Good coffee, bubble tea, crepes, poetry, and jazz. Need I say more?

This place is suck. I came there to have a romantic diviner with my wife as promised on groupon. Instead I waited 2 hours for microscopic overpriced shitty meal to be prepared. The same dude took and order, cooked (without gloves), and used register. Beer came in 25 min after the order. Very loud music from wanna be rockers from background. Service charge is forced 18%. Bill was astronomical even with using groupon. The guy who cooked wiped his sweat with one hand while cooking in the bar. This place is shit hole, never ever come again. They spoiled my weekend night. Next day had upset stomach.

So, I could have sworn that I wrote a review back when I checked in here. I definitely remember how dissatisfied I was with this place. Number one, my mom and I ordered to-go because we had somewhere to be and it took this guy forever to make our crepes and boba tea. The food (and drinks), once it came out was okay, nothing special. The fact that the guy was super slow not only bothered me, but it bothered the lady in front of me. She actually refused her food because she watched him put the sliders in the microwave (LMAO - they were literally the frozen White Castle burgers). Needless to say, we won't be back.

The White Castle Hamburgers on the menu are the frozen White Castle's from the grocery, not "white castle style" sliders, like I thought I understood. There was a language barrier with the Chef but she definitely let me know that I, the customer, was wrong and that she said that they were the frozen burgers. The owner was very nice and apologetic when some of our food was forgotten. I came in with a livingsocial deal so I expected to be treated like a second class citizen from the beginning. Based on my experience, I will not return

Man! their crepès was tasty!! But their bubba tea was ughh nasty!!! Don't get their bubba tea, it tastes so bad, definitely powdered. Nice set up tho, feels like you're in a 80's chilling spot. They also got open mic night, if you're a poem or a rapper, you could showcase your talent there.

The first time I went here it was all good. But THIS time, we asked for cups of water and they gave us expensive bottles. Then we ordered bubble tea and they brought out the tea made and said, "Oh by the way, we just ran out of tapioca balls," which was my purpose in ordering it. They should have told us that before making it. Then, we found pieces of GLASS in the tea. Little shards of glass! They automatically include 18% tip (wow!) and then trick you at checkout so you give them even more tip! I ended up stupidly giving them a 32% tip!! Ugh! Never going here again.

I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt , since I live very near here. I waited over 30 minutes for a crepe. I was there well over 2 1/2 hours and only had one dish that had to be cooked. Also.. did I mention I was the ONLY customer in the restaurant. Will never find this native New Yorker here again..

Not sure why "Chillout" is in the name. Everyone here was super uptight and serious. 1. I was discussing how it was impossible to stay in the cubicle seating because the pillows were sliding off because the cubicles are smooth table tops and the pillows are smooth...not one of us in any of the cubicles were able to be that comfortable because if felt like we were going to end up on the floor. One of the staff came up to us and told us to be careful getting in and out of the cubicles. All of us in the cubicles got a good laugh over how seriously he told us this. Maybe tell us this when you seat us there but if we are sitting there I think we get it. NOTE: 1 can of anti slip spray paint will fix this!!! Go to Home Depot, pay $5, spray the table tops, put pillows back down, problem solved. Love the idea but it was impossible to enjoy sitting when the pillows kept sliding out. 2. When I got there I asked for Bubble Tea. I was told that they had it but when I tried to order it I was told that there were not tapioca peals but it was still bubble tea. I saw this in someone else's review. It is NOT bubble tea without the bubble part. It is just tea. It's like trying to sell a bag of sugar as cotton candy. I was then told that there might be bubbles later because the owner was out shopping. However, it was added that "I put it on his (owners) list but he doesn't always follow the list." Oh, so the owner of the establishment probably won't know how to read a grocery list so I shouldn't hold my breath about having bubble tea? Ok, great to know. 3. I signed up for open mic and the person running it came over to me and said that unless I was experienced/professional I should "go home and practice a few weeks then maybe come back." So you're telling me I came for open mic, respected the business by ordering food/drinks, BUT you don't want me there? AND you don't want my business for a few weeks? My friends vouched for me and she 'let' me sign up and we were all really taken aback by her treatment. After laughing about practically having to go through a background check to perform at open mike, she came back over and gave me a 10 minute explanation. Basically, they had a band perform and people left and the owner told her he wanted her to carefully screen every person before she let them up on stage. OH, so the owner is a jerk? I had this at 3 stars because I really think this is a good establishment but there is some disconnect. Mainly, as representative in an establishment, you need to be a team. Your goal is to get customers to enjoy their experience and come back. However, everyone here was more about making themselves look good by putting the blame on someone else - which happened to be the owner. So, yes, server that made the excellent shopping list for your boss, GREAT JOB! You really know how to make a list, too bad your owner didn't know how to read it and did not buy the tapioca for me to have bubble tea. And yes, open mic mc, you did an AWESOME job of super screening performers as you were told. If you weren't losing customers by having bad performers you certainly lost plenty with your "if you aren't a professional practice then come back in a few weeks". But you aren't the bad guy, heaven forbid. The owner, that's who the jerk is. Please fix your website. Times are wrong. Food was good. Beer was cold. I approve of both. I don't often write reviews but when I do they are only truth as I know it.

Great food, great vibe! Try the savory dinner "cupcakes", or an expertly prepared crepe. Adam & crew put love into everything they do. Pop open an icy cold beer (the coldest in town-BRRR!)- a wide selection of craft brews. The ambiance is like a den or living room, with some large tables for a group, small tables for 2 and high banquette seating- I felt like the Queen of Sheba! Didn't want to get up out of that cozy booth. Cool artwork on the walls, really cool loft stage, great place for local artists/musicians/poets/comedians to come and showcase their talent on Friday nights at Open Mic.

Hit Megabyte on a Friday night at ten. Nice chill place, great change from the bars, nice jazz, open mike Tuesdays, live jam Wednesdays ... but ... invisible ... I kept spelling the name with a y ... and empty.

I found this place on groupon and decided to go right away. It was perfect for the low key date my boyfriend and I were looking for. The atmosphere was very friendly and the food was good. We would definitely go back.

I visited this place to watch a band play. I haven't been to Hollywood in years, so I decided to revisit. Location: This place is in prime real estate, but lacks a proper sign. The sign is behind a window, and is not lit. This makes finding the place a chore. There is no real parking, so a 2 block walk to a parking garage is the sole option. However, the parking situation relates to ALL businesses on Hollywood Blvd. The inside is very narrow and long. With the bar and stools that run along the entrance/exit, one only has a 3-4' wide path to walk to get into the back of the establishment. The lack of exiting ease seems like a massive fire hazard. Entertainment: Bands are forced to play in a loft in the back of the establishment. It's an odd arrangement that disconnects the entertainers from the patrons. Some other establishments place the band in the store front window. This seems to be a more logical approach. Food: In the window were crepe stations. I was game for a crepe, so I asked to order one. It was 7:30pm. Apparently, they don't fire up the crepes until after 8:30pm. I was there until 9:45 and no crepes were ever made. I asked for a beer. 20 minutes later I received it. They forgot that I ordered, and I had to ask, twice. Not sure why they forgot. The place was empty. I talked to one of the band members. He had ordered food for dinner, and it never came. Seating: Seating is like parking; few and far between. They have these weird cubicles with pillows you can "chill" in. Interesting concept, but there is no where to place your drink. Adam and his staff were very friendly, but it was frustrating to order items that never arrive. I hope this CONSTRUCTIVE criticism helps this business change for the better.

I Dishcrawled here last week and I must say they have the best "crepe's" in town! The owner is cool he let us watch him make the "crepe's himself! P.S. They have the coldest beers in town!!! Love this place

First time to Megabite a few days ago. Strolled in at night for some crepes. Pretty neat set up. Chill lounge type of vibe like the name. There was a comedian on stage, which I found amusing. I had the grilled chicken crepe, Mediterranean crepe, and washed 'em down with a Leffe blonde beer. They claim to have the coldest beer in town and my Leffe was very nice and cold. The grilled chicken crepe was delicious, and the Mediterranean crepe was good too. The owner and staff were very nice. I'm curious about the cupcakes they are experimenting with. Overall I enjoyed the experience and I would go back to try other crepes, the cupcakes, and check out the jazz scene.

No, no, and no. The food and service is bad. I have never given 1 star before because something is always positive at the establishment. Not this one. 18% gratuity automatically added to bad service is actually adding to the bad experience. Cheeseburger tasted bad and we waited over and hour for it. When we asked about the burger order, the chef/waiter specifically told us that it's going to take a long time. What?! When it came out, it really was cheese+meat sandwiched between ciabatta roll with the frozen type of crinkle cut fries on the side. How does that take over 1 hour?! I feel like a McDonald's burger is fancier, cheaper, and tastes better. The waitress has a tablet type of device to take our order, so you would assume that this makes the ordering process more efficient, however, it was the complete opposite. She forgot to tell us that the beer we ordered was sold out and we were waiting over 15 minutes for it until we found out when we asked about it. Waiting for the check took another 30 min. We came in a group, but they could not split the check. They claimed that we made it hard by asking for a split check. I thought that gadget would be more efficient again, but I guess not. I feel like the management needs to step it up notch. One of our group members ordered a crepe and there was some kind of miscommunication and so the chef/waiter gave it to us on the house after he had initially taken it away for like 10 min. He came back with it 10 min later and gave it to us. That was nice of him, but it didn't really make up for the rest of the experience.
