On our long trip back to Miami from Austin, we were really just disgusted by the limited choices in food. I was happy to find this Moe's located not too far off of I75. It is a fairly new store. The area seems to be a cute little small town on the outskirts of Gainesville and the parking lot was pretty bare on an early Sunday afternoon. That worked for us because we could park right in front and keep an eye on our dogs as they sat impatiently waiting for our return. The place was clean including the bathrooms and the employees were fast and friendly. The food was fresh and typical of the Moe's chains we enjoyed it far more than the typical burger joints!

Bland food for white people that don't actually want to eat real Central/South American food. Seriously, stop reading this review and go look up "Latin food" in Gainesville on this website or Urbanspoon. There is no excuse to degrade your taste buds on this fast food garbage. There's tons of places to eat in town that are better. Even Willy's and Chipotle are better (by a sliver of an inch). The food sucks. The only upside they get is that the chips are free with a meal and they feature four types of salsa, all of which are free. Life is too short to eat crappy food. I'd rather be an uppity food snob that consume whatever they think is "queso" for another moment.

Moe's is pretty crappy, it's not inedible, but not that pleasant. Everything tastes like it's pre-made. If you are looking for fast casual Mexican food, why not go to Chipotle??!! It's just so much fresher. Moe's has terrible beans and rice which to me are the sign of a good Mexican restaurant. The employees are nice enough, but I really hate the "Welcome to Moesssss" shtick.

This location has the worst parking lot situation I've seen. Most people seem to take their chances parking at the liquor store next door. The price is right. Don't expect it to be delicious but expect a large quantity of food for a reasonable price. Queso is overpriced. Free chips and salsa with every meal is a plus.

So... after a couple more times going to the archer road Moes I've decided that this is on my list of Shitty Places I Wont Eat Anymore. The food has remained at the same quality as it has always been. The reason why I'm no longer spending my money here is the staff. The final straw was when I went in to get my usual big moo and also grabbing my friend a taco. I ordered them both together and the guy got the tortilla for the moo but never got one for the taco. Before I could recognize that he wasn't going to get my taco I was already rushed ahead to fill my burrito. Well as I was wrapping that up I told the guy that he forgot my taco... he laughed like I was telling the joke and turned around. I told him I wasn't joking, he finally got the taco. So now I'm holding the line up and I feel like a dick. When I finally filled my taco I went to pay. You would think the stories over right.... NO So I look in my to-go bag and my taco isn't in it, I look on the counter and its sitting right there. I tell a different person ( they must all be incompetent) that that is my taco and I'm leaving and want it now. He told me to wait until he's finished. Now I'm sorry but if Ive been sitting here ordering my shit and putting up with YOUR ignorance if I'm not the nicest person. It finally came down to me telling the guy to "Give me my fucking TACO!!!" I cant stand this place because this is only one crappy story Ive gotten out of eating there. Do yourselves a favor and just go to the newberry road Moes.

Chipotle's doppelganger. Parking does suck. Food? See first sentence.

Big moo baby! Good for you and easy on your wallet! OK, if the price of the big MOO Goes up again......30 cents more.....as it has a few times (4 so far), it will no longer be so easy on my wallet. What happened to the $3.89 Big Moo........at $6.29 it is creeping up to the price of everyone else out there.

Always consistent & cheap. You walk in and get a welcoming "Welcome to Moe's!" The food is good and you get so much for the money -- a college student couldn't ask for more! However, the MooMoo is now a Joey Jr and a dollar more but it's still worth it! I found myself eating here multiple times a week during my senior year.

To be honest, Moe's Southwestern Grill is a great alternative to your typical fast food giants (McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys etc.). You walk in and are greeted by at least one person with the customary Moe's greeting "Welcome to Moe's!". There seem to be a decent variety of burritos or wraps to choose from, but every time I go, I get the Joey Jr. Let me start by saying the entire meal is $5.64. Its pretty much a burrito with your choice of chicken or steak (or both), and whatever vegetables or extras you'd like on there. I usually get sour cream (costs extra), salsa, lettuce, olives and cucumbers. Depending on what you want on your burrito, it can end up looking fat or average. Either way, the food tastes somewhat fresh and is enjoyable. Wether you choose to dine in or take it to go, you get a bag or tray full of tortilla chips with which you can consume with their assortment of salsa from the salsa bar. The moo cow comes with cookies and a drink so to me you cant go wrong. I don't come here 24-7 but find it a welcome change from burgers and fries.

I've had a lot of friends work at this Moe's location. I think that's why the food sucks so much.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
