Stan's is a special place - hilarious and great people watching. The drinks are delicious, especially the Buzzard Punch. The atmosphere is fun and the music was great. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive in spite of the large crowd. Everyone was having a great time. It's certainly a unique environment. If you like fried food, then this menu is for you. I didn't have a full meal - just one appetizer. It was good but nothing to write home about. But I can certainly testify to the fun atmosphere and great drinks. I would definitely go back the next time I am in the area.

Great spot for the hungover. In need of a Bloody Mary and a dozen oysters. Both were great. The outdoor bar had all the things I was looking for. Good service , cold beer, great bloody buddy, and that perfect funky ambiance. Winning. Oysters were great for the price. Check it out when you need a break from the standard Marco experience.

I've been going to Stan's for years and it's always a good time. The atmosphere is great - especially on a Sunday - and the Buzzard Punches will make you feel great! I highly recommend checking out this semi-famous place just outside of the Everglades.

well, what else can u say about Stan's! This is..... well, this is Stan's, and it's still going, even if Stan's gone. The ultimate SWFL dive bar.

#400 Each Sunday is the start of our version of Mardi gras Heralded as a beginning of the end. The tiny drinking village with a fishing problem, who's population quadruples up over the weekend A down to earth celebration of sunning, people watching, eating, heavy drinking, stumbling, joking, laughing, listening to live music. People fitting In by showing off their individuality. Stan Gober is the owner who kicks off the season during the Mullet festival at the end of January. Buzzard lope queens competes for the annual honor. By costume and dance. Think of it as if fans of Jimmy Buffet. But mixed with fans from many of the northern states and Canada too. Parking is limited and after 11:00am people start parking on the side of the road. Close parking cost $10. And goes toward increasing the IQ of the children of Goodland. Warning Domestic bottles have come up an extra dollar this season. $4 But nobody seems to care because Marco island is called Mark Up island. I'll be back next weekend as the mardi gras boat parade is this next Saturday 19th @2:00pm Wait staff friendly attentive. Food was average burgers fresh off the grill. Mozzarella sticks marinara sauce seemed salty served up hot, good sized portions. People usually wear island wear Tropical print Hawaiian shirts, T-shirts, bikinis, flip-flops, and silly hats are the norm.

We both had the mani mahi for lunch. I has the blackened sandwich, one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had, really, and were from Maine and know fish! Iced tea was refilled three times without asking. My wife had the broiled mahi and it was a delicious dish with sweet potato fries. Sit by the water and feed the catfish for added entertainment! Will go back.

The bartender, Gary was AWESOME. Very attentive & personable. He also pours a damn good drink. Everyone I was with loved him (and loved to give him money). I came during the beginning of their "off season" but still had a good time. There was a band from Maine performing & danced to a few songs while everyone around me sat in their seats. I'm going to go ahead and assume that when it is busier, there's a jammin' dance crew! Definitely a party place with its regular customers. They don't do shots but have signature drinks. Although the crowd in mid May consisted of older generations than I, I still found some dancers!

Mullet Party I went to a mullet party with all my rowdy friends. People came from far and near. Mick flew in with lady Jane, Jimmy sailed in with his shaker of salt, and on-stage Stan was entertaining the crowd, Ah, I love this party! We got thirsty, tanned, bikers from the open road, and Queen Mary strolling the dance floor looking for love. Ah, I love this party! We got cold beer to unwind, hot women scantily clad, well endowed, and music close at hand to refresh one's memory. Ah, I love this party!

We rode over for lunch and we weren't disappointed. We were surprised at how many people were there and that we found a seat right away, no waiting. As soon as we sat down a server took our drink order and while the menu is fairly small, it had a good variety. I had the grilled fish which was very good and my wife had the cheeseburger and it was excellent. Before the band started, everyone was asked to stand for the Star Spangled Banner (extended version, I think) and while it was longer than I was used to, it was really nice. EVERYONE stood and the men removed their hats (some of the ladies too). It reminded me that I AM in the United States and everyone there was as proud to be there as I was. The band played a very nice mix of music and several people, young and old hit the dance floor. We had a great time, about as much fun as you can have at lunch and still drive 2 hours back to Miami! We will be stopping again.

The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is very accommodating. The food is good and their house drink puts you in the mood to party. Highly recommend if your visiting Marco Island or Naples.

The food may leave you desiring something different but if you love local gems you can't find a better place. A dance they've self proclaimed the Buzzard Lope, the spam sculpture competition called the Spammy Jammy, a mullet (fish not hair my friends) competition and singalong songs even in the afternoon. For a San Fran food snob like myself I highly recommend this as an experience. Simple tap beers. Full well bar. Fried bar food. Great experience. Drink up!

Don't go here there are much better restaurants in Goodland where the staff isn't trying to screw you over, where they are friendly, where you don't have to sit at plastic tables in plastic chairs and have blood sucking moquitos terrorizing you throught your meal and you MIGHT even get your waiter to come back after he took your order but not at stans. Our waiter took our order and we never saw him again. Couldn't get another drink, couldn't get sour cream for our potatoes. $22 for 4 coconut shrimp, iceburg salad and tasteless, frozen carrots and cauliflower. The stink from the stagnant water was gross, the band sucked and the mosquitos were terrible - flying into our food, swarming our table. To top it off when we finally chased down our waiter to get the check so we could get the hell out of there, he added on a 20% tip for himself without telling us and when it clearly states on the menu that it is for parties of 6 or more - we were 5. It was obvious he was trying to screw us when I pointed it out to him, he said that's our policy. I said for 5 people he said yes, so I said give me a menu to another employee who was standing there and I said what's the policy. She tried to lie and say she didn't know so I grabbed a menu and pointed out to them what it said on the menu. Unbelieveable - the waiter doesn't do his job and then adds a tip on for himself and then hopes we will give him another one when we don't realize the scumbag has slipped it in already.

Finally got to Stan's on the scooter but it was a Tuesday. Looked like it really hops on the weekends. Nice view of the marina, typical waterfront keys joint. Wife had NE clam, she liked but to sweet for me. My seafood chowder was good, but to many carrots and to little seafood. She had the fried catfish that was very good, her sweet potato fry's were cold but she said still good and the coleslaw was only ok. My fried clam strips were very good, but just slightly over cooked. My steak fry's were excellent, slaw not inspiring. Coolest thing was they had a sign up asking you to feed the wild catfish that hang by the dock. We fed them some of those cold fry's and the fish went crazy. Over a cool place, next time will be on a weekend. Went next store and took a airboat ride after lunch, that was very cool! I like most waterfront bars, but ones with motorcycles parked our front get an extra STAR!

Don't let the décor fool you - this place is a hidden gem! I had the special bassa picatta, and it definitely surpassed my expectations . This is a party bar atmosphere. They have entertainment on their outside deck most nights and it starts at 6:00 pm, so the place is rocking before dark. My companions both had the prime rib special - it was not only very tender and tasty, but a very large serving, as was all of the entrees. Stan's has been around for a very long time and if you look at the place in daylight, it looks like it, but the fun atmosphere and great food more than make up for the age of the building. You won't be sorry!

I went to Stan's with my girlfriend's dad as the first stop in a Sunday afternoon bar crawl across Marco Island. A guy standing next to me put it best - "a bunch of old f@$%s getting f@$%ed up." The beers were ice cold and for $3 for a can of Budweiser it's well worth the drive. If you're going to go on a Sunday, go early so you don't have to pay $10 for parking on someone's lawn. Or take your boat and you can tie up to their dock in back. I didn't have any food, but what i saw looked pretty good. If you're looking for a place to get hammered on a Sunday in Naples, go to Stan's.

Sunday Party 1-4pm during season! Live bands, cold beer and lot's of fun. Our boat captain Erick recommended the place the locals hit. We had a blast! Great for people watching and dancing
(5)Michelle P.
Looking for fun??? Sundays are unbelievable - sing a longs, dancing & fun

If you like live music and cold beer Stan's is the place. It took us 3 days into our vacation to find this party gem. The only signs of life on this Island were at Stan's, the lines can be long and the parking at a premium but it's worth a shot for a good old waterfront bar. they close early as in 7PM so get there early otherwise they will be closed.

We came to watch Hot Dam play last Wednesday. We had super good food and great service for how busy they were. They were swamped. I had the stuffed shrimp and I would reccomend them for sure. We look forward to going back some day.
(5)Bobby K.
A must go if you're in Marco just to check out the scenery.

Dive bar with character. If you like cold beer and fried food this is your place. They usually have live music and the customers are part of the show because they are usually having a good time.

Drive your boat, motorcycle, car, whatever--it doesn't matter, just get here! This is the ultimate southwest Florida treasure dive bar, that offers more than just drinks. Where else will a 70+ year old woman named Queen Mary steal your boyfriend away on the dance floor? This place is a hoot for live entertainment and music!
(5)Chuck A.
Always a fun and entertaining place to eat. Try it. You'll be glad you did. Make sure you sit at a table at water's edge so you can feed the fish.

I rode my motorcycle across the Everglades to Marco Island on Saturday and discovered this backwater locals' joint. Had a delicious seared tuna sandwich and some cold Coronas while the country band played John Denver songs. The Goodland neighborhood of Marco is a little fishing village/trailer park with a lot of character. Bikers welcome!

Drive to the end of the earth and you'll meet bikers, senior citizens, yacht owners and college kids discovering that we all have something in common: Love of live music and cold beer. My folks are in their 70's and took me and the gal-pal to Stan's this weekend for a little afternoon sun and fun. The place was rich with characters from Queen Mary to Stan himself. I think I even saw Hemmingway passed out on a back corner table. If you make it to SW FLA, Stan's is a must stop. Good times. Oh, and mind the speed trap while leaving. That kinda sucked.

Great music of all types; cool cars bikes; Sunday drinking when you should be fishing or watching football; cold beer very fairly priced drinks; and the foods not all that bad but I can't remember what I ate but I now it was fried. What did the man say "ain't fried I ain't eatin' it! Agreed. Check out the local captains as the come in with their angling clients and see what they caught. Say hello to Captain Jay and tell him Warren said " how are those 100% knots?" Have fun and not sure it's good for the youngin's!
