The absolutely best thing about the Holiday Family Restaurant? It's less than a mile from my front door. The 2nd best thing? The food is great! Some times the service is iffy, kind of like to day, where the waitress was abrupt, we didn't get our bread for the table (which is OK, since I'm on a low carb diet) and she just didn't seem to want to be there, but the food.. is always really damned good. The prices are REALLY good as well, especially for what you get. It's very much a "Local's" place, where they DO know your name when you come in if you've been more than three times. So stop in and sit a spell. You'll be glad you came.

I decided to give this place another try for breakfast like what could go wrong? The owner had to tell the waitress to come over because we had been sitting there for a while and we looked upset. we spent an hour waiting for food to come to us. If your a regular than your treated I feel like family if not well then your not. I feel like they don't want my business and don't want me to be a regular. We tried to tell them about the wait and they made some lame excuse about the chef. Hello, someone who is a regular came in after us and got there food ten minutes before we did! What does that tell me......I'm not wanted.

Great food at good prices. Owners are always there and making sure you are tended to. Breakfast is good and has a diner type of feel and super clean.

So I get back to NPR, and I'm hungry for some breakfast. Jimbo, across the street says, "Have you been to the Blue Roof yet?" Huh?.....and off we go. The one thing I really enjoy about living in "the slums of Pasco County" are all the family owned restaurants. The food is good, and the prices are GREAT! HFR is among the cream of the crop! I had one of their skillet breakfasts. Mine was the Ole. It was a tasty scramble of eggs, peppers, onions, chorizo sausage, etc. As seems to be a tradition in these sorts of places, there was a while lot of food on the plate, and I ate every last bit of it. Yum! I thought I already had my favorite breakfast place picked out in the area. HFR is sure going to make it difficult the next time I want some breakfast!

This must not be the same restaurant that is review here by other people even though the address is the same. This could be compared to a low end truck stop except the food here is not as good. I had the "Country Fried Steak". This was the typical mystery meat of soy, fillers and beef flavoring material that was formed into a paddy at some factory then deep fried into a crunchy card and covered with a tasteless white paste that was presumed to be gravy. Need less to say, I will not return. You could do so much better.

Great breakfasts. I get carry out from here regularly: the prices are great, and the food is good though unspectacular. Their turkey club sandwich has sliced bird on it too, not cold-cuts! Also home-baked pies. Yum!
