Open late, good atmosphere and nice staff. The hot dogs are fantastic, but I usually get the steak arepa, which is cheesy perfection with the arepa fried to a crisp exterior. I like to have it with the passion fruit juice and a few of their sauces on the side. If you want to share something really filling, you should try the Picada de Bollo con Carne! I had a bad experience with the burger (way too dry, even with sauces,) but since there's more than a few recommendations in the other reviews for the burger and I had it a long time ago, I'm willing to forgive them for this misstep on the strength of their godly arepa. I come here regularly and I always love to bring friends that have never been so they can see how fantastic this place is.

Hawaiian Hot Dog & Apple Soda make me feel like I'm the only girl in the worlllldddddd. Their burgers are especially good. Fantastic place, and with the renovations, might I say they're looking better! I come here for the best hot dogs and burgers in Miami.

This place was amazing for a late night bite on the way home from being out. We had just come back from a place we didn't want to be at and wanted a little bite. My boyfriend ordered the Italian dog, 2 chicken empanadas, and and stuffed arepa. I ordered the chicken shish kabob. Since it's run by one person each time was prepared one by one. But every time we took a bite into each item it was delicious. Being Colombian, I have to say the food was as authentic as it gets and gives Los verdes a good run for their money. Only set back is it's well hidden in the back of a shopping plaza, which can be quite scary if you don't know the area. But the one person who ran the place gave us great service and even better food. Perfect for those late intoxicated nights.

So I went to dog house for the first time today and I must say I have lived in this area all my life and I've never been here WHY it was very good. Los perros WHO? Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was we walked in and no one was at the counter to greet us besides that very good. It's alittle off the beaten path but worth trying.

Dog House. My one and only fast food love. I generally hate McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, and all those other burger fast food franchises. But Dog House, I love. My best friend (Anne L.), introduced me to this place and it always brings back good memories of us eating together at Dog House. In fact, I think I need to make a trip back there with her. I need a good hawaiian hotdog! Yummm. Their burgers are really good too. And their salchi-papa. Finger-lickin-good. I love having some Dog House with apple soda. I need to go back here! My mouth is watering just thinking about their food.

The food here is great especially for a late night munchie run. I've been a patron at this place for years. Prices are reasonable and the food is prepared fresh. Since this is a Latin owned and operated establishment, expect the plasma t.v. sets to view programs broadcast in Spanish. However they do watch the occasional English program. Try their delicious empanadas with an Apple Ambassador soda, yum.

Awesome place. I would have never known this place was around the corner of my house if it wasn't for Yelp. I read the reviews and after a night of hanging out with friends and coming home we were starving I said Dog House it is. If I can't trust Yelp who can I trust ? Seems like this place is the perfect munchies food after a night of partying. Its a columbian theme location with authentic columbian hotdogs, areas and burgers. We ordered the following, Chicken Empanada, Chicken Arepa, The Italian Dog and a Chicken Shish Kabob. Umm, yea we were hungry don't judge me!!!! The girl in the front was very helpful with my order. About 7-10 minutes later our food was ready. SWEET BABY JESUS!!! Even my girlfriend who is Columbian was shocked with how good and authentic the food tasted. The Italian dog was very good what really made it stand out was the bacon and a green sauce that it had that was orgasmic. The empanadas were also very good, you can really taste the corn in the empanada which really made me enjoy it more. Then there was the Arepa, Magnanimous!!! yea go look that word up.. This thing was massive in size and flavor. That Cheese... That Corn... The Chicken... The feeling in my stomach... Words can't describe. Now that I know, I foresee Duke Status Soon!!!!

Woah, what a change for the worse this place has made. It was my trusty neighborhood joint for a quick, tasty and cheap late night bite. My favorite was the chicken pincho (shish kabob). They used to be made of large succulent marinated chunks of poultry perfection. Now they are small pieces of dried out freezer-burn tasting hard-to-chew balls of salt. They were so salty I could not finish them. They might as well have served me up a piping hot turd on a stick. It was that bad. There was a new guy manning the front of the house so I'm assuming they changed owners or they changed chef or they let the dog out. The only thing worse than seeing a good restaurant go out of business is seeing a good restaurant go bad. WHY?....WHY! (Me on my knees looking up crying and cursing the heavens)

This is probably the laziest fast food place in Miami. None of their food items have any fucking flavor and its just the typical garbage Miami has started to sell because of the large Colombian community reminiscing about their homeland. *sigh* I bet my ass tastes more like authentic Colombian food than the food at this place.... I cannot believe all these 5 star reviews for this place from all these bloated people. First of all this place is like a -100 stars at best. Located in a shitty shopping center and next to yet another bad Colombian restaurant, the Dog House is just a local Colombian fast food place that serves complete shit. Their empanadas? Filled with a ton of potatoes and no beef, which tastes like they've been frozen for a while before deep frying. Their Hawaiian hot dogs? The bread sucks and strongly resembles the Sedanos brand. The sausage tastes like it was heated up on a microwave then sprinkled chopped up Lays potato chips on top. Cheap ingredients and horrible presentation. Is this what authentic Colombian is to people? Cheap, tasteless and lazy? For $5.00 dollars you can get a Subway sandwich that tastes WAY better than the Dog House Hawaiian hot dog. The only good thing about this restaurant is that its open late so mostly everyone eating here is drunk or high enough to enjoy the food here.... Which can explain the good reviews....

I've always loved the food here but the last time I went the girl at the counter was so rude. I was there for maybe 10 mins and the girl never acknowledged me or my friend. I asked her a question about the menu and she acted as if she didn't hear me. We decided to leave after that. I didn't even care about the food anymore.
(1)Leticia S.
After reading some the reviews my husband and I gave it a shot. We weren't very pleased. We will stick with Los Verdes or Pepitos in Doral.
(1)Reinolds C.
I came because I live about 3 blocks away... I have always lived by 137 and bird by the original Los Pedros and I would say that this place is lower end copy of LP .. I ate the Hawaiian Hot dog... The lil chips where the cheaper slimmer ones, the hot dog was way to small... They had the food done in less then 2 mins... Melted cheese by microwave? No thanks won't come here any more
(2)J R.
Unacceptable attitude. I have been here a dozen times and here's what is consistent: no one at the front desk during lunch, monitors that only show pictures of food without prices, they keep the menus hidden behind the counter, You have to call several times just to get someone to come out and when they do they're curt, impolite and don't even smile. I'm sick of their IDGAF attitude. Will not go back
(1)Brian P.
Hawaiian dog and beef empanada are the best in town. Every time I doubt their greatness I come back again and am reminded of why I love coming here.
(5)Jose R.
Chicken burger!! Thats all i get but all there food is great. Cheap, fast and there sauces are better than any other colobian place
(5)Nasha P.
Went there once like at midnight because a friend of mine's boyfriend was hungry, and living in Pembroke Pines, there aren't a lot of places to go to eat at that time that is not the typical fast food places. So we got there he ordered, his sandwich looked so good, I just had to get one, even though I typically do not like eating after 9pm. But again, it looked so good I had to try it. I'm not sure of the name, but it looked like a long hot dog bun, filled with meat chunks, potato crisps, and a pineapple sauce with ketchup and mayo, I know it might sound weird, but trust me, the combination was amazing :) and the best part was that the meat was tender. The reason I didn't give it a 5, is the Mora juice I ordered, was not freshly made and tasted like it had 50 grams of sugar. Overall good affordable food!
(4)Justo M.
I generally try not to eat to much fast food, but on the day or two a month that I treat myself, I am always on the lookout for something different than the corporate slop. So when I was told that there are lines of young people very late at night I thought I would try it. So my girlfriend and I went on a Sunday. It was midday, we were the only ones there, so we got very quick service. I had the Hawaiian Dog, my girlfriend had the Italian Dog. I thought I would hate it. I mean a hot dog with pineapple as a condiment? No way this was going to be good, but it was better than good. I would go again.
(4)Janessa A.
Wow, my b.f took me here the other day after raving about it when his friend introduced him to this place its a small little place that seems relatively newly designed inside. They offer different hot dogs, burgers, kabobs, empanadas, smoothies, juices, etc. We ordered a burger that was only 4.75 and you must get it with the house sauce, it tastes somewhat sweet like pineapple or mango but its a creamy sauce we got it with onions, tomatoes and lettuce, OMG!!! the meat is so different, it tastes so fresh and like a hint of lime or something it is amazing that Im craving one right now.
(5)Duke T.
If you like hot dogs and want to try a new twist to your traditional fast foods this is a place for you to try... They have your traditional fast foods (hamburgers, French fries, empanadas, etc) but what made it shine for me were the dogs... The hot dogs have your regular condiments ketchup, mustard, mayo (if you like) but here's the kicker the pineapple sauce with tiny fries they add to it is what takes it beyond the norm... It's not an extravagant place in fact it's a whole in the wall but don't let it discourage you and go in you won't regret it... Happy eating...
(5)Larry L.
I try my best to stay away from this place do to the fact i get addicted to it easily and i will continue eating it for a week straight. They have a lot to offer starting with their different type of hot dogs. They sell Hot dogs that consist of different types of sausages and not just your regular Ball Park Frank. They also serve Burgers, Natrual Juices and Shakes! What i come here for is their Burger which is only $4.50 and i always get it with the pineapple sauce! That sauce is a must, at first when i heard pineapple i wasn't to sure but once i tasted it, it's what made this place irresistible. Another thing that makes this burger so great, the meat patty doesn't remind me of Burger King, Or Mcdonalds Meat patty. When i took a bite of this burger it reminded me of my mom's Cooking when she use to Make the Meat Patties by hand w/ Ground beef!! If it reminds me of my mom's cooking then it's not good but GREAT!

this is a place were u have to go open minded! it is not too amazing to the eye, but once your mouth bites into this hot dog your taste buds will thank you!! it is a small place with a counter against the wall and stools to sit on. you walk in and go to cashier counter and order off of their eraser board type menu. there is a variety of food treats to try... the are famous for their dogs. faint to the heart so late (it was almost 11:30pm!) i decided to play it safe and ordered a chicken empanada - my hubby was more adventurous and went for the Hawaiian Hot Dog. the price is amazing! we got 1 hot dog, 1 empanada and 1 coke for $6.50!! not bad for a quick midnight snack!!! After a few minutes same guy who took order, charged us, goes to back and picks up food - places same on top of counter and you have to pick it up (no fancy frills here) upon receiving the hot dog at a first glance, my hubby thought to himself "What have i gotten myself into!) it was a nice size dog (i would say bun length type) topped with a sauce (their house sauce - no idea what it contains) the a thick yellow sauce which is the pineapple sauce and then lots and lots of tiny crunchy pixie type sticks all tucked bun.... after staring at it for a few, he picked it up and took a bit... that's all it took.... he's hooked!! the combination of sweet from pineapple together with the saltiness of the dog and softness of the bun with melted cheese was a party in his mouth!!! i was able to have a small bit and it is truly yummy to the tummy!!! the flavor does seem kind of funky at first but immediately grows on you!! i wanted to snag the darn thing away from him and eat it!!! but i did have my empanada.... this was nice too. it is your typical Colombian style empanada which has the crust made of pure corn meal... nicely stuffed with shredded chicken and spices. it is deep fried thou and it is small (guess normal size really for an empanada) even thou it was fried, there was chicken inside which was still cold.. bu t it did have nice flavor.... there are other stuff on menu we would like to try, but we truly find it difficult to plan on coming back skipping the dog!! NOT HAPPENING!! they have great hours (believe they are open 24 hrs!) not too packed when we went and find it a great place to go to after clubbing or before for a quick inexpensive bit!!

Whooped out my phone to go my trusty Yelp App and found dog house. Wasn't as impressed as the others that have come to this establishment and enjoyed it. All I can really say is mehhhh. There are much better Colombian hot dog varieties at other establishments that are nearby. I took mine to-go and took them home. But before leaving, I opened up the box and took a quick peek outside. When I laid eyes on 'em for the first time, I was very disappointed. I figured while I was there, I'd grab some of the sauces that were on the tables and dress them accordingly myself. So...pineapple sauce, squirt; cilantro sauce, squirt; salsa rosada, squirt. Made my own designs and everything! Got home, opened it back up and am I glad I dressed them dogs with some extra sauce. Because it actually tasted like I was expecting it to taste. But still, was unimpressed...there is much better out there. Needless to say, my craving for a Colombian dog was not satisfied...boo hoo.

I cannot believe that a restaurant was willing to loose a LOYAL customer over less $0.25. All my friends and family are always raving about Dog House's competitor, Los Verdes. However, I was a strong advocate and would only stick to Dog House. Yes, I would order my food from Dog House and whomever else wanted, could order from elsewhere! But today? I phoned in an order of a little over $35.. I asked for extra sauce and the girl tells me only 5 per order. I had a blank stare because I ordered 4 hot dogs and 8/9 empanadas.. I asked her if they could make an exception, she went to the back and returned saying no they would have to charge, I asked how much, she said $.25 each (after going to the back again). Alright fine, give me 6-7 extra sauces. When it's time to pay, I only had my debit card with me, she says minimum is $5. I'm already huffing and puffing.. So I go out to my car to scavenger hunt for change.. My total was $1.75. I only found $1.50. When I return with my change I tell her what I found and she takes back 1 sauce. What!? Are you serious?! I just walked out. But never again.

These hot dogs kill my stomach. I used to eat here all the time, but after a while the hotdogs started having a bad affect on me. Now I don't want to go back.

Nothing beats a good hot dog. I came upon this place today and decided to follow some Yelp recommendations. I ordered the Hawaiian dog and an apple soda. My goodness, there must be crack in that sauce because that hotdog was sooooo good. The Hawaiian is a basic dog in a bun covered in a sweet pineapple sauce and what tasted like mayo as well. All of this was topped with "chips" which were basically little crispy potato bits (like grains of rice, but fried potato). The imported apple soda was also really sweet and a perfect compliment to the hot dog. Overall a great bite of food for just over $5. I'd come back again for another, especially since this place is open late.

BEST hang-over food! Everyone raves about Los Verdes and Los Perros, but those places don't hold a candle to Dog House. Been coming here for years. We usually order ahead and take it home. Their Hawaiian Perro is delicious, and so is their maizitos. Love their juices too. The service is whatever, but their food makes up for it.
