    One of the Best Italian Restaurants ever. We had the Crab Ravioli and the Chicken Marsala. Both were mouth watering. Generous portions along with excellent quality. We will be returning on our next trip.

    This place is the worst restaurant I've ever been to . Thanks to Eli the manger or co owner who is the most obnoxious biased, prejudice individual. Talk about rude, that is his middle name. My friends and I went for a special birthday. Just to make a long story short it ended up with ELI pointing his finger at us saying he didn't need our money. Yelling in the restaurant where everyone heard. Why people insist that this place is the best is beyond me. Unless its due to price. However food and service go together. The real owner should be made aware of this. Check the other reviews on TripAdvisor and elsewhere. Eli comes up quite a bit. I also don't think he's Italian, so try Albanian which is not from Italy.

    Looking for a reasonable, always spot on Italian restaurant, without sacrificing quality? Look no further. Been eating here for years; was there two weeks ago, am going again this Saturday. It is good. Go. Service is appropriate, the food is great, the price is right. Need I say more?

    Some of the best bread ever..the garlic spread it comes with had me full mustve ate a loaf and a half..would go for the bread and garlic alone..the eggplant tower appetizer was delicious..ordered the chx scappiola, flavorful but the chx quality is a liitle to reminiscent of something served at a hospital cafeteria..cannoli was good but not great..id go back though

    This place used to be great. But now they've gone completely downhill and they serve the typical crappy Italian food that tastes like it was cranked out of a massive kitchen in a few minutes. The bartenders suck. They never make a martini correctly. The acoustics are TERRIBLE. Prepare to yell at each other to hear. I've been here a dozen or more times. Eli the manager knows my face. I must say shalom and farewell.

    Great food & service...very satisfied. Eggplant parm was very good with spicy spaghetti as requested. Alfredo sauce was a bit salty and watery. Love the garlic butter and bread served.

    I am visiting Florida and I wish I could take this restaurant home with me up north, it is that good! I ordered the veal Parmesan and my mother ordered the veal piccata. For desert we had the tiramisu which my mother said was the best she ever had. The wait staff cared about their customers and there were many regulars. Everyone there felt like family. It was very busy for a Monday night.

    After many times passing this place which is so close to my home we decided to give it a try on Christmas eve!!! Place was packed but lucky for us Santa had a table waiting just for us. No waiting for us.....Nice gift. They started us with bread and Garlic sauce!! I had never seen so much garlic. It was really good. We ordered an Eggplant tower as an appetizer which was really different and good. I ordered snapper which had seafood and veggies wrapped in a paper which was also really good. It reminded me of the lamb I would order when in Greece. Over all a nice place, I would go back. service was also very pleasant.

    This place used to be a 4.5 to 5 rating. One of the most distasteful things is the Motown 70's music. My wife loves Motown but says it has no place in an Italian restaurant plus it is so loud it is very distracting and discoish. We did have the grouper special which was very good along with the buffalo shrimp tempura. We did however have a very attentive server. At the end, we felt the bill was a little high. I think there are better Italian restaurants in the area to spend $100+.

    The food is always delicious. I have eaten here several times for dinner. While I do feel like I am the youngest in the crowd.... I know when I go here that I will get a nice meal and friendly service.

    3 1/2 stars but Yelp does not allow half stars. Great service tonight, good food and ambiance. Noise level was good and comfortable. Place was full but no wait on a Sunday night around 745 p.m.

    I come down here every year and I'm sorry that I have not tried this place sooner. The food is delicious! The bread was nice and warm. The chicken was moist and tender. The host was a sweet heart ! He was friendly , polite and sat us right away( cutie :) ) The servers are friendly. This place will definitely be on our list of restaurants when were in town. Great atmosphere , great service and great food !

    My first time there. Very warm and friendly. Good vibe all around. Fast service. Only had mains and the chicken dishes were excellent. Will go back again and try more dishes and appetizers. Good martini too.

    As I walked into the restaurant I was immediately greeted by the host, He pointed out the specials beautifully plated at the entrance. They all looked delicious. I decided on the seafood coppollio. It was so fantastic..full of shrimp,mussels,fish and then some steamed clams served on a bed of pasta and red sauce. I somehow managed not eat all of it and they packed the remains to take home. Check paid, That's when the monsoon hit. Laugh, I stayed and ordered the warm Apple tart- AMAZING! I'm usually go for chocolate, reading about the open faced tart . I tried.it , Finely sliced apples sitting in a tender flakey crust surrounded by a Caramel sauce and topped with cinnamon ice cream - thank you rain!

    Wow! Talk about Bad Business!! My wife and I ate at Zuckerello's in Aventura and had a very bad experience. They were extremely busy and it was bad. They were very apologetic! The hostess gave us a handwritten note, signed, on her business card, complementary dinner for two. So, we call to have dinner and find out that location is closed. The other location's info is also on the card. I call, explain, ask if they will honor. Reply is they need to speak with owner. Owner does no speak with me. Has manager call to say "no deal". A drink or desert!!!! Really! With all the restaurants in So. Florida? My only recourse is to say Bad Business!! I enjoy giving good/great reviews, sorry I cannot this time.

    I keep giving this place a try. I live in the area and every time I go there, its the same. The people that work there are all very nice. No problems with service or attitudes. They are so nice, I stopped complaining. The best thing about this place is that it is affordable. The food lacks taste. Their sauces are weak. The Lasagne is cookie cutter looking and frozen dinner tasting (I'm sorry). It almost seems that the kitchen just does not really care.

    Gross. Will never go again. Over priced and bland. You can tell the are kept afloat by they're early bird blue Plate special a for the senior crowd. We were one of 2 tables in the whole place in their 40's. The food definitely caters to those with no taste buds! There are ALOT better "Italian" restaurants in the area.... don't waste your money!!

    Always a favorite when we are in Ft. Lauderdale. The Chicken Zuckerello is very tasty. The fresh warm bread with garlic sauce is a true crowd pleaser - provided you don't breathe on anyone for the rest of the evening. Enjoy, it's a great option for dinner!

    Terrific Italian food. Great choices, and LOVE the roasted garlic/olive oil and fresh baked bread. My favorite is Chicken Milanese while my husband likes their Chicken Scarpiello. Always a treat. We go there often. Never disappointed.

    Great food and service. I have been eating here for years and I am finally contributing to Yelp. Fried Calamari and Chicken Scarpariello are my favorites. Unless they have Pork or Lamb Ossobucco. They have specials which they have plated at the hostess stand so you can see what they look like before being seated. Which is a nice touch.

    I am a fan. It is Oh sooo Good. We met some friends that drove down from Boca and it was a good meeting place since we drove up from Dade County. The food is always delicious. The service was outstanding. We never had a bad meal there. Our table was ready and waiting for us when we arrived and that was nice. Go and enjoy, we did.

    We love going here! The manager, Elli, is incredible at his job. Tonight he came to our table and asked me if I wanted the pork chop. This was not on the menu tonight but is the special for tomorrow. He knows this is my favorite and he made it happen! Solo, our favorite server, is unbelievable! He always goes out of his way to make sure everything is great! If you want really good food at great prices, try them out!

    Ive always wondered why there was only 5 reviews to this place, when every single time i come its packed!! Today i realized why, 95% of the demographics here are elderly who have probably never heard of yelp, or internet for that matter. Anyway this place is located on commercial blvd just east to US1 in a shopping plaza. Parking is limited when it is packed with one way roads in the parking lot. We had a reservation at 8:30...arrived 10 min early, didnt get seated until like 8:40...their excuse "we are busy" No shit thats why i made reservations. Oh yea, i saw a cockroach on the wall while we were waiting to be seated.. yeaaaa The food: there are always special dishes available. Today i had one of them. Chilean sea bass with citrus butter on top of a creamy red pepper polenta and bok choy. The dish was very good and at $22 it was a relatively cheap chilean sea bass dish. Sure the sea bass filet wasnt as big as other places. But i was stuffed from eating the delicious bread with garlic chunk olive oil concoction. Other ppl in my party ordered the ossobuco (veal shank), always a safe bet. eggplant parm (classic). Noone complained, everyone said it was good. Amber bock draft was 2.75...woohoo Price: the most expensive entree on the menu is $28 (NY strip steak). Most items range from teens to low 20. which isnt bad. Service once we actually got seated was decent all things considering. Overall: 4 star food for a decent price 3 star service 1 cockroach on wall.

    Z's is our go to place for a good dinner at fair prices with excellent service. Originally an old-time pizza joint, Zuckerello's has evolved into an Italian Bar and Grill serving fresh seafod, prime steaks and wonderful Italian specialties. As we entered the door we were warmly greeted by Eli, the Part-owner/Manager who runs his opperation with precision. Our server, Solo, is amoung the finest waiters in the area, anticipating our every wish and need. Last night our party enjoyed one of their specials on display by the entrance; a fresh snapper filet cooked to perfection and served over linguine with a tasty fresh marrinara sauce. The other entres were the Chicken Nadan special and a classic veal parmisian. Their veal is always tender and properly cooked and was a huge portion, big enough to two meals. The fresh home-baked Italian bread with garlic spead is always a hit and the salads are crisp and fresh, served with their creamy Italian house dressing. The included desert was a wonderful Tirramisou accompanied by freshly brewed decaf coffee. Now for the best part - our total bill was $75! Exellent value for top-quality food. Highly recommended.

    We arrived at around 7 pm on a Saturday evening. The place was empty. We asked the greeting staff for a table for 2 to which he responded "it is a shame ... I only have room for one!" We should have left immediately! Once seated, our waiter introduced himself as Solo. Nice fellow in every way . He brought some bread with a ramequin full of garlic and olive oil. The garlic is the kind you buy from a glass can. There some much of it, I do not think the cooks would have enough time to mince them all in one day. We got the eggplant tower as an appetizer. Deep fried with a few tasteless tomatoes. 2 stars max. I chose the red mussels as my entree. Garlic here we go! The only explanation I can come up with is that they bought them in bulk and there must have an expiration date of tonight on the can! I ate the mussels ... luckily I had some Rollaid in the car. 0 star! One good thing: the red cab domino wine was very good at $22.

    Awesome. Consistent. If you go before 7:00PM, you will be sitting with the retirement community. Not a problem, just something to know. After that, it's a slew of everybody. The bread and garlic are yummy!

    Came here while in town for work. My family lives in Florida during the winters and love this restaurant. Elli the manager is awesome and they made me a delicious gluten free chicken parm dinner. Will definitely return here on my next trip!

    Hubby had a meeting in the area this afternoon so I tagged along with him. Looked on yelp for something close to where we were because neither of us ate lunch so we were starved. Reviews looked good so decidede to give it a try. The decor is a little boring, not much to it but the lighting was very soft and the booths were quite comfy. We got there at 5:45p.m., yes early but we were hungry. The hostess gave us the regular menu and early bird menu. Ha, I did notice we were the youngest patrons in there. There was probably about ten other tables. After looking at the regular menu, I decided to have the Filet of Sole which was also on the regular menu. Same price $15, but you did get a choice of soup or salad and main entree then a slice of keylime pie and coffee. Heck, what a deal. First thing first, HEAVENLY garlic, garlic and more garlic!! I am still tasting and smelling the garlic. The waiter came out with fresh, crisp bread with a cup and spoon filled with olive oil and small pieces of minced garlic. This could have been my meal. Well, it almost was. Next, my salad came out and hubby ordered Pasta Fagioli soup. Salad, was crsip, fresh, and a Italian creamy dressing that was real good. I had to try his soup, and wow it was delightful. There was only one very odd ingredient in it. Bacon!! Really, in Pasta Fagioli, I don't think so. If they would have left out the bacon it could have been pretty darn close to the best which is my father-in-laws. Unto the main entree: The serving sizes are a good size, plenty of food. My Sole came on top of more garlic mashed potatoes and fresh steamed vegetables. The fish was light, but it was bland. I kept pouring salt and pepper to give it some flavor. My bad, could have been all the darn garlic I ate before, throwing my taste buds off. Regardless, it was good just lacked flavor. I did eat maybe four bites and could not eat anymore, because I ate to much bread, yes I got seconds on the bread. Could not resist, it was so good. Hubby had Chicken Francaise, with garlice mashed potaoes and steamed vegetables. I did not try, but he did lick the plate so I think he liked it. Hubby ordered the key lime pie and coffee. I told the waiter not to bring me any as I do not like key lime pie. He packaged up my leftovers and also put a key lime slice in the bag. Which I thought was very nice for hubby later this evening. Really, for me I would say it's a 3.5 star, but could not give four. Maybe their pasta dishes have more flavor. Next time, may give them a try. If I am in the area, yes I would go back but would not come out of my way. The prices were average. I guess it's really hard when you have places like in the downtown Miami area that prices are the same and the quality of the food is much better. Just my opinion though. :) Service was good, our waiter was nice and accomodating. Bread, salad, and soup were terrific!!

    Zuckerello's is clearly the place of the 50 plus age crowd and home of the early sunset dinner crowd. But that shouldn't disturb anyone, as Zuckerello's is consistent in offering excellent service, a good (nothing spectacular, but darn good) meal at a reasonable price. No doubt this is why Zuckerello's has maintained its appeal while many other restaurants around it, such as the Rain Dancer and Andre's, have failed. The interior decor and ambience are sort of old world, appealing to the grandmother type, but clean neat and nice. The service people also tend to be older, but all of them seem to have been in the business a long, long time, know what they are doing and are clearly professional in their approach. To me, I find that welcome relief from having to deal with the Hooter or Shooter type of service, which tend to be all sail and no ballast or all tinsel and no tree when it comes to being knowledgeable or competent in their profession.

    Zuckerello's is a rarity in the south Florida restaurant industry, they have been consistently good and consistently busy for what now, around 20 years? I waited tables here over a decade ago and have been coming back to eat ever since. The owners aren't Italian, Adam Zucker(the founder) is German and Eli is from Israel, but the food is always good and so is the service, all at reasonable prices. It's American Italian, which means big portions with lots of cheese and lots of sauce. If you're looking for authentic old world Italian, try to get a table at "pasta and" in Margate. By the way, they're not microwaving your eggplant parm, guy (that's not even possible) and all marinara sauce is made beforehand in every restaurant on the planet. And yes guy the shrimp were previously frozen. Every shrimp you've every had in any restaurant was previously frozen, even those jumbo bad boys you paid $8.00 a piece for at Prime 112 came in the back door frozen. Most of the bad reviews seem to come from people who got mad because Eli didn't take their shit. We waited tables together all those years ago and he's always been arrogant but he's not a bad guy. I've run restaurants and it's one of the hardest, most stressful jobs around. Guests ranting and raving at restaurant staff has somehow become socially acceptable behavior, everybody wants a comp, and believe me it can be hard not to tell you people to go fuck yourselves from time to time. This place is time tested and worth a try next time you need your chicken parm fix. Don't miss the garlic rolls, they are the best anywhere!

    My wife and I have been eating here for 11 years. We have brought numerous family and friends here when they are in from N.Y. This place is CONSISTANTLY very good. This is the only restaurant in South Florida that we will eat at on a holiday. The fried calamari is always tender and served w/o tentacles. The mussels in garlic lemon are delicious. Try not to fill up on the warm fresh italian bread with the garlic oil .The chicken scarparello and seafood ciopino are excellent. If pork shank osso buco happens to be a special, order it ! I have noticed the age of most patrons year-round to be late 40's to early 70's . This is the age of the local population. In the winter months there are a large number of snowbirds, so reservations are a must. The servers are attentive and the atmosphere is modern italian.

    Came around 530 on a Friday not crowded at all. Our sever was friendly and attentive. The food was good, we tried the Early Bird Special it came with soup,tea/coffee and dessert. The key lime was not good, however the tiramisu was ok. Overall I'd give this place a 7/10

    Love this place, we became regulars in 2 days. Everything on the menu is GREAT and absolutely ridiculously delicious, prices are good, portions are big, service is outstanding, they make you feel like family and they get you seated ASAP. The garlic+bread they serve is something out of this world, inexplicably addicting. Finally, a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale that understands that they have to EARN you as a customer. The early bird is quite the deal. Ask for Ed, he is the best waiter!

    Dining at Zuckerello's is a perfect example of why I don't give much credence to the restaurant tips of others-- people seem to equate quantity with quality. A big helping of 'meh' is still 'meh,' just more of it. The place is huge and dark. We were seated right away. I ordered the eggplant parm and it came not more than 5 minutes later. Red flag! The sauce had the sweetness of a pre-made sauce. The eggplant was fine, but how could it have been made in 5 minutes with melted cheese without using a microwave? The broccoli had the hot-then-immediately-cold feel of microwaving. Given that there were 3 other tables filled, the waiter was surprisingly inattentive, especially when it came time to pay the check. In the meantime, the other waitress sat on the back of the chair at the table next to us (yes, really) and loudly gave her Psych 101 analysis of the patrons' relationship. I'm no classist, but I think wait staff should be seen and not heard. Is this dinner theater? The mashed garlic and butter served with bread was great, maybe it can be ordered to go?

    The food is OK; sometimes very good. The tables are comfortable and the service is efficient if not friendly. I'm fairly sure that Zuckerello's relies too much on pre-packaged, processed, frozen food. Case in point, the crab ravioli I ordered on my last visit. The orange pasta (couldn't tell if it was red pepper or food coloring) was thick and heavy. The filling was the consistency of baby food; and while I could definitely taste cheese, I couldn't taste any crab in it. They were covered in a very tasty but super heavy pink cream sauce that had a hint of lobster. Too heavy, too rich. Too much quantity and not enough quality. On the other hand, the times I've ordered their pork or veal shanks, they have been superb in that rustic, not very subtle way. Slow braised, fall off the bone meat on a rich tomato and pepper gravy. Their standard pasta dishes like the lasagna, the anything parm, or the linguini in clam sauce (mostly canned clams with a few fresh clams for visual effect) are OK but hardly outstanding. Not any better than what you can get at Times Square Pizza for half the price. Zuckerello's is popular with the older crowd, probably because ot a perceived "value." The portions are huge, which is a turn-off for me and the prices are affordable, which is a turn-on for me. I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat there, and I wouldn't wait a minute to be seated; but in a pinch it does the trick.

    I'm addicted to the chicken zuckerello's!!!! I gotta say thaton my first visit I wasn't impressed at all...I had pasta and it was dull, I decided to give it another try since it so close to my house and I'm so happy I did! It took three visits to be served the famous garlic spread, I think a little more consistency would get them a 5 star. Overall it's really good!

    First of all, there's nothing unique about this place. It doesn't have a niche cuisine. It's not nouveau or fusion or micro or macro. Every time I walk into this restaurant, I think I'm going to have a run-of-the-mill Italian meal that gets served in thousands of mediocre Italian restaurants across the country. I don't know why, it just has that feel for me. BUT (big butt - like you'll get from eating here too often), the food is always great. I'm always overwhelmed. Honest. Quality. Reasonably priced. Who doesn't like that? If you stop off at Gold Medal beforehand, you'll need something to soak up the wine - er - not that I would know.

    This place has been packed every time I visit. Yet every time I visit I leave unhappy. The prices are way to high and the staff sucks. I entered this place thinking maybe this time it would be different but it was not. I was told to "make a reservation next time". As I looked around form the bar I realized I was the youngest person in the building besides the staff. I honestly do not remember what I ordered. I know the server came to the table to refill ( I think just switch ) the bread basket. It was odd because he came by three times to change the bread while waiting for our food.

    Great restaurant with a friendly staff and welcoming environment. We ate their at the recommendation of another guest at our hotel. It was very good. The bread and garlic was delicious. My wife had Ravioli with shrimp and I had a spicy Chicken Scarpelli that was great.

    This really is a horrible place for dinner. I went with a group on a Saturday night and it was packed. All 50 plus. I was told half were still there for the early bird specials. The waiter was rude, he kept saying how he could not do this or that because they were so busy and people waiting at the door. (In other words, eat and get out.. we got people at the door waiting for your seat.) The price was on the high side for what you get. The food was way below average. I had angel hair pasta with shrimp and scallops. The shrimp looked frozen out of a bag. The scallops were tiny bits of scallop and also tasted like they were from a freezer bag. The dish was bland and smelly (old fishy smelly). I could not eat half of it. I looked around the table and none of the dished people ordered looked good. They were just piles of nastiness. I prefer a restaurant to pride itself of quality over quantity. Zuckerellos is just the opposite. They give you a big pile of extremely poor food. They should change their name to Yuckerellos.

    **I do notice many of the reviewers commenting negatively about the old age of the patrons. Are you saying older people ruin your night?? I don't understand how the age of the patrons could have a bearing on your personal dining experience. Just an opinion.** Onward.. My Husband and I are now regulars of this restaurant. A few years ago, it changed hands, and the food was really not that good. Now that it's back in the hands of the original owner, the quality has skyrocketed into something really special. PRICE: Every night from 5-6, they have a splendid early bird menu featuring everything from pasta, to chicken, to lamb shank. The cheapest thing (one of my faves) is the cheese ravioli. This is $12 for a 3 course meal--soup or salad, entree, dessert, drink, and fresh bread with a delicious garlic mixture on the side. The chicken/lamb dishes range from $14-$18. FOOD: I can't even say one bad thing about the food. The sauce is excellent, meats tender, and everything is so flavorful. They really go out of their way to make the food with quality ingredients. SERVICE: This restaurant has what so many others are lacking--teamwork. It's so nice to see the employees support each other. If you look like you need something, another server will readily step in even though they're not assigned to your table. Even the host who was SO busy helping about 30 people put their names in, got us a takeout box from the kitchen when he noticed we needed it! We were so impressed. NOISE: It will be a bit loud when you go at early bird time-especially on Saturday night. We've been here at different times during the weekend--Saturday and Sunday. We've had a few really quiet dinner, and we've had a few loud dinners. It just depends. AMBIENCE: CUTE! Excellent ambient lighting, nice art, decorative wall colors. Pretty classy, and very clean. ALL IN ALL: GO HERE! You will not be disappointed in the food, and the employees will make you feel very special.

    first of all, they bring out this hot roasted garlic swimming in olive oil and some hot bread to spread it on..... I will eat a lot of that but I am a garlic and oil lover...if you are too, then this decadent goody is for you and they will bring you as much as you want....... Any dish you get here will be great....and no skimpy portions either.....i never have had dessert here.... .......although the early bird is a great deal, you may need to amp up your anti-depressant medication after dining with the loud, old and overweight early bird patrons....spring for the extra bucks and eat here after 6pm......also....sign up for the 2 for 1 birthday/anniversary deal. they will email you coupons

    I admit that I am a Miami boy -- I know where many good restaurants are in Miami. When you take me out of my element, I have to rely on others opinions. Thus was the case when we were in Ft. Lauderdale recently and wanted to go to dinner. We decided on Italian, but found a nearby Olive Garden with long wait. We continued to drive around and came upon Zuckerello's. My wife walked in and asked for a table; she was told to make a reservation the next time, but they seated us immediately. The food was very good and the restaurant was full; in looking around and listening to the varying accents, my guess is that there were mostly out-of-towners eating here. The early bird deals are excellent adding a salad and dessert to a regular priced entree. We ate well, but the key lime pie for dessert was a bit iffy -- it had a consistency of pudding and was rubbery on top. Overall, the prices were reasonable and the food was excellent.

    This place was great! We came for my cousin's 16th birthday, she got calamari in a white wine sauce with linguini & it was delicious! Next time I come, I am definitely getting that. The service was amazing and the food came out so fast! My family and I had a great time & my cousin enjoyed her birthday :)

    Looking for a new place to eat we stumbled upon this restaurant. Very reasonable and great service. Good early dinner specials. Nice hot bread with a garlic spread that was so good that i could've had just that and wine for dinner. Good sized salad and decent portions. We had an appetizer and 2 main courses with 2 glasses of wine and bill came to $62 Worth it!! Staff was great too..

    this is mediocre food, its a lively atmosphere, lots of locals and repeat customers and very friendly but the food is not cheap and the quality best enjoyed elsewhere. There was a time that the food was better but that has been several years back and long gone. depending on your food experience, if you are used to good quality dining, you will be disappointed. with so many great restaurants in the area, there are better choices. Pomodoro and Piccolo just across the street to name a few for Italian. They offer high quality, fresh made dishes and no comparison to Zuckerellos plus you will probably spend the same dollars. Everything tastes pre-made.... definitely below IL Mulino which is always made fresh, home made and family oriented. somehow this place thrives but it all depends on your foodie taste buds and standards.
