We've had the good fortune to stay at Pineapple twice and visit once by the graces of good friends. We are completely spoiled by the attentive, unobtrusive service the staff here provides. It's somewhat akin to what one might expect on a cruise ship. Start with continental breakfast (with mimosas and bloody-mary bar on Sundays) and enjoy lemonade, water and snacks all day. Throw in ice-cold washcloths offered poolside in the heat as well as periodical popsicle service. Mix in a full complement of delivery menus, and a pleasant happy-hour offering of beer, wine and cheese. The result: you never need to leave the grounds (or the "compound" as we call it). Seriously, we were in Fort Lauderdale for five days over a holiday, and never once felt the need to go see the ocean. That's not to say it's far: Pineapple is very convenient to the ocean as well as to tony Las Olas Blvd. If you want to meander, you can -- and in fact, please do, because that leaves the hammocks for me. My absolute favorite spot is the charming two-bedroom cottage, which features an outdoor "living room." In a Florida summer rainstorm, there's no better place to be. I'm adding this to my own list of "must visit more often." Just a few days here lets me relax and just breathe again.

I whole heartedly recommend this guesthouse! The staff is amazing, and so approachable! They made our stay the best one could ask for! Please try them, and tell them I sent you!

I have been a loyal PP patron for about 12 years now. It is one of the few gay guest houses that actually understands what hospitality means. Phil, Judd, Lincoln and staff are extremely friendly, professional and always looking to help. They are genuine guys who always greet you with a smile. Yes, it's a little pricey, but so worth it on many levels. Rooms are bright, clean and comfortable. Grounds are meticulously maintained and give a feeling of seclusion (in a good way). If you are looking for a party crowd, this is not really the place. If you are looking to relax, be pampered, and meet quality people, then you have found your match.

The only place to stay in FTL for a gay getaway. I have been staying here for weekends away from Orlando for several years now. I've stayed here alone and with groups of friends- it's always a good time. If you are traveling alone, you will find the clientele very friendly and outgoing- a combination of singles and couples. There are also some people that live in some of the various condos attached to the compound- all of whom are nice (and nice to look at as well, if I can say that!) Like the other review says, the guys don't miss a beat in their service or in the details or amenities of the resort. Note that Pineapple Point is not right in the heart of Wilton Manors or other gay areas, so everything is a little drive- but nowhere is over 10 minutes- beach, Los Olas, Beach, Wilton Manors, etc. It's more expensive than other places in FTL, but you get what you pay for. This is not some run down 1960's motor lodge on the beach. It's a luxury getaway. Much nicer than any of the 'nice' places in Key West for sure. Check their website- great summer specials!!!

LOVE THIS PLACE! A cozy guesthouse, with a ton of palm trees, with deck pathways and a maze of buildings that is fun to navigate. There are many different huts (or little buildings). The rooms are decadent, with fantastic linens, fancy soaps, cable tv and free high-speed internet. As a matter of fact, once you are in the place, you pay for nothing, unless you want a massage. They really roll out the red carpet for you when you arrive, walking you to your room, helping you unpack if needed, and then bringing you champagne! The royal treatment! I would stay again and again and again!

Lush landscaping, a true clothing optional oasis. I mean, when they offer free towels, sunscreen, lemonade, yogurt and espresso...what's not to love?

I had seen many glowing reviews about the service and this establishment as a whole yet even those didn't prepare me for the high level of service received during the stay. From the moment you walk into the office you will notice how well staffed and their high level of customer service really can't be outdone on any level. They could compete with any 5 star hotel or resort I have stayed at around the world. The room was also far beyond what I could have hoped for. It had a large bedroom and a large living room and full kitchen. I could honestly be happy living there it was that wonderful. :) they have a wide variety of room styles and although I didn't see the others I know from speaking with guests all are very nice even the most basic rooms available. the nightly cocktail hour they offer with complimentary wine and beer and snacks was a great way to meet other guests and mingle. I really enjoyed that a lot. So many nice people and almost everyone I spoke with have been long time returning guests which I will become as well. The location is not along the beach but honestly I didn't mind that as much as I had thought. The grounds and pool areas are very secluded and wonderfully tropical you really don't want to leave. But if you enjoy the sand they offer complementary bikes for an easy peddle to the beach. The plus of their location is they are walkable to las olas so you don't have to worry about driving back and forth to dinners there. So many little details from coffee and newspapers delivered to the room to the complimentary breakfasts, daily lemonade service and snacks poolside really build up your feel for the way they do things. I can't say enough how wonderful this place is and can't wait to come back.

We called last minute to book a room on our way back from Costa Rica. We stayed one very slow night (apparently between busy weekends), and they allowed us a very reasonable rate. Although we only saw 3-4 other guests, we had a great stay. The room was adorable and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They offered a very generous "continental" breakfast and insisted on making us an awesome beach bag with snacks, water and towels when we headed out for the day. When we returned in the evening, we were offered complimentary wine and cheese by the pool. We did hear conflicting information about the "dress code" and where certain attire was expected, but that was the only imperfection I can think of. We will absolutely be making Pineapple Point a destination in the future.

Amazing vacation spot with the best staff in the business. So accommodating and friendly. My third stay here. Just flew back home to NYC and I can't wait to go back. Such a great experience and it gets better and better each time. I love this place!

I checked in for a one night stay and arrived after a short night's sleep prepping for an early morning international flight. I checked in around 5:30 pm and was shown to a secluded room at the back of the property, and immediately went out to get some dinner with friends. I arrived back at my room about 11 pm and went to bed, exhausted. There were 3 large air conditioning units just inches from the door to my room, but I was tired and fell asleep despite the mechanical noises. Awoke between 3 & 4 am to the AC noise, followed by the sprinklers coming on around 4 as I lay there trying to go back to sleep, and then the room next door began a shower, and I eventually fell back to sleep around 4:30-5. Next I awoke around 8:30 to more AC noise, and power tools! They were performing maintenance on a nearby room and the tree trimmers had arrived to trim the many palms on the property. So maybe it was just the luck of the draw, but my experience was not worth the price I paid! Maybe you will have better luck.

Pineapple Point is an all male guest house complex, perfect for a quiet retreat from reality with a bit of pampering. This is not a scene. If you are looking for love and romance, this is not the place to look. Come here by yourself to relax. Come with a boyfriend or husband for a private (honeymoon) get-away. Come with a bunch of pals to catch up on old times and make some new ones. My boyfriend and I have come back several years running, this place has consistently delivered great service. I like all the rooms, some larger and with more amenities ( hot tubs, roof terraces, larger apartments) and some are smaller and simpler, but they are all very comfortable and all step out into some of the most beautiful gardens I've ever seen. The gardens feel like an extension of the rooms.

Man, I love Pineapple Point; I wish I could go more often. It's in the Victoria Park neighborhood, so about two miles, maybe, from the beach (if you don't have a car, bikes are available). But I never want to go to the beach anyway; it's a hassle, plus, the sand). At Pineapple Point, the grounds are beautiful, and it's wonderfully relaxing to just lie around the pool all day. Lemonade, water, snacks, magazines and sunscreen are available free all the time, and sometimes they bring around popsicles, cold towels and bottled water. Yep, they treat you like a king at Pineapple Point. Judd and Phil, the owners, are excellent hosts, and Lincoln, the office manager, and Roberto and Jahir and all the others who work there are as cute and sweet and nice and thoughtful as they can possibly be. The care they lavish upon you is unbelievable; it's like they're thinking two steps ahead about how they can ease your life. Continental breakfast is provided from 8 am til 11 am, and besides poolside, there are snacks available in the office/reception area all day. There's also a TV room with a computer and printer if you need it (plus games, books, mags, etc). On Sundays there's a bloody mary and mimosa bar. There are several places that will deliver lunch when you're ready, and the PP staff puts it on a tray and takes it wherever you want (your room, poolside, etc). There are always two gold foil-wrapped pineapple-shaped chocolates on the tray; they'll be on your pillow at turndown too. What else? Two hot tubs, a lap pool in addition to the regular pool...I already mentioned the beautiful grounds. Oh, and there's a daily poolside happy hour with free beer, wine and a cheese platter, so if you haven't already met fellow guests, it's an opportunity to do so. The rooms are spotless and have everything you could ask for: mounds of pillows, all kinds of amenities in the bathroom, Wi-Fi, cable TV, adult DVDs and, um, personal accoutrements. (I'm pretty sure you can check out CDs and regular movies too in the reception area; I just haven't done that.) I always have a good time at Pineapple Point; weekends tend to be busier, and during the week, it's a little more relaxed. (Yet it's always relaxing, if that makes sense.) It's clothing optional; whether you take advantage of it or not, the vibe is so chill that it absolutely doesn't matter. You can be yourself and be completely comfortable however you want. If you're feeling battered by daily stress or gray winter weather, in a couple hours at Pineapple Point, you'll feel all your cares and stress melt away. You'll love the guys who work there and you'll love the place. It is hands down absolutely the best!

Wow. We were upgraded to a 1500 square foot, two story suite. Nicer than my place back home. The grounds are excellent and reminiscent of Key West. There are hammocks, a lap pool, a regular pool, a hot tub, a gym, a spa, and other things that I am probably forgetting. The staff is very attentive. We stayed for three days and left only to go to dinner in town. The patrons there are comprised mostly of the highly educated over-forty crowd. The obnoxious, loud, party crowd I am guessing has been priced out of this place. Very nice.
