This used to be known as Wings and Curls and is a Hollywood institution. If you love wings and consider yourself an expert on quality of wings you can't go wrong. They do a lot of variety of wings and they're all delicious. The curly fries are great also. The other food is OK and occasionally they forget something in takeout so always check before you leave. If there's a better place in South Florida for wings I would have heard of it!

Well first time someone do you wrong its shame on them. If you allow them to do it again it's shame on you. I went to Tom n J (formerly wings n curls) a while back because I LOVE their wings. I ordered a 10 Pc medium sauce all flats with granulated garlic and fries for takeout while on my 30 minute lunch. When I got back to my job 5 mins away low and behold I could only eat the fries because my wings had blood coming out of sum of them. I called them and the GM (Harris) told me to bring them back with the receipt and he would replace them. I starved for the rest of the day took them back at the end of my workday. Instead of getting more wings I got my money back. Forward a year or so I try my best to forgive but not forget and I ordered AGAIN on my 30 min lunch the same exact order along with my coworker who wanted HOT all flats granulated garlic. Tammy took my order and read my order back to me correctly. The chef must be high, drunk, and/or illiterate because BOTH were prepared as HOT in which I could not eat. I called up there and Tammy read the order to me after I told her I got the wrong food. I asked to speak to the mgr and of course he doesn't come in until after 5 pm and she said she'd let me speak to the next best person. A nice lady named Valerie got on the phone, I asked her position and she explained that she is a close friend/bookkeeper to Joe, the owner. I explained my issue and she apologized and told me she'd write down my name and number and I could get a lunch meal on her. Forward again to 2 weeks and Joe the owner tells me she gave the wrong info and all I could get is a 50% discount because I was suppose to save the wings and bring them back to them for them to be replaced. I've spent $10 each time for BAD food and he really told me he'd give me a "discount" on some food. I THINK NOT. I drove to WINGS N CURLS in MARGATE and spent my money there and was VERY SATISFIED!!!

Smiley and the wait staff are always extremely helpful, always nice and smiling. The clan chowder is a great appetizer to go with your hot wings with fresh garlic, curly fries, and blue cheese. It's bigger inside than it looks, and the bathrooms are always sparkling clean.

It's been about 2 years since we've been here, and the food was awesome then. Tonight, meh. Service could have been better. She was trying, but everything just fell flat. First of all, for a Tuesday night the entire restaurant had 4 tables occupied, so there was no reason for us not to get silverware. Hubby had to get up and ask for it at the front desk, which required him to stand there and wait for it for nearly 4 minutes. He was handed two sets of wet silverware settings. Gee thanks. Good thing there's napkins on the table for us to dry them ourselves. We ordered buffalo shrimp appetizer. It is processed frozen prebreaded fantail shrimp tossed in hot sauce. It is NOT hand breaded, housemade shrimp that you would even get from Hooters. Also, no blue cheese sauce is included. The wings were good, just as we remembered. We ordered them with hot sauce. The curly fries were fine. No salt on them, so we added it at the table. I ordered a side of cheese sauce for dipping the fries. It is served in a plastic cup and barely warm. After 3 mins it cooled and turned into a blob. I asked the server to please rewarm it to a hotter temperature. She returned with another fresh plastic cup of barely warm cheese sauce. Ugh! Obviously these are proportioned in plastic cups and the kitchen can't microwave them for longer then 15 seconds. Correct cooking/warming of cheese sauce would be in a pot, then ladle in a cup for the order. I ordered the chicken tenders with medium buffalo sauce. Chicken tenders were large, juicy and good. They looked and tasted Homemade. However, they were not tossed in the hot sauce. Sauce was on the side. Ugh again. Kitchen was totally being lazy tonight! I tried dipping it in the hot sauce but it was too strong. So I just drizzled the sauce over and tossed it myself on my plate. Server brought us the check but didn't tell us that we had to pay up front. So we sat there waiting and getting irritated because she wouldn't take our card and cash us out. Miscommunication!! The gentleman at the register, either the owner or the manager, seemed clueless or tired. He wasn't engaged, had zero interest except for going thru the motions of taking our money.

I've been coming to this place for YEARS, like when it was still wings and curls and I've (almost) never have been disappointed. Although this place is obviously known for wings and curly fries... The rest of the menu is amazing!! The wings are the best I've had in South Florida! It's my go-to when wings are calling muh name. They have a great family meal and great lunch specials! The chicken ceasar wrap is fantabulous and so is the philly. I would personally stay away from the blue cheese burger as they use their blue cheese dressing rather than blue cheese crumbles which was disappointing. But the burger itself was good. The 4 rather than 5 stars is mostly due to decor and the stale smell in the carpet. Don't get me wrong it's always clean but a little update would be nice. Update: walked in today and to my surprise the stale carpet was gone! The food is still great and served superfast!

I love chicken wings in general, but I CRAVE wings from Tom and J's! Since mine and my boyfriend's first visit a few months ago we've been back several times. What keeps us coming back for more is their fast service, perfectly cooked wings, spicy waffle fries and the best damn bleu cheese dressing I've ever had. They have tons of great specials (see menu pics I posted) which makes going out to dinner super affordable, especially for large groups. Keep up the good work Tom and J's!

I have been coming to this restaurant for about 10 years now...since they were called Wings and Curlz and I've seen them go through different management. The thing is that nothing much changes...not even the staff! And this is a good thing. I've come to really enjoy their wings and fries and they have been true in keeping the same recipes. Now, the place is old but it is still homie and comfortable. This is the type of restaurant where the staff treats you so well and even the next table strikes a conversation with you. I really enjoy coming here and only reason I don't come here more often is because the only thing I ever order is wings but they are fried. I try to limit my fried food intake to a minimum. I should tell you that even though they have different sauces, and my wife enjoys the bbq ones, I always order them Hot.

Maybe I'm getting old and cranky, but I feel a responsibility to yelpers worldwide to tell it like it is. I had not been to this place in years, but happened to be in Hollywood for the night, so I figured I would check it out. They should have stayed closed. I had a large order of wings, hot bbq, green bean fries, and curls. I arrived only to be "greeted" by Emo Girl who was actually sitting in the waiting area texting when I arrived. She could not have been less interested in serving me. I placed my order which was ready in about 10 minutes. In the meantime, I perused the area...the dining room looked really dirty. The emotionless manager then brought out my order, asked me for my receipt, and I left without a see ya, good night, enjoy your dinner, go $%^ yourself or anything. So, I was back to my hotel in less than 5 minutes. The wing sauce was nasty, and they were in a pool of it. The wings were not seasoned at all. The blue cheese smelled off. The curls were straight from the freezer, again, not seasoned. The kind of fries you'd find at a place that only serves fries with kids meals. The fried green beans were shocking. I suspect they have a chicken fryer, a fry fryer, and an everything else fryer. Dear Management, please change the oil in the everything else fryer. These were definitely prepared in dirty oil. I love bar food, especially wings and fries, this place left me feeling violated! I suspect we'll be seeing Tom and J's on Kitchen Nightmares before too long.

Good food for a decent price. We've done take out several times and always had a good experience. This place will suit you especially if you like fried stuff and burgers. Wings are great too.

I went to pick up some wings from there today to try them out. The building still says "Wings 'N Curls" on the outside of the building and from my understanding "Wings 'N Curls" has been closed for months. I also have never eaten at the prior place so I can't speak to that. I ordered wings to go and got the spicy wings. The girl behind the counter was very pleasant I was home in less then 5 minutes; so I cannot be blamed for a bad review by people saying it sat in the car for too long. When I opened them at home they were still nice and hot. The chicken was also drenched in hot sauce (Not a big deal because it may add to the flavor) I thought it strange that they packed a very small container of Blue Cheese for the amount of wings I ordered. The celery was loosely wrapped in Saran Wrap and the celery was already brown. I had 1 piece of chicken and didn't like it. I was starving so I decided I may as well finish at least half of the 15 pieces. I had a couple of more pieces and just couldn't believe this place sells wings that are this bad. I ended up just throwing the other 12 wings away. I don't understand why a place that sells chicken wings as it's primary name doesn't put any effort on cooking chicken wings the way people like them. FYI I have been getting chicken wings from Pizza Hut the last few days and they are soooooo much better; and I don't even eat pizza but once in a rare while. I believe this place kept the name of the original place so people think it's still as good as the Yelpers made it out to be. I would not eat there again and I am pretty sure this place is not going to last. If by chance the owners of this place read this article, I have a couple of suggestions. 1. Change the name to something not related to wings; that is really not what you are good at. 2. If you want to focus on wings; don't deep fry wings then put flavor on there; That is what bars do that don' t have the know-how or care about chicken wings. Try "baking" the chicken wings and add the flavor in that process. There are only 1 type of deep fried wings and those are Buffalo Chicken Wings, but that is one flavor. Other flavors that you sell shouldn't be battered and deep fried they should be made the way they are supposed to be made.
