Successfully doing what so many restaurants are striving to do nowadays. Local food, eco friendly and healthy choices. Got the creamed turkey on a biscuit; the chef roasts an whole turkey breast, cuts it into chunk, and surrounds it with a light cream sauce made with homemade stock and fresh vegetables. The biscuit was buttery and delicious, there were huge and numerous chunks of turkey and the cream sauce was out of this world. Also tried the lima bean (pretty sure they were lima) and andoulle sausage stew. Earthy, rich and delicious. Got some beet greens because they're healthy. They were so fantastic! Just the right amount of acid and not cooked beyond recognition. Also, the service was amazing. The woman at the front is so friendly and helpful; she's willing to let you try virtually anything on the constantly changing menu. If I lived in Fort Pierce, we'd be friends. Especially if she brought food from the S&S Takeout.

Open for lunch- eat in or take out. A different menu made fresh every day based upon fresh ingredients from the local market. Soups, pasta, salads, entrees and dessert are served daily Monday - Friday. A unique experience and wonderful food. Come early because you will have to wait in line. Today I had a wonderful Frutti Di Mare with a creamy Parmesan Risotto' and Peanut Butter pie.

The food is good and fresh. I had the short ribs and asian salad (which they subed to accommodate my diet) and both were very tasty. The prices are good and so is the selection of pastries which all looked good but we're a no-go for me. The place seems to get quite busy at noon with all the businesses in the area but they're all coming for a reason. The place is quite hippie-ish though...

First time there & It won't be our last!!!! The food was absolutely excellent . Fresh & delicious. Their soups were great. Small place with only a few tables. Limited hrs. Great place to bring delicious food home. Fort Pierce's hidden treasure.

Looks amazing. I didn't have a chance to eat here but I walked in and took a peek. I believe this would have been one of my best meals in the Fort Pierce area if I had the chance. Smelled great and the ingredients are healthy. A lot of veggies on the menu.

I have to say this place is GREAT! I've been here 3 times now in the past 2 days and it's just good. Price is around 10-15 depending on what you want. They give discounts from 4:30-close. I'm guessing they're just trying to get rid of what's left over from the day. The first thing I got there was vegetarian baked ziti and italian wedding soup. Not a huge ziti fan but on top of that I'm no vegetarian. I NEED protein. Anways, it was still tasty. The italian wedding soup was good too! Next thing was for lunch and I got the free range pork with red potatoes. Good, but the wooden utensils, although interesting, not good in this situation! The fork broke and the knife...well was as useful as a spoon. Then I went back for dinner for the beef stuffed burrito and a cup of the clam chowder. LOVE the clam chowder. Burrito, not so much. The thing is, their menu changes on a daily basis so just because it's there one day doesn't mean it'll be there the next. Overall, well I've already been there 3 times so I'm deffinately going back!!! Great people behind the counter too, oh and it's all precooked so it's extremely fast!

Love it! Fresh, organic, and local meats and produce used daily. Great prices. Love their daily specials and lentil soup. Super tiny inside and clean. Cool wooden utensils, and they don't accept tips bc they want you to just come back. If you're craving junk food, don't go here. Love it!!

If you like having a health conscience, eco-friendly home cooked meal, this place for you. Price is moderate but they give you generous portions so it's worth it.
(5)Adam B.
The food here was decent. It's nice to have a place somewhat local that has vegan options, but the menu is never the same and they run out fast.

Perfect blend of homemade dinners & bakery with gluten free, some dairy free, natural sodas, etc. served by nice people, not the food police. My meat & potato husband felt at home too! Very reasonable price point. It was rainy & 4:00 in the afternoon when we were there so we got a parking spot & table with no trouble.

GREAT quality food at a great price. This was our first visit and the reviews were right on.friendly staff as well.

By far my go-to spot in Ft. Pierce. The menu changes daily so you can check their Facebook page or Twitter for changes. Usually made with organic, gluten-free and/or local ingredients. Chef Adam is incredible and the food is definitely under-priced for what you get! Prepare to take food home as the portions are large.

I've been here twice now. Both times delicious - with an amazing array of gluten free options, including soups and daily hot specials. The young ladies who man the counter are friendly, knowledgeable, and give great recommendations. There are only a few seats inside, so keep that in mind if you're bringing friends, which you should do, because this place is awesome!

Talk about a whole in the wall! Found this little spot on accident, best mistake all week brought me to the best breakfast in town

S&S is the epitome of a hidden gem! Who would have expected a place like this in, no offense, the middle of nowhere?! I was sent to Fort Pierce with Tom L. for work and we had to find something to do on our 4-hour paid lunch breaks so we'd explore the city looking for places to eat. Thanks to Yelp, we ended up finding S&S and we literally went there every time we had the chance. I couldn't stress this enough: if you are hungry and anywhere within a 50-mile radius of this place, just trust me and try it out! Make sure they're open first because their hours of operation are a little different but if you're somewhat close, just do it! The owners are a couple-- the husband is the chef and the wife is in charge of managing the place. She does a great job and her theme is recycling-- everything in there is recyclable and environmentally conscious, from the utensils to the soap in the bathroom. In terms of the food, his menu is different everyday and everything is homemade. His ingredients are so fresh and everything is of excellent quality. He also makes some desserts which are all amazing! My favorite has to be the Russian tea cookies. First time I tried them they had just been made--- they were still warm and melted in my mouth!! A few of the most me memorable things I had were: the white bean soup, the lentil soup, the walnut chocolate chip banana bread, the chicken salad and of course, the Russian tea cookies. They don't have much seating (just 3-4 tables) but I'd recommend eating here, even though it's a catering/take-out establishment, because of the friendliness of the owners. They make you feel welcome and if you happen to run into the wife, she will teach you some things about the food scene in the area. I remember one day when Tom and I were talking about how good the garlic bread was combined with the white bean soup, the chef/owner overheard us all the way in the kitchen and brought us some more garlic bread that had just been made. Enough talking about it because it's making me want to go back but I'm like 4 hours away! In all, I would without a doubt recommend this place to anyone in the area and I will make sure to come back one day when I'm driving by going to Orlando or something.

Wow! Really good food. I got the basa almandine, my hubby got the sweet potato cranberry casserole: ommmmmmmhhhh! Every bite was the delicious! Do not miss this place

Amazing little place! Just moved and decided to try this place after reading the reviews, was not disappointed. The food was AMAZING, the staff was friendly, and the small personal dining area was so cute. The healthy options and daily changing menu is also a cool feature here. Will definitely be coming back here!

Great tasting pre-made meals, soups, and baked items. There's a rotating menu with a few options which is probably a good thing since if a restaurant focuses on quantity, chances are the quality will suffer. Check their Facebook page to see the updated daily menu. You get good portions for a very reasonable price. Service is friendly and quick. As the name implies, this is intended to be a mainly takeout restaurant...not much dining space inside. If you're in the Ft Pierce / Vero area you should check them out.

First off, and probably most important, the food is incredible. Many healthy options with very full portions for reasonable prices. They change a lot of the menu items everyday, so you are always getting something new and the ingredients are always fresh and delicious. I am sad that the only location is up in Fort Pierce (I was only here a little while for work), but I am hoping that they will expand soon to other locations further south. The staff are all always extremely friendly and personable, and they always do whatever they can to make the customer happy (something that many places lose sight of). The atmosphere inside is really nice too, small and cozy, you feel like you're eating right at home, and they are environmentally conscious as well, with recycling bins and eco-friendly utensils/decorations. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something new and tasty, they have vegan-friendly foods (and I believe gluten-free) so virtually everyone will have some options there.

Fantastic high quality food reasonably priced. A must go! Love.
(5)Diana P.
Reasonably priced, generous portions, friendly service, and leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling inside! Also PLEASE try the vegan banana bread. You will thank me.

I still pretty much go here at least 3 times a week for lunch. This is, by far, my favorite lunch place of all time!!!! Their food is delicious and nutritious!! The restaurant is spotless and Adam and Gerrie, the owners, are awesome!!!!!! If you haven't tried it, go and see them. This place rocks!!!!!!

Local, fresh ingredients with a menu of soups, cold-case items & salads, hot specials, and delectable confections that changes every day. Also catering to a variety of dietary needs including gluten-free, & vegan, there is always something for everyone! Not a lot of seating, very busy during the day, but it's worth the wait if you are there at the height of the lunch period. You can always get your choices to-go, and they offer a discount later in the afternoon & early evening. Their menu is posted daily on Facebook with updates as to items that are added or have run out are posted throughout the day. Today we had the shredded pork burrito, which included garbanzo beans, shredded pork, a red sauce with great flavor, all wrapped in a tortilla with crusted cheddar on top...served with basmati rice, and black bean & corn salsa & sour cream for under $9...every bite was delicious, and I could only eat half of the robust portion. We also got the turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, & cranberry sauce. Easily the portion of turkey was 12+ oz of white & dark meat, with great flavor, well seasoned (and large portion) of mashed potatoes & gravy, and a small serving of cranberry sauce to add some zing...all homemade from scratch, with perfect seasoning throughout, and again under $9. I've been here a number of times, and everything is always amazing...if you save room for dessert, you can't go wrong with the Hepburn brownies, or anything else that catches your eye. If you are in the area M-F between 11:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., you can't go wrong with a visit to this local gem!!

This small takeout exceeded my expectations with their high quality homemade lentil soup and really good chicken pot pie. Enthusiastically recommended!

Have been here several times . Very small place with very good food. Everything is made very fresh daily. The menu changes daily. I've tried the chicken salad, lentil soup, turkey cranberry salad and several desserts. Everything has been excellent .

Seriously one of my favorite places! Menu changes daily. Fresh, always a surprise, and always delicious! Highly recommended! Soups, salads, specials, desserts, specialty nonalcoholic beverages. Friendly and efficient staff. For a small place they really do business! The food makes you feel good and will be the highlight of your day. Smoked calamari salad had amazing flavor and texture. The coconut macaroons! I can't leave there without a few macaroons if they have them that day. I follow them in Facebook for easy access to the daily creations. Love. Love. Love.
