I usually go to Starbucks, but I decided to try a small local place today. Stopped in to grab coffee to go. I ordered and iced mocha. What I received was more of a frappaccino type drink, which was fine. Flavor was mediocre at best. The major problem here is the price. Just over $5 for what would be a "tall" at Starbucks! I have no problem paying a little more for good coffee but when I can get a venti (triple the size of what I got here- and better coffee!) for the same price it does not make me happy. I guess I know why I was the only person in this establishment.

Tried it before and was alright. Figured I'd give it another try since the owners and name changed. This time around it was really good. Had the Shakshouka, Israeli breakfast dish consisting of a mild to spicy tomato salsa with eggs cooked inside. As any fan of this dish will tell you, good quality Shakshouka is rare. This place was up there. Served with vegetable salad, bread, and tahini sauce, I must say it's one of the top Shakshoukas I've had in South Florida. Went here on 2 occasions. Our table also ordered the salmon burger and wasn't very pleased. Please keep in mind this isn't what you think. The salmon burger is ground salmon seasoned and make into a burger, not a salmon fillet. Also ordered the breakfast sandwich with egg and avocado - very good. Overall nice place to checkout for breakfast. Oh yea, the orange juice is fresh squeezed which definitely adds points.

My boyfriend and I like to try new restaurants usually on a weekly basis. So we decided that today after our morning walk we would have breakfast and try a new place so we came here to urban cafe. It's beautifully quaint the service is excellent and the must try is the urban panini, it has a mixture of eggplant, sauce and sweet potato.. great flavors together, and the garlic dill sauce as a dipping sauce was awesome. Also the Israeli salad was fresh and had a clean taste. This place needs to be on your list of "new places to eat". Enjoy.

My family and I shared a delightful lunch here. We found a great selection of healthy options, many varieties of refreshing drinks, sushi, and great service. I had the frozen coffee drink made with soy milk. We shared spicy tuna and regular tuna rolls, sweet potato salad (a scrumptious medley of perfect flavors), greek salad, caesar salad, pasta alfredo, and cannoli pasta. Every dish was freshly prepared, very flavorful, and very generous. The manager came around checking on us and making sure everyone was satisfied. We will return again soon.

Drove out of my way to find a non-starbucks option...not easy to find, once I finally pulled in, they're not even open. Best of luck, closed at 10:30am on a weekday. So tired of this crap.

This is a very good kosher dairy restaurant; I've been here a few times and all the visits have met my expectations. The service is fine, the food is great, the atmosphere is upscale casual. I would recommend!

First visit there I had a fresh mozzarella sandwich takeout for lunch and though the $9 price tag had this frugalista's purse howling, the sandwich was awesome. Hot crispy baguette giving way to a soft soft bread with a basil dressing which was tangy and fresh. Nice little place just off the I-95 on Stirling Road with outdoor seating and a contemporary feel. The bread was perfect.

I am not a coffee drinker, but I come here because their coffee absolutely makes me swoon. And the fact that they can prepare a cappucino for me with soy milk earns them five stars from me. The love and care they put into preparing it just makes me happy. On a third visit, the coffee could have been warmer, but it was still delicious. I've only ever had the shakshuka with the ciabatta (jabbeta), and it is delicious. It's a bit spicy than I've had it with friends, but that just makes it better to suit my tastes! The bread is perfectly baked - nice crusty exterior, wonderful interior and wonderfully toasted. They had a moroccan fish on the lunch menu the day I went and I'm dying to try it. Definitely on my list of local favs now. Finally.

I've been eyeing this place for months, but never had the time to stop in on my way to work. Today I had a few minutes and have been craving a bagel so I had to stop in. Sadly, all my dreams of a fabulous bagel shop right on the way to my office were crushed by this place. First, one would think that by the name - Urban Rustic BAGEL - it would be an overflowing abundance of bagels, which was not the case. Instead there were about 20 bagels total in a rack behind the counter and consisted of plain, poppy, ET, sesame and possibly a wheat. The menu is more focused (oddly) on pastas and salads, so the name is quite a throw off. The breakfast menu is quite light - with a few sparse options and little variety. I was looking for a breakfast sandwich, of which there were none. I left feeling like I made a huge mistake, and that was BEFORE I even ate my food. I got a 3 cheese bagel, which was just a toasted ET bagel and 3 flavors of cream cheese on the site. Total - $6.89. Insane considering a bagel with cream cheese is $2.89 so I paid $2 for each additional cream cheese side. There was a strange feel to the place, as if I'd walked into somewhere I shouldn't be. The owner stared at me and had an attitude because I was asking questions about the menu. I was happy to get out of there and hoping my food was much better than the experience. It was not. The bagel was thin and stale - a frozen lender's bagel would've curved my craving better. I ate one of the cream cheeses, the other two are in the trash. A complete waste of money and time.

This place is amazing. The orange juice is my favorite. It tastes like I'm drinking a real orange. I had the shakshuka - which is a poached egg in a roasted veggie sauce - which comes with a fresh baguette. It's to die for. The sauce has a slight kick to it and the baguette is hot out of the oven. I wish there was one of these in Chicago - I'd be there everyday. The price is a little high - but totally worth it.

It is Monday morning. I yelped this and really wanted a bagel. The hours say they open at 7am m-f. The open sign is on. No one is in there and it's obviously not open. Not cool.

The food and atmosphere were very good. A nice place to come to relax. The price was slightly more than I wanted to pay, but overall it was a wonderful experience.

This restaurants food is awful. The sandwich bread was hard and stale. The egg salad was very watery and nowhere to be found in the bread. They serve the salads without any dressing. The home fries are way overpriced given the miserable portion served and the poor quality. The service was atrocious. We requested salad dressing multiple times and never got it. Awful experience, will never return.

Let be start by saying that the food was great--both the french toast and bruschetta we ordered were very tasty. The whole experience, however, was ruined from the beginning by the rudeness and lack of attentiveness of our waitress. Did not feel welcomed and won't be coming back. Thumbs up to the chef at the sushi bar who was the only staff member who offered us some consideration and a warm smile.

Came in on a Friday morning at 10am, nice little place with seats inside and out. Got myself a cappuccino and they had soy milk available which was a huge plus for me. Cappuccino was great, little milk design, and the music was very nice. Will go again!

Israeli cafe that serves breakfast lunch and dinner. And sushi by Gabriel! Free wifi. Places to sit inside and outside. Plus I love the extra service here. The owner is so inviting, which I am noticing about Israeli people. And today I got a free taste of limon-nana. Which is my favorite. Off to finish the rest of my food, nom nom! Next time will back for brunch and to enjoy my local neighborhood cafe. Try this place!

Wonderful breakfast, fresh ingredients, and excellent expresso drinks. This comfortable Israeli cafe has made my Sunday morning a delight. Free wifi allowed me to watch @ihopegprayer, my church's Sunday service while enjoying a great cup of coffee outside on the covered patio. Great place!!

This place is awesome! The menu is great, so was the pasta and pizza I had ordered. The service is amazing! As in the guy there was so on top of things even with 6 different tables, while providing such a laid back, calm, friendly service/environment. This is a great casual place to go.

What a great find! I was expecting a typical "bagel place" but this is more like a mini bistro or cafe! LOVED it! Everyone at my table ordered something different and raved about. Hope they'll open another location out near me in Plantation where there's also a big Jewish / kosher population; the only thing I don't like about the place is that it's 20 minutes away - if it were closer it would be my "go to" for any time of day!

Urban cafe menu is HUGE. It definitely takes awhile to read through the menu. Food is ok. I ordered a panini and my friend ordered a salad. Both were great for sharing. Portions are generous. Fresh squeezed was tasty, but probably fresher in the morning. Service was wonderful; kind and caring staff. Family-friendly and great for groups or casual lunch date. We did try these delicious fries with a spicy dipping sauce, i can't remember the name but there's only one of those on the menu.

they have just renovated this wonderful place! High ceilings, covered patio, GREAT FOOD, excellent service! Tony, the sushi guy is an outstanding chef and will custom make anything you ask! Gabi the manager is always there to make sure his staff is doing its job! We are regular visitors (husband wife and 4 children) and always like what we get! If you are looking for kosher , clean and dairy, this is the place!

No idea where to begin. I made a very poor decision in picking this place for a business lunch meeting. We arrived at the restaurant and it was empty, assumed we would receive great service. The waiter asked for our drink orders; I had simply asked for water and never received my water. This places serves sushi, yet, they had no tuna. We all placed our orders and I asked again for my water. I was told that she would be right back with my water and of course never did. The people who had joined for the business meeting had placed their orders first. My business partner and I received our food before them. I, for the third time, asked for my water. No one in the restaurant seemed to be attentive or one bit concerned about our service. No sense of urgency for the client. The food was never served to our guests. I never received my water. The bill came .... we were charged for EVERYTHING, including the food that was never served. After telling the waiter of the absurd mistake, she still went ahead and ran the card for the incorrect amount as if it would go unnoticed. I didn't understand the logic behind this action. Of course, it delayed us from leaving this place. No apologized were ever said nor did we ever receive the food as take out. This ended up being very embarrassing for our business meeting. I will be sure to never come back.

Really enjoyed this place. We each had the shaksuka and it was delicious. If I did it again we would have shared one order of shaksuka. It was a little pricey but conveniently located close to the Sheraton where we were staying. Very friendly service.

Really welcoming service. Menu range is very nice with your choice of salads, sandwiches, entrees, pizza, and sushi. Sushi bar on site with endless options. Kosher restaurant. Coffee, juices, and dessert options to round out the menu.

I would like to update my review of this restaurant: I come here regularly for breakfast and I find the food to be very consistent. However, today I had the best shakshuka with humus ever! The service sometimes is slow but they prepare the food on the spot.

Delicious sweet potato salad, large portion. Worth the price. Lunch mate had tuna sandwich, also very good. Bread roll was done just right. Staff very friendly and we just snuck in before closing.

An Israeli cafe with a sushi bar. That's right, I was slightly confused too. When I walked into a cafe that is called "urban rustic cafe" I expect some meat options besides raw fish. Scenically located next to a busy noisy highway. While I visited the front doors were left open so I was delighted to get high from exhaust fumes. As an added bonus they do offer fresh squeezed orange juice which was delicious beside the questionable curly hair located inside of it. I am no crime scene analyst but it may have been a pubic hair. The food was good depending on what you get. I had a croissant sandwich which was very small, so small in fact it would have taken 3 to fill me up. The poached eggs were very good and a good portion size.

Grabbed a quick bite here during a business trip. Low key visit - just a handful of people indoors and out. Service was friendly. The Tunisian tuna sandwich was very tasty which came with a nice side salad. Tuna, preserved lemons, hard boiled eggs and a little spicy sauce on a baguette. Enjoyable! Was able to add a beer which is nice and not always a choice and this kind of restaurant. Overall a good meal. Have to say that I thought it was a bit pricey but the restaurant has kosher certification which may add to the cost.

What a great surprise! I was heading north on 95 and somehow stumbled across this little gem when veering off for food. The first thing you notice are the high ceilings. Right away you're aware that this isn't the junky cafe you expected in this strip mall. The server was very friendly and attentive and the menu was very diverse (Middle Eastern cuisine with Sushi on the back of the menu!). Everything on the menu sounds incredible, but the prices match! I struggled to find anything under $10, and most of the salads are in the $15 range with entrees in the upper teens and twenties. I had the daily soup (I can never turn down lentil soup!) and the hummus and tahini app. Together this was about $14. The soup was as large as if expect an entree soup and it was VERY flavorful. The hummus came with pita and I ordered falafel with it as well. The portions were plentiful and I ended up taking some of it to-go for the road. It tasted authentic and fresh. My fella ordered the sweet potato salad and it was exceptional! Though the sweet potato was served looking like fries over the salad, the did not taste frozen at all, and in fact had that wonderful caramelization that occurs when you roast potatoes correctly (not fried). The Asian dressing and sesame seeds paired perfectly with the goat cheese and the greens were hearty and fresh. Over all, I was absolutely shocked that we had such a great lunch by the Interstate. I expected bad cafe food and was very pleasantly surprised.

I ordered the Tunisian sandwich to take back to work and it was amazing! The mix of flavors with the tuna, pickled lemons(!) and schoug (spicy sauce) was delicious and unexpected. Everything was very fresh and it came with little salad. It's a bit overpriced, but Kosher always is, and it was a big, very fresh, flavorful sandwich.

First off I have read the other reviews on here and I see people commenting on how this place has high prices and way more expensive than Starbucks. This cafe is Jewish Kosher Dairy Certified Highest level of Kosher you can get. So you cannot really compare it to a Starbucks. Their products from what the server Madeline told me is actually flown in from Israel so that they maintain their highest level of Kosher Certificate and offer this to the Jewish people in the Hollywood area. It is a specialty restaurant and therefore their prices are higher because of this reason. I ate the Gnocchi with Rose sauce and a Limonana (Israeli Lemonade) it was absolutely delicious and the serving was very generous. It was well worth the price and their Limonana is AMAZING!!! My server was Madeline and she was so nice and attentive, she made sure I was taken care of from beginning to end. Great service! I will definitely go back again. Additionally I have to say the atmosphere when you walk in is so amazing, I feel so much peace when I eat here it is really strange but true! Love it!

Delicious! Great service, food is always fresh. I go here often. Every time its really good. Slightly pricey i would say, but the portions are big. Always have a panini, but want to try everything.

My favorite thing about this place was how kind the wait staff was. They would sit down with you talk about the different items they had. They were also pretty attentive. I was also pleased by how large the menu was. I had come here hoping for a quick breakfast but unfortunately it took so long for the food to come out that we had to leave. We asked them to pack the food to go and as soon as we asked that the food appeared on the counter. As it turns out we would have been able to eat faster than they packed the food. We watched them pack it slowly and talk for about 10 minutes. It may be that the waiter was asking to discount us, or that they were trying to figure out something going on the kitchen, but in the end we just ended up a bit later and had to run out as soon as the box came. The food was good anyways. If I had a lot of time I would come here again.

Had the french toast and tuna salad there. The frensh toast came with honey and sour cream. The sour cream taste like a sweet yoguart, match really well with the chaliah french toast. It wont leave you feel sugar loaded and fat afterward. The tuna salad has the perfect amount of dressing and seasoning. The tuna is same as everywhere else, but the imported black olives were amazingly delicious and brings the whole salad to life. I would give a 5 star if it wasn't for the price. $8 for 1.5 slices of toast and $12 for a medium size salad with no sides really leave you hungry afterwards. This should be labeled with at list $$ on yelp instead of $

I have dined there 3 times with 3 different experiences. The food is good, not superb, but the service is horrendous. The last time they completely forgot about us, we left after 30 min of sitting there; no offers to get a drink, order, or just to say it will be a moment. Never wasting my time there again. Far too expensive to be treated that way.

On Thurs., 5/29/2014 we were a party of 12 for a b-day celebration. We love Dominique. Due to error, waited 45 mins for our sushi to get to table due to the server (owner) delivered a sushi order to wrong guest that was specially made with no seaweed. That caused us to wait 20 more minutes for our last order of sushi to be served; not Dominique's fault. As we were still eating and wanting to have dessert, the owner asked one of our guests (b-day person) if they could have one of our tables for another party, immediately that decision resulted in our not getting dessert for the birthday celebration. It was really inconvenient and the owner even admitted that he was being "Israeli now!" Who makes comments like this? If it were not for Dominique being there this restaurant would not have the #1 Sushi Chef in South Fla., therefore, we will continue to go there for sushi. Being better prepared and not sacrificing a large party's convenience for a party of 3 is just not a wise decision!!!

Ok bagel + good coffee - odd atmosphere = maybe great for others but not my thing So I have been here quite a lot in the past month because of business. I loved that there was a bagel place so close to where I was staying. They served great coffee and the times that they did have the kind of bagels I wanted they were good. The place is pretty much always empty and its just kinda an odd vibe when you go in. I might have been going at the wrong time but still. They didn't have bagels I liked the past few times (small selection) so I don't think I will be going back much. But it really is a good spot especially if you want something more than a bagel. Their sandwiches look awesome

Breakfast report: awesome! It's not a fast place (Israeli's like to take their time), but it's top quality preparation. The breads and bagels were fresh, side salads for breakfast were delicious, and the egg dishes we had were super flavorful. I had a new dish for me - eggs under thick tomato sauce - that was unbelievably tasty. Latte was much better than Starbucks, for sure. Surprised to have such a cool place in the area. Highly recommended!

I had an excellent sabich, with fried eggplant, egg spread, and cheese on a jabette whole wheat baguette, recommended by Shemi. I also had a tasty espresso. The bread and the portion size were perfect. This is a Kosher dairy restaurant, so it's vegetarian-friendly, which is exactly what I wanted. I go past this restaurant when I am driving from Miami to Fort Lauderdale Airport, and that's infrequent, but I plan to get food here, or at Pita Plus (also Kosher), down the road. Urban Rustic has an Israeli-style menu that I find intriguing and I want to try more from it. The Sabich was a revelation. Tip - you must enter this restaurant's parking lot from the Mobil station just to the east, so it can be a little tricky. They had a banner on the fence facing the off-ramp from the north-bound freeway to Stirling Road, so that's how you can find them.

Went there for lunch and service was HORRIBLE. Server offered us mint water, with one cup. So we said we would have that and he never brought my friends a cup... so throughout our lunch i was the only one with something to drink. Also, was never asked how we liked the food or checked up on. Was the most un personable place I have ever been to. None of us will not be going there ever again.
