Breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course ice cream and espressos! Went there twice for ice cream. A decent but not overly adventurous selection of flavours served in different types of cones or cups with a variety of toppings. Cold Stone it isn't but their ice cream is actually tasty whereas Cold Stone's is bland and rubbish. Along with Sole Coffee, this is one of the few places that serves espresso drinks. While they clearly aren't coffee experts, they'll follow your instructions and make your drink - want a macchiato? Tell them what it is and they'll do it, unlike Starbucks where Every Drink Is A Latte(TM). We also tried this place for breakfast and while the menu isn't very extensive, they'll accommodate requests, e.g. no French toast, but they made it for us. Portions aren't huge, which is no bad thing. Expensive for what you get, but then there's always Denny's.

We go for the ice cream. They have a good variety. I had the raspberry truffle. It was delicious. Great hours and fast service.

Nice little spot within walking distance of our condo. Had breakfast there and ice cream later in the day. I enjoyed the orange croissant french toast and my wife enjoyed the regular. Coffee was pretty good. The ice cream we had later in the day was tasty too, the best we've had on the island so far.

I ordered the egg white frittata, it was delicious! My husband ordered the grandma's breakfast, the potatoes were fresh, the sausage gravy & biscuit was yummy! Very good food! We went back later & got a chocolate milkshake...it was the best on the island!

While vacationing in fort myers. We were looking for ice cream. This was across the street from where we were staying. We stopped here every night we were in town. The ice cream was amazing. They even had treats for my dog. By the third night the young man behind the counter would bring one outside to my dog before I even has chance to tie her up while we ordered. What service. He continued to do that on the nights he worked. There is something to be said about great customer service. Kept us coming back. Thank you!
(5)Mikey K.
Great food and service. Very nice owners. Didn't have room for ice cream, but I'll be back and will try that next time!
(5)Jon D.
It was...OK. Not horrible, but certainly not scrumptious. We had breakfast, once. Won't be back.

My sister and I stopped in for some ice cream about half an hour before closing and ordered a banana split to go. The gentleman behind the counter responded with an eye roll, groaning "you want a banana split?" How charming. When paying he said "you know we hate making banana splits, especially when we're closing, right?" If they are so awful to make then please take them off of the menu. Way to make me feel bad for visiting your establishment.

Adorable spot for an after-dinner ice cream date. Great ice cream selection, very reasonable prices, and friendly staff. We really enjoyed it!
(4)Kelli M.
Delicious! Worth the wait. Have tons of unique ice cream flavors and coffee. One scoop is more than enough. No yogurt options- only few sugar free. For breakfast you seat yourself. We had delicious scrambled eggs, the regular, and croissant egg sandwich. Coffee is good and fresh squeezed orange juice comes out in a large jar. Very nice staff. We found hair in one meal but it happens and they quickly replaced

Had ice cream and breakfast the next day and it was very good! It is pricey but it seems like every place in this area is on the expensive side. Service was great. Omelette and potatoes were awesome!

Wonderful local place for breakfast. Wanted a restaurant with table service but not crazy expensive, and this fit perfectly. The service was super friendly (made us feel like family), food was quite delicious and really enjoyed the specialty of the house--the orange french toast made with croissants. Would definitely come back if only we hadn't tried it on our last day! Will return on our next visit for sure, and chatted with some locals that seemed to make it there daily. One tip: plain coffee was just okay. Regulars suggested the lattes, etc. but we'd already ordered regular coffee, and were underwhelmed with it.

Wow! They certainly live up to their name... Stopped by for breakfast. They were busy in the off season, but we were seated immediately 'where ever you want'. Love the personal touches that you don't see with franchise chains. Everything on the breakfast menu looked delish and had a hard time deciding. Tried the egg white fritatta, hazelnut latte, and a fruit smoothie. I requested a smoothie flavor that wasn't on the menue, and it was 'no problem!'. Quick and endless refills on the drinks. Even the owner stopped at our table to make sure everything ok. The fritatta was to die for; everything fresh. Such a refreshing change from the chain restaurants - great hometown feel. Will definitely be back.

Delicious french toast and bacon! Also lovely glass of fresh squeezed OJ. Delightful staff. Very homey.

Nothing special and in no way scrumptious. Wish Heavenly Biscuit had been open, would have had a better breakfast for half the price. Our waitress was one of those bossy attitude types, which is cool with me, but if you're gonna act like that you better be a damn good waitress... And she wasn't. My mom's gravy for her biscuit was sweet (possibly used sugar instead of salt?) and when she told our waitress it was cleared from our table and that was it. She didn't apologize, it wasn't replaced, we weren't given a discount or anything. My tex mex omelet was average. The guac was clearly pre-made and not fresh, which is just gross. Salsa tasted like Pace from the grocery store. Our waitress never reappeared until I tracked her down for our bill. My glass of water was empty for the second half of my meal. At least I didn't get food poisoning! Won't be back.

Have had pleasant experiences here in the past - very good ice cream. This evening we experienced quite the opposite. One worker (with thick black glasses) was more interested in his phone and the hockey game playing on the TV. He was not helping his co-worker, and gave my friend a death glare when she commented on the game. Sad that this has ruined our experience, we will not be returning.

Fortunately or unfortunately this place is right across the street from where we stay in Ft Myers Beach. They have the best ice cream and we find ourselves going there after dinner more often than not. The ice cream is very rich and creamy and they have a ton of flavors. You get a lot but it's a little on the pricier side (otherwise I would have given it 5 stars).
(4)Sarah I.
Great diner food. Unbelievably friendly service. Quick and truly scrumptious meal.
(4)Anita E.
Stopped for ice cream on a Sunday night. Serves Ice Cream Club brand - so it is not homemade. But still a good brand and tasty. Waffle cone was $1.00 extra. So a small waffle cone was $5.99!!!! Could accept this price if homemade but it's not. Though there was a line at the door, there was no list of flavors available prior to being at the counter. Kinda awkward. So a bit uncomfortable asking for samples since they try to push you along in line.
(3)Sean N.
Stopped in for an americano and a muffin which were both very good the best part was the two lovely ladies working the counter they were both so nice and friendly. They did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and proactively offered us several samples of their wonderful ice cream. For sure a great place to start your day,
(4)Tony D.
Excellent ice cream even better omelettes for breakfast. Very nice and welcoming staff in the mornings. Great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, our family loves this place. Price adds up pretty quickly but quality and atmosphere were great.
(5)Charles V.
Breakfast was simple and good. For $2.00 the bagel was more like Lenders than something done from a bakery in town and brought in every morning.
(3)Gia S.
Great Food!! Great Service!!!! Nicholas is adorable and Zack makes the best chocolate shakes!!!
(5)Andrea U.
This is a very friendly place with fantastic comfort breakfast foods. Reasonably priced and great fast service.
(5)Stephanie P.
I have not had a meal here, but I have had the ice cream and the iced latte Ice Cream is good and would for sure go back. The iced latte is so yummy, loaded with ice nice and strong. It blows starbucks out of the water. The people who work behind the counter are super nice and are always happy to see you
(4)Kim F.
I had the raspberry truffle ice cream here on a chocolate dipped sugar cone. The ice cream tasted amazing. However, it was quite expensive. Ten dollars for two tiny ice cream cones. Overall, great quality ice cream just need to have better prices.
(4)Cathy P.
Food was fantastic! We had a party of 5 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Would definately return!
(4)Kathy F.
Great breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are lovely. Add a cinnamon roll for good measure! Denise and Bonnie provided service that made us feel right at home. We will find this place on our next trip down.
(5)Joe C.
Stopped in for breakfast. The omlet I had was filling and the seasoned potatoes were tasty. Definatly would stop in again.
(4)Angie E.
The ice cream was delicious, the server, an older gentleman, acting as though he really did not want to be there. Too bad.
(2)Saulo S.
Food is really tasty, or server was really nice and she garantes that all items in the menu are cholesterol free... Specialty the roast pork, special of the day! Try the chicken sandwich or the Sloppy Joe, yummy!
(5)Mike M.
Great waitress, terrible kitchen and management, our order took over 30mins to come to the table and when it did one plate had a piece of hair (curly) In the food, plate two was ice cold, the other two plates were ok so 50% chance your not going to be happy! Management should have comped the iced coffee for the guest who had the hair in her food at minimum. Most importantly, management did not apologize for the inconvenience; more or less the issue was not acknowledged at all. There was another party of 6 who too received poor service; 2 out of the 6 received tier food. By the time the remainder of the guests' food arrived the other 2 guests had completed their meal. Their kitchen can not handle preparing more than 1 meal at a time. This is the first time we have ever written a complaint for any restaurant. Disgusted!
(1)Jen M.
Under new management I think. Much better experience than we had last year. He food was very good, service was fast and friendly. They have a huge selection of ice cream that I could not make room for. I had the turkey deluxe sandwich.
(5)Nadia M.
Stopped in for breakfast. Our waitress was very friendly. I had a breakfast sandwich with 3 scrambled eggs, cheese, and ham - that came with a side of breakfast potatoes. Both were good - although nothing special. My fresh squeezed OJ was great. My husband had pancakes, bacon, and a cup of grits. His pancakes were great - light and fluffy. The bacon was good but too thin. The grits were very hot and while they started out thick, became thin. He didn't think they had any flavor even after lots of salting and a pat of butter. Oh, well. We would go here again.

Five bottles of ketchup. If 5 stars is the best, then 5 bottles of ketchup is the worst in my ratings system. Think about how many bottles you'll need to make the meal palatable and you'll get the idea. Truly Scrumptious it is NOT. Our family of five recently had breakfast / lunch here in the new management TS and the best thing we can honestly say is that we lived to tell of it. Egg omelets are suspect (real eggs?? you decide), home fries smelled of fish (cooked in a burned oil used for deep frying fish), sad side salads, and greasy wraps. No one in our party was able to finish half of their meal, and we were starved! Service by the typically college age staff is unresponsive, cold, slow as molasses and sometimes simply rude. This was true for all four people working that day. Two stars -- because they have ice cream, although only the choc, van, and straw are homemade on the premises. The rest is average. Be advised -- there is a Subway in the same complex. Save your money and your stomach and get a 6" inch sub for $3.00 and go back to TS for an ice cream if you must.
(2)Amanda F.
Pretty average experience here overall. We visited TS for both breakfast and ice cream because it was conveniently located within walking distance of our rented condo. The place is clean, well maintained and has quite a lot of seating for an ice cream joint. Breakfast food was hit or miss. Scrambled eggs were over done and home fries were burnt. Bacon and pancakes were yummy and enjoyed by the whole family. Ice cream was tasty (when isn't it?) but service was adequate at best. For a family oriented small business I definitely expected friendlier folks behind the counter.
(3)Brendan S.
Great staff, breakfast, and ice cream. Will most definitely be returning on future visits to FMB. Absolutely must try the Orange French Toast. Cappuccino is quite good as well.
(5)T.L. T.
Very god breakfast, delicious croissant orange French toast and pancakes! God service as well.
(4)Lisa N.
The best coffee anywhere around there. Super nice people. Very clean. They even have lobster rolls! Good place for breakfast and lunch. Not gourmet, just plain good.
(4)Ginny P.
First morning we went for breakfast had fresh OJ and quick service. Food was decent. Second day, friends we were with wanted to go back...we were there forever and the food was not fantastic. Ice cream looked great but didn't have any.
(2)JoEllen H.
Nice family ice cream shop and cafe. Great flavors of ice cream. We didn't try the lunch sandwiches or breakfast but it looked good.
(4)James R.
Great food, inexpensive. Slow service. But the food makes up for it. The best breakfast on the island.

3.5 stars. If you're going to open an eatery, I suggest following Truly Scrumptious' model and stating the obvious. "Totally Mouth-Watering," for example. Or "Exceptionally Delicious." Even "Super Noms." Why beat around the bush? Not that the name alone will allow you to rest on your laurels. We've been visiting husband's snowbird Pops and Step-Moms in Fort Myers Beach for years and never bothered trying Truly Scrumptious until this last visit. Truly Face-Palming. In February Scott P. noted that TS recently came under new management, and it must have made all the difference from those earlier reviews. We saw none of the disorganization, frazzled staff or bad food that others mentioned when six of us descended for breakfast one morning. Holly, our server, was Truly Outstanding, delivering the perfect blend of humor and professionalism with her friendly, attentive demeanor. Plus the place itself -- modest and casual -- was sparkling clean and whimsically decorated with the requisite sea-scene murals and wall-mounted fish in tropical colors. Truly Florida Gulf. As for the food, I think we were all content. Started with fresh-baked cinnamon rolls the size of your head...not my bag, but folks who like that kind of thing seemed to dig on TS's. Next came an array of fluffy pancakes bedecked with powdered sugar (real syrup would have been better than the small containers of the fake stuff), soft, runny eggs, warm, fluffy eggs, bacon so crisp it stood on its own, marbled rye toast, grits (underseasoned and loose), and a South-of-the-Border omelet stuffed with guacamole, salsa and cheddar. Truly Satisfying. Listen, it's FMB. Basic and casual is the name of the game. With that in mind, Truly Scrumptious is Truly A-OK...and a half.

OK, a year makes a difference. Truly Scrumptious has been taken over by new management, so we decided to give it another whirl after last year's disaster. We found a clean, newly decorated dining room with a staff that was ready to please. After a flavorless, overpriced dinner at the Bayfront Bistro, we somehow had a few bucks left to bring the 3 girls in for ice cream. The staff was in good spirits, and they laughed and joked with us as we gave our order to them. Unlike last year, it was an efficient operation with 3 people plus the manager at the ready for the after-dinner crowd. The guys were hustling, and the overall setup was much improved with all of the ice creams behind the counter. All the kids were served really quickly. The only snafu was that it took a few minutes for them to get peanut butter sauce for my sundae in the back. But the manager asked for status on the sundae a few times so I knew where I stood at all time. Information is critical when waiting for a sundae. When they brought it too me, they smiled and apologized for the wait. The kids and I loved the ice cream. Highly, highly recommend the butterscotch bomb ice cream with the brownies. The kids raved about the birthday cake ice cream which I also helped them to finish. We were happy to see the salad with lobster and goldfish was no longer on the newly revamped menu. Next time we're back, we'll stick around for the food. Until then, it is good to see truly scrumptious live up to its name.

The only saving grace is that the staff was friendly. Once we seated ourselves we were pretty much ignored while two other parties who came in after us were served. They have a limited menu so when I ordered and was told they were out of that particular item on the menu, I had a feeling the rest of our experience wouldn't go well. Hated to be right. Diner beware: the jam/jelly/preserves on the table are old. Most of the ones we opened were either shriveled up or shriveling up. My husband ordered bacon that wasn't too crispy. Not only did it arrive extra crispy but it was practically burned and therefore inedible. We waited for our waitress to check on us but it didn't happen until she handed us our check. We told her about the bacon and she made up some excuse that perhaps they didn't read her order correctly. She gave us 10% off our bill but a side of bacon costs $3.99, so it didn't even cover it. Disappointed, and will not return.

Kid loved the ice cream was an average place nothing special. the girls seemed a bit frazzled when another group cam in for dinner and they had to relight the grill? but we were just there for a scoop of ice cream
