Get a skillet. You won't be disappointed! The country fried steak skillet (while it may be a heart attack on a plate) is absolutely, ridiculously, deliciously sinful. It is so good. The Polska skillet, also fabulous. Avocado skillet? Bomb. Benedicts? Really good. Beachside Cafe is a great value --- a TON of food for a great price. Awesome service. Our go-to for breakfast beachside!

Solid place for breakfast in this little cafe. The portions are way big at a reasonable price with quality food and super friendly staff. I had the corned beef hash Benedict and the has was nice and crispy and the eggs were poached properly which is difficult to do in my book. The girlfriend had the avocado skillet which she said was yummy but again so big that there was plenty to box up and take home. If in the area give this place a try. You really can't go wrong.

My wife and I stopped in on our way up the coast for lunch after seeing Yelp reviews. Staff were friendly and quickly brought us drinks and took our order. Coleen took care of us and she was very friendly and helpful throughout our lunch. We came about 15 minutes before close (they're open 7am-2pm as they only serve breakfast and lunch) and I appreciated that they had no problem with our late arrival. We ordered Caesar salads, an Italiano, and a Reuben. The Reuben came on their homemade Rye bread. Both were fantastic! The bread was warm and toasty on both with generous portions of meat. The Caesar salads were pretty standard, but they had a good lettuce to dressing ratio, which earns major points in my book! Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend this little cafe to anyone looking for lunch in the area!

I. Love. This. Place. Great menu and delicious food. I am addicted to their fried French toast! Comfortable and courteous with great service even on their busiest days. A little small and sometimes there's a short wait to be seated but its definitely worth the wait.

Excellent breakfast, fast service, good prices.

I came here with my family for breakfast following an 8k, so we were pretty hungry. There was a short wait, but it was a Saturday morning, so it was to be expected. I like that we were only a block from the beach, so we could walk over after our meal. Our server was super cute. She was really sweet and took great care of us. We were all extra hungry, so we ordered an extra plate of biscuits and gravy along with our meals. I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict with avocado and hash browns. Everything was hot and delish. Our coffee cups never got more than half empty before refills were poured. Overall, this was an enjoyable little spot for some great food!

Beachside cafe is great for breakfast. I have enjoyed everything that I have ever ordered from their menu. My husband doesn't even really like breakfast, but he loves their skillets. This is our go to breakfast joint on the weekend.
(4)Rachel B.
Excellent service and food! Corned beef hash was amazing! French toast, eggs, and hash browns were also very delicious! They have franks and Tabasco hot sauces available. They are very popular so you may have to wait in line to be seated but lines do move fast. They accept credit cards- pay up front.

Ate here yesterday around lunch time with a party of 3. We were able to sit down right away and our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was full for the most part, a nice atmosphere still regardless. We didn't wait too long for our food, my sister had the salmon eggs Benedict and my girlfriend had the breakfast sandwich both of which they liked. I had the hash breakfast meal which was real good, also love the rye bread they have so I enjoyed it. The food wasn't amazing so hence the 3 stars. I would come back again though.

We were in the area and stopped by this place, basing out decision on positive reviews and proximity to the beach. It's not very large and is clearly family oriented. Our server was very nice and friendly. My husband ordered country fried steak skillet and I ordered avocado and spinach skillet. Both were great! Mine was a bit cold (I assumed it was waiting in the window for a minute). The portions are huge! I couldn't finish most if mine... Will definitely come back there if I'm in the area again.

Homestyle, Americana diner. Small and lively with great staff and friendly people. Beach is a 2 minute walk away. Indoor and outdoor dining. Coffee is good. Son loved the place.
(5)John M.
Good food and nice people. Check it out. Had salad with lots of grilled chicken, tuna salad sandwich and really onion rings. All good.
(5)Kimberly B.
We have been here for breakfast twice. It is a small local diner atmosphere. Tons of egg selections. You can walk here from the beach. The staff is friendly. Both experiences were good, not amazing. They bake their own bread & my husband raved about the rye toast. The hash browns were crispy, which was a plus. Skip the bathroom.
(4)Jenny H.
Pretty great breakfast good at a really great price - most entrees are about $8. I love eggs Benedict and was excited to see at least 10 different versions on the menu. Hollandaise sauce was perfect. Small place, and tables are close together, but expected for beachside. Staff was very nice. Overall, very good experience.

We went for breakfast on Sunday morning. The restaurant was busy but our wait wasn't long. Started with good strong tasty coffee while reviewing the menu. The food selections were excellent, the quality superb, our server Janet was 5 Star ++++. Although it was busy, we or anyone else never felt rushed or hurried. NOTE: the rye bread toast is a MUST!!! Avacado Skillet = Hang Over Relief. Great Experience

Benedicts Galore. Tight parking and a small diner but well worth it. Right on 5th Ave. before A1A, this place is an amazing place for breakfast. Great service, food and coffee. Always a favorite with me and my business friends. Give it a try when on beachside watching the sun rise on that amazing Atlantic Ocean.
(5)Spencer H.
My new favorite place. It's a diner extraordinaire! Best breakfast I've had and very delighted to see that it's not a "beach side price gouging" philosophy place. Real food. Really GREAT food. Very reasonably priced. Get there early, as there will be a wait on weekend mornings. But trust me. It's soooo worth the wait. I've had from their Benedicts to omelets to sandwiches to their Signature dish - Stuffed French Toast that is to die for. Really great hometown staff that treats you like family or the neighbor down the street. Can't miss out with this one.
(5)Jeff N.
I don't even want to write this review because the place is too busy as it is. Pretty small place but, if there is a line, it goes fairly quickly. Breakfast is amazing. Skillets are impressive and the stuffed French toast really different and great.. Still...it's the sandwiches that keep me coming back. They "roll" their lunch meat (true deli style) and their home made bread is incredible. It's hard for me to order anything but the Luigi (roast beef rolled with coleslaw, provolone, 1,000 Island and horse radish on rye), but the Americano and Ruben/Rachel are all amazing. I actually didn't like the Italian, so there's that. Also, every sandwich comes with a side (not additional $$) and you can pick what you want. Possibly the best onion rings ever. I highly recommend. Worth the wait and one of my favorite sandwiches of all time!

Pumpkin pancakes, Benedict eggs, hash browns, everything here is awesome! You can't go wrong in this place! Nice staff too! Love this place!
(5)April K.
Tried this place for breakfast on a Sunday. It was packed, but we only had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table. The menu was expansive despite being a pretty tiny place. I tried the avocado skillet which was very good. My dad ordered the 'Build Your Own' omelet, which he said was also very good. Fresh squeezed orange juice is like sunshine in a glass. Being a native Floridian, this makes me very happy. I look forward to going again and trying something lunch-y.
(4)Amanda K.
Very cute place. We went this morning for breakfast and the food was good. For 2 people for food & drinks it was under $20 so it was a great value. I had the waffle with fruit and my husband had the pastrami/corned beef omelette. The fruit for the waffle is whatever is in the fruit cup so that was different. But everything was quite tasty & filling. We will be back.

We found this place on YELP, and could not have been more pleased. The server was friendly, and gave her us her honest opinion of the specials. We each went in a different direction, I went with the today's special of catfish, eggs & grits with home made rye toast. Andrea ordered a scramble with avocado, and they let her omit the bacon (I can't understand why...NO bacon???) with no issues. The catfish coating was cornmeal, dry and crispy, just perfectly cooked and the grits were creams and made my mouth happy, as for the rye toast, I am recalling more dense rye bread as the kind I would rather have, this was the Florida version of sourdough, I would order it again. We were there for a fast weekend, and would recommend it to anyone. Beware the place is the size of a postage stamp, and the waiting out in a back hallway is like a sauna, maybe they could put a pitcher of ice water and cups?
(4)Spelunkernaut ..
My favorite place for Saturday morning breakfast. Great service, excellent food and a nice selection of eggs Benedict. They always have some specials that sound so yummy, you have to come back to try them all. The stuffed French toast is sure to please everyone!
(4)Laura D.
Great place for breakfast! We appreciated the variety of options. Loved the customizable breakfast sandwich (bacon egg and cheese croissant was the perfect choice) and breakfast burrito, although the burrito could have used some hot sauce. The hash browns and home fries were better than at most other places. Quick and friendly service. Two thumbs up!
(4)Julie H.
This is the best breakfast I've had in Melbourne. The Eggs Benedict is outstanding. Perfectly cooked egg, toasted muffin, delicious sauce. Perfection. The corned beef hash and eggs was flavorful, wonderfully cooked eggs, just enough yolk to mix with the hash, but not runny. And the homemade rye bread. Chewy and crispy. How do you do that? Mmmmm. Great service, fun surfer feel of the place. Parking in back is free. Prices just right. Love it.
(5)Brian M.
Breakfast is fantastic. Try the homemade rye bread. Great food and prices and service. Parking is in the rear.
(5)Bob M.
Went to the Beachside this morning for breakfast expecting to get the eggs benedict as I always do. Decided to try one of their skillets instead. They have a extensive variety of skillets and eggs benedict. I got the Beachside Skillet, and it was fantastic. It is like having an omlet that is mixed together very well with potatoes added.
(5)Mary R.
Great little local place for breakfast. It was a little hard to find because the map led us to the parking in the back and it wasn't well marked. Fortunately we figured it out before we gave up. A little small but we didn't have to wait. Staff was friendly and provided a good level of service. The menu had a great variety with a few twists that you wouldn't see on a chain restaurant menu. Our meals arrived quickly. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. We would definitely return!
(4)Julie R.
Big menu - lots of options. Had breakfast with the family. I had the California Benedict which was really good. My husband had the country skillet which was enough food for two people and he wouldn't recommend it. All in all it is an average breakfast joint - not the best in town but pretty decent.
(3)Danielle S.
Diner food but excellent diner food. Strong coffee, super fast and great portions and price. Breakfast all day. We had great French toast, veggie omelet, oj, toast, hash browns, eggs, sausage and bacon. Staff was great, very friendly honest hardworking. Played and interacted with my 2 year old. Perfect diner.
(5)Marie T.
Excellent breakfast and great service. Tried a breakfast bowl with bacon, peppers, eggs, sausage etc. Absolutely delicious and beyond filling. Not a large seating area so need to get there early if have larger group Highly recommend
(5)Lora N.
They know how to make a benedict! And their homemade bread is just awesome. Expect a few minutes wait on the weekends but totally worth it... Highly recommend!
(5)Craig J.
The reviews are right. Great food and great service. Locals must know this spot for breakfast.
(5)Brandon S.
Great little breakfast/early lunch diner on A1A, just steps from the beach (hence the name). Great selection of breakfast staples. Friendly, attentive service. Parking around back only. Open from 7am-2pm everyday. Accepts credit cards.
(4)Darin C.
Stopped in for breakfast. French toast was good but wife had a Skillet. The thing was massive and very good. If you are in the area I highly recommend this place for breakfast.
(4)Julie R.
I ate here twice while in FL. The first time was incredible. I arrived about 10 and the cafe was about half full. I ordered the stuffed french toast with only strawberries, as I dislike bananas, and it was fantastic! I don't know what they use to coat the toast, but I think it is infused with crack! The "small" orange juice was actually pretty large and only $2 for what was obviously fresh squeezed. If I had stopped there, I would have given a 5 star review. That meal was so good that I returned a few days later about 1pm for lunch. The cafe had two other customers and no waitresses, just the guy manning the register. I ordered the ham & cheese stuffed toast. That was a VERY different experience. The coating was still incredible, and the juice fresh, but the rest left A LOT to be desired. The filling was minimal. I could have dealt with that if it hadn't been for the hollandaise. I was really looking forward to that. I adore hollandaise - but not this hollandaise! It tasted NOTHING like hollandaise is supposed to taste - buttery, lemony and salty. It tasted...like....chicken gravy! And not even GOOD chicken gravy at that! It tasted like chicken gravy out of a can! I called my server over and complained. He seemed a little offended and shrugged the whole thing off with, "it's the same as we always serve, and we opened the can fresh this morning." I was appalled. CANNED HOLLANDAISE IS AN ABOMBINATION! He half-heartedly offered to replace the hollandaise with a sauce of my choice, but since I seriously doubted he'd let me in the kitchen to make my own hollandaise, (it's not hard), I declined. I did order a plain slice of french toast. It arrived cold, unbuttered, and without powdered sugar. I didn't eat it. Nor did I have the energy to send it back. At this point, it was apparent to all that I'd worn out my welcome. I got a to go box and left. Alas, my visit ended before I had a chance to make fresh hollandaise and rescue my sandwich. So...my recommendation is a hearty "yes" on the fruit stuffed french toast and the orange juice. However, do not, under any circumstances, order anything on the menu involving hollandaise sauce! Oh, and they share the parking in the back with the sefood restaurant next door. I forget the name, but theirs is the name on the lot, not Beachside Cafe. Don't park in the surf shop lot that is also in the back. It makes them cranky.

I went to Beachside Cafe on Saturday morning and had a great experience. It's small so you may have to wait but it's worth it. The staff are all very nice and attentive, the service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I ordered one of the specials: egg, spinach & avocado (minus the bacon) croissant. I asked the server if she recommended the home fries or hash browns and she recommended the home fries so I ordered those and I'm so glad I did. They were cooked perfectly with onions and the right amount of seasoning. My croissant sandwich was more like an omelet served on a croissant! The spinach - fresh, not frozen - was folded into the egg, there were about 6 avocado slices placed on top of that and then paremsan cheese was sprinkled on top of everything. The veggies were very bright and obviously fresh making for a very flavorful meal, all for about 7.50, and I couldn't even finish it. My friend got a skillet with country-fried steak, a bunch of other types of meat, home fries, cheese, all smothered in sausage gravy. Simply stated, I think she was in Heaven. I'd definitely go again if/when I'm in the area.

I was on my way to the airport and thought I'd have time to grab a quick bite before my flight. Scanning the menu I see burrittos. Yes! quick, easy, portable. I order a breakfast burritto with ham, egg, cheese, peppers, onion, and mushrooms. 20mins later, I get my burritto. 20mins for a burritto? Really? Maybe they are busy in the kitchen? but theres only a few other tables in here...humm Well, its here so I must start eating, FAST! It was OK. Nothing special. I've personally made better breakfast burrittos at home. This one had a little too much cheese for my liking. And I dont like my scrambled eggs laying flat like a pancake...you cant really taste em that way. The potatoes were greasy and lacked flavor. Just sauted potatoes with some salt on them. (see picture) $13 + tip for a breakfast burritto, a small side of potatoes, and a apple juice. A bit pricey in my opinion. Overall, I wasnt impressed. I think there are better breakfast options near by.
(2)Mary L.
It's my favorite breakfast joint in Melbourne. The stuffed french toast is to die for but it's so big you should really share with a friend. The staff is friendly and always helpful. It is crazy busy on the weekend but it is worth the wait!
(5)Brent M.
Try this place if you are nearby. I think they will have something to your taste. I enjoyed their home made muffin and eggs benedict that was everything you'd hope for. Other tables had meals that looked as good as mine tasted.
(4)Holly B.
Great little cafe for breakfast. My husband and I went here a few weeks ago and had breakfast. I had the eggs Benedict with tomatoes with a side of hash browns and a chocolate chip pancake and my husband had waffles with strawberries. Nice beach atmosphere, tables or booths, good food and great service.
(4)Jaime S.
Food is excellent, locals favorite, just be patient because the food can take a while to get and sometimes it takes while to sit down. But it's worth it.

I'm really glad to hear that the Fusco's sold this place, otherwise I would never return. Under new ownership comes the promise of a better experience. This was a place my ex husband favored and we ate here nearly every weekend for a few years. I would have to nitpick my order just to ensure it didn't come to the table completely botched. For example I would have to say I liked my scrambled eggs dry or they would be oozing. The chicken sandwich always had weird rubbery parts on it and too much chicken on the bun. I would ask for no onions in the potatoes and every time they would add onions anyhow. Finally I told the same server we had nearly every time that if onions came with the potatoes I would send them back. It had been forgiven too many times. She said "well Luigi cooks them on the grill with onions" and my mouth almost dropped. A poor excuse for a lazy chef. Lazy is a bit harsh considering he did most of the cooking but he could have always hired help. When your product suffers because you're swamped then it's an indication to pad the staff. When I used to eat here there was one server (the one we had most times) that did the bulk of the food prep while the other girls just kind of scraped by. It seemed almost insulting how much work she put into the job while they others didn't help out. Under the Fusco ownership, a server there mentioned that Luigi rarely cleaned the iced tea machine and it looked pretty bad. That was horrible because I ordered that every time. I also had to ask for it in a to-go cup because the plastic cups they used tasted like bleach. The same server also told me about the time the Fuscos considered charging people for the jelly and sugars. Lucky for them they were talked out of it but that says a lot about how they viewed their customer base. Based on the current reviews, it's clear to me that new ownership is probably working in their favor and I'd like to go back and try it out again, It's very difficult to find time considering the hours, or have those changed?

I am a local and my husband and I love eating here. We have eaten here for breakfast and lunch. Great food. Definitely take time to go here.
(5)Danny F.
Found this on Yelp and am so happy. Ordered the Greek Skillet and the flavors are just awesome! The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Give The Beach Side Cafe a try!
(5)Gredy S.
I came to this place after reading the reviews. I wasn't impressed with the food, it was okay, just average. The service is fast, but the waitress never check back to see if we needed refills.
(2)Kim C.
We were in Melbourne for a wedding from out of town. This restaurant was recommended by the hotel where we stayed. We enjoyed it so much, we invited our parents to join us when we returned the next day. The stuffed french toast was other worldly. Be prepared to be full for the remainder of the day and to hear your arteries harden it was so rich. The eggs were light and fluffy and the home fries were incredible. The wait staff only made the experience better. You'll want to tip them. You won't be disappointed if you give it a try. Extra benefit, within walking distance of the ocean.
(5)Michael D.
I can't believe we've never been here before. The breakfast was amazing, and I'm not even a big fan of breakfast food. Generous portions, fast and friendly service. We will be going back often.
(5)Becky C.
Great breakfast joint. Nothing that stands out as being spectacular compared to other breakfast places, but the food was good and the service fast. Corned beef hash was cooked on the grill just long enough to be crispy on the outside. Hash browns are also delicious. My friend had the stuffed french toast which she thought was great. It's a pretty small place and they turn over tables quickly, but i wouldn't recommend it for a large group.
(4)K H.
You cannot go wrong eating here even if you have to wait for a table. I love their Eggs Benedict because they get it right every time. I often meet friends here and no one has been disappointed. Great atmosphere, great coffee, really pleasant wait staff and worth the drive and the wait if need be.
