Awful service on Sunday's but I think that just goes hand in hand with the church crowd. We had a great experience when we went on a random weeknight. Had the cream soda (the only soda I like) and fried chicken breast with gravy, green beans and mashed potatoes. Yummy. This was a cheat night for us and so worth it!!

I recommend this place for its hospitality, great food, and fun/casual atmosphere. It is always good to come here. All of the staff are very polite and kind. They seem to have fun doing their job. On a few occasions, the order came out wrong, but they went above and beyond to make things right for us. It doesn't happen very often, I just come here way too much. I highly recommend it and it is worth the wait.

I've been to cracker barrel before and I remember liking the food they served and wanting to go back again. Years later, after moving to Gainesville and finding that there was a Cracker Barrel in town, I was excited to finally go back and eat their delicious food again, but was a bit disappointed. I ordered the wontons and it was watery and depressing. It looked like moosh on my plate and the biscuit was super dry. As for the staff, they were not too friendly either. First off, I hadn't seen my waiter for a while so I had to ask another staff member for some apple butter, and she did not seem happy that I asked her. I understand that we were not her table, but after 10 mins of not seeing my waiter, I was left with no choice but to ask someone else. And to make things worse, I'm sure we were our waiters last table before the end of his shift (it wasn't even closing time so we weren't that last table in the restaurant), but he seemed to make it very clear to us that he was trying to get us out of there. He reached over us while we were eating to stock up the sugar, salt, and pepper and would sweep everywhere around us. I understand that he wanted to go home, but he didn't need to rush us out of there.

Sadly the worst Cracker Barrel experience I've ever had. It was Sunday morning and the wait was long - expected. I was looking at the candy near the hostess' post and someone from the back came to them and told them, "We're out of utensils". Wow, I thought. This doesn't sound good. After waiting 45 minutes, we are seated in the furthest most corner table in the place. We were given Dinner menus but it wasn't even noon yet. We waited quite some time for our server to come back for us to then ask for our breakfast menus. I ordered the one egg one sausage patty. We waited an eternity for our food to arrive. When it finally did, I could not stop laughing - I was served the most ridiculous, sad, meal I have ever seen! (Please look at my picture). Everyone was cracking up because it was the most pathetic "meal" in the world. Yeah I was laughing, but in reality I was really upset. The egg wasn't even scrambled, it was just a mass of egg, and the sausage patty was so small, a tiny medallion, that I could eat it in just one bite. The presentation was just awful. Oh and how did it taste? Cold, old, and bland. How sad. As for the service - unattentive, slow, and pretty darn rude. One of my friends asked for his side of apple jam that is complimentary with a meal. He received it and so my other friend decided he wanted one too - he kindly asked the server if he can have a side of apple jam as well, and the server ever so rudely responds, "You know, you can just share. Your friend's is big enough for both of you." Umm, excuse me? When we order something, how can you deny us of it? That was the weirdest response from a server ever. I think she realized it too, because she eventually brought him his own (very very very tiny, about a quarter of the size of my first friend's) jam.

Third time we go here for breakfast and it's very consistent. Great food and great service! I wish I remembered the waitress we had, we've had her all three times, she's awesome! Knows her stuff and is very on top of it, very nice and professional. Petite older woman with short hair. Even the manager always comes by the table to make sure everything is ok, which I seem to think is fantastic customer service. Love browsing their gift shop too! Neat stuff! We will definitely be back soon!

So tonite dinner at Cracker Barrel start up good . We got a table in like 2 mins. We started with some drinks and ordered food. It came pretty fast maybe 10 mins? I had fried liver and french fries. Fried liver : 5 poor pretty burned pieces of liver. This plate looked sad. I get some collard greens and they were really good so some happines came under my nose. Other plate we get was country fried steak and the meal was super cold and no taste. Just bland food. And manager dont see difference country fried apples and gravy :)

I finally found out the name of this place. This review is LONG overdue...about a couple years. This is the place where I fell in love with okra. Before I came here, I didn't know what this vegetable was until I savored this dish and loved southern comfort food. My friend told me that I can't leave Gainesville without tasting "Crackle Barrel" food. Yes, you do wait a while, but the food is good. The rocking chairs out front gives the store a homey feel and the mini store on the side of the restaurant is cute with things and candy. I came here for dinner. I ordered the Country Dinner Plates (Your Choice Of Any Meat And Two Country Vegetables Handmade Buttermilk Biscuits Or Corn Muffins And Real Butter). The biscuits are yummy, the Breaded Fried Okra are to die for. I don't remember anything else, just the okra was an experience for me, haha.

I love Cracker Barrel wherever I can get it. This review is for Zaki, our server. What a courteous, kind and friendly gentleman! I honestly felt his warmth and good nature through his service and we really appreciated him. Hopefully management reads these!

Gluten Free Vegetarian breakfast favorite! I surprised myself, have avoided this place for years. Menu has changed, healthier. Love the OJ, service cannot be beat. So many sides and they allow substitutions, be creative, you can eat here. The shopping at their store sure helps! Such cute stuff and great to keep kids entertained. TIP: Always busy, come odd hours or be ready to wait.

I struggle to understand why Cracker Barrel restaurants are so popular. Perhaps folks like the feel of tradition, history, etc. Maybe its all the trinkets they sell? Whatever it is, it ain't the food, coffee, service, or quality. This is one of those places you end up visiting because you are either a) wondering what all the fuss is about, or b) receive a gift card from a friend and rather than throw money out, you submit to the test (which was my case). We used one of the gift cards during two separate occasions; was not impressed with their food during either time.

If you've been to one, you've been to them all. However what makes this one different is the service. Although our waiter was kind, he seemed to be in a rush to get us in and out-not appreciated. Overall, it was the same as any other I have been to.

The customer service here is wonderful. I can't say that about all Cracker Barrels but this one was very very pleasant. We were greeted nicely by LAURA W. as we laughed and talked about how much we loved our grand mothers (my grandma was dining with us and moving a little slow). TOMMY C was our waiter and he was phenomenal. So personable, and accommodating. He even made suggestions on some of the specials. We had a few requests (more water, more napkins, more syrup, etc.) He ran and got it with NO problems and No attitude. If every Cracker Barrel were like this I would eat here every day! TOMMY C deserves another Star! If you stop at this location ask for TOMMY C, he will treat you right!

In my four years living here, I've been to this location about twice, and they do not disappoint. Most recently I came here for dinner along with five other members of my organization, and we were seated promptly upon arriving. Our server was very nice and patient with us as some of the ladies had many questions on the menu and special requests for their meals. I ordered the Fried Chicken tenderloin dinner with macaroni and cheese and steak fries. Although the food was presentable and delicious I wish I would've asked for a bigger portion of Mac. It's my favorite food and I like my portions big.Nevertheless, when I paired this meal with a sweet strawberry lemonade and biscuits all I paid was $10.90. You cannot beat that.

Great food and service. I like the haddock, chicken tenders, and when they have the thanksgiving dinner plate that is exceptional as well. Their vegetable soup is great too. Breads they bring to the table are good (I like the biscuits and corn muffins and have a hard time deciding which to get). I recommend this restaurant if you want home cooking but don't want to do the cooking at home.

Any time you want to take a bus full of teenage kids to dinner, Cracker Barrel is the way to go. We stopped here for dinner on our way home from a field trip, and the staff was great at handling our large group. Our group called in advance (days in advance, and again about 45 minutes prior to our arrival) so they knew we were coming and easily seated us all without any trouble. 50-odd separate checks, and the only problem we had was one kid that managed to misplace her check between the table and the cash register. And even that was handled well. The food was good reliable Cracker Barrel food. I enjoyed some much needed coffee and breakfast food. The food is very kid friendly and large portions (teenager friendly). Overall, nothing new, but I have to give them 5 stars for the awesome service! =)

Food is pretty good. The server was less than attentive. She dropped the check off and disappeared for 20 minutes... We needed another to go box and wanted to order a couple drinks to go since we had a drive. Finally we flagged down a different server. We never saw our original one again. No clue where she went.

Chicken salad with pineapple and blackberries was excellent. I know this place is better known for its comfort food. Although I love the traditional chicken and dumplings with collard greens, it's nice to know you can have a crisp, refreshing and healthy salad here too! The kids are always thoroughly entertained by the games at the table and if course the store is always fun to shop in!

If you've never been to a Cracker Barrel, well, you're luckier than me. The place lives off it's kitschy, down home, country, blah blah blah schtick. Really not my scene. Still, I have friends who genuinely like the place, so it gets a second star for that.

I always know that I'll have a great breakfast and receive polite service at Cracker Barrel. No matter what store I visit throughout the country, I know that I can count on them. Many times, throughout my travels, I'll book a hotel based on its proximity to a Cracker Barrel. My go-to is the Country Boy breakfast. You get a decent piece of steak, a biscuit, grits, eggs and some tasty apple concoction. I pair it with a pancake or two and a big glass of milk and call it a day. One day I'll buy a rocking chair from one of these places. Or five...

CB has always scored high with me due to their corporate consistency. This is a great alternative for Thanksgiving if you don't want to cook or have a small group to feed. In 2013, they offered a Thanksgiving plate for $9.99 which included turkey, ham, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, stuffing, a vegetable of your choice, a slice of pumpkin streusel pie, biscuits, corn bread, and a beverage. PLENTY! Be prepared to wait. The wait time was up to 40 min when we were seated around 11:45 am. The wait moved to an hour after we completed our meal at about 12:30 pm. We did call a few days ahead to determine the best strategy for our small group and it paid off. The manager was able to give realistic wait estimates so we could coordinate our arrival for when we wanted to eat. The servers were very pleasant and they could turn a table quickly. We didn't wait long for our delicious meals and we had a party of 7. (All of us ordering nearly the same Thanksgiving meal may have helped.) Have some courtesy for those waiting in line and do your visiting outside if you're done eating. Our family enjoyed the sun (the high was 60 that day) and lack of noise while we chatted in the grass. This may be our new family tradition - yummo!

No call ahead seating. There are other great breakfast places in town that offer call-ahead seating. I have always loved Cracker Barrel, but this is really inconvenient when often I'm told the wait for even just two people is "an hour or so." In addition, they've taken their best meal off the menu... Steak Biscuits. Sad day.

It's what you'd expect from a CB- clean and sweet people with fast food that's not a burger. Maureen was our waitress, she was in training but very friendly. This stop seemed a little safer since it's close to UF.

Oh my word, I have not been to a Cracker Barrel in awhile y'all but I'm sure I'll be hitting up a few on my cross country trip next year. Back in the day, y'all, I have been to this location more times than my belly would like to recall. Biscuits and gravy was a fave of mine. The bf would have the country-fried steak most times. Sometimes we'd go for a big breakfast and sit around and drink coffee for hours. Heavy, heavy food y'all, like a rock in your tummy. Not a place to come if you'd like to keep or work on getting, a normal waist size. Everything is super-sized, like you will be if you eat here often. I liked the country store attached with all the knickknacks. For some reason I coveted the sunflower umbrellas. I never got one because they were too expensive on my college budget. It's good all the same, I really didn't need it.

I LOVE Cracker Barrel. Until I moved to Gainesville, the pleasure of eating here was reserved for road trips. Now I have one across the street from my apartment, and I can come here whenever I want. If you try to go in the morning or on a busy weekend (game day, graduation..) you're going to have to wait, but the service is usually prompt once you sit down. We came for dinner on a Monday, though, and were seated immediately. It's great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you can order breakfast all day. For breakfast I love the sweet selections, like the pancakes with all sorts of fruit toppings, and the French toast. For dinner, I usually just get breakfast, but last time I got the country sampler, with meatloaf, chicken & dumplings, and ham. The ham is divine, the meatloaf was pretty good, and the chicken was light on chicken and heavy on dumplings. The mac & cheese was good, the hashbrown casserole was bland, and the biscuits are soo good- salty, but thats how I like them. My boyfriend orders the same thing every time- the chicken-fried chicken with sawmill gravy. He loves it. Maybe next time I'll go back to my old breakfast standby, or else just the sugar-cured ham. I don't think the appeal of this place is actually in the food, it's in the attentive service, the comforting atmosphere, and the actual store part of the "old country store." I could spend an hour and hundreds of dollars in there. The old-timey candy is so much fun, the home decor items are really cute, and they always have Yankee Candles on sale. I definitely wouldn't come here without having a look around. Cracker Barrel is good for a healthy portion of comfort food at a good price. (But that game with the pegs frustrates me to no end!)

Visited for supper on Saturday night. The pot roast special came with a hunk of meat that was loaded with fat and grisle. Mashed potatoes were somewhat cold. Why be so stingy with the gravy? Mixed beans were cold and fairly oily, as well as under-done for my taste. We had problems getting service for things like condiments like butter, honey, jelly, etc. Drink refills seemed to be a problem for them as well. Had better...cheaper too.

...wait, so it's a rocking chair store on the outside and a restaurant on the inside? That's fucked up.

Cracker Barrel is overrated. Everyone seems to love this place and it always seems to be packed. I've heard things about how it brings back a nostalgic sense for many people, but objectively speaking...it's just decent. It can be pretty good at times, and below mediocre on other nights. The service is NEVER bad though. They seem to hire the right people. The gift store at the front is a great way to pass the time while you're doing those long waits for a table. They have a lot of old candy and even checkers to play When you are finally seated, you can pretty much smell how good the cooking is. Then, you get real excited...your stomach growls, you're staring down the menu. Then they have those puzzle toys at the table to keep you distracted. The food here can be pretty good. I've had the country fried steak which was decent, but the gravy was a salty and there was a lot of it (could be a good thing, depending on who's reading this). The fried chicken is great. The breading isn't good, a little bland, but salt and pepper fixes that. The meat was real tender. I've also come here for dinner once and had the meatloaf and...it was the worst meatloaf I've ever tasted. It was dry, bland, and oversauced with tomato ketchup (tasted like the cheap generic kind too). Sad to say that I am reluctant to try meatloaf anywhere else. The breakfast is good. It seems to be the reason most people come here. The grits weren't that great (but I dont enjoy grits too much so don't avoid it on my account) The classic breakfast with sausage and eggs were good. Nothing spectacular. The biscuits are fantastic though. Be sure to order apple butter with it. Awesome stuff. Overall, the place was just a solid "good not great" for me. People love it and the mere mention of it would have some people salivating, but I'm not one of those. It's a solid place to grab some good eats, but there are other places too where you can get a solid breakfast or meal.

When went on a Friday nite at 6pm and we were seated immediately. Morning visits can be way more hectic. I always order the grilled chicken strips, mac and cheese, and green beans. And it's always good. My wife digs the Old Timer and my son is a pancake enthusiast. We look forward to crackin' the barrel about once a month. It's nice in the winter when the fire is blazing too.

Got the baked chicken and dressing. The chicken was hot, but the sides were cold. Also had no utensils when the food came and never got a refill on my tea. 3 stars only for the flavor of the food itself.

Great comfort food. My friend and I went here for thanksgiving and it was a delicious home cooked meal for a price that could not be beat. I recommend breakfast food, meatloaf, and the chicken and dumplings. Just thinking about it is making me hungry!

Yesterday after a semi- stressful morning (dentist visit ugh) my boyfriend and I decided we needed fuel in the form of breakfast. Cracker Barrel was nearby and since we had recently talked about going, we decided now would be the time. I have been to many many cracker barrels in my lifetime. Mainly on roadtrips, and sometimes its a nice place to go with the grandparents. You have to walk through their "country store" to get to the hostess. Above her is hanging about 5 cured hams, and you say to yourself "props? real? has that ever fallen on her?" Inside its all cozy, and wood everywhere, Tin signs of yesteryear pepper the walls, along with old photos of people you dont know and some you do like Teddy Roosevelt (who judges your breakfast choice). They have a Peg game at every table, which I suck at so I dont touch it, especially because Im usually there for breakfast, and trying to "test yer IQ! and remove as many pegs as possible!" doesnt go well with "must have coffee now" We decided on small breakfasts, I know they have big honkin plates O' "grandpas country fried breakfast" "Old Timers" and the "Country boy" but thats too much food for my tummy that early. The "everyday favorites" is more my style. I got the Egg Sandwich with Hashbrown Casserole, and James got the Hashbrown Casserole with Bacon. The Hashbrowns were not brown, barely beige. I wish it had been darker, crispier on top and the sides. It was also so bland that we had our hand on the salt shaker more than normal, and i broke out the ketchup. The sandwich was okay, and so was the bacon. It was just all bland. Which is what , I suppose, the majority of people going there want. I know younger people go here, but mostly its the senior citizens and their families. They want the stand bys, the regular breakfast items, and traditional food. They dont want feta spinach frittatas and green chili omelets. I guarantee they dont want Lattes or Mochas as well. which leads me to their coffee. I like the coffee there, its no fuss, free refills and does its job. ;) The Country store, scares me. It has some really awesome vintage candy...oh.... anyone want to tell me what flavor is "horehound?" . It also has lots of other things that I tend to make the sign of the cross at and call upon the Father to protect me against. Would we go back? Maybe. I do remember them having good biscuits and gravy , and i have heard their sweeter selections like pancakes are good. It was pretty cheap and sorta like being in a new part of Epcot, the hillbilly pavilion.

Came here for breakfast before the wedding. It's a old time feel to it. They don't have these on the west coast I don't think. Anyway lines were ridiculous. Uf graduation day oy. We ordered the big boy breakfast and grilled chicken. We also received the apple butter. Tons of sugar. But that's what they love here.

  • Brandon D.

Get the country boy breakfast- must pick the country ham as the meat- amazing combination of country goodness. The biscuits are heavenly. Like others said- all the old ladies feel like grandma's taking care of you- they have stars signifying their skill/seniority- and they constantly offer to refill your coffee. Yeah, probably not healthy enough to eat everyday- doesn't take a genius to figure that out- but still good good good. BTW, I always get a kick out of the store and loved looking through it as a kid (and getting the jawbreakers). It's also perfect for getting gifts for grandma or if you need a gift for a random person.

Whenever the boyfriend and I have put off eating until we're too hungry to think straight, we go to Cracker Barrel for their yummy comfort food (chicken fried chicken is our favorite go-to dish, along with hashbrown casserole, corn, & mac n' cheese or turnip greens). I love hashbrown casserole, but sometimes it's a little dry; it's best when freshly made. The atmosphere is nothing fancy (it's Cracker Barrel after all) but it's relaxed and perfect for a long chat. It's pretty busy on weekend mornings, but we usually end up there in the afternoon when it's fairly slow. We always experience decent service and leave stuffed and content. Don't leave without trying their Coca-Cola chocolate cake. :)

I normally eat at Cracker Barrels when on the Interstate going to see family or elsewhere because they're always near Interstate exits and are normally fast and good enough food for the road. The local Gainesville Cracker Barrel is no exception and the service and food are fine here, just what you'd expect at any of their locations. Is the food healthy? That's totally predicated on what you order: I normally get the chicken and dumplings with my two sides being greens and apples. It's not the healthiest dish ever but nor will it be the worst for you if you don't eat this way every day. The fried catfish, the country ham (ok, that's not too healthy: probably enough salt for 300 head of beef cattle for the entire winter there), and all the dessets are quite good. So are the milkshakes. As others have raved, the breakfasts are great, even though I am not at all a breakfast person. There is more authentic regional Southern cookin' out there, sure, but Cracker Barrel is a fun atmosphere and good stuff. If anything, they're just as good (though they may lack the diversity of unique dishes) as the overrated Lady and Sons in Savannah. And their prices are very fair. As for the country store part of the outfit, I've never bought anything here, but my mom's purchased their hams before and those have been just fine. When I need some old-timey candies or a collection of Conway Twitty songs or a bear holding an American flag though, I'll be sure to come here.

Fantastic buttermilk pancakes and always slightly above average service. You always know what you're getting with Cracker Barrel and don't have to worry about it tasting different every time you go.

Yes, the portions are gigantic - two could easily split a meal here, even the breakfast plates.... which, honestly are all I have ever eaten in a Cracker Barrel. Sure, they have a lunch/dinner menu.... but, well... it just doesn't happen. Today, me and the g/f rolled out of bed about 3 pm and decided we needed epic breakfast noms. Off to the CB we went in search of pancakes and eggs and bacon... I ordered the Mom's Pancake Breakfast, which has those three items in its options, and all was good. She had the pecan, I had the blueberry... actually, the pecan was better for some reason. Quibbles: The Dickinson's syrup is filled with High Fructose Corn Syrup (bleah) - the real maple syrup makes up for that. The hostess failed to listen and I had to go back up and get 2 breakfast menus after we sat down since the dolt gave us dinner menus. But, thats all I can complain about on this visit. The sweet tea was perfect, the waitress sent us away with a cup of each drink to go, and half the portions went with! NOTE: This location is hard to find - my lovely comnpanions has lived here 7 years and didn't even know it was there until today!

Not my favorite breakfast spot ever but in Gainesville, it's high on my list. It's definitely the place I go to if I want to play checkers... and rock in a rocking chair. I usually get a no-frills quickie meal (coffee, a couple of eggs over-easy and biscuits). The service is always OK and once we're seated, the whole breakfast experience comes and goes in less than 45 minutes.

  • Vicki M.

Good food, can be busy sometimes, but food is serviced quickly. I like getting the grandmas breakfast, not on the menu, but they never blink an eye when you order it...it's like the mama breakfast just with hash brown casserole. Plus the wait is never too bad because you can browse the store. Lots of childhood candies and neat items to look at.

Disgusting, but awesome. Biscuits. Eggs in a basket. Pancakes. All of these are good at Cracker Barrel. Anything Southern here is bound to be good, y'all.

Cracker Barrel always reminds me of road trips. They're all more or less the same quality, and outstandingly kitsch. Sometimes I'm in the mood for some diner coffee, and Cracker Barrel's cop-o-joe ain't bad. Order from the breakfast menu no matter the time of day. Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast is killer... tasty, and artery-clogging.

I realized after coming here that Cracker Barrel represents everything I despise!!! was staying at the Motel 6 nearby, wanted breakfast, asked the girl at the front desk in the hotel to recommend a place so she said Cracker Barrel.. the food is greasy, heavy, not good.. And the customers waistlines reflect the effects of this diet well... Not to mention that the restaurant seems to cater to the "All American" conservative, America First, "Family Values" crowd who nauseate me.. so I will avoid.. I tried the one somewhat healthier looking option, a plate with turkey sausage and fruit , and also had a biscuit with country ham so i could say i had the full "cracker barrel" experience.. won't be back.. even if the food was better the ambience drives me away screaming like a hallucinating hyena!! I feel at home in places like Amsterdam, Lisbon, New Orleans, San Francisco, Miami, Rio de Janeiro - and like I was on a planet I am doing everything to avoid when I stepped into Cracker Barrel.

Yes. I can hardly believe it myself. Those are four stars. In full disclosure I've only ever had breakfast here; but, regardless of which preparation of eggs I order they have always been immaculately cooked. To test the line cook's skill; today, I ordered my eggs "somewhere between over easy and over medium". The result? No browning on the whites and a yolk in which every possible state existed; from just solidified edges to a runny center. In a word: PERFECT! The reality is that in my experience the eggs have ALWAYS been PERFECT. My omelet could have been the reference at the French Culinary Institute. Scrambled Eggs? A moist medium curd cooking in residual heat on my plate. If I had a restaurant I know who my line cooks would be. PS-- All comments pertain to this location only.

We love the Cracker Barrel chain, however this particular restaurant is not the greatest. Last week we went to a Cracker Barrel in St Augustine and loved their gluten-free menu. There were plenty of options for a person with gluten intolerance and the food was great. Is this true for Gainesville? I cannot say for sure since we stopped going to this particular Cracker Barrel pre-gluten-free.

Pass on this one ! We used to love cracker barrel but after the Last few visits it is just not worth the wait. By wait I mean at least an hour after your are seated. The food arrived cold And two of our party didn't receive what they ordered. They ran out of cornbread and after waiting 40 minutes for it were told it was still not ready. Mind you this was not during a busy time. When we talked tom the manager he didn't apologize, he went to another table who was complaining as well. (also saw him pick his nose as he walked away )

OK how in God's Great Earth could you not think Cracker Barrel is the Bomb Diggity? The only reason to knock them, is the wait is super long, b/c everybody else and their mother thinks this place is the Bomb too! Especially on the Sunday after a Gator Game Day...I mean really. The rocking chairs and random crap to look at in their store will make you a new man. Their biscuits and gravy will cure you of your ales [and ales like in beer]. I was sad b/c we didn't get the preserves or apple butter this time, but my stomach is still rumbling with the afterthoughts of the amazing meal we had here. People could commit murder for the recipe to their hash brown casserole recipe..I don't want to even know what goes in here, I'm just going to eat it and wait for my arteries to clog later.. And to boot breakfasts are under $10! Why can't they have champagne for mimosas I mean for real! People drink in the South!

The service has always been great. During long drives we love to stop by. I always split the chicken and dumplings with my sister or mom. I love their greens, carrots, green beans and biscuits. Not a fan of the corn bread. I've also had the chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and regular fried chicken, all large options great when shared. My dad always enjoys the fried fish. We only stop by 2-3 times a year, so it's a special treat for us.

Do NOT come on a Saturday. Over sixty minute wait, then another thirty minutes for food before our waitress tells us they lost our ticket. Ninety minutes here and not a morsel in sight. Ridiculous. Better not come hungry.
