Inexpensive, but mediocre sushi. Spicy tuna had an aftertaste, had to return it.. Thai salad was good, although for $8 could have been a bigger portion. Service was fast, friendly atmosphere however, we are not coming back..

The curry here is excellent. I read other reviews indicating otherwise. Red curry with shrimp. Tasted like homemade. The nigiri tune sushi was slso good. Nothing fancy as a restaurant, really delicious food. Price is worth the money for the quality, not the surroundings. Excellent food.

I always order my food ahead of time for pick up. It's always quick and the service is great. The ginger dressing is super good and my go-to roll is the dragon roll. Also they have delicious Thai donuts! Definitely recommend this place

I love this place. It changed its name to Thai-one-on. New owner and the food is even better. Very intimate setting. Very diverse menu. Thai dumplings ate excellent. Tom Kha chicken soups was delicious. Pad Thai with clear noodles is how I judge all Thai places. The Pad Thai is delicious. Had to write this review while eating. Now back to the food.

It's a decent restaurant. The food is good and they offer pretty wide variety of sushi for an affordable price. The lunches are also good.

Really good food. Quick and friendly service. I enjoy all the items in the menu. The new management does make it a bit different but in a good way. Seems a lot more friendlier. It's also pretty good for delivery or take out since it's close to my house.

I've been. Coming here for a very long time now. And now that the owners have changed things have gotten better. I love their chicken and coconut milk soup. I think is called Tom Kha Ghai. It's got the right amount of spices and kick to it. The owner is very friendly and really makes you feel welcome. I recommend coming here. And the take out. That fact that it's so close and convenient is a plus

A lil hole in the wall spot was scared in ordering food but glad I did.. Very friendly..owner was present checking up on us.. Food looks fresh taste great Will definitely come again!!

Thai food is horrible. Green curry and basil chicken has no flavor, tasteless. Thai food itself has a lot of flavor and i cant understand how a cheff can ruin a thai dish. Never order from them again!

OMG...OMG...! Thai One On is the place to go for your sweet-to-spicy, and oh-so succulent Siamese curries; the contrast of sweet-to-heat is truly sublime. Of course, if you want to turn the wick up a couple of notches, you can do that too. And still, as the piquance dances on your palate, the luxurious flavor remains and is not overwhelmed. The owners are always on-site and could not be more cordial and/or gracious. And please DO NOT neglect opening your entree with an Ebiten Shrimp Tempura appy', you won't be disappointed. Eat da' Ebiten, eat da' Ebiten... Sometimes I'll have that exclusively, while I sip salacious Lychee Martinos and/or Tsing Tao's and engage in conversation. Do yourself a favor, treat yourself to a true and delicious Thai' dining experience @ da' Thai One On.

My husband and I had just come from a Kizomba class (which we missed) but my hubby wanted to make it up to me by taking me out for a quiet little dinner together. We started driving down Hallandale, not knowing where to go. We started to pass this place and wondered whether or not we wanted to go in because it seemed so small. I'm so glad we did! Wow...talk about "customer service"! Mike came by the table to check on us and we ended up having a wonderful conversation. It is so rare to have the business owner personally come out and make sure everyone is having a pleasant evening. Yes, it's not some fancy restaurant, but once you slide into one of the booths and settle down, you realize it's so worth it. I'm sorry some Yelpers didn't have a great experience, but our food was actually very good! We always have Tom Kha wherever we go for Thai food and theirs was spot on. I ordered sushi, which tasted great and my hubby had a curry thai dish which was also wonderful and had a great kick to it. We don't like overcrowded restaurants, so this wonderful little spot will definitely have us coming back.

Awesome sushi place with a great selection. I have been going here for 3 years, and have never been dissapointed. Excellent rolls and the mango with sticky rice is amazing!! Prices are the best I have seen in Miami.

This place has amazing home cooked food. We had the seaweed salas, curry chicken, potaoes and white rice and ended with Thai donuts! The donuts were amazing. It came with a thick, sweet creamy sauce, and that put the icing on the cake! Service was mediocre. All in all, I would return because of the amazing, authentic Thai food!

It's about time I finally give these guys a review, after years of enjoying their rolls and soups, and well natured attitudes. First of, my daughter, when she visits, which I wish she could do more often, does not go back to college without ordering her #C25 - Spicy Lover. And now when I miss her, I order that too, and it is 100% worth it. The service is fast and reliable. I am happy they are where they are and wish them that they prosper for many years!

Nice small establishment which is always more intimate. When you fist walk in you will see a big lit up board with the largest sushi selection I have seen in this area, so you will know exactly what you are getting. I ordered the Spicy Lover which is basically a spicy tuna roll and a spicy crab roll and the chicken Thai basil. They asked me how spicy I wanted it and since I LOVE heat I asked for Thai spicy which is the hottest. Everything came out in less then 10 mins. Granted it was just me and one other table there. Everything looked amazing. The sushi was not spicy at all but the Thai basil chicken made up for it. So I will be coming back in the near future cause the food was good and I saw this guy named Chris ( I over heard his name) come in to pick up an order, who needless to say was HOT, and maybe next time I will step my game up and ask for his number lol;)

I have been frequenting this restaurant for over five years. In fact, until I moved away to go to school, I was listed as their number one customer on their website. However, I just ordered for pick-up from them 2 days ago and I was a little disappointed with the service. I order the Spicy lover roll with extra spicy mayo and when I picked up my order and checked it, which I always do, I saw no spicy mayo at all. When I asked the lady working there for some, she said "well we usually charge for extra...". I already told them I wanted extra, they could have charged me from the very beginning. When I came home I saw that they didn't even give me any spicy sauce. I ordered a spicy lover roll and what they gave me was a PLAIN tuna roll and a PLAIN crab roll with PLAIN soy sauce. If I didn't check my order before leaving there would have been no spicy component to the order at all. What?!?!?!? If you would have asked me what I would rate them right after I came home and made this discovery, I would have said 1 star. BUT, the sushi was delicious. It was fresh and the rice was tasty, it tasted just like sushi rice should. The management has changed, the previous manager knows me and how I like my order. Just be sure to check your order if your picking something up, because they don't seem to care about getting orders right. I still love this restaurant, I just miss the previous manager.

Waa in the area and stopped by for a date night with my wife. The cozy small establishment communicates that it's family-run, and I knew from the get-go that this was going to be a pleasant experience. My wife and I left pleased with the friendly service, food quality, and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely come back whenever we're around.

This review is mainly for the service. Because it wasn't the greatest it has tainted my thoughts on the food... Ugh! Make sure they actually deliver to your area... we live off Sheridan and they took our online order, called to confirm and then called to ask about our address... ONE HOUR LATER our food arrived. The delivery guy was like "we don't deliver out here"... hopefully this instance teaches them to actually google map your destination instead of taking every order that comes through :/ Food was good- actually one of the best JB rolls I've had... but not taking the time to make sure you actually deliver to the area, very annoying...

I like to come here during lunch time because then of course it's less crowded. Even with some people in there during dinner time, it's not that loud. It has probably been the 4th time I'm eating in here and still no disappointment. The girl at the front a few times forgot to greet us but apologized constantly. It must have been the take out or online orders. I think they shut down the one in North Miami, where we first tried it and it wasn't as busy. They have two parts in the menu; one for Thai, the other for Japanese. I always eat the panang chicken curry. It feels good to eat this dish with some amount of spice along with creamy coconut milk. I also like their ginger dressing they use for their house salad (you can find on their Japanese menu), it's fresh and cooling, which I like before eating something spicy. Ralph usually orders the Thai favorite that is beef sauteed with cashew nuts (more than you think) peppers, mushrooms celery, and water chestnuts. They put a lot of cashews in dish, which he really liked. For a decent price and in good environment, it makes me keep coming back to this place. Oh, and there's a 10% discount if you order online through their website. :)

This restuarant had the best review when I searched for some local places to eat - but I'm not sure it deserved 5 stars. The service was very very friendly and the menu extensive! The atmosphere wasn't quite what I'd expect from an Asian restaurant - it was more like a pizzeria with a few Asian touches. Sports Center was on the TV and some 90s rock music was playing in the background. I tried the Tom Yung soup - a fav of mine - but instead of Shrimp I had it with Veggies - and wow did the veggies taste yummy and fresh!! I then had some sushi and while it was good, it certainly wasn't anything like what I've had back at home (and I'd expect fresher seafood here). Overall, a good place to eat, but I might not have gone here if it weren't for the review.

This place is "hole in a wall" type of a place but the food is spectacular. The portions are generous and pricing is fair. I have tried every sushi combo meal on the menu and I have couple of favorites: Spicy tuna lover, Sea of love, Tuna tataki. So delicious. Also, if you order online there is a 10% off of your bill. Give it a try and you definitely will not be disappointed.

Tried this place because of yelper reviews. It is an alright little place in appearance and decor. I usually do not order whole fish unless it is from a seafood restaurant, because I have never had a fresh fish from a non seafood restaurant.I decided to break the rules and I ordered a 3 sauce whole snapper fish. The fish was not fresh, it kind of had tough flesh a 1/4 inch into the flesh. The 3 sauce was very very good, but I could smell the fish sauce that Thai put into all their food, and smelling it was nauseous, but again the dipping sauce was delicious. The fish came on a place with many fresh vegetables which is typical of Thai food again and they were very tasty , especially if dipped into the dipping sauce. I always order spring rolls they were mediocre at best, I believe they left them in the oil a little to long, because the crust was somewhat hard, not flaky.I beleive from my expereince with the sauce, and the vegetables this place is actually a good restaurant. I cannot really pin the fish on them because all non-seafood restaurants basically give you bad fish I should have known better. but I decided to try it out anyway.Would I repeat, not sure, I have a couple of very good Thai places i go to. Would I tell someone not to go here, no I would tell them to go, because they make very good authentic thai food, as I can tell by the seasoning and sauce.

Wow are we all talking about the same restaurant? Went for lunch, The place a little hole in the wall! Scary empty 1 other table. No raw fish for me! Had the Tom Yum Kai I ordered it Hot and I think they may have used a sweet hot chili paste it was a little off. Along with that I had the Chicken Pad Thai. Again if it wasn't for the mild heat it would have no flavor at all, totally bland!

Nice fresh sushi and a large menu to satisfy other guests who may not like sushi. This is what one would call the good hole one the wall restaurant. I've been coming here for just a little over a year. I have always had a good experience.

I eat here all the time, I like it lots. Food is awesome and service is not bad. Gets crowded but why wouldn't it! People keep coming back... I will miss this place when I move.

I have been coming to Hallandale Sushi Thai for many years. The salmon is the absolute best I've had. When I go to other restaurants in Miami and elsewhere I compare their salmon to this place...and it's never better than here. The fish is very fresh and feels it. If you're looking for a super trendy, expensive Japanese/Thai restaurant this is NOT the place, but if you're looking for quality food and friendly staff with a nice atmosphere, it's a great option.

I go to the Laundrymat across the street, and every time, the smells from this place waft across the street and call my names. My BF and I went on a Sunday afternoon, had a few drinks, some soups, and some lunch entrees. All was really good. The Tom Ka soups are so light and delicious. The red Curry is equally good. Its a cute little place with outdoor seating and a happy staff. The lighting is a bit weird (those odd fluorescence) but non the less, a nice little place for lunch. (they also have a lunch menu and everything is about 7 bux.

I wanted to note that the address listed on Yelp.com seems to be incorrect. 134 N Federal Highway is the address for Eddie Hill's, which has a similar look and feel to Hallandale Sushi and Thai (I would guess same owners) but this restaurant is actually located at 1111 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd. I have passed by this place a million times and had a weird craving for tempura tonight so decided to check it out for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised! I've had the tempura from Eddie Hill's before and didn't think it was nearly as good. I ordered online since you get 10% off and when I went to pick up (around 7:30 on a Wednesday night) this place was completely dead, though I thought it was kind of cute on the inside. I had the shrimp tempura and teriyaki beef which were both perfectly cooked, along with the salad w/ginger dressing. It also comes with rice so you will definitely be full! I will eat here again and look forward to trying some of their other stuff when I'm having another "ethnic food" craving.
