What's up with the four and five stars, people? Maybe you are reviewing the old Nakorn on Hollywood Blvd. This place went down hill the moment they moved. The place has a clientele, in part because it's next to a hotel and in part because the food couldn't be more middle of the road if it were served on asphalt tables. The Thai food is not Thai and it's not good, either. The sushi is not fresh. The service is mediocre and the new locale is just big with zero atmosphere. I'd rather drive 7+ miles to go and have good Thai in Fort Lauderdale.

***I was looking to eat at Sushi Blues, but luckily found this restaurant instead!*** Great sushi! I'd been hearing about Sushi Blues so much, me and my bf drove to Hollywood to try it, but it was closed. So we walked by this one, and decided we'd give it a try. Very good sushi! Some other day, we finally made it to Sushi Blues, and it was good, but I liked Nakorn Thai better. They don't have the live music thing, and Sushi Blues is darker (sexier), but the sushi at Nakorn is better.

We took a friend for her birthday lunch here this week, and I was very impressed with the staff of Nakorn Thai. I walked in and asked them if they wouldn't mind serving the small cake that I brought, and not only did they agree, they put candles on the cake, and got my friend's name so they could sing to her ... I know that this shouldn't be that big of a deal, but they really were super sweet about the whole thing. The food was very good ... I got the lunch pad thai, which comes with a soup and one spring roll ... yum. The portion was perfect for lunch, and very reasonable. I'm looking forward to trying the restaurant again for dinner!

Found this place a couple of months ago and have been coming back ever since. The Sunomono is probably some of the best i've ever had. Red Dragon roll is another one of my favorites. I highly recommend this place to locals and tourists

I'm not a fan of curry nor spicy food...but WOW! The curry chicken was ridiculously amazing!!! I kept stealing food off my boyfriend's plate :D Must try!

Good, friendly staff. The shrimp pad thai is amazing. I have to go easy on the spice (and like the shrimp tails removed for me-- have to ask when ordering). Great place to eat. They have sidewalk dining right on Harrison St. if you want to get outdoors (also a nice, comfortable inside area).

Best Thai in a while! Loved the Massaman curry. I've ordered it a few times take out and it's crave worthy!

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in south Florida. They never disappoint.

Another Thai/Japanese win win. We started off with edamame and steamed shrimp dumplings. Both were pleasing. I had shrimp pad thai for dinner and it was delicious and huge. The shrimp were especially flavorful. I have to mention that this restaurant did a lovely job with presentation. We skipped dessert but next time, it's on. IF you have the chance sit outside.

This is our 'go to' sushi place. Never had anything we didn't like. We eat here either take out or eat in at least once a month. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Decor is beautiful. Enough space to bring our baby stroller to the table. Out door seating is great too.

We have only tested the Thai food at this place so I can not speak for the sushi menu, but the That food is excellent. Some four or five outside tables on the sidewalk makes for great outdoor dining on the pleasantly quiet Harrison Street, just of the main drag of Hollywood Boulevard. The mandatory Tom Yum Goong soup and Pad Thai are delicious but what really stands out to me is the seafood. All we've tried has been good but I especially recommend Seafood Basil. Great place to start the evening before heading over to one of the two wine bars on the same street.

came back recently. damn good! their menu looks brand new. shiny and with lots of pictures. shared some shrimp dumplings. awesome ponzu sauce. got some frog legs. delicious. give those frog legs a shot. you will love them! very meaty, deep fried ... so kinda crunchy. comes on a sweet sauce. wow. frogs are good. eat them. oh we also shared the chicken curry. coconut milk based. spicy the way it came. only ask for extra spicy if you really like it spicy. oh and we also shared a bottle of cold sake and paid 50$ for the whole thing. great place for a delicious meal!

Me and my girlfriend decided to randomly try this place. She had been looking for some good Thai food and sushi and we found it here. The food was great, the sushi was amazing! I frickin' loved this place and it will be one of my new favorite places for a long time!

Great food... I've eaten here twice and ordered delivery several times, all were delicious. I really like the Thai curries.

I adore their peanut sauce, I lick my bowl clean! We come here for a cheap lunch to share the veggie pad thai and a house salad or for a dinner with duck curry and a 'fired' up red snapper. It's close, affordable, friendly, and ever so tasty. Great for an night out with a small group of friends, fun with some sake and shared rolls (kamake roll is different and good for non-sushi eaters, though a very western take). Whenever friends ask, "where should we go for dinner tonight?" I immediately reply, "Well, locally, Nakorn is really your only option." So there! and P.S. they are catering our wedding...

I've been to Nakorn several times and I've had a great experience each and every time. It has a nice intimate ambiance, the lunch specials are fantastic, and all the waitresses are sweet and incredibly hospitable. You can't beat this place for ambiance, service, value, and flavor.

This will have to be my favorite place in the Hollywood and Aventura area. The inside is really cool and trendy, the staff is super helpful and the food is AMAZING. Try the red curry beef for a party in your mouth. I was addicted to their fresh squeezed lemonade. Wow my mouth just waters when thinking of this place. I used to come to this place almost everyday when i worked in Hollywood. They have lots of great dishes to choose from, their soup before the meal is great but the food is the star here. This new location has lots of flat screen tvs to watch while you eat at the sushi bar too.

I decided to give Nakorn another try because let's face it the food is always consistently good. I actually was served by the aforementioned bitch waitress in my other reviews and she was actually nice. Color me surprised!!

So far, this is the best place around! Im only giving it 4 stars cause they dont really have the fresh summer rolls that Im on the hunt for. Ya know, the rice paper, basil, tofu, carrots, etc. YUM! All their food is fresh, and service is great. The new location is really pretty too. Im happy that they are doing so well. :)

After suffering through some okay places in Fort Lauderdale while attending an annual conference, I was excited to try some new stuff in Hollywood. I found Nakorn on Yelp and was duely impressed by the food. Both myself and my friend were totally satisfied by the food. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely Florida weather. A sushi app went down in a flash as did plenty of Singha beer. The entrees were great. I had curry and my friend had sashimi. We were both happy with the meal. The chicken could be better, but that is just being overly sensitive. Pros: Tasty food, huge menu Cons: Service seemed spotty Tip: Sushi was great.

Nakorn has a new location on the 1900 block of Harrison Street. The location is good and the decor is very nice. I have been there several times and I've really enjoyed the food. It is a Thai restaurant with sushi, for some reason many South Florida restaurants link Thai and Japanese cuisines. Most recently I had a delicious meal that was shrimp in a spicy red curry based coconut milk sauce. My only complaint is that the warm sake didn't really have flavor, I wasn't impressed. For those who drink cold sake there's a good selection so my guess is that Nakorn will rate highly there. I'd actually prefer to give 4 1/2 stars but that's not available.

The service was awful! Our appetizers were ok, then the waiter brought out one entree and continued to deliver food to another table. A few minutes later the waiter brought out another entree and rice for all 5 of us, followed by food delivered to a nearby table. After 5 minutes, the remaining 3 dinners wer served. One was very salty, which the kitchen promptly fixed. Another (massaman curry) was not prepared with ingredients listed on the menu. When it was returned to the kitchen, the waiter informed us that the plate included the ingredients listed. We couldn't find them! After a few minutes, the waiter arrived with a side dish of the missing ingredients. We waited 15 minutes after finishing our meals before the waiter returned. They automatically added 18% to our bill, althought there was no notice on the menu or in the restuarant that this was their policy. We won't be going back. There are better Thai restaurants in the area.

Another standby favorite. I have been coming to Nakorn for years, even when it was known as the "Red Thai Room" and Hollywood Blvd. was a little less "cool" and a lot more interesting. In typical SoFlo fashion, Nakorn has a sushi counterpart housed next door so you can get your fill of Thai/Japanese cuisine all in the convenience of one location. Nakorn has an outstanding pineapple fried rice (I have yet to find a better one). Not too oily and generous with the shrimp!

Our group of three adults and two kids taxied over to Nakorn to break up a long airport layover. We ordered avocado rolls (fresh), volcano chicken (fun presentation), pad thai (should've asked for spicy), and a tofu something or other for the tofu-loving vegetarians (they just picked at it but hey they're five so who knows). At first we were quite satisfied: interesting menu choices, quick service, generally tasty food -plus a brown rice option which I always appreciate. BUT, the whole thing fell apart at the end when I saw one of the servers exit a bathroom stall WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS. Gross. I guess it happens more often than I'd like to think but that doesn't make it okay. Minus all kinds of stars.

Had dinner on a Monday night and were really pleased with our entire meal. Appetizers of lightly battered squid rings and a duo of sushi both were executed quite nicely. For our entrees, I had a shrimp pad Thai and my dinner guest had an Asian frog leg special. The pad Thai was very flavorful with a generous serving of shrimp and perfectly cooked noodles. The frog leg dish was good, also, but it was a tad on the oily side. Not sure if that's just a part of the frog leg experience in general or if the oiliness was the result of the preparation. Either way, it was a nice take on frog legs. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and couldn't have been more accommodating. But we did wait a bit for our appetizers and again for our entrees. But nothing too far from the norm. All in all, this place seems as if it's a really good local 'go to' spot for standard Thai and sushi favorites. Definitely will return.

Really nice little Thai place, hind of hidden since it is not on the main Hollywood blvd, but on Harrison St. For appetizer we had spring rolls and coconut soup with tofu. Let me tell you something... we've tasted many coconut soups before, but the one here is the best we have had in Florida. There is only one place where we had the BEST BEST, which is one little hole in the wall indian place in New York, but the one here was amazing. For entree my wife ordered a curry platter and I ordered the Jasmine-fried rice with shrimp. My dish was huge! Usually we order one thing and split it since we don't like that full-glut feeling, but hey... we both ate as much of we could of our own dish and each other's, and we felt super full. We also both had two beers, and guess what - the tab wasn't even $40! The only reason why I did not give this restaurant 4 stars is that they took a long time bringing us our appetizers; the restaurant got really busy after 7ish 8ish-pm and it seemed like they were not expecting it, but there were at least two big parties there, one with a huge chocolate cake. Also, it would be nice if Japanese-Thai restaurants gave a "pre-muncher" like crunchy noodles or something so that you can munch on like in Mexican restaurants when they give nachos, or italian restaurants when they give you bread. I'll definitely come back again, next time to try the sushi.

We found this place while strolling downtown Hollywood on Saturday night. We were both indecisive on what to eat and I decided to go with Thai, as I am never disappointed. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. We decided to order some fried tofu as an appetizer, as I had tried it at an asian place not too long ago and enjoyed it. The fried tofu at this place was not as good. I can't even explain what was wrong with it, it just was nowhere near as good as the one I had previously. I ordered pad thai, and my husband ordered sushi. We were both very happy with our entrees :) I had a glass of riesling, and my husband had a lager(can't remember the name) which were both very good. This place was good, and we will probably stop in again if we are in the area and are craving Thai :)

We like to order in food from here often! Some of our favorite things are the clear noodles with shrimp and the duck basil!! You have to be careful with how spicy you get your meals... We love spicy, but medium spice is very spicy!! Overall the good is very good!!!

This place was nice. The food and service was superb. I had Thai and my friend had sushi. We both left happy. Nice restaurant with very well thought out menu. Will be back!!!
Been there at least 20 times the best Thai in South Fl Local, fresh and reasonable prices :)$ My only frustration is the attitude of the girl at front greeting so rude and if she serves you watch out man you will be badly served :( Management should review her for sure bad for business

After being told that there was an hour wait at Lola's, three of us tried Nakorn for the first time last night and had a pretty decent meal. First of all, the menu is HUGE! Be prepared to wade through 10 pages of Thai and Japanese cuisine. It was almost overwhelming. I started with a really delicious roll that was full of raw tuna, avocado and masago and was wrapped in cucumber instead of the usual rice and seaweed. It came with a side of ponzu sauce. Definitely worth the $11 it cost. My husband enjoyed his salmon skin roll and our friend had a salad. We all shared a reasonably priced bottle of white wine. For my entree, I had the ginger saute with vegetables and tofu and a side of brown rice. I enjoyed it, but really wished the tofu had not been fried. My husband had the green curry with seafood and squid and our friend got a few other sushi rolls. Overall, the meal was reasonably priced and everyone enjoyed it. I would go back, especially since Hollywood doesn't seem to have too many great options for Asian food.
My favorite Thai place in South Florida. I've been here more times then I can count. The Venue I love the decor. It's very nice and clean inside. Fairly spacious but not huge. The Food Best red or green curry I've eaten to date. I'm a huge fan of the volcano chicken as well. My favorite dish here has to be the garlic beef. The one thing I'm not a super huge fan of here is the pad se ew. I prefer it with the more traditional thick rice noodles. Here they use the same thin ones that you typically see in pad thai. It still taste good... just doesn't seem the same. The Service The service has always been excellent here and the staff are so nice. I still go down to Hollywood just to eat here. ... Love the staff and the food.

I've been eating and enjoying this gem for many years. Unassuming, underrated, and under-appreciated, Nakorn delivers a Green Curry Shrimp dish is the bomb! Less than $15 bucks and packed with a bunch of large and delish shrimp. It is spicy and not for the faint of heart, but right before the spicy is about to overtake your mouth, the flavor kicks back in. The coconut flavor comes through and wins your heart. They have a fierce homemade lemonade in house, too. Fresh and delish! I'm not fond of the Denny's-esque new photo-menu. Cheesy. Never a big wait. Wine, liquor, and beer is served too. And now there is no parking meters so parking in Hollywood is free! Enjoy.

Went here so many years ago and hadn't been back since. I went back a couple of weeks ago and realized how good it was. The food is so fresh, the sushi is great and the service is pretty good. Went here with a group of girls who all like different things, and everyone was able to find something on the menu. The menu is huge. I would recommend the sushi if you do stop in here. You can't go wrong. This is also the only sushi place in Hollywood that I would recommend.

We were staying nearby and after trying to find a place to go to dinner, we stumbled upon Nakorn. I was more in the mood for sushi, so I can't speak of how the Thai food is. But the sushi was excellent. We weren't starving, so we just ordered the sashimi appetizer and two orders of the red dragon roll. The sashimi appetizer was incredibly fresh, and the fish almost melted in your mouth. SO GOOD. At first, we only ordered one red dragon roll, but it was soo good we decided to order another one. I'm not sure why it blew my mind, but I thought it was the best thing ever. It's a simple roll, but they made it delicious. They had a selection of different sake's, and we tried the Bunraku (mainly because of the cool bottle heh) but it turned out to be pretty good and complemented the sushi very well. The service was fast and really friendly, and even though we came in an hour before they closed, we never felt rushed. I would definitely come back again!

It was by a stroke of luck that I found this place with a friend. I haven't experienced any good Thai food since moving to south Florida from Brazil. So, here we enter and we are seated right away. The waitress asked us 4 times in about 3 minutes if we were ready to order (meanwhile our heads were clearly buried in our menus.) Ok, she was plenty polite until the 4th time when I said listen, we'll let you know. Then, when we were ready, it took a while to flag her down. We placed our orders. I almost always order Penang Curry with tofu or the green curry the first time in a Thai restaurant. It was nice that they printed right on the menu so many veg options (basically all curry and sauce dishes were available with Tofu/veggies.) It arrived and the moment has come. heaven. Really, really good. My friend enjoyed the heck out of her chicken. It was exactly the spice level I requested. It was deeee-rishous. The atmosphere was pleasant and not overly gaudy. The temperature was right on (it was cold outside.) I'll be back.

Seems we just can't get enough asian food this week! We ordered delivery from this Thai and sushi restaurant tonight, and were VERY happy with our dinner! We started with two sushi rolls - which were good, but the main focus was on the Thai dishes. We had the Basil Duck, the Green Curry Pork, The Chicken Satay Skewers with peanut sauce, and the Spring roll appitizers as well. For starters the duck was INCREDIBLE! The flavors and sauces on all the dishes were delishous! I loved the pork and I am not even a big curry fan. All of the vegies were fresh and perfectly cooked. The delivery was fast - and between the three of us we almost finished all of it. Loved the Chicken and peanut sauce, and we all basically raved about everything! This is a place we will order from again FOR SURE! If you like Thai as well as sushi try Nakorn!

Bugs. Bugs in the soup. Many of them. Waitress did not understand english AT ALL and when we told her about the bugs in the soup..the ones we noticed AFTER we began to eat, she only offered to bring us more soup. ? We left. GROSS. Little thai bugs..not cool.

I am a HUGE thai food addict and of all the thai restaurants i've been to in South Florida, Nakorn is my favorite by a mile :) I come here as often as i can... the atmosphere is really cozy and nice, the service is excellent and the food is just rich with flavors and spice. I'm really into spicy foods so i tend to order things like the TOM YUM GOONG (spicy lemongrass clear soup with mushrooms and jumbo shrimp), the vermicelli noodle salad with minced chicken which has this subtle zesty taste to it, also can be ordered spicy (i do!) and as a main, i absolutely adore their red curry chicken... the flavors are smooth and perfumed... very authentic thai, very delicious. but fair warning, if you ask for very spicy, they do give it to you thai spicy, which is hard for most to handle (but its part of why i LOVE this place hehe) definitely a thumbs up for me. if you like thai food, you'll love this place.

My finance and me got some food to go here today. Food was prompt and ready right when we got there, although I didn't get to see the inside my s.o says it seemed very upscale. However their lunch specials were inexpensive and absolutely DELICIOUS. Pad Thai vegetable is phenomenal as well as their spring rolls. I recommend them to a picky eater wanting to be more daring

Out in this area for work. Happy to have found a sushi spot right across from the office. I got the sushi lunch. All I can say is the sushi was ok. Not the best sushi around but not bad for a quick lunch. Service wasn't bad either but not as good as it could be. My lunch came with soup and they didn't bring it until I reminded them of it. Three stars suits this spot. An "ok" lunch spot.

My number one sushi place...i love the thai food also. The lunch prices are reasonable night prices could get a little out of hand. The workers sometimes are hit or miss but they will remember you if you go a few times and makes the expeience faster. Thai dougnuts are a MUST..love their hot jb rolls and fried rice... overall great place to go to i go at least 3-4 times a month

I love this place! I suggest the shrimp fried rice w/medium spice, garlic & pepper beef w/medium spice and any of their pad thai dishes. *Try their lunch menu, generous portions without the hefty price.

Sushi and Thai places are always a great find since they please both my boyfriend and myself. Everything was good, beautiful presentation on my sashimi appetizer (though I ate it as part of my main course). I ordered a seaweed salad and a tuna roll - delicious. My only gripe is that the white fish in my sashimi appetizer had a metallic taste to it. Yuck. Luckily it was the last thing I finished as my meal. My boyfriend ordered a curry dish or sorts, but they didn't ask how spicy he likes it - so if you like a kick with your dish, be sure to ask. Overall the ambiance and service were good. Plus, we were immediately seated on a Friday night which is always a plus, We'll likely return, but I just hope the metal-tasting fish was a fluke.

I can only speak from personal experience, and so I must say, the dish I got at Nakorn was not that good. It was a lemon sauce over squid and vegetables dish. Extraordinarily bland and of poor texture. Probably should have gone with something standard like Pad Thai, which I'm assuming they would have done well considering the other reviewers' testaments to the high quality of food at Nakorn. Wouldn't recommend.

The sushi menu looked amazing, but I came here with a group of girls for thai and they all enjoyed their curries - green, red, and papaya. Sushi-Thai, kind of an odd mix. By the picture menu, it looks like they excel at both. The portions here are huge, indeed more is better here. I got my signature pad thai fix here though I could have used more sprouts in the mix. I would come back if I lived in the area. Pros Clean restaurant Some sidewalk seating Bar in the back Big, may be good for a large crowd

I am so glad we decided to try this restaurant - sushi was very fresh, prices were very reasonable, nice atmosphere and great service. The soft shell crab appetizer was served with more of a plum sauce instead of a ponzu and prepared a bit differently but was good. We also ordered the sashimi appetizer, gyoza dumplings and two different rolls (cannot remember which ones). I was very happy they had Nigori sake. Although I don't understand why most restaurants here are Sushi-Thai for once I think I'd like to go back and try the Thai options. They do have a more limited "hot appetizer" section than Su-Shin or Masami, but given the prices and service I cannot complain and will definitely be back to this restaurant. Disclaimer - my husband and I are used to the Japanese restaurants in Dallas and we still haven't found anything like a Teppo, Tei-Tei, Sushi Sake or even a Masami - but still very much enjoyed our dinner. If you are ever in Dallas you should go to Teppo Yakitori or Tei Tei Robata Bar. If you ever travel to Richardson TX you have to go to Sushi Sake, have dinner at the sushi bar and try the special sake of the day.

Very solid. It's right in the middle of that downtown Hollywood district that I forget the name of. Staff is friendly, the menu is elaborate, and the prices are fair. AND.... and it's right around the corner from PRL Euro cafe, aka Hollywood beer palace! Nakorn, you get an extra star just for proximity. : )

Next to the Ramada hotel, this name of the place caught my eye whenever I hang out around this area. Instead of driving to the Hallandale Beach Blvd area to get our usual dishes, my husband and I decided to go here. The first two hours of parking is free (before 10 p.m.), so that's a plus, no rush. :) The ambiance was nice.. you will see hints of oranges and green, which made the room look serene and fancy at the same time. I got my usual panang curry, but like Vanessa P. said, the waitress said that there was only one kind of level, which can be spicy for some people or not spicy enough.. I remember that they didn't have the mild level one. I went with it; my palate was getting used to it anyways. It turned out to be how I wanted it.. since this was a dinner, I asked for the box for the rest of it to go. The house salad with ginger dressing tasted great and fresh, but they had only two cherry tomatoes in it. Maybe I shouldn't complain about cutting the big pieces of tomatoes in the other Thai place. Haha.. My husband wasn't happy with his cashew nut chicken, though.. To see why, I took a sip of the sauce and bite... wish I didn't! It spoiled my sense of taste and made me forget to order a drink from their alcohol menu. It tasted like an old fish died in the sauce.. nasty. So nasty that I wanted to spit it out but I couldn't. This was two nights ago, and I still remember how it was. Ugh. Don't get me wrong, though, the service was great and they never forgot to refill our waters.. and always a smile. But, they need to do something about that dish, or it was just our unlucky day for it. But, why us? lol

Nakorn is the best Thai in Hollywood. The menu is ample and the prices are just right. The staff is super friendly and the meals come out quickly. Their offer more items on their dinner menu than their lunch.

Sat outside and the service was prompt. They did not forget about you because you sat outside. There is a little bit of a language barrier but the food is great. Green Shrimp curry spicy. Fresh and savory. Good amount of shrimp. I would go back again and try other curries and their peanut sauce.

Nakorn is located a few blocks from my house, and as a voracious Thai food lover, I've made several trips. Each time, I go with the unabashed optimism that this time, it will be better. Alas, it never is. It's always mediocre sushi/thai that's way overpriced for what it's worth. I don't understand why this place always gets such good ratings- it's really not that special. I much prefer Go! Bento on Hollywood Blvd. You get the same quality, minus the pretension and prices. Nakorn is a no-no.

We went there after reading the reviews here but it was a complete disappointment. The sushi appetizer had likely been sitting in the fridge, pre-made. When it arrived, the fish had dried up... No reason to go back.

This is my go-to place for local takeout (or dine-in) sushi. The menu says that they deliver, but I haven't attempted that yet. There is outside dining, for when I have my pup in tow, or if it's particularly nice out. There are two window booths that are the most sought-after spots in the house, but it doesn't matter to me. I'm perfectly content at the sushi bar! They have a full bar, and I usually opt for a Japanese beer (who cares if it's brewed in L.A.?) My experience with their Thai offerings is limited, but I have tried the Thai mussel appetizer in a crisp, lemongrass broth. Definitely a welcome change of pace from the typical Italian mussels. I've also had two of their Thai soups: Tom Kha Gai, the traditional lemongrass and coconut milk soup with chicken and mushrooms, and seafood soup, which is in a clear broth with lemongrass. Both are excellent. Their pad thai is as good as it gets, and you can request it as spicy (or not spicy) as you wish. As for sushi, I usually start with a sashimi appetizer. It comes with tuna, salmon and white fish, served on top of crushed ice in a martini glass. Not only is the presentation pretty (I think sushi looks like art), it is super fresh. I recently had a not-so-fresh experience at another sushi place recently, so I'm big on the fresh. They have a nice selection of sushi rolls. Yes, they are the typical rolls that you can find at most Americanized sushi restaurants, but they do it right. Nice flavor combinations, delicious sauces, great presentation, creative specialty rolls. I should note that if you order a roll with tempura flakes, there are a TON covering the entire roll. The only reason that I don't give it 5 stars is because there's nothing crazy or completely out of the ordinary on the Japanese portion of the menu, but face it, we're American and we like cream cheese in our sushi on occasion.

I returned here a few weeks ago for dinner with a friend. We were seated right away when we arrived and were given menus. We ordered a bottle of Milestone Chardonnay to share, I had the chicken satay (I've been dreaming of the peanut sauce since I first visited this place more than 6 years ago now) and a Mexican roll. My dining companion wasn't quite as hungry, so he got an order of tuna tataki. Service was really great and attentive all evening long, our food was delivered in good time and was very good, though the peanut sauce that I remember being so incredibly good during my last visit seemingly fell a bit short this time. I appreciate this restaurant's location, as it's only a few blocks from Hollywood Blvd. so it's quick and easy to get to from the I-95 or US-1, but the actual street that this restaurant and a few nearby bars and a hotel are located on is pretty sleepy. That makes it nice and relaxing to sit out front under the stars with few passersby. Pricing was fair; it was $22 for the bottle of wine, $9 for the satay chicken, $10 for the sushi roll and $13 for the tuna dish. Not bad considering the location of this restaurant, the quality of the food and attentiveness of the service.

Great California Rolls, tempura, and wonton soup. My favorite is the clear noodle dish with chicken. The lunch specials are awesome and the service is always great.

I'm highly impressed!!! One of the best sushi I've ever tried. Fresh, delicious and full of flavor. I'm seaweed lover, and my side order of it was just PERFECT! I've got sweet service on the phone, while I came to pick up the food it was ready in less than 15 min, hostess was extremely nice and welcoming. Place look very clean with intimate atmosphere. Will definitely come back to dine in and explore more from the huge menu they have.

Came here for an early dinner and all the food was delicious. Service was excellent. Had the Nakorn roll very good, excellent salad with good lettuce. Also had some hot saki also good and my party was satisfied with their rolls, Mexican roll, odyssey roll, tuna volcano roll, avocado and rainbow roll.

I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. I usually order take out but have eaten at the restaurant a few times. The food is delicious and always tastes fresh. The employees are very quick to assist you, so you never wait long, and they are all always smiling! Overall it has been a great experience every time!

Was excited to try this place after moving around the corner and the boy having a good solo lunch with the red curry. Tuna roll and stuffed shrimp were decent though it fantastic. His red curry was definitely tasty! Sadly my chicken pad Thai was completely bland and the chicken was dry. Ended up spooning some of the red curry sauce over it just to give it some flavor as there was none. Disappointing.

This place had excellent service, we were seated immediately (it was pretty empty) and our food came out extremely quick. The servers were very nice. The food on the other hand left a little to be desired. It was good, but nothing spectacular. I had the dragon roll, chicken satay and the green salad. Again, nothing special, just overpriced regular food.

The worst customer service ever !!! I have been in the food industry for over 15years, it is unbelievable how some people work there and doesn't even understand English, it is too bad cause the food is good but the fact that they don't understand any request you might it's frustrating!!! Go learn English if you want to be in this country !!!!

I love the food but I have to write a bad review because these people falsely advertise a 10% discount if you mention online. There online ordering has been down for months. So I order and I mention I tried to order online and she informed me I didn't tell her in time though I told her right after I finished ordering and she said oh maybe next time. Well there won't be a next time. Bad customer service. BS they probably tell everyone that because they don't want to give this discount. I'm a loyal customer that has been ordering for. Couple years now. Very disappointed.

I love this place! It's a little on the pricey side (dinner menu) for where it is, but I have yet to be disappointed. I was first introduced to Nakorn back in 2007 because my office was located directly across the street, so we ate lunch there often (lunch prices are better). Lately I had been craving Thai and this place popped in my mind. I've been ordering delivery being that I no longer work in the area, and I usually get the red curry chicken and am super satisfied each time. The flavor is plentiful, the spice is just right, and the food is always piping hot. The spring rolls and sushi are really good too. Matter fact, I don't recall ever having an unsatisfactory experience at Nakorn. Thumbs up!

Love the tuna su roll!! The staff is always so nice and the food never disappoints. They are always so courteous with special requests.

This is our go to/favorite sushi in the Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area! The sushi rice is sticky and cooked to perfection. The appetizers are great as well. The service is a 4/5 and take out has always arrived on time! I highly recommend Nakorn!!

I came here on a Friday evening with some friends. It was pretty empty which made us a little nervous, but both the food and service were delightful! I had the chicken massaman and it was the best I have ever had. Everyone else had sushi and was pleased. We will be back for sure! And I just found out that they deliver :)

Hate this place. I won't never come back again PLUS I got food poisoning in this place. I invited my in laws for a dinner to this place, the food was ok and expensive, service was fast..... When I asked for the check I paid and left the tip but it looks like was not enough for the server.... So the Asian server came to the table and I front of my guests she asked me why I left that amount of tip.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? .... I work for a luxurious hotels and I won't never do that!!!! I won't never never come back to this place again.

I decided to go to this restaurant after i have read some feedback on it.. well, i can confirm all the good things i have found on this sushi bar. Food is delicious, service is good and very fast. Price is quite affordable considering the general quality that it can be possible to have. Highly suggested.

First timer. Tried our tester dish masaman curry chicken--very good, generous portion with avacado and all important sweet potato. Started with dragon roll which met expectations and steamed gayoza which did not--mushy and lacking in both taste and refinement. Friends ordered pad thai which was adequate, but not memorable. Service was good but a little rushed. Nice atmosphere with large tables and nice mood lighting. Wanted to give 4 stars but it just came up a little short. Worth a second try.

Great food. Parking is a little tight but I got lucky. The service is great. They refill the water the second they hear the ice swirling around. Over all I was surprised I wasn't here before. It's not on the main drag but it's better than most other places I've been to.

This review is for take out only. Great looking menu, great fast delivery. Food came packaged nicely and was piping hot. Tried the red curry - fantastic. Nice little kick. Fried rice was good. Everything was delicious.

We have been here a couple times. I really enjoy this place. Everything is fresh, waitresses are attentive as well. It is pretty clean as well. Food has always been great to us I had the Sautee Garlic and Basil Chicken, very fresh and tender. I reccommend this place besides Helen Huangs and Chinatopia

This place is a little hidden gem on Harris Street. I was there having an early evening dinner with my husband Friday night. The food was delicious I ordered the coconut soup, vegetable, spring roll, and curry mazzama (not sure I spelt it correct). The portions are big so definitely come with an appetite. The coconut soup was creamy and very tasty. The spring rolls were not greasy so that was great. The curry mazzama I ordered it with fried tofu and brown rice.I was really happy with the fried tofu. The restaurant itself was very well kept. I did notice for a Friday night it seemed to be a little under staffed with servers.

It seems like every restaurant in Ft Lauderdale that states they deliver yet they choose the time to send their driver home. Please state that in your profile, or just do the Yelp community a service and remove that you actually do delivery. You also have the choice of changing your business hours on here.

I come here often for lunch. They are located down the street from my office. The sushi and Thai are always good and the service is reliable.

It's decent food but they close early and parking is always an issue id recommend somewhere a lil more accommodating. I showed up 20 mins b4 closing and was told it was too late. Business must be great to turn repeat customers away

-Pretty clean and well kept -Good service -Good solid sushi and rolls -Top notch miso soup (don't laugh, until you've had a good one you don't realize you've been eating bad ones) -No kids menu but they will alter some apps to make them appealing for a ki

I've eaten here for 4 & 1/2 years. My staples are the green curry, tiger tear salad and dragon roll. They are a little on the pricy side but the food is excellent in my opinion.

I went to dinner here last night with my best friend. We ordered edamame, spring roll and a soup as starters. Her soup was creamy tasteful and just the right amount of spicy. I ordered a clear noodle vegetable pad Thai since it was Good Friday. We also had a kamikaze roll. Our waitress was very friendly making sure we had everything we needed. Since we had some leftovers she happily took the dishes back and brought them back packaged to go. The bill ended up being around $60 considering everything we ordered, we were positively delighted. I will absolutely be returning!

(2)Carla B.
(4)Tricia S.
(4)Katrina B.
Found this place a couple of months ago and have been coming back ever since. The Sunomono is probably some of the best i've ever had. Red Dragon roll is another one of my favorites. I highly recommend this place to locals and tourists
(4)Kay K.
I'm not a fan of curry nor spicy food...but WOW! The curry chicken was ridiculously amazing!!! I kept stealing food off my boyfriend's plate :D Must try!
(5)David W.
(5)Ericka P.
Best Thai in a while! Loved the Massaman curry. I've ordered it a few times take out and it's crave worthy!
(4)David-John P.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in south Florida. They never disappoint.
(5)Maria A.
(4)Cassandra M.
This is our 'go to' sushi place. Never had anything we didn't like. We eat here either take out or eat in at least once a month. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Decor is beautiful. Enough space to bring our baby stroller to the table. Out door seating is great too.
(4)Olle P.
(4)Joseluis A.
came back recently. damn good! their menu looks brand new. shiny and with lots of pictures. shared some shrimp dumplings. awesome ponzu sauce. got some frog legs. delicious. give those frog legs a shot. you will love them! very meaty, deep fried ... so kinda crunchy. comes on a sweet sauce. wow. frogs are good. eat them. oh we also shared the chicken curry. coconut milk based. spicy the way it came. only ask for extra spicy if you really like it spicy. oh and we also shared a bottle of cold sake and paid 50$ for the whole thing. great place for a delicious meal!
(4)Tim F.
Me and my girlfriend decided to randomly try this place. She had been looking for some good Thai food and sushi and we found it here. The food was great, the sushi was amazing! I frickin' loved this place and it will be one of my new favorite places for a long time!
(5)C H.
Great food... I've eaten here twice and ordered delivery several times, all were delicious. I really like the Thai curries.
(5)Erin E.
(4)Karina R.

(5)Anika G.
I decided to give Nakorn another try because let's face it the food is always consistently good. I actually was served by the aforementioned bitch waitress in my other reviews and she was actually nice. Color me surprised!!
(4)Felecia W.
(4)Joel L.
(4)Tchaka O.

(1)Amber T.
(5)Carla T.
(1)Michael I.
Sashimi Mori and two more rolls. Loved it! Service was also very good. Would definitely recommend.
(4)Michael D.
(3)Michael R.
tasty, could have been better. Service was fine. Limited review due to me rushing around.
(3)Carlucci L.
(4)Jennifer N.
(4)Adrika D.
Service was excellent! Red curry dish is amazing! One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been too.
(5)Krystle L.
We like to order in food from here often! Some of our favorite things are the clear noodles with shrimp and the duck basil!! You have to be careful with how spicy you get your meals... We love spicy, but medium spice is very spicy!! Overall the good is very good!!!
(4)A. C.
This place was nice. The food and service was superb. I had Thai and my friend had sushi. We both left happy. Nice restaurant with very well thought out menu. Will be back!!!
(5)AK N.
Delicious fried dumplings. I could drink the sauce. The shrimp pad thAi I ordered medium spicy and it was wayyyyy spicy but delicious. The Sauté section of the menu is perfect if you want to create your own. The pork sauté and garlic and pepper sauce was excellent. The broth is worth the entire meal. Service was amazing with someone showing up at exactly the right time. Well worth a visit.
(4)Renee C.
Been there at least 20 times the best Thai in South Fl Local, fresh and reasonable prices :)$ My only frustration is the attitude of the girl at front greeting so rude and if she serves you watch out man you will be badly served :( Management should review her for sure bad for business
(3)Susan C.
(4)Denise G.
I found this place simply by using Yelp. I LOVED everything we had! The décor, service and food was awesome. I'm a very picky diner and I can yell you it was great. We had appetizers and Shrimp Pad Thai and Spider hand rolls and shrimp fried rice that were off the chain. We will definitely make this our new Sushi and Thai restaurant from now on. Its a 5 min walk to The Arts Park at Young Circle where we came to see a Saturday night concert. We ate 3 appetizers and 2 meals and it was $60 bucks, not bad for all we had.
(5)Dan M.
(4)Steve C.
Enjoy.
(5)Brittany R.
(4)Noelle H.
(4)Steve M.
(4)Geoffrey M.

What a dinning experience... Great Sushi and Thai food. Clean and fresh interior

Delicious food. Very kind service, both table-side, and if you call on the phone!

But, why us? lol

We have been going here for years. It is our favorite Thai & Sushi restaurant in the area. I like the rainbow roll, California roll and Masaman Curry with tofu.
(5)Robert B.
Nakorn is the best Thai in Hollywood. The menu is ample and the prices are just right. The staff is super friendly and the meals come out quickly. Their offer more items on their dinner menu than their lunch.
(4)Surf W.

(2)Umer K.

(4)Lana B.

(5)Heather S.
I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. I usually order take out but have eaten at the restaurant a few times. The food is delicious and always tastes fresh. The employees are very quick to assist you, so you never wait long, and they are all always smiling! Overall it has been a great experience every time!
(5)Allison W.
(2)Diana H.
(3)John C.
The worst customer service ever !!! I have been in the food industry for over 15years, it is unbelievable how some people work there and doesn't even understand English, it is too bad cause the food is good but the fact that they don't understand any request you might it's frustrating!!! Go learn English if you want to be in this country !!!!
(1)Heather H.
(1)Corrine S.
Thumbs up!
(4)Diana C.
Love the tuna su roll!! The staff is always so nice and the food never disappoints. They are always so courteous with special requests.
(5)Samantha S.
This is our go to/favorite sushi in the Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area! The sushi rice is sticky and cooked to perfection. The appetizers are great as well. The service is a 4/5 and take out has always arrived on time! I highly recommend Nakorn!!
(5)Sam P.
I came here on a Friday evening with some friends. It was pretty empty which made us a little nervous, but both the food and service were delightful! I had the chicken massaman and it was the best I have ever had. Everyone else had sushi and was pleased. We will be back for sure! And I just found out that they deliver :)

always great food

Nice place with good service and teasty sushi... I'll definitely come back... Highly recommend this place!

(5)Jonathan S.
(3)Larry B.
Great food. Parking is a little tight but I got lucky. The service is great. They refill the water the second they hear the ice swirling around. Over all I was surprised I wasn't here before. It's not on the main drag but it's better than most other places I've been to.
(4)Daisy D.
Not only was their service fast, but the quality of the food was great!! I would definitely come back.
(5)Kristine A.
This review is for take out only. Great looking menu, great fast delivery. Food came packaged nicely and was piping hot. Tried the red curry - fantastic. Nice little kick. Fried rice was good. Everything was delicious.
(4)Max G.
(5)Jazmin L.
(4)Steve S.
It seems like every restaurant in Ft Lauderdale that states they deliver yet they choose the time to send their driver home. Please state that in your profile, or just do the Yelp community a service and remove that you actually do delivery. You also have the choice of changing your business hours on here.
(2)Ron C.
I come here often for lunch. They are located down the street from my office. The sushi and Thai are always good and the service is reliable.
(3)Dakota C.
It's decent food but they close early and parking is always an issue id recommend somewhere a lil more accommodating. I showed up 20 mins b4 closing and was told it was too late. Business must be great to turn repeat customers away
(2)Andrew K.
-Pretty clean and well kept -Good service -Good solid sushi and rolls -Top notch miso soup (don't laugh, until you've had a good one you don't realize you've been eating bad ones) -No kids menu but they will alter some apps to make them appealing for a ki
(3)Erykah M.
I had Red Curry Shrimp medium spicy. Really good. I will order again. Price is reasonable.
(3)P G.
I've eaten here for 4 & 1/2 years. My staples are the green curry, tiger tear salad and dragon roll. They are a little on the pricy side but the food is excellent in my opinion.
(5)Mariya W.
Great romantic restaurant, loved sushi, coconut soup with sushi and mash rums, everything was perfect and delicious, spring rolls must to try. Great experience!!.. Will come back here again :)
(5)Carolina G.

Beef fried rice is to die for!! Love their salmon skin hand roll too. Gyoza steamed is ok. Thai tea is delicious!!!
