Love the typical Hispanic feel of the restaurant. They have up flags from several Latin America countries which is nice, even though the menu looks more Colombian than anything else. I was starving so I ordered La Bandeja Paisa! Everything was great, rice, fried egg, beans, arepa, chicharron, colombian sausage, except the bit of steak, that was tough and chewy, it even looked dry. But I won't let that ruin my dinner. I missed Hispanic food, so this was a great choice, tried a little bit of everything. For dessert, caramel flan! It was delicious! I would definitely come back but with more company, the atmosphere would be great with a big group!

Don't normally write restaurant reviews but felt a need tonight. El Sabor recommended by local residents. Only one other pair of diners in Lake Worth restaurant when we arrived. Ordered shrimp cerviche appetizer which was wonderful but that was high point of the evening. Paella ordered and explicitly requested without mussels. Dish arrived with mussels and mussel pieces throughout - sent back to kitchen but just returned without the mussel shells but mussel bits still throughout rest of dish. Inedible. When told of issue cook came to table, looks at uneaten meal and states "seafood mix" contains mussels and could NOT be removed from paella mix. No other explanation or apology. Paella entree NOT removed from check either. 2 orders of fajitas at table acceptable but not exciting. Really wanted to like this place but service and food execution disappointing. Maybe other El Sabor location at Palm Beach Gardens would have been better.

This place is great, a hidden gem! The service was excellent, attentive without being annoying. We had the nachos to start, very nice and light. Guacomole was yum! I had the churrasco cooked medium, it was delicious!! Plantains were cooked to perfection, and the pinto beans were a pleasant surprise. Finished off with the flan, and oh my, so good!! They have a full bar, although I just had a house merlot which was better than average. All in all, we will be back soon! Don't miss out on this, as it is easy to pass over in a little strip mall just south of forest hill on jog.

I went here and even though the service was a little slow for the most part it was a pleasant experience, the staff was polite, the restaurant was clean and well kept, and they give you a good size portion of food as well!!!!! Well worth the money

Had a wonderful experience this morning at this restaurant! The outside doesn't give the inside justice. On the inside it is very spacious and the waiters were very kind. I give it four stars because I was pretty turned off by the first waiter who seated us picking something up from the ground with his bare hands... (It could've been swept up, I'm a waitress too) Anyway, we started off with some coffee and milk (cafe con leche) and it was perfect. Then we ordered some beef empenadas at $1.99 each to start (we ate it too fast for pics) and they give you some sauce with it that was so very good we asked for more! I ordered the chorizo burrito and my boyfriend had the arepa with eggs perico (I think that's how it's spelled) and I preferred his but both were very good. Safe to say we'll be back! We also took advantage of their $20 for $10 on yelp!

This restaurant is in a little strip mall and can be easily overlooked. It is bigger inside than it appears. It has a nice bar and is very clean which I appreciate. My husband and I were greeted by a young waitress. I'm not sure if she totally understood English but the owner? Came over to help with our order. They were both very pleasant. My husband and I ordered chips and salsa as they are not given or included. The cost was $2.95 I believe. It came with a basket of fresh chips and salsa. It wasn't a huge basket and was gone in no time, but I didn't want to be charged for more. The chips seemed fresh and were good as was the salsa. My husband and I ordered Churrasco steaks which came with black beans, Rice and plantains. The steaks were wonderfully cooked and moist. Very good. I also enjoyed the plantains. They were not frozen and were not overly fried which was nice. My child ordered a grilled chicken breast which also was perfectly cooked. I had a few bites and really liked it. The food all seemed homemade and authentic. My only complaint was the nearly $3 for chips and salsa when typically they automatically come free at other restaurants. Likewise a soft drink was $3 which seemed overpriced and there are no free refills. My husbands two Sprites cost us $6.00. I can't recall how much my child's apple juice was either. So besides our meal we paid an extra $9+ just for one soft drink, refill and chips. Otherwise it was a great place. I will go back again for the steak but it won't be a place we frequent bc of them charging for every little thing. It can get overly pricey when it doesn't have to be.

Groupon took us here. Empanadas and guacamole were very good as were the sauces they served with them. My hubby had the breaded pork steak with rice and beans. He enjoyed it. I ordered the red snapper which was $18 for a bland over fried fish. My sons well done burger was basically medium raw. We sent it back and guess what? They put the same burger on the grill to cook longer. Talk about a big no no. Plus a bug was on the table that I wasn't sure if it came from the fish. Had to send back 2 out of 3 plates. No thanks

There is an old joke that if you go into a busy Chinese restaurant, and you are the only Anglo in the place, it must be good Same goes for El Sabor Latino #2. I was a little skeptical when I arrived on a Saturday night at 8 p.m., and there were only two other tables eating. I had a coupon from a restaurant site so nothing ventured nothing gained. I ordered a chorrizo appetizer. I received a sausage on a plate with a 3 inch round equivalent of a Spanish flat biscuit. The chorrizo was good, and it was only $2.99, but totally lacked presentation. About 830 pm, the place started filling up with large families. All of a sudden an empty restaurant was 65% full. I ordered the fried pork chop dinner with white rice and pinto beans although I asked to substitute the pinto beans and was offered steamed broccoli and carrot mix. There were two pork chops, and they were thin, but extremely flavorful and tender. The white rice was also nicely seasoned and the steamed veggies looked like they were a picture in a magazine they were so fresh. Three slices of fried plantains were on the plate, but they were not drained properly and were a little greasy. This is a local place, with good food, inexpensive prices, basic diner type tables and booths with a full bar. Basic silverware and plates round out the description. My server did not speak English well, but she had assistance from the bartender who was fluent. Bar drinks looked really good and large, but I was driving and by myself so I take no chances. I always look at the important question. Would I go back to this restaurant? Bottom line is yes. If you're looking at this page, take advantage of the $10 for $20 deal. The extra 10 bucks will buy you a couple of Sangrias.

Don't believe the posted hours, the door and website state 8 am, Yelp has 9; I arrived at 9:02 and the staff arrived at 9:05. This means at least a half hour wait before they can start cooking. I have had breakfast here many times and it is always delicious, but with the unreliability of the hours, I will take my business across the street.

Have never written a review before but the food was so good I had to. I work late on weekends so I wake up late and was searching for a place to have brunch that I haven't been so I went here. Turns out they stopped serving breakfast at 12 (just my luck) so as I am walking out someone there stopped and asked what was wrong and I just told them I wanted breakfast. Without hesitation he answered no problem, have a seat order anything you'd like. I had the chorizo burrito and my girlfriend had the Colombian breakfast. Both were delicious and we will be back

This is the first review I have ever written and I created an account just to write this review because of the horrendous way my husband and I were treated when we attempted to dine there. We entered the restaurant and were seated. We were then brought menus and water and ordered shortly after. I ordered the chimichurri and my husband ordered fajitas. The waitress brought over some sort of sauce that was in a small dish and set it down on the table and walked away. When she passed by again, I asked what the sauce was for? She replied with an attitude that " it was for our food" and then asked "why... You don't like sauce?" I let her attitude slide but then when our food came out, my cut of meat was not chimichurri style and it did not have any sauce on top of the meat. I asked about this and was told that is how they do things as they are not a Cuban restaurant. My husbands measly two tortillas for his fajitas were torn and not even able to be hand held as they were so flakey. The waitress was very argumentative when we seemed displeased and at that point, we got up and left without eating. Needless to say, we won't ever return to this terrible dump of a restaurant!

My husband had the Paella which he thought was very good. I had the Ropa Vieja and I found the food to be very bland to my tasting...maybe because I am spoiled with Latin dishes when I visit Miami. Even the Guacamole which is homemade needs a little zing with the flavor. Gave them three stars because the service is excellent and prices are reasonable.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
