I've tried all the Bahamian restaurants in So. Fla. and Shelia's is by far the best. I used to go to her place in WPB whenever I was in that area. Now they moved closer to me in Fort Lauderdale, a nice place and still the same great food. I love and always order the Conch salad and Cracked Conch dinner, in fact I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I have heard from others everything is really great, but I strongly recommend you try the Cracked Conch.

Love the food here. The cracked conch melts in your mouth. Delicious conch salad. Amazing fried shrimp. We been eating at Sheila's since she was in Lake Worth. Definitely go here. It's great.

You have to come here with a certain set of expectations. It's in a strip mall and is nothing special in terms of appearance. However, the food is fantastic! I had a conch salad (spicy) that was a perfect blend of heat, vinegar, crunch for the veggies, and awesome conch! But the unexpected surprise was the wings. I ordered them after deciding against the fried conch and shrimp dinner. I got the "Island Hot" and can honestly say they were the best wings I've ever had... and I've had a lot! They were the perfect size (unlike some of these fatty, freakishly huge wings at some joints) and were fried to crispy perfection. The flavor in the sauce was unique and incredible. Wow! I'll be back!

Authentic Caribbean Raw Conch Salad & Fried Fresh Conch. Sheila is from the Bahamas and she previously operated restaurants in other Florida cities. This new Ft Lauderdale restaurant opened last week and they have excellent fresh conch salad. I visited Eleuthera, Bahamas for many years and Sheila's conch salad is comparable to the fresh conch prepared seaside by local Bahamians. This small strip-mall restaurant has a small dining room. The conch salad is made to order and the spiciness can be adjusted to your taste. My lunch also included fried conch, and fried shrimp, which I normally don't eat. But both fried items were delicious, served with a side of rice and pigeon peas (also popular in the Bahamas.) Service was friendly and attentive. If you love conch salad, go the Sheilas soon!

Amazing conch salad and the best conch chowder we've ever had! The fritters were the perfect addition to the meal. So good we took more home with us for later :)

Amazing conch fritters. Huge, fluffy balls of conch, perfectly seasoned and fried. Sheila came out to say hello while we sipped an ice cold kalik beer. Would definitely return. Looking forward to trying the wings and conch salad next time.

The hubby had cracked conch, fried shrimp and fried fish. He ate the whole thing. I had the medium conch salad which is enough to share as is the Conch Fritters. 6 is enough for 2 people. Quiet on a weeknight!

Sheila's Conch and Wings recently opened and I was happy to enjoy a pretty good meal there and the opportunity to meet Sheila though of course I didn't let her know that I might just be there not only eating but also Yelping away as I ate. One thing about the place, you can tell that running a restaurant isn't a new rodeo show for Sheila since she seems to know what she's doing as the established didn't show any of those painful signs of just opening, menu or service bugs about it. After reading their menu, I opted for the Seafood Dinner of "Conch, Fish & Shrimp" at $15.95 which came with my choice of two sides from which I chose baked beans and sweet potato fries. When served it came with a healthy portion of fried breaded conch, some rather tasty breaded fish and shrimp along with plenty of sweet potato fries a red cocktail sauce and a sweet sort of French or remoulade sauce along with a squeeze bottle of ketchup and a bottle of Crystal hot sauce. Basically not only good but rather tasty meal. If I'd have any complaint at all it would be with the tiny postage size napkins, which though they gave a good number of them, turned out to not only be small but rather wimpy in strength. When I attempted to cover my mouth to sneeze, I not only blew a hole through several of them but also managed to set sailing a number of paper fragments that unfortunately ended up in my baked beans and remoulade sauce. Don't laugh! Absorbent paper, baked beans and remoulade sauce do not work well together. All in all it's a rather nifty place and the serving of conch and wings an interesting combination concept I've never heard of before. Though nothing to realy rave about I can see myself returning so I guess I might be considered a fan, hence I'll go Four Stars minus on it, but I guess that's Four Stars none the less.

Sheila and the other guy working were very personable and the food was great.. I had conch salad and hot wings. The conch salad was fresh with the perfect amount of spice. It's the closest tasting conch salad that I've tried to that of the Bahamas.

A cozy little spot to check out. Not on the beach, but nestled in between the shops along the boulevard, west of the Intracoastal, just far enough away to escape some of the vehicular and pedestrian traffic jam of tourists that occurs right on the beach. Personally greeted by Sheila to have a seat in the colorfully painted dining area with island music playing at a comfortable level (not like some places that have the music so loud that you can't even hear yourself think). There's also a corner spot reserved for live music performers. Selected a 3-entree combo to sample the various menu choices. The cracked conch, shrimp and wings comes with a choice of two sides. Everything was tasty, but the large fresh shrimp were my favorite. The side of peas and rice was cold and dry, but the onion rings were hot right out of the fryer.

OH! MY! GOD! is all I can say... OH. MY. GOD! I absolutely LOVE Bahamian food and have eaten it in many places in the Bahamas, Nassau and Freeport. I LOVE CONCH & have tried it multiple places high end and little shacks. After trying multiple places in Florida, I gave up because nothing ever came close. SHEILA'S IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! Even better than IN THE BAHAMAS! Food is SO fresh! Its PERFECTLY seasoned! I am going to be driving from Orlando JUST FOR THIS LITTLE PLACE! My ONLY complaint is she doesn't offer Bahamian mac & cheese!!! But the amazing quality and flavor of everything else makes up for it. Also, it is only slightly higher priced that this type of food in Bahamas but it honestly is better and to me, worth every dime! The conch salad is the real deal!!! And totally delicious & fresh! Expensive but worth it!! Did I mention it was awesome???

It's Sheila's alright because she's actually there serving up her goodies, running into the kitchen, and fetching island beers that are refreshingly cold. I'm not a real keen fan on Caribbean food; but only because it's not a cuisine I'm as familiar with as I am with Latin concoctions - and I confess that I'm far more familiar simply because of my parentage, with Mexican, Mexican-American, Tex-Mex and Cuban concotions. Sheila's is a great introduction to how Jamaicans do magic with (conch) fritters and take some jerk spice twists on chicken weeks that elevate them to snazzy ethnic cuisine. While not "cheap" as some of the other area pub grub being served up locally - it's not expensive either when you gander at your pretty full plates of goodies and realize just how full a fritter can make you feel. I'm looking forward to a return to get to know more of the unique dishes.

Today I went to Shelia's Conch and wings for lunch. Super friendly service. Excellent Conch salad. In fact, the very best conch salad I have ever had. I definitely will be visiting them again for more conch. I grabbed a menu to go and look forward to having the Conch and shrimp and wings next time. Clean restaurant, super friendly family from Shelia to Sam and their wonderful children come to visit with you during your visit if your not too busy inhaling your conch salad! AGAIN, TRY THE CONCH salad!!! Its Amazing and definitely the Very BEST conch salad in town! So.. Enjoy your conch and don't forget the friendly faces who service you the conch! Brandi

Although their food is really good, time is just as important as tasty food. Unfortunately the few times I've been to Sheila's, I've waited too long to get my food. Last time I ordered wings on the phone, which usually take about 15-20 minutes to cook. I got there half an hour later to pick them up and they still weren't ready and I was the only customer there. I ended up getting my wings after an hour of waiting. Ridiculous! When service is bad, you will not be in business for very long.

I think Yelp should allow us to go half star. I would have rated this place 3.5 stars. So I feel that 3 stars is low I ave it a 4 star. The conch fritters were awesome but never having them before I cannot compare them to anything else. Is the batter normally so thick?? The salad was really good as well. And finally the wings. I was warned about the spicy ones but once again disappointed. PLus I like the dry wing style. Found the wings very salty but still not to bad!! The deco of the place was cute, music a iittle to loud as we had to ask to lower it!!

Food was great and the portions were way more than enough. We took food home. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The conch fritters, cracked conch, and shrimp were all great. Bonus surprise were the fresh cut french fries. I love fresh cut fries! Definitely recommend this place for any conch lovers.

Took my dad here today for fathers day because that is where he wanted to go. Got cracked conch & shrimp lunch(came with a side) and 5 wings lunch(came with a side). We got a side of sweet potato fries and reg fries. The fries were cut fresh...both the sweet potato and the reg(Im impressed because I've never seen sweet potato fries cut fresh to order). The food was ok, I wouldnt say it was amazing. I tried on of dad's wings (which were "med") and it had a kick w/o being slathered in a pink hot sauce...which was nice. The waitress brought us cocktail sauce, but when I asked if she could bring more horseradish...she didnt know what that is. The check was not rung up/calculated correctly, and they fixed it immediately. So overall it was an OK experience. Looks like they might have a band on Fri & Sat (tho I am not sure how...in a space that tiny)

After trying 3 different places from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami, we were getting upset because the conch was not fresh and too chewy. So when my husband said let's try this place, I really didn't want to, but we did anyway. And I have to say this place is the BEST!! This place is awesome, the food and the service, they make you feel like family. There conch fritters, cracked conch, conch salade, chicken wings and onion rings were soo yummy and FRESH. This is the place to go when you are missing the Bahamas!!!! We just made it our #1 place to go when we visit Florida again.. My son said this is the best place he has ever been, great food and great service (he is 10 yrs old) lol

This is a great little place. Everyone is from the Bahamas and the theme is island-ish. Bob Marley music playing all the time. The conch fritters are to die for and the wings were just amazing. Service is very laid back but not bad by any means. The place is clean and both guy and girl bathrooms were huge and very clean. Lots of tv's as well. This is a true hidden gem that most people only find via yelp.

The lunch menu is very limited in that every item is fried. The dinner menu has more options including some that are not fried. This will do in a pinch, but the limited menu doesn't make me want to come back.

They have the freshest, most authentic conch salad I've had in Florida! The kind you order by the gallon!!! So GOOD!

My friend (Bahamian) and I decided to come here (my first time ever eating Bahamian food).. We walked in during lunchtime on a Friday, we were the only customers for a few minutes. We wanted to order Bahamian Drinks (she had none)!!so we just ordered water., My food was Conch Fritters, Cheeseburger and Fries (it was good, my friends food wasn't ..the Conch Chowder seemed like it was just Progresso Soup, with Conch mixed in. Sheila (the Owner) was (cooking also seating guests)!! Once we finished our meal we asked for desert, I'm sure you can guess what she said, that's right... "I'm sorry we don't have ANY deserts".... She said she has been in business here for only 7months, but it's no excuse for lack of food items/drinks even condiments such as pickles for the cheeseburger I ordered.. I won't be back and I'm sure that my friend won't either.

These guys KNOW how to prepare and serve conch. We had the breaded conch and naked wings. The conch was tender and flavorful - more tender than any I've ever had, and I'm from the Caribbean, so I've had a TON of conch in my life. We got here around 11:15 at night and the service was A+ even though they they were near closing. They weren't out of anything and the food came out in no time flat. Seriously this place is my new go-to joint for conch. Oh - don't forget to try the red velvet cake!

Ok so I've seen the sign and the cute decor from the outside every time I eat at Zuccarelos across the street. I finally tried it for lunch today. Basically the go to items on the menu are conch salad (think ceviche), fried conch (prepared like calamari), conch fritters (similar to hush puppies), and fried chicken wings. They have fresh fish as well but I think when you try this place for the first time, your fairly tempted to try the former. I ordered the wings and conch fritters. In a nutshell, the wings were fried to perfection and tasted great but nothing out if this world when it came to the hot sauces. The fritters if you can imagine had a texture like a dense, thick, heavy fried donut with very little seasoning inside and that includes conch. What I HOPED for was a light airy beignet type batter with fresh conch, bell pepper, and onions and maybe some jalapeño thrown in. One could dream right? Anyhow, I will be back to try one more item. Some fresh conch salad, except I'm taking it to go for the sandbar or a day fishing. Until my next review!

Went in here earlier this week for lunch. We were the first table there and had amazingly attentive service. Sadly, once a couple of more tables came in, service was almost non-existent. Once we were able to flag down someone for our check, it took about another 15 minutes to be charged. It really did feel like we were on island time. Unfortunately, I don't think our boss would have liked that excuse! As for the food, we ordered the conch, fish, and wings lunch specials. The conch was very fresh. My co-workers said that the fish was also fresh, and that the wings were not as hot as they could have been. We also ordered some conch fritters that were just okay. I'm sure I've been spoiled by having them in the Bahamas. We found these a little too beaded. We will definitely be coming back, however, we will probably be picking up take out for fear of it taking too long. We are also considering coming in after work and kick back with a couple of Kalik Golds.

Don't bother with the Conch chowder. It's horrible. The Conch salad is lite, fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend. Also, the wings are one of the best in Ft. Lauderdale. If you really like wings, you need to try this place. No matter what you order, be prepared to wait, as everything is made fresh to order. Gonna keep this place in my rotation for take-out wings during football season.

Sorry, Sheila's. Despite the reviews (that lured me there) it's awfully mediocre. Go to the Bahamas for good conch. Everything here is WAY over fried - couldn't taste the seafood if you tried. Wings might be decent - I didn't try them, so no guarantees. Okay atmosphere, smells clean too.

Wings were made fresh. They take 30-45 mins. to make so order ahead and pick them up.

Very quaint. Waited a long time to get food out despite being the only people there for awhile. The wings were fabulous but I thought the onion rings, sweet potato fries and conch fritters were too greasy. The conch salad was excellent as well. We would come back
Sheila serves up the best cracked conch I have ever tasted this side of of Eleuthera. Long a cracked conch aficionado I always try the cracked conch when I see it on a menu, but am often disappointed. Not so at Sheila's. She has it down, and the cracked conch here is the best to be had in South Florida that I have ever discovered. As I think of it, it's better even than any I tasted on Eleuthera, too.

We drove past a few days ago and my husband couldn't wait to come here after reading reviews. Run, don't walk, to the best conch you'll ever taste! Even my son who usually only eats a bite or two of seafood couldn't stop eating the conch fritters. My husband said it "exceeded all of his expectations". Hubby also loves conch salad and has eaten it all over, and he said it the best and freshest he has ever had. We had breaded & unbreaded medium wings, and while we liked them both, we agreed the unbreaded were better. Both regular and sweet potato fries tasted fresh like they were just cut up. As if that weren't enough we shared some fried shrimp & cracked conch--again, so yummy. And their dipping sauce was delicious too. We ate until we couldn't take another bite lol. We like to eat healthy but this will be a staple on any future cheat days :) Our waiter Sam was so wonderful, attentive and pleasant. A woman walked in just wanting to check the place out and ended up sitting with us and helping us finish the fritters and cracked conch-- also agreeing the food was amazing! Cute decor with all patrons pretty friendly and chillin' with Bob Marley playing. I can't wait until we come back.

Fantastic conch salad. I feel like I'm in the Bahamas with the conch being pulled right out of the ocean!!

Clean and simple, nice music and service is good. Sweet potato fries were cold but so much yummy conch that I didn't care

Great little place for conch gave it 5 stars, so fresh we have a place to come for in fort Lauderdale when we need our conch fix instead of going to the keys and less to drive ....
