Hidden in Haile Village is Gainesville's best kept secret in pizza. Fantastic pizza and the best balsalmic salad dressing you will ever eat. Only open on Thurs and Friday nights. It is our weekly Friday night meal and we crave it the rest of the week. Go. Eat. You will not be sorry.

That was fabulous! We tried it for the first time and were very pleased. We ordered the meatball and grilled onion pizza. The meatballs were sliced so it aided in spreading the great flavor. The cheese and the dough and the sauce, so much to love. The price was fair and the employees were friendly and quick to ask how everything tasted. We will be back.

I wish I could review the food, but I can never get any of it! This must be one of the most poorly run and poorly managed places ever! Located in Haile Village Center, all of the shops and restaurants in the village tend to take full advantage of the street fairs that are held in the village, as they should. It bring much needed business and revenue to these establishments. All except Cacciatore! Tried to grab a slice during Octoberfest in October 2010 -- they we're closed because they ran out of food! Hundreds, if not a thousand people on the street that night and this place is out of food and closed. Tried to grab a slice again today, during the Art & Music Festival -- They're closed -- Again! Hundreds of people of the street today, they're closed! Doesn't make any sense!

I've only had it once and it was very good...but I have to repeat the strange hours sentiment. I work very close to the place and I would love to be able to walk down and get some good pizza for lunch, but they always seem to be closed. ????

yet another place that I approve of. Dean Cacciatore has some weird hours but according to the guy who works there, they are going to be open more often. This place is in the Haile village center right near the Village at Haile Condos. They serve NJ style pizza and it is good. Who says New Jersey is the armpit of america???? Well, I do but serve me up some armpit if it tastes as good as the pizza here. YUMMY!!! Take it from me folks, this place is goooood :o)

I have eaten pizza all over this country and this place delivers. It's some of the best NY style pizza you will find outside the NE, and without a doubt the Best in north Florida. The dough is real New York - a little stretchy, a little chewy, 1/4" thick with well-browned bottom. The red sauce is spicy - not too spaghetti-sauce-sweet like many places. The cheese is the crowning jewel -- highest quality, stringy mozzarella. The pie is big as well - a true 18-incher with double fisted slices - the kind you can bend in half so the cheese grease can drip down. I'm usually a purist - toppings are for salads, not pizza - just sauce and cheese on mine. But, these guys use great sausage, so I'm bending my rules and ordering sausage and mushroom of late. If you live in Gainesville and you think Satchels, Big Lou's or Paisano is the end all of pizza, let me assure you they all pale in comparison (if real NY is what you like). I am becoming a weekly regular- see ya on Thursday as I munch on sausage and mushroom pie!

I'd love to tell you about how great their food is but they never seem to be open. There's a sign on their front door (12/5/14) that says their pizza shop is closed for the entire month of December because they are too busy with catering. Normally they are only open two days a week as it is. It's just too much to keep up with for pizza that's average. There was a huge holiday festival going on in the village tonight and that place was lights out! Someone needs to call them out...either serve your community or don't.
