry Muffin about once a month for breakfast on the weekends. We like to walk with our coffee in travel mugs. Today, for some reason is the day the Owners daughter decides their customer's can't bring in their own coffee. Instead of allowing me to leave my mug on the corner of the table not drinking from it, she forces me to take it outside and dump it. In the past I have always ordered juice from the menu in an effort to compensate for whatever perceived loss of sales the restaurant thinks they are suffering, but now the choice is simple - never return to the Blueberry Muffin. Way to go, making two frequent diners (and locals) unwelcome. I understand it's their business to do with what they want, and I was happy to comply and not drink my contraband coffee, but to treat us like children by sending us outside to get rid of the forbidden beverage is silly.
(1)WW L.
This is a popular destination for breakfast in the area. They are known for freshly baked yumminess namely the delicious muffins. I like the blueberry ones as they are light and delicious. BB is partial to chocolate ones...no surprise there. Prices are affordable and service is friendly. Weekends can be super busy so arrive early. Ample parking spaces in the lot outside. You can also get carwash next door. :)
(3)J C.
In the area on business and this place came highly recommended. Was warned about the possible wait but told it was worth it. Went in on a Sunday morning, line was to the door. Waited about 5 minutes to get a table. Service was pleasant and prompt, menu offered good options. Offered both breakfast and lunch, which was great for a late morning meal. I ordered the crab cake benedict, which was homemade and fresh. Everything was prepared well and was a good portion for breakfast. Friends got the muffins and confirmed how good they were advertised. Overall a good breakfast spot with good service and a casual beachside atmosphere.
(3)Jennifer G.
I am surprised by all the good reviews that I see for this restaurant. The food is mediocre and the hostess was rude.
(1)Greg W.
Food was decent, I did enjoy the blueberry muffin itself. Service was somewhat lacking. Took a while for us to be seated, despite the fact that 1/2 a dozen tables were empty. Our server was a bit odd too, gave me a little bit of a 'tude when I ordered an egg white omelet. Overall, worth checking out, just not sure how soon I'll return
(3)Nicole J.
We were extremely hung over and this place saved our lives! Steak and eggs were great along with the red flannel hash.
(5)Cory B.
I don't want to be one of those guys who disingenuously throws around words like "best!" or "greatest!" to describe food...but the blueberry muffins here are the most incredible ones you'll ever have. Period. Aside from their renowned baked goods, their breakfast offerings are very tasty and reasonably priced. If your looking for a place to fuel up before hitting the beach, this place is the spot! Don't be deterred by a long line--it moves quickly. Believe me, it's worth the wait!
(4)Dee K.
Great breakfast- i had the crabcake Benedict. Tasty, some of the best crabcakes I've had. They also make fresh muffins with seasonal ingredients every day of the week. Its a diner/mom&pop atmosphere and there seems to be a loyal following with lines out the door and parking lot full. Yum!
(4)Jeff G.
This is a great breakfast spot, also very popular apparently as the parking lot was full and many people waiting in line.Fortunately they are quick and efficient so we didn't have to wait long. On this visit I ordered the special pumpkin and pecan pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The pancakes were great, not too sweet or over done with spices. Service was friendly and quick, so no complaints there! You can't leave without picking up one of the muffins to go, conveniently located at the check out counter. I picked up a pumpkin muffin to take home for breakfast the next day, I had to resist temptation to buy more as they all looked delicious. On drive back to the event I was attending I took a nibble of the still warm muffin... It didn't survive the trip back.
(5)Kimberly M.
Cute place but it wasn't great. Seemed to take forever fit my husband to get his diet soda and for our server to take our food order. I ordered the single order French Toast with sausage. Pork sausage only comes in patties, not links, but I tried them anyway. My husband ordered their classic with meat (eggs, home fries, sausage and biscuit). Food came out pretty quick, not too fast. French Toast was good. Sausage was terrible. Dry, with not much flavor. My husband's meal came out without his biscuit. She brought that a few minutes later and it was cold. Not even warm. Our waitress had some issues. She seemed overwhelmed by the five tables she had. She'd clear a table and a trail of trash would follow her through the room as she swept past. She had some very dramatic "ugh"s and sighs as she passed our table to the kitchen. She delivered food to other table without condiments (pancakes or a waffle without syrup). Speaking of syrup, she delivered two containers to my table. I had to guess which one was maple and still have no clue what was in the other one, it looked purple. Anyhow, overall disappointing, except for my French toast. We won't be going back or recommending to anyone.
(1)Laura D.
Let's state the obvious first...blueberry muffins were fantastic! Otherwise, this was your typical breakfast place. Food was unremarkable. Servers seemed exhausted. I'm sure Sat mornings are their busiest but this seemed more than that. The line to pay was odd. Not sure what the problem was there, but it wasn't helped by people jumping in line to pay with cash "while the register is open." Long story short-go for the muffins but don't expect anything more than that.
(3)Jon M.
One thing for certain on yelp reviews, you certainly get a cross section of bad customers. I ended up here because two other spots that hit on "breakfast" were not open during posted hours. I had a very plain experience Dining here. Food was done right. Service was a tiny slow, but I am on vacation, not highly scheduled work. Don't expect anything particularly spectacular. It's a diner primarily.
(3)Mark C.
Classic Breakfast place, good food and fantastic service....give it a try, worth the wait....
(4)J D.
We liked this place enough to come back two times in four days! Once we came for breakfast and had the friendliest waitress ever! We ordered the eggs Benedict, spinach Benedict and blueberry pancakes...I asked for a biscuit instead of a muffin for my spinach Benedict, no problem--and I scarfed up the entire dish, it was fabulous!! We all cleaned our plates! The next day we went for lunch, he meal was good--chef salad, grilled chicken salad buffalo chicken tenders and a blueberry muffin. Again, our plates were cleaned! The only thing different this time is that our waitress was less than engaging. Even though she told us she was from our hometown, Pittsburgh, she was blah compared to the waitress from the day before. The owners appear engaging and sweet to all of their customers. We will come back so that I can try the blueberry pie!
(4)Brent B.
This place has the best muffins in the world. Period. We came in for breakfast and got typical breakfast fare (eggs, toast, bacon) and yes it was incredibly tasty but we got a to go muffin on a whim and my god. Don't get me wrong - the breakfast was delicious too. So yes 5 stars. If you're going to eat here on a weekend get here early because the place will be mobbed. That's usually the sign of a great restaurant.
(5)Jodie C.
A diner names after my favorite fruit? Had to visit and wasn't disappointed. Not fancy but oh so good. Don't let the building's exterior fool you ... Good food in a clean, friendly environment. Reminds me of the kind of family run place my grandpa would take me to - probably because the owners are from Chicago. Breakfast came faster than I could download and log into Yelp. Perfectly scrambled eggs - moist! Bacon perfectly crispy and the best blueberry pancake I've ever had. Coffee is diner style so if you REALLY need a cappuccino drive just a mile and a half north to get your fix at Starbucks. Service was fast, kind and with a warm smile. Best part? They offered to bake a new blueberry pie just because I wanted it! Who does that anymore? If you don't have time to wait, at least get some muffins. Super yummy!
(4)Becky S.
We found The Blueberry Muffin on Yelp and decided to try it out for breakfast, and we are SO glad we did! The staff were extremely friendly and the service was great. They really made it feel like hometown service. Our server, Sara, was very sweet! We ordered an omelet, French toast, and eggs benedict and couldn't have asked for anything better! We even took a few muffins to go. I can't wait to come back to Melbourne and visit this little gem!
(5)Brian M.
Had breakfast on a Sunday at around 1030. The small parking lot was flooded and the long line inside extended to the side entrance. The line moved along pretty efficiently. When we were seated, we were at a table that was probably not originally supposed to be there. It created a tight area for the waitresses to get through. In fact, I lifted my left elbow up and accidentally hit my waitress in the side with it as she was walking by. I got a Chocolate Chip Muffin, scrambled eggs, bacon, turkey sausage and home fries. The food was good and the homemade muffin was good as well. Good, but nothing great or too memorable, despite the long line that remained until we left around 1130. Doubt I'll go back, due to the long lines and feeling of being cramped. Wait staff were nice, but really busy. Nothing negative to say about the food though.
(4)DC P.
Meh. Food was only ok... Absolutely nothing special and it all lacked a depth of flavor. The blueberry muffins and blueberry pancakes were both dry and weren't as full if blueberries as I had hoped. Everything was kind of bland. The fruit plate consisted of about 1/2 cup cottage cheese and maybe a cup of chopped fresh fruit with a few frozen (!) blueberries on the top. It was lame for $7.99. The coffee was mediocre at best, and tasted weak. The servers were nice but s-l-o-w. The owner (Bill) was there and super friendly. Overall, maybe 2.5 stars for the food but the service brought it down to 2 stars. For the price paid and quality/satisfaction received, I would have been better off going to one of those fast food places and ordering an egg mcmuffin and coffee and spending the saved $$ on a better dinner.
(2)Chris D.
Went here with my wife and daughter for breakfast. Place was busy for a Thursday in January. Took a few minutes to get a table and as we looked around the place was clean looking After we were seated it went down hill. Our waitress was not very friendly. Nothing nasty just take the order and go attitude. Menus selection was adequate but the food truly lacked flavor Egg white and feta omelet was bland. Potatoes had a strange oily taste. Pancake was completely tasteless except foe choc chips. Corn beef hash was very good but mostly diced potatoes. I saved my blueberry muffin for last, figuring it would be excellent since the name is blueberry muffin restaurant. Unfortunately I was wrong. I think the put too much flour and skipped the sugar. I actually just left it there As I stood at the register waiting to pay, I was amazed at how many people were ordering muffing to go. Maybe the baker and chef had a bad day when I was there but I will never know because I am not going back. Gook luck with this one.
(3)Jessi B.
Quaint little diner with excellent Blueberry muffins! Seriously, the best muffin I've ever had. The other breakfast options are pretty standard. I guess there's a reason that the names themselves after their best product.
(4)Ed D.
Crab cakes Benedict were utterly disappointing. Hollandaise tasted fine but was starchy. Crab cakes were pretty gross, almost like a mix of real and imitation crab with soggy bread crumbs.
(2)Marie T.
Food is adequate but staff is either rude or overwhelmed. Tried to go with my child once on my own and another time with husband and kids and the staff seemed to be bothered with them (they were behaving well) even to get a table no waitress seemed to want to take us. Place always busy but not sure why... Keep driving for another place.
(1)Skye S.
The service here is awful. I have never-ever-ever been as offended as I was by a waitress at the Blueberry Muffin Restaurant. Let me start off by saying that their hours are strange to say the least and the outside decor is old fashioned and broken down. My son (who is under the age of five) and I were at the beach, we were starving and the burrito factory was packed. This was our second option and it was just by chance. Upon entering we were ignored, I thought maybe they were busy. I looked around and there were hardly any customers. Then a man behind the front counter called to a waitress and she came over and greeted my son and I. We reached the table, I was going to sit across from my son (who is very well behaved and we take up to upscale dinning establishments all the time).. the waitress grabbed my sons shoulder and said to him "You have to sit by your mom" then turned to me and snottily said "you have to sit together, this isn't a park for your kid to run around"... This made my son cry, which I am still shocked I didn't blow up. Who just grabs some random persons kid like that? I took my sons hand and I told the waitress that she was rude and her attitude was more then uncalled for. Before I left the waitress had made her way back to the man behind the counter, the man asked what the problem was and the waitress replied "she's a bitch". Clear as day. I called later to complain and I was told to call back? No thanks, I am not calling back but I am for sure telling people on yelp and in conversation to never ever go to the Blueberry Muffin Restaurant.
(1)Heather D.
Excellent food with great service! Must have the eggs benedict. Everything is reasonably priced and well worth. Didn't have a chance to get the famous blueberry muffins but they looked yummy! Will definitely return!!
(5)Brenda P.
The blueberry muffins are amazing. The staff is very polite and attentive. It's a close walk from the beach.
(4)Carey V.
We are staying on the island and are here for breakfast today. The muffins are great. The coffee is okay. Skip the rest. They seem slightly off put by children. Very dated place.
(2)Kimo J.
Had the crab cake eggs Benedict and being from the eastern shore of Maryland I know my crab cakes and have grown accustomed to expecting the worst when it comes to quality of crab cakes outside of the DMV. I am happy to report that these did not disappoint! If I'm able to make it there again I will definitely order the crab cake Benedict again! Also before I forget, as the name implies they do indeed sell FRESH blueberry muffins which are TO DIE for! They also sell fresh baked pies and other muffin flavors. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try! They also have a breakfast bar which is your best bet for an open seat or two on a busy morning!
(5)Kyle M.
I've eaten here a bunch of times over the years. A great place for breakfast with a specialty in very fresh muffins. The staff is very friendly as can be expected with most restaurants in Melbourne. The French Toast is excellent! I uploaded a few pics. The restaurant is less than 3 minutes from the beach so it's a great place to stop in on the way out for a day in the sun. The only downside is they close early so it's a breakfast/brunch only type place. You're going to have to take your 7pm cravings for pancakes to Denny's.
(4)Ashley M.
So delicious! Great breakfast variety, homemade muffins are to die for. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. We will be back every time we come to town!!
(5)Tracy F.
First breakfast in Melbourne and we picked the right place. The staff were friendly and seated us fast. The food was outstanding. The freshly baked muffins were right out of the oven onto the plate. The rest of our meal was perfect and the price was reasonable. We have our new breakfast hangout. Good choice.
(4)Brandy T.
This place doesn't even have a hostess. It's a cluster mess to wait in line and not even know what's going on. Our 3rd member of our party was in the bathroom so they took out menus away and told us to go back in line. Like really? Never going back. Just because our other person was with us right then and there we had to go to the back of the line? They were in the bathroom!!
(1)Shira K.
This is a one star place. The only reason for the second star is Lynn, the server. Okay, if your place is called "Blueberry Muffin Restaurant", you should have a kick-ass blueberry muffin, at the very least. Nope. It was dry and flavorless. The omelette, which I asked for well-done, came undercooked. I sent it back to be cooked a bit more, and it arrived, slightly more cooked, but still not well-done. I knew better than to send it back again. That said, the server, Lynn, was fantastic. Super-nice. Really great. She was the only good thing about this place.
(2)John C.
My son, grandson, and I really enjoyed the breakfast we had during our recent visit to Melbourne Beach. The crabcake eggs benedict I had were perfect as was the eggs benedict my son had. The poached eggs were perfect on both. My grandson's pancakes and eggs were also perfect and of course the blueberry muffin we all shared we all agreed was one of the best we had ever had - no wonder this place is always busy - but it is well worth the wait!
(5)Ty M.
Had to put my two cents worth here. I see a couple of less than positive reviews and I am not sure why. I have been eating at Blueberry Muffin for a couple of years now, and I have always had good service and excellent food. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a good meal. It is not a big place and it isn't fast food, there are other places for that. I can sum it up by saying, that when I get the opportunity to go out for breakfast, Blueberry Muffin is my first choice over and over.
(5)Steve M.
Like someone above said the service in florida is not very good. I have given this place multiple tries and never have been impressed. The food in my opinion is pretty good and comes at a good price but both times i have been in the service was horrible. For starters our server christin was the furthest thing from friendly, acting disgusted any time we asked for anything, she simply demanded an order without even asking if we were ready, and once the food came she took the syrup away mid way through our meal and made no effort to try to smile or be friendly. As a server in my eyes this place is a no go, the food may be good but the service makes it so you don't feel welcome or want to stay.
(2)Billy C.
Walked in and waited to be seated. Hostess ignored my wife and i as she assisted a customer that came after us. The customer bought a muffin. The hostess looked at my wife and I and said I will be right with you. She then took her money for the muffin and the customer left. The hostess then walks over and begins offering coffee to another customer and asked another customer if they needed anything. I turned to my wife and said this service sucks as we decided to leave. Now I'm at a Denny's because the little business didn't want my business. Worst service I have had since I have been to Florida .
(1)D S.
VERY popular restaurant in this area, but wasn't a great meal for me. Basic tasting, too crowded, and wait staff stretched thin. I really don't like having to beg for refills of coffee... Honestly, so mediocre that I can't really remember much about it, other than I was glad to pay and go! Gluten-Free note: nothing beyond basics.
(2)Tara K.
Everything is great. No matter what you order.
(5)Brooke K.
The Blueberry Muffin is as good as it gets for breakfast in Indialantic! The food is spot on, the service is fast and friendly, the only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the coffee is horrendous! My husband and I hit this place 2x's during our stay in Indialantic and each trip was fabulous, I had poached eggs the first day that were perfect and he had a delightful french toast. The next morning I had eggs over medium (done just right) and he had pancakes! Of course each morning we had a muffin that was perfect! If you are in the area, don't miss it!
(4)Steve G.
Get. The. Blueberry. Muffin.
(4)David C.
Very, very average. Some of servers had allot of attitude and food is very average. Only highlight was the muffins which were nice.
(3)Gabe S.
Ordered: 2 'classics' (2 eggs, sausage or bacon, toast, grits or homefries), 2 waffles for kids, fresh squeezed orange juice and 2 blueberry muffins. Highs: Breakfast order was perfectly prepared. The bite I snuck of my daughters waffles was incredible - very light & extremely tasty. The muffins were unbelievable. Almost rustic in appearance but clearly made from scratch with fresh blueberries. Lows: none. Service was pretty good considering they were very busy. Overall: This reminds me of a small town breakfast place that the locals visit half out of habit and half because they know they'll see their neighbors. It's almost as if the high quality is such an automatic thing, the only thing to decide is when to go.
(5)Steffanie B.
Awful. Blueberry muffin tasted old. It certainly wasn't fresh that day. We were there at 8:00 am so no excuse!
(1)Christopher K.
This is a fun little place for a Sunday brunch. I have been here several times before but this was the first time with kids. We magically hit one of those five minute windows when the waiting line just cleared so we were second but by the time we were seated there were already ten people behind us. We tried a variety of brunch staples -- signature muffins, bacon, pancakes, home fries. We had a couple of omelets that were very thin and were made with fresh ingredients (especially the spinach). The one flaw was the the onions in one were not cooked but put in raw -- they needed to be fished out. The wait staff is friendly and the restaurant is welcoming to kids. $35 brunch for two adults and three children.
(3)Pamela V.
Service is slow, food tastes like microwaved leftovers...from a frozen box. Been here twice and am thoroughly unimpressed and perplexed by local love for this place...you're better off going to Waffle House.
(1)Chris Z.
I ordered the ribeye & eggs. The ribeye was tiny-tiny. I realize that most people in the area are 60+ but when I order steak & eggs, I want at least two eggs, and more than 2oz of decent quality meat. It basically was well season grissle about the size of a spam slice. The biscuits were good. The gravy was good. Service was good. But stay away from the ribeye. And I always think that top quality breakfast joints need to have Wi-Fi. That's how I read my morning paper.

Multiple generations of my family has enjoyed this restaurant. My grandmother used to bring my great grandmother here and she would tell me how considerate they were about letting them take their time in an often busy restaurant. This place is very often packed, but the food is tasty and the service is usually good.

The best breakfast spot in the area - great prices and great service. The wait staff are very friendly - constantly filling up the coffee cup and making sure you're satisfied. The omelets are fantastic - as are the eggs benedict with crab cakes. Prices are very reasonable. The place is always hopping - very popular with the local crowd.

I love blueberry, sometimes you can just have a bad experience at a really good restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and always checking in with us, with a great sense of humor. The food was nothing special, it was good, just nothing special. I grabbed three muffins on the way out, ate them later in the day, they also were good, but nothing special, then again, they might have been better eariler.

Next time I go to Melbourne I'm definitely visiting this place again. The decor goes with their name the color blue and the theme blueberries, too cute. There is a small line in the morning but it goes by fast. Plus, the smell of delicious baked good make you not want to leave the line. They have fresh muffins by the cash register so that you don't leave home without any. The service with A+ we were seated right away and water was brought out quickly. They asked if we wanted coffee and we said yes and the cups and coffee were there quickly as well. The place was packed and the service was on the dot. I ordered the special, eggs, bacon, hash-browns and a blueberry muffin. I was very satisfied with my breakfast and everything was tasty. I could not resist taking 3 muffins home with me. If you are ever on the treasure coast of Florida stop and visit this great place.

The crab cake eggs benedict literally had me saying WOW! The restaurant isn't much for looks or atmosphere, but if you're looking for incredible breakfast, look no further! It's definitely a local favorite!

Good food and service. Try Panita just up the street.

My family has been vacation in Indialantic since I was 9 and no visit is complete without several visits to The Blueberry Muffin. We don't count ourselves as "there" till we've spotted the blue roof. Every breakfast option is delicious. I've never had a bad meal there. I never order lunch, breakfast is all I want from them. It is the best, the people are friendly and the service is great. You might have a wait though because it's super popular.

The breakfast, especially the muffin, was so good! If you can get a table in this place it's worth the wait. The servers are friendly, the prices are great, and the food is excellent. If you can't get a table, take home some muffins from the front counter. Trust me, you won't be disappointed here!
(5)Frank E.
You know, with a name like the Blueberry Muffin Restaurant... you would expect an awesome blueberry muffin right? and you would get one here! I am not a breakfast person, at all, I very, very rarely eat breakfast... but I am totally ok with coming here for breakfast... really enjoy it...
(4)Deanna C.
Very disappointing all around- the server was rude, the food was horrible and prices were high for the food quality. They even recognized they messed up the food order but did not try to make it better and never came back to see how we were doing. Breakfast was a bust. Will not be returning any time soon.

I grew up in Melbourne and it took me until I moved away to ever check out The Blueberry Muffin. Had an awesome weekend breakfast with my husband--he had an omelet and I had blueberry pancakes, and we took a blueberry muffin (of course) to go. The food was good, the coffee was fresh, the service was friendly and fast, and it didn't break the bank. We'll be back every time we're in town!

Service there is like eating at home... or at a favorite aunt's place. The food is good, the atmosphere is like grandma's kitchen. The eggs are fresh, red flannel (corn beef hash with beets not your pjs) is nice and fried, the country fried potatoes are crispy, the blueberry muffin is warm, the blueberry pancake is full of berries. The blue berry pie is superb. The list goes on. oh, the owner said he owned the restaurant for over 20 yrs.... and he doesn't even like blueberries. :p

My husband and I decided to try the Blueberry Muffin after several good reviews here. We went for breakfast. The building is pretty plain on the outside, and the decor on the inside had some grandma-style charm to it. The place was pretty busy for 9am on a Tuesday. We were seated promptly and received hot, fresh coffee within minutes of sitting down. The service was quick and efficient. My husband had the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, which appeared to have fresh strawberries. I had the eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. We both tried the blueberry muffins (how can you not, when eating at a place called the Blueberry Muffin!). They came warm served with butter and tasted wonderful! The breakfast itself was satisfying, well made and tasty. For science, my husband and I both had a slice of pie, he had apple and I had...wait for it...blueberry. Both were pretty good, I don't know if they're fresh or frozen or perhaps a little of both, but the pie was fine. We had a very good experience at the Blueberry Muffin and will definitely be returning - for breakfast at the very least - if not to try the lunch fare. UPDATE: 09/02/08 Went to the Blueberry Muffin again for breakfast. Again, on a Tuesday morning, not too many people there. However, this time, the service was pretty crummy. Our waitress forgot my OJ, brought the wrong muffin, and took a long time to bring the food out (not busy in the place). I know that last one may not have been her fault. The food was pretty mediocre this visit, I had the eggs benedict with crab cake, which I thought was pretty good, but my husband (again) had the belgian waffle with strawberries. The strawberries looked pretty old. The muffins also weren't as (fresh?) as they were before, kinda dry and bland. I wonder if we just happened to hit them up on a bad day, or if the first time we went was a fluke? We'll have to return for one more trip sometime soon. I'll update then. Removed a star in the meantime.

Girlfriend and I were out of town for a quick weekend away. Found this place while driving up the coast. A good place for breakfast but I have had better. Decor is a little outdated. Food quality was good, but not fantastic. Portion sizes were very good however. Just what we were looking for that morning but not the best. Seem to be limited choices for that area so it was OK.

Sorry, but I don't get it. It's breakfast and it's not worth it. That's saying something. The coffee is horrible and I LOVE diner coffee; hate Starbucks!
(2)Michael y.
Been coming here for 20 years. Finally doing the yelp review. Solid, old fashioned diner feel. Of course u have to try the homemade fresh baked blueberry muffin and the awesome crab Benedict. Perfect brunch and conviently located across from the beach. 3.5 stars. Place was packed

Forget the Blueberry Muffins! This place should be renamed to ORANGE MUFFIN! They are to die for!!
(4)S L.
The place is very small and there was a 45 minutes wait. The muffins are really good and they serve them warm and with butter. The rest of the breakfast was very average. My husband had an omelet with bacon, cheese and mushrooms. It was very thin and needed seasoning. The home fries where under seasoned as well, are they afraid to use salt and pepper? I had the Eggs Crab Cakes, which is a version of Eggs Benedict with a crab cake instead of Canadian bacon. The sauce was good, but the crab cake tasted like it was previously frozen and hardly had any crab meat at all. The coffee tasted burnt. It was very average, not worth the long wait. I could just walk in and pick up a muffin next time.

Love the orange blossom muffin! and the eggs benedict is great
(4)Kellie B.
Amazing breakfast! The muffins are delicious!
(5)Rae D.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with great smiles, service and specials. With the coffee served, the corned beef hash with two eggs over medium, grits and wheat toast was ordered along with one of their specials. The special being a french toast croissant stuffed with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Everything cooked perfectly and eaten down to the crumbs. Unfortunately, the coffee tasted very much watered down. All in all, a great eating experience.

I don't get the hype about this place at all. I'd heard that it was the best and was highly disappointed. After living in Melbourne for several months I now see that there just aren't any stand out places. I've been to better - Son on the Beach, for example, but I think the taste buds of Melboring-ites have been damaged somehow for The Blueberry Muffin to be held in such distinction. The muffins were dry things that had to be followed by an entire glass of water. Not enjoyable whatsoever. Service was fine. Price was fine. Food - blech.

Very popular & for good reason. The coffee was good, service was friendly and prompt, and the blueberry pancakes were fantastic. We got there about 9:15am on a Sunday morning & by 10:30, the place was swamped!
(4)Carol B.
Good eats for the breakfast and lunch crowd. We had to wait in line to be seated, but it was a sunny Saturday morning, so that is to be expected anywhere. Simple menu....sweetened up a bit. Rock bottom prices. Great value. I had the french toast dipped in custard batter and a side of bacon , plus a coffee, all for around $5.
(3)Cindy J.
Eh - not my first choice but my 11 year old son loves the corned beef hash (he's a big eater). Can be crowded if you arrive after 9ish, regardless of the day. Usually pretty noisy & not very relaxing. The service is hit or miss - sometimes great, other times I'm left waiting & waiting for a coffee refill. Its not really a good place if you want a light and/or healthy breakfast (I'd head to the Blue Lemon Cafe for that), but if you want to gorge yourself on pancakes and the like this will be perfect.

The Blueberry Muffin has faithfully served Melbourne area clientele and visitors for several decades. The owner takes pride in the menu choices, food selection and preparation. The wait staff are friendly and efficient. There is a reason the Blueberry Muffin has been in business for so many years in an area where many restaurants fail. Obviously the blueberry muffins are fantastic but other menu items are equally tasty and scrumptous. I always have difficulty choosing between their very good custom-order omelettes and the delicious blueberry pancakes. I am lucky enough to live in walking distance so after such a filling meal a stroll home along the beach feel soooo good. It's not generally considered a lunch place but the Blueberry Muffin does serve pretty good fare until 2:00 PM. One example is that they order their high quality salmon fresh daily, a dish that I can recommend without hesitation. Since I have only ordered salmon I can not comment on their other selections, however my hunch is that all of the lunch dishes are probably fairly well prepared and freshly prepared. Do not panic if the car park is full (well, actually it's always full) as the service is very efficient without any pushiness either when you are eating. I do not know how the staff manages to do both.

You won't find a better breakfast anywhere. Sure, it's pretty standard stuff...blueberry pancakes...texas toast french toast...corn beef hash...eggs/bacon/sausage...BUT, you will NEVER get a bad meal. Everytime we come to the area we stop at the Blueberry Muffin and have never been let down. Don't let the wait discourage you, either...the line moves VERY fast!!! Enjoy!!!

Ah, days of auld lang syne! Right across the street is the beach. I love to stand in the parking lot and take a big lung full of briny air before I go inside this tiny hut to slake my salt-induced appetite with eggs, canadian bacon, and blueberry muffins. Crowded? Yes. Noisy? Yes. Hit and miss service? Call it casual. My wife grew up in this neighborhood, but her folks passed years ago. Still, we come back for the memories and for her to reconnect with the beach she played on since she was 4. As far as I'm concerned, that's reason enough.

Before moving to Indialantic, this beachside community was my vacation spot. Part of the charm was going to The Blueberry Muffin for breakfast. The grits are hot, breakfast is still relatively inexpensive, and the food is good! What more could I ask for in a breakfast spot? Since I moved here, I have the pleasure of having breakfast there more often! The service is friendly and engaging. Paula (AKA, Genius) is one of my favorite waitresses and an absolute sweetheart. Ms. Anna and her dear husband are the owner's with The Mostest, because they are always super friendly and never fail to deliver a smile to my face. Long Live The Blueberry Muffin! Wahoooo!
(4)Amy H.
Probably the most popular breakfast place beach side. This place has a great breakfast for a great price. The only thing I don't like is that will not grill your muffins on the WEEKEND. This place has awesome blueberry muffins, which is the main reason I like going, not happy about the fact they will not prepare my breakfast the way I want it cooked, when I'm the paying customer. My suggestion go on a week day.
(3)Mark G.
Food and value was great but service was severely lacking. Took us over 30 mins to get our food! There are much better places beachside, such as The Friendly Toast and Sun on the Beach.
(3)Theo H.
I think I just agreed to marry the daughter of the owner. :-)

I have to say that I don't understand why there are good reviews for this place. For starters, I found the interior dreary and run down. The staff all looked pretty miserable and our server seemed very unenthusiastic. My eggs benedict was edible, but certainly not good. The hollandaise tasted odd, and in retrospect I suspect it was canned. My homefries were dry and lukewarm. My parents were equally unimpressed. We have all declared that we will never go back. Nonetheless, whenever I drive by the place the parking lot is pretty full. My only guess is that perhaps they draw a lot of hapless tourists since they are located directly on A1A.

This resturant is always packed -- that is a good sign. When I'm in town I try to get there for a breakfast. It feels like coming home.
(4)Emily W.
Tasty gyro, feta and spinach omelet was had by the BF. The service was fast and very friendly. My bfast of a croissant with a mountain of blueberries was not that good. I would deffo come back but not order the same thing. The blueberry muffin was very very good. I should have stuck with the thing the dang restaurant was named after!
(3)Kathleen R.
Obviously you'll want to order the namesake pastry here, which was awesome. During a family-related visit, my brother, a friend and I enjoyed this popular Sun. morning spot (it was a welcome reprieve from an unexpected sh*tshow one of our other relatives put on the night before). The service was friendly, and we were seated relatively quickly in spite of the crowd. Our coffee was good and refilled often, and I think we also had some decent pancakes and eggs. If you find yourself in this section of Florida, definitely make a stop at the Muff.
(4)Maryssa M.
Cute gimmick with the warm, homemade muffins. The food is good, but coffee isn't the best. The water used to make the coffee is not filtered and has a strong chlorine taste.
(3)Janet G.
Yummy! The decor is very casual and not at all showy, which is kind of nice for a breakfast place. They've not yet tried to make the place hipper, and I like that. You can get muffins to go, but having those huge, delicious treats dropped off at your table all warmed up is too great an offer to turn down.
(4)Lindsey P.
Typical diner type restaurant serving up the old standards. In my opinion if the only reason you come here is to have the eggs benedict it will be well worth it! Fresh poached eggs, not cooked in the microwave like other local restaurants, perfectly toasted english muffins and creamy hollandaise sauce. They are known for their muffins and biscuits but personally I find them a little dry and too cake like but to each their own. Good service and full of local clientle. A must every time we're in town surfing.
(4)Jenny L.
I crave their blueberry muffins and am in love with them.
