This is cuisine at its best, fantastic wines (at very accessible prices), great service in the best looking restaurant in Hollywood. A must for foodies and anyone who appreciates excellence. Moderately priced worth from anywhere in South Florida.

Fantastic food and nice, friendly bartenders/servers. The flatbread and cheese plates are phenomenal.

Just had drinks because we went there at 10pm on a Friday night and the kitchen was closed! My guess, is that's so Chef Michel can get his drink on as that's exactly what he doing! His wife was busting her butt and even offered to make us a flatbread, but Michel was just chilling with some friends. The place was dead....everyone behind the bar was very nice and attentive, especially the chef's wife. Drinks were good, but a bit overpriced. What is with the videos of the chef and his assistant???? What an egomaniac!!!! Good Lord - does he think that's good entertainment? Hilarious, sooooo narcissistic. It should be about the food, not about you, Chef. All-in-all, the decor is awesome, staff is nice and hospitable......they just need to keep the kitchen open later on the weekends or offer a small tapas menu and get some people in the door.

I hope my experience was atypical because I see the reviews are generally good. We only came for dessert and coffee, so that's all this review is about. We were greeted promptly and seated after some brief questioning about whether or not we had a reservation. At the time, around 7:30 PM, the restaurant had approximately 2 of around 13-14 interior tables seated so it was kind of odd, but the proprietress came over and seated us. To be fair, we hadn't planned for going to a nice restaurant and were dressed fairly casually, so we didn't object when she rather intentionally seated us towards the back of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly, well spoken, nicely dressed. It's a great atmosphere and courteous, professional staff. We had just come for dessert and coffee, and she took our orders promptly. I ordered the creme brulee and my wife got profiteroles. The wait for dessert was longish, but they did get blitzed not long after we ordered, so we just enjoyed the atmosphere and waited. It is a very attractive restaurant, trendy and well decorated. They were under-staffed for the sudden rush with only two server/bus people and 2 hostess/bartender people and the proprietress having to dash around the restaurant, while trying to maintain decorum and present good service, chat with the guests, etc. Once we did get dessert, it was frankly disappointing. My creme brulee had been overcooked and the custard broke, becoming clumpy. It was a decent sized portion but the sugar crust was both too thick and inadequately caramelized. The kiwi and raspberry drizzle in a nice dot pattern on the plate was a good aesthetic touch, if not really adding much flavor overall. My wife's four profiteroles were teeny tiny, maybe an inch and a half in diameter, and the dough wasn't particularly crisp. We've both had worse, but also much better. For a traditional French restaurant and the price, $9 for the creme brulee and $10 or $11 for the profiteroles, I really expected a better execution. We asked for our coffee with dessert and didn't get it until about 5 minutes after dessert arrived. My espresso was fine. My wife's cafe latte was a bit strong, not enough milk. Then came the wait for the check. I know French restaurants don't rush you, and we weren't in a particular rush either, but we went a solid 30 minutes of making eye contact with various staff after we completely finished dessert and coffee with no one stopping at the table to make sure we were still breathing. I finally flagged down a server as he rushed past and asked for the check. He seemed to realize we had slipped through the cracks and promised it promptly. Then came another 15 minute wait with he and I exchanging looks several times until finally the co-owner came over and gave us the check. She did apologize for the wait, but by that time, I was pretty much done with the whole experience. Maybe the entrees are fantastic and we were just the unfortunate beneficiaries of an unusual rush of customers or some server calling out sick, but for the price, wait and quality of the food we encountered, I'm not eager to give it another shot. It's a shame because a decently priced local French restaurant would be a delight.

Truly worthy of a 5 star rating! First and foremost the food is amazing! You can tell that the chef has prepared food with love, with care, with attention to detail, and out of a passion for the art of cooking! The space is modern and fun, TVs top the bar showing sports and their own unique cooking content. We found ourselves a few times drawn into watching the chef prepare dishes on the menu. The cool modern feel of the blue and white interior is devoid of the stuffiness of traditional French eateries and is simply calm, relaxed and fun. After being seated we were presented with a complimentary glass of champagne. A nice touch to welcome you to the restaurant. The wine list was small in comparison to other restaurants but comprehensive. I was able to find multiple bottles I knew I would enjoy. Best of all prices are very reasonable. The menu itself was amazing. While not overwhelming in number of items it was an overwhelming decision because we wanted to try everything. It's not often that you come across a place where truly every dish feels inspired and it's a difficult decision deciding which of the dishes to try. We ended up ordering three courses just so we could try multiple items. When the food came out it was presented beautifully and was a surprise in how well prepared it was. Portion sizes are reasonable. We left feeling very satisfied but not overwhelmingly full. Very comfortable. Within the course of service, The chef took the time to come out and visit each table. The restaurant was not overwhelmingly packed but it did have a nice humm and buzz of business. Service was spot on, attentive but never intrusive or rushed. All in all FACE was a surprisingly excellent experience. In fact I want go back again tonight. It was that good. I highly recommend this for a fun social evening, filled with great food and a chef who has a passion for culinary excellence!

I really enjoyed the food at Face. Although the portions were small everything was absolutely yummy and presented in a beautifully by Chef Michel. His wife Kimi greeted us warmly and even provided us with Champagne. Loved that. And since it was a special guy's birthday her hubby the chef made a special brownie dessert for the occasion. C'etait tres delicieux.

Where to start: we were greeted by pleasant staff and well attended to throughout our meal. My husband ordered fish and absolutely loved it. I had the filet mignon in the peppercorn sauce, and was not too impressed. The meat itself was a very high quality, but the sauce was not pleasing to my palate. My tiny side of mashed potatoes were also really dry. We ordered drinks from the bar which were fine, but the water we asked for was warm. I've never had a restaurant anywhere in the world pour warm (room temperature) in my glass. There was no ice either. Finally, we had dessert which was good, but portions are small and not intended for sharing. The interior and service were great, but overall I don't think I'll be back.

Very interesting menu... French-American seems to mean an Italian influence?... Regardless, food was well presented and service was excellent. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Brought my parents for Mothers Day, but it's definitely a place I'll bring a date.

I really like this place! I have been here a few times for drinks (I have yet to have the pleasure of eating here) and I love the atmosphere! The bartenders and entire staff are very friendly and personable. The live DJ is great and adds to the chic ambiance. Very sleek and modern, an extensive (and highly creative) cocktail menu, and wonderful service all around! I will come here anytime I am in Hollywood! Can't wait to try the food!

Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a very quirky hostess, who happens to be the Chef's wife. She was a cute french woman who was very animated. The ambiance was amazing, it definitely made you feel like you were in France. The decor was beautiful. There's a nice French tune playing in the background too. This restaurant definitely has authentic French cuisine with a modern twist. +Chef Michel is known to have fresh bought ingredients of the day only on hand. Nothing is pre-cooked and is cooked to order. Which is amazing. Everything tastes fresh! My friend and I decided to do tapas style because we just wanted to try everything! So we ordered 4 appetizers. +All of Chef Michel's dishes were presented beautifully. It was like art on a plate! Tuna Nicoise - Seared ahi tuna that was crusted with sesame seeds, served with a bed of mixed veggies. Great flavors and cooked perfectly. Beef Carpaccio - The beef was very tender and the white truffle oil made it taste amazing. Definitely melts in your mouth nicely. Escargot Burgundy - Buttery snails in between two puff pastries was delicious. Different delicious take on escargots. Foie gras - Omg, you can never go wrong with this dish. By far my favorite. Foie gras is definitely the way to my heart. This definitely melts in your mouth, and like the cute French hostess says " It's orgasmic!" The mango chutney pairs very well with the foie. Yum! Must get! Of course, we got desserts: +Creme brulee - amazing. the caramelized sugar crust was perfect. not too thin and not to thick and was crunchy! +Homemade profiteroles - 4 different kinds of cream puffs! all were tasty with lots of different flavors. Yum! Can't wait to go back and try some entrees next!

My boyfriend and I decided to stop here for desserts and drinks after dinner on a Saturday night. As we passed FACE earlier, the restaurant appealed to us: a classy looking, odd-named establishment in the middle of a slew of rough bars. As soon as we stepped in, I immediately fell in love with the ambiance. Classy, elegant, and beautifully decorated with interesting decor, this place spoke to me. We were greeted immediately and very quickly, server after server arrived at our table-- the lady I assume to be the owner also greeted us. We were quickly served two glasses of complimentary champagne. We decided on an order of the House Made Chocolate Profiteroles and I indulged in their Face-tini, a passion fruit concoction which they claim to be the best martini. Oh my goodness, was it delicious though! Even my boyfriend, who is not a fruity drink lover by any means, loved it. It was so delicious I couldn't resist ordering a second one! The Profiteroles were incredibly delicious. Four to an order, these were dreamy: chocolate covered, flaky, a touch of caramel, and warm cream on the inside. I could have probably eaten a thousand of these. The presentation of the dessert was also beautiful, but I wouldn't expect anything less from this place. Chef Michel stopped by to introduce himself and check on our experience, and again, I cannot compliment the quality of service enough. From the service, to the complimentary champagne, to the excellence of the food, this place is everything a great quality restaurant should be-- and I cannot wait to return!

I had called to make reservations for 4 at 9:45 or 10 and was told 9:45 was good. We came there and the hostess told us they close at 10 and the gentleman i spoke to was new or something and should of let us know...i wanted to get the duck confit but was told that would take to long to cook. Someone from our group ordred fettucine alfredo and was told thats food for children and she should order something grown up. I dont believe it was said to be derogatory or rude but i guess it kind of came out that way. Overall food was really good. Foie gras with mango was great the warm tomato and foat cheese was good. The mussels provencale was great as was the boulabaise. Would have loved to try the duck. The dinner just seemed rushed to the point that when they asked if we wanted dessert it felt like they wanted us to say no so they can close faster. Would love to go back in a more relaxed setting.

I came here last night on a date and it was a great experience. The owners are warm and lovely and if there is a lag in service time it's because they want you to sit and enjoy their beautiful setting. Europeans dine at a much slower pace then Americans, savoring their meal and company. I really felt wonderful energy from the staff- from the server to the waitress. The food was tasty, fresh and presented with class. Beef burgunon (Im spelling it wrong) was delicious!! I am definitely coming back to this restaurant again. I read the reviews especially the ones from Open table and they were really positive. I am hesitant about many of the dining options is in Hollywood but this one surprised me. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Great atmosphere, very friendly professional service and amazing food. All the dishes came out perfect, well prepared with great execution and presentation. The seared foi gas and carpaccio were amazing. The filet was cooked perfect and the deserts where great too. Prices where average and what you would expect from a place like this. Thank you Michele (chef & owner) for a wonderful birthday dinner.

As is the case with fellow Yelper Geoffrey, I haven't had dinner here yet either, only dessert an appetizer and drinks. Hence, I will confine my remarks to that. When I walked in, I was welcomed and greeted as if they really appreciated my patronage. But, since I was the only person there, they probably did. For an appetizer I went for the marinated figs which is something I've never had before, but now that I've had them I'm not only glad I did, but have become a fan of them even to the extent of preparing a few of my own at home and for guests who have given me rave but unpublished reviews on them. For dessert, I went for their Crème Brulee with a raspberry and kiwi sauce. To be frank about it, the thought of combining a raspberry with a kiwi is something that had never crossed my mind, but it does now since it was soooo delicious. I was glad I stopped by and promise to do a dinner update at a later date.

When we are in Hollywood, which is about seven months each year, every Monday is FACE night. It is an example to other restaurants in how to treat customers, how to serve and prepare delicious food. Then there is the charming decor. All this adds up to a simply wonderful evening with charming hostess, Kiki and fantastic chef, Michele and their adorable son. The Kaufman's

I heard a lot of great things about this place but was a bit disappointed. The place was empty and the seating seemed to be nothing exceptional. The food was fine, and the staff was attentive as they say in the review. But of course it would be since there was no one else there! Also, they have very little wine offering by individual glass and the wine bottles are pricey for a backwater like Hollywood, FL. Think about it, the average person in Hollywood makes $22K a year or $400 a week, dinner at this place for 2 with a bottle of wine will easily cost $150.
The chef and waitstaff were very friendly. The presentation was nice, however, I didn't think much of the food. There was an ingredient missing on the appetizer (the figs were missing from the FIG flat bread) and there were canned mandarin oranges on the salad. Overall, I don't think I will be back to visit.

My wife and I went here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted by Judy who showed us to our seats. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. Everyone on the staff greeted us with smiles. We were first served a small glass of complimentary champagne. Very nice for an anniversary toast. My wife needs to eat gluten free meals, so Michel, the chef, helped her with her selections. My wife started with the vegetable soup and said it was the best she had ever tasted. She also had the cod which she said was wonderful. I started with the blue crab appetizer and it was delicious, but it was a rather small serving. Small appetizers seem to be typical for french restaurants. The flounder filet with ratatouille I ordered was very good too, especially the sauce. I finished off with the double chocolate brownie, which also was a small serving! Unfortunately it wasn't gluten free, so my wife couldn't share it. This restaurant is a real gourmet treat.

Wow what more can I say..this is a fabulous spot to go and dine on quality cuisine.. And they are so personal so hospitable..we always sit at the round table underneath this stunning chandelier. the chef comes out to meet and greet..and can alter foods to your taste and preferences..however we always go with the chefs preferences..because he puts his heart n soul into his food..we adore him. Bartender is adorable and upbeat and knowledgeable.. Our server I cant remember his name ever..but hes a skinny tanned latin man..sweetest server..I brought my baby niece..8 months old here..and he literally made this ultra modern sleek restaurant.. baby friendly.. Granted we dont make a habit of taking her to swanky hot spots..but that particular day was a last minute judgment call to head to face..and they were very accommodating which was very appreciated.. Back to the food..( attn: the names of the dishes im about to reference are not accurate im just describing the taste from memory) the nut encrusted fish..tomato bullion base with mixed fish ,shellfish/seafood..salmon pastry..stuffed zucchini thingy..the shark..the creme Brule..uhhhh the list is endless Basically its all devine.. Its all so good that we never order for ourselves we let either the chef or the server order for us..our famous line at face is.."surprise us" and that we always are..every mouthful is a surprise of greatness.. Ps they have a great melbec too

We visited FACE about a month ago, our experience was not great, but we talked with the owner and his adorable wife Kimi. They explained they were having an off night. Instead of comping the meal, they urged us to come back a different time for dinner on the house. I thought this was brilliant! Because it brought us back. We went back last night and had a very warm welcome and a very nice dinner. The atmosphere is cute and edgy. The free glass of sparkling wine to all when you walk in is a nice touch. Located in the heart of Hollywood nightlife. Over all I would say this is a nice place to have dinner. But the star of the show, is Kimi! Her warm, welcoming and bubbly personality will keep you coming back for more.

The food was fantastic. To me, it is a good sign when four people with different tastes order off the same menu and everyone raves about their selection. We were lucky enough to stumble upon Face during a Sunday walk, and we are so thrilled with this discovery. Allow enough time for a meal, although the food was rather slow coming out, it was well worth the wait, and the servers ensured that our every need was met. I can't say enough about a restaurant that accomodates two strollers (it wasn't busy, and we had well behaved little men-thank heavens!) and ensured that the food was hot, fresh, and each dish came out with a beautiful presentation. We will return for certain!

Delicious!!!! Great service , great food and a great find in Hollyweird. We had the specials & mussels with fries . A flatbread & cocktails to start. All were amazing. Presentation, fresh food and customer service is key in this husband & wife run operation. They are truly lovely and the staff was as well!

Chef Michel has brought a gourmet culinary experience with a South Beach vibe to Hollywood Florida. He has prepared several meals for me of foods I had never tried before or never thought I would have liked, and made them instantly my favorites. Not to mention incredible preparations of foods I already love. His meats and fishes are of the highest quality around. Friendly staff (Chef Michel's wife Kimi and Noah the bartender) makes for a great experience.

Let me start by saying the staff was great and the chef came out chatted with us for quite a while, explaining his passion and depth in the food. So we were excited after hearing him describe all the layers in the food etc. However sadly as the dishes came out the food just left us disappointed. Mussels needed more herbs and white wine was just bathed in a bowl of hefty melted butter. To me using a stick of butter in one dish isn't flavor. Then the entrees were again smothered in butter and lacked any layers or flavored and was a but blah. Good notes- cocktails were AMAZING and staff was great. Clean establishment too. Best thing we ordered were the Conch Fritters which to our delight were superb and we would go back just for some cocktails and the fritters :) UPDATE: This is not a false review. You DID serve conch fritters in June of last year (2013) when my husband and I were traveling through. We sat and spoke with (YOU) the owner for over 30 minutes! Just realized Yelp had only 'saved' my review but never submitted it so I just submitted it. Sorry buddy, but it is a true and real review of our experience we had there. Perhaps and hopefully the food has changed since then, again the service was fine. I noticed all of your replies to reviews are to the 1-2 star reviewers in which you either bash the reviewer or attempt to discredit their review. I would suggest taking the feedback humbly, as the owner and chef, and listen to the reviews and work to make the food and customers experience better.

Good food meets mediocre service and a complete lack of attention to detail. I'll start with the good- When they execute a dish, it can beat any meal in Hollywood. However, their lack of execution, service, detail and hastily prepared food falls short on all ends. We ordered an appetizer hearts of palm salad that waiter repeatedly said had avocado. I ordered it based on his description. The salad came out and was wonderful, however it didn't have a shred of avocado. I overheard the table next to me say, "Wow, theirs doesn't have avocado either". Clearly the waiter didn't know that it didn't include it or misrepresented the dish. For our main courses I ordered the Beef Bourguignon, which was excellent. The side of mash that came with it came out cold. I requested to have it warmed. The chef obviously warmed it in the microwave, because it came back with a layer of oil on top and was more of a soup than mashed potatoes. My wife ordered scallops which came out with a large shrimp wedged between them. The menu did not state that the scallops came with shrimp or any other surprise ingredients. My wife has a food allergy with shrimp that would get her violently ill. We returned the dish, but when it came back the scallops smelled rotten. In fact, I could smell them from across the table which is never a good sign. For the first time in years we had to return another dish. The waiter assured us that everything was "fresh" and proceeded to argue with us. It was clear that the scallops were old and nearly rotten, Outside of the inept menu descriptions and unbalanced food service, the entire restaurant was a scene of chaos. They were packed with customers, which I assume was a rarity. 4 or 5 tables waited at least an hour for basic appetizers and I could see the wait staff and owners arguing in the kitchen. The stress level from all the staff was clearly visible. I also noticed that while a waitress was describing a dish to a table next to us that another waiter (or possible owner) interrupted them regarding a problem, which was unprofessional and very rude to the people placing an order. We were also approached by 4 different people and were asked the same questions by a staff that clearly wasn't trained properly. I asked myself as we left if I would ever return. The answer was no. While Face has the potential to be a great restaurant with excellent food presentation and great dishes when executed, the other factors make this place impossible to enjoy. A "Restaurant: Impossible" style makeover is sorely needed here.

We were so pleased and relieved to discover Chef Michel's beautiful restaurant and perfectly fresh, expertly prepared dishes and well-chosen wine list. We had the freshest grouper ever, served with a ratatouille in which the flavors of the veggies were allowed to shine! The filet mignonette with cracked pepper and the fettuccine al fredo were delectable as well. The setting is serene with every detail meticulously attended to. The best part is when Chef Michel comes out to welcome you and shares tales of the food he enjoys preparing for his young family members. Come here to savor a spectacular modern French cuisine.
I had beef bourguignon and tasted the bouillabese, both pretty good, tasty and well priced. Wine was average and ceasar salad not so super fresh or even crispy. Still Face deserves a 4 star rating considering it was a monday night. D

If you are looking for a fun, culinary dining experience FACE Restaurant is a must! We selected the Blue Crab strudel topped with mango chutney sauce. This appetizer is a unique compilation of blue crab and phyllo dough accompanied by either a cinnamon or all spice. The flat bread options were very unique. We went with the RTB2 flat bread. Slices of roasted turkey breast, caramelized apple and baked brie cheese covered with a cranberry spread. This flat bread allows you to have a taste of Thanksgiving Day dinner in June. Entrees included; Le Boeuf Bourguignon. This is a braised beef marinated with red wine and finished with a whiskey. This beef dish presents a big bold rich flavor and will turn non-red drinkers into a red wine drinker quick. The Scallop Porcini Mushroom Fricassee was a smaller portion w/ 4 mid-sized scallops. Mussels Mariniere - Prince Edward Mussels was succulent. The textures of the mussels were perfect and the shallot was a nice surprise within garlic cream sauce. This was my favorite dish! Lastly dessert was amazing - Crème Brulee and Colonial were the desserts of choice. The crème brulee was well received. The Colonial is a lemon sorbet served with a shot of vodka. The vodka is dumped into the sorbet and then mixed with the fresh mint and strawberries. This dessert is the perfect accompaniment for the hot summer months in south Florida. Chef Michele came out and detailed each entree. His love for each dish was evident, and his enthusiasm is contagious. He even bought us a drink. The service was spot on! This is an absolutely, amazing experience.

ok, I guess I am luck that I adventure every weekend. So I looked for a 4 or 5 star place to try while I am out on a walk. I am so lucky. and here is my review let's start with the things that are important the first Sunday of the month is a brunch that has drag queens ( cross dressers ). reservation are required the show is a blast with that said, I did have the best time and the food was great note if you are on a diet you need to eat turkey ( everyone I overhear said the turkey was to die for ) I happen to have the roast beef which was very good. my salad was perfect, and my desert was perfect. portion size was just right, I did not feel stuffed nor did i feel hungry for more. the brunch menu was perfect and I left the place as happy as I could think. they also had all you could drink of specific drinks, which were perfectly made. I got to admit the dish presentation was fantastic. I guess I was lucky, this review only covers this drag brunch, and I had a great time. I'm glad that it's once a month, this way I can not wait until the next first Sunday of the month. Side note : Bathrooms SPOTLESS, never have I seen a men's bathroom spotless and so clean. I could have eaten in it. That tells me of the quality control of the place. clean bathrooms = clean kitchen = which means good food overall
our waiter Matthew was just great, it was our first time and he went over the menu and specials in detail. My husband had tomato bisque soup- delicious, I had the fig and marscapone cheese flatbreads- wonderful. My husband then had the best tuna steak ever and I had the veal stew and ate every morsel. Chocolate bon bons for dessert completed a great meal. The owner and chef came out to talk to us which was so very nice and he explained how he acquires such fresh seafood. It was our first time but not our last......

My boyfriend and I dropped in early yesterday evening for some drinks and we ended up ordering/enjoying some great appetizers. The bartender was nice enough to give us a sample of a house cocktail while we sipped on malbecs. We ended up ordering two flatbreads - the margherita and the vegetarian. Both were fabulous and light enough so that we didn't overindulge before meeting our friends for dinner. We will definitely be back soon!

Down in Hollywood for a stroll on the boardwalk and stopped at Face for dinner on the way home. Very nice decor and an interesting menu. Foie Gras was prepared well. Snapper done just right. Good bottle of wine. Good service. The chef came out to greet us. This was a nice surprise and if you like French cuisine I recommend Face.

The food is great, but the service is extremely slow. I went with a group of 6 for lunch and we waited 45 minutes for our food. We asked for our soup to be brought with our sandwiches, but by the time the sandwiches came out, the soup was cold. Only 4 sandwiches made it to the table; they forgot about the other two. Another coworker's side salad went missing. I understand that things happen and sometimes service is slower than ideal, but a little "I'm sorry for the wait" goes a long way. I'm not the type to demand discounts or freebies for being inconvenienced, but an apology was warranted and would have made me feel like they cared. I won't be returning.

Great place. The flatbread is delicious. But what made me a fan was the foie gras. I was expecting an appetizer of pate, as in any restaurant. But what was served was true foie gras. Warm, smooth, fresh. Accompanied by delicious caramelized onions and a berry compote. Absolutely delicious. I will return.

Kimi is wonderful - friendly, knowledgeable and light hearted. Beautiful foie gras and mussels!

Food was wonderful, but very disappointed in the service. No meal is worth a 3 hour wait !

Mmm ! My friends and I stopped by here on a night out in downtown Hollywood. We got a brownie topped with ice cream and an order of the creme brûlée and a glass of Sauvignon and a glass Cabernet. One star less because the brownie was definitely not fresh. Prob not that hard to keep brownie batter in the fridge and bake a brownie the moment it's ordered. The creme brûlée was also okay. Simply because the dish was very shallow so I felt like we were getting shorted. Plus the brûléed sugar on top was a little thick... Maybe too much sugar? Otherwise the service was great! The waiter kept checking on us and we even met the owner! The decor was beautiful too. Great place to go out with friends
(4)Jessi M.

Truly a fun environment, great service and good food. Sunday brunch is a must.

We walked on and were greeted promptly. The decor was simple-flowy drapes between tables. Bar was cool. There were small solar powered lamps on the tables, but none of them worked. I think they should invest in some real candles-better ambiance. The waiter approached us promptly and we were given water, champagne, and bread. I ordered the prix fixed selections-crab strudel app, pan seared flounder, and triple chocolate brownie dessert. My fiance got the vegetable soup, warm Napoleon of vine ripe tomato and goat cheese, and the duck confit. The soup was ordered only because they didn't have french onion soup--in a French restaurant? The soup was puréed and quite tasty especially when the bread was dipped in it. The crab strudel on its own was kind of dry. The tomato app was very good. I used the basil sauce and goat cheese from the tomato dish and put in on the crab and it was delish! My fish was spectacular. It was lightly seared with crushed almonds on top. A boat made from a zucchini and ratatouille was served with it. The duck was superb-crispy and melted in your mouth. The dessert was scrumptious. The downside of the place was the price of the alcohol-2 vodka tonics in a small glass were $24!! My 3 course meal was $29! And, the chef came out twice and visited tables-1 table twice, but he didn't acknowledge us:(. It would've gotten five stars if these areas weren't lacking.

I wish I could give 5 stars to this place, but entree is a big thing, and for that I will take 2 stars off. Service was amazing! Dimitri was really good suggested us nice wines to pair our food, explained the specials, set up our table perfectly and cleaned just on perfect time without rushing us out. The place is beautiful, but I was not fan of the lightning for the reason that it changes the color of the food and it feels just weird not recognizing the colors of what you're eating.. The apps were DELISH! We had the Foie Gras (really good with a light sweet touch), the Blue Crab Strudel (really good as well but to me it could be served a little hotter) and the Tomatoes skinless warm with goat cheese (also tasty and the olive oil mix in the bottom was delish), the Chef came to our table to present the dishes, that was really nice as well. The Entree was really blah. I ordered the Skirt steak (super super flavorless with a strong taste of blood, I had to return and usually I never do that) I don't eat fried stuff very much, but I was told the french fries was really 'french' style, so I ordered, to me was just like regular flavorless fries. My friends ordered the Sautéed Shrimp (the shrimps were jumbo and comes with shells, head and 'mustaches' I know some people like it.. But we don't.. I wish they could make the size of the shrimp "knowable" before we order it, It was also extremely over coocked), Filet mignon (nothing special about it) and the Pan seared flounder (the best of the four dishes). With that we had a bottle of a Rosé (witch I don't remember the name) , I exchange my steak for tuna salad and I only eat the eggs and the olives, the tuna was so small and tasted weird, not like fresh, and I believe because of the lightning, the greens on my salad was dark brown, so I didn't feel comfortable eating it. Well overall I will recommend anyways for a nice ambience, drinks and apps :)
(3)Mary A.
our waiter Matthew was just great, it was our first time and he went over the menu and specials in detail.
(5)Brooke D.

(5)Ashley R.
(2)Dan R.
Phenomenal. Even the side salads are well executed. I'm always impressed by them. Great food, staff and restaurant space.
(5)Rick V.
