I would love to give this restaurant more stars and a more positive review because I think the food is actually quite good. I had the dan-dan and my dining companion had the chicken teriyaki, and we both shared edamame. It is good food and the price makes it a good value. However, on the negative side.... Having a single user restroom for such a large restaurant was bad planning. That night I wanted to wash my hands before eating and I ended up leaving and going to Starbucks to use their restroom (and pick up an iced coffee on the way). Also, the customer service was sub-par. There really is no excuse for that. So, if you want some decent Asian food from this place, come with clean hands (and an empty bladder).

PF Changs and Pei Wei have always been one of my favorite Asian cuisine spots. However the lack of good management as well as good intentions, not mentioning the lack of desire to help, enthusiasm and cordiality of the employees including the current manager, Randy, is changing my opinion. As a manager of a hotel, my heart is on customer service, apparently not this guy's. I took a very dear friend to diner tonight, accompanied by his mom, whom I had ask to the restaurant a few times, but always declined, stating that they've never had a good experience there or good food for that fact. I convince them any way, cause I was craving the Honey Seared chicken, but what a mistake that was. We stared with the drinks, one of the two soda machines was out, the second one did not have more than half the flavors... I always ask for extra meat on all my dishes because it really is not enough on the regular serving, even if you ask for the larger portion, but when the food arrived, the actual "extra chicken", was 3 small pieces more than the regular portion... That is not worth the extra $. The flavor was much stronger than it normally is and much acidic than I ever remember it being. The fried rice was good tasting but vegetables were not crunchy like they normally are, more like soggy and old tasting. The egg rolls were saturated in grease and not crunchy as one would expect. My friend ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and even though he had not enjoyed them the last time he was there, he gave them another try, well they were over cooked, with a burn flavor, and super salty. There were more green onions than chicken and not too many lettuce leaves. When we told the waitress that his meal was not acceptable, that he rather order something else, the manager, (someone told me his name is Randy), came by the table and told us that if there was a problem with the food, we had to pay the difference on the dish we were re-ordering because it cost extra. $1.80 Now, a whole dollar and eighty cents, you would think after having explained to him that the food was unacceptable, and that we were not very happy as well as my constant referral of customers from my hotel to their restaurant, not too mention that I had included a menu of Pei Wei on each room so that guest can learn about the restaurant and go dine there, even after telling him all that & that the food was unacceptable, he said that the rules were the rules and he can not make any exceptions. I told him, I know as a manager my self, to keep a customer happy and coming back, he has the power to make decisions that favored the business, such as a returning costumer been far more valuable than $1.80. He said no, that the decision comes from the region manager not from him. I mentioned that when the place first opened, the manager then, who's card I still have in my office, even arranged deliveries to our hotel when we ordered 5 dishes or more, that's how much business I was bringing in from my hotel to the restaurant, that I came there quite often and my guest and employees did too, and I can just stop. I told him as a manager he should be more accommodating to patrons who are promoting his business and recommending it and bringing in business, to ensure their continued support, to what he said, " there's nothing I can do". I was astonished, and said, is not the $1.80, is the principal! Put it out of your own pocket if you have to, that's what I would do in his place, my business appreciates our customers far more that $1.80 that is just sad, no wonder all reviews are bad. Im pulling all menus from the hotel, to the trash they go! Good luck to that location, if things keep going this way, with this guy in charge, I give it a couple more months...

I went here for dinner on a Wednesday night. I ordered a small Thai Dynamite with chicken, as presented on the menu. No additions or subtractions. Not a big deal to me, but I noticed the fountain soda machine (Coca-Cola) was out of most of the flavor syrups (cherry, vanilla, etc). It looked like everything else was in stock. After I was in my seat for about 15-20 minutes, one of the employees came to my table to ask if I had received my food yet, to which I replied, "No." I heard a racket behind the counter, and less than five minutes later my food arrived. It looked ok, as in it was plated well, but the chicken appeared very dry and over-fried. They were pretty stingy with the sauce. I almost thought I was at Buffalo Wild Wings with an order of boneless wings. The flavor: horrible, and barely edible. It taste like they flash-fried it, but caught it on fire with lighter fluid. Not just the chicken, but all of the veggies too. If I wasn't starving, I would have left it on the table and gone somewhere else. Very disappointing experience overall. I've been to this location several times previously with no issues. I do not think I'll be returning, especially with other options nearby.

Paid 12$ for my chicken teriyaki and it only had 2 small pieces of chicken in it. I'll never eat there again.

Just picked up a take out order of Pad Thai from here and half the noodles were hard. So disappointed. I was so hungry too. Raw packaged ramen would have been better. What a waste of money. Never again. Gosh, you suck so much Pei Wei.

  • Sahar S.

Should have looked at the reviews before eating here, single using bathroom, the fountain drinks out of syrup even after telling the employee and "fixing it", the coke zero came out like club soda. Me and my husband ordered 2 shrimp pad Thai , mine with extra bean sprout .when the order arrived his plate had sauce all outside of it and looked half the size of mine. Neither our orders had cilantro nor bean sprout in it. Instead mine had extra noodle and no sauce . I told one of the employees and he said let me tell the chef . 5 min later he came back and asked me to remake the meal. I said ok. 5 min later he came back and said kitchen is out of cilantro and bean sprout!!! Maybe they shouldn't offer a meal when they are out of the ingredients. Anyways I wasn't able to eat it due to poor taste. Will not be returning to this store at least. Peiwei is not the same anymore, sad!!

  • Ryan M.

Man! I should have looked at the reviews before I came in here. Poorly managed with poor communication skills and didn't get any better with the rest of the staff. No wonder there are only three people in here at prime time on a Saturday. Go somewhere else to eat and don't waste your money.

The floor is filthy and the tables haven't been cleaned off from the lunch crowd. If I worked for the help department I would shut them down.

Pei Wei is a resturant made by the folks that brought you PF Changs. Much of the fare is similar but with a much more individual portion. Also many of the flavors have been "kicked up a notch" from the quazi blandness of Changs. make note that much of the menu is "spicy" that doesn't mean burn your mouth habenero spicy but there is a definite heat. Also, this isn't a place for kids as the food is more refined. You will enter and order at the counter and then your food is delivered to your table. The table is also cleared by staff as is becoming common in many resturants (boston market, etc) which is nice because they plan to clean up the table so are staffed accordingly, as opposed to mcd's where when some pig leaves a mess it remains that way for hours. PeiWei isn't for everyone and some of the qualities are european in nature, but I enjoy the food. (Note you can order online and pickup for to-go service)

Food is typical Pei Wei but the service at this location is horrible. The staff gives off the impression that they give 0 f*cks.

UPDATE:::: Well it's been a year and it's gone downhill fast for this place. The last 3 times I went the service was slow with lots of errors. Now I can sympathize as long as someone is trying - but the help seems disinterested and could care less. They may as well whip out their cell phones while you are placing your order and take a call. Forget the added niceties like fortune cookies and napkins, you're lucky if you get the right food. Food has gotten bad and syrupy. I will not be back for a long time. Shame as it was my go to place.

  • Willow F.

I love Pei Wei but certainly not this location. Every time I go in I get pissed off. The service is slow the employees have very little training and they never accommodate to special request i.e extra sauce on the side or extra chicken which you pay for so its ridiculous that you wouldn't get it. The location on Pine Island is 100%better.

    (1)
  • Kandice S.

Not quite sure what's happened here since they've opened this location...The past 3 times I've been here the service has gone downhill, to-go orders have been incorrect and the taste isn't on point with other Pei Wei locations. Total chaos to pick up my order with 1 person at the counter who was overwhelmed. My receipt shows coconut curry shrimp yet I received Thai dynamite shrimp. I like spicy food, but this is beyond spicy so much so that I can spit fire. Sad to say, but this will be the last time I eat at Pei Wei on 17th St in Fort Lauderdale. #lostloyalcustomer

  • David W.

Pei Wei on 17th you are a cruel mistress. I have been eating Pei Wei for years (in Texas), and I have always enjoyed the variety, atmosphere, and service at Pei Wei. While this particular Pei Wei delivers the same food as the other locations, the service leaves a lot to be desired. However, I am unsure if I will continue to visit this Pei Wei location. The last three times I have ordered my food for pick-up have required waiting for 30+ minutes beyond the agreed pick-up time. The last time I visited required 60 minutes of wait time and the restaurant was only half full. This location needs to step its game up or I fear I will be getting my lettuce wraps and honey seared chicken from another asian restaurant.

  • Kelli S.

Not a good experience. I always thought that the open kitchen concept was cool, except when the kitchen staff is putting on a show that includes yelling, fighting, screaming at each other. This behavior was exhibited by everyone on the line including the kitchen manager! Hard to believe that they would even hire someone who couldn't keep their cool in front of customers. There were 10 people waiting for to-go food who were very uncomfortable witnessing the entire thing. I waited 30 minutes for my order because the kitchen staff was engaged in this fight. Unacceptable. I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

    (1)
  • Fred S.

The place was almost empty and I had to wait 25 min to get a chopped salad. Food quality was bad and waiters and kitchen staff were constantly arguing Shameful for a restaurant.

  • Brandon R.

I have to say, for how quick you get the food I have always been very impressed with this establishment. The food is always fresh and very tasty. My go-to-eats here is the honey seared chicken bowl with fried rice. It consists of fried chicken bites tossed in a sweet honey glaze. The fried rice is s chicken fried rice. If u want my advice, I always accompany with a pork roll or spring roll. The best part is that you can either order a full and have left over for lunch, or get the kids size and it's the perfect amount. I'm two hundred pounds and it's plenty of food for me. Top it all off with, of course, a fortune cookie!

    (4)
  • Chris G.

Pretty much on or with the rest of the reviews. Poor customer service and very slow. For such a great location, they are dropping the ball. Be prepared to wait over 25min for your food with a small line. No sense of urgency.

I work for a Tv network in the health and fitness realm and travel often. This is the first Pei Wei that I have been to (and I've been to many because I look for them in each city I go to) that thinks steamed or stock velvet means to finish it in the wok with oil. We have asked specifically for this not to be done and they said that there is no other way. They obviously don't know what steamed only means. If you're trying to eat healthy, don't be fooled by this location's menu. It's pan fried in a wok with oil (making the entire meal taste the same...like burnt oil). Even the manager wasn't willing to accommodate. Worst Pei Wei we've ever visited. Most Pei Wei's are accommodating (Boca was), so I don't suggest avoiding them all, just this Ft Lauderdale location.

  • Rocki R.

i usually dont eat at fastfood places with the exception of BurgerFi. Ordered a chicken dish and asked for them to use light oil and do the healthier version that they offer and all i could taste was soy, they must have removed the oil and added triple soy. The flavor was just gross and horrible. never again

I'm a blue collar guy and I always tip. FYI You cannot add a tip on your card here. You must use cash. I carry cards most of the time because this is the 21st century and I think the cash only tip policy cheats any hard working table staff.

This location is a roller coaster it's up it down you never know what your going to experience... Well as of yesterday it's down. I am not sure if they have a new cook or he simple doesn't want to bother cooking food. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it came out with completely raw mushrooms we are talking heat never affected them. I really feel he forgot to add them while he was cooking the dish and and after it was plated he tossed a handful of raw mushrooms on top. I sent it back and guess what it came back exactly the same the second time around. I think it's time they find a new cook because the one they have now is a joke.

It was so cold inside that everyone was sitting outside. They said they did not have control of the thermostat. Well, get control. Outside, there were not enough seats, so we enjoyed sharing our table with another couple, giving us a chance to complain about everything together. Some simple crutch tips on the chairs are badly needed. It's hard to enjoy your meal with all the noise of chairs being dragged around. Clearly the management of this location has ZERO regard for the customers. Oh, the food? Just OK. Soup was cold, way too much salt.

    (1)
  • David P.

Just one word.. TERRIBLE.. how do you messed up a bowl of wonton soup? By serving soup Luke warm n no flavor.. The Oriental chicken salad is marginal.. If you want Chinese food, this is not the place..

Went here for a quick bite. Didn't end up quick at all. I've been to pei Wei locations before and it has never taken this long to get my food. Had I not paid in advance i would have walked out of this place. Major inconvenience and the food, well it was ok...Id avoid this place if ur expecting pei Wei as a fast in and out option....

The SLOWEST restaurant ever. I ordered to go and watched my food sit there in the window... i asked the girl if it was ready and she responded that she needed to clean a table outside first.. before i could flip the manager intervened and said he would take care of it. As he is packaging, an employee comes up to talk to him.. he became more focussed on chatting than packaging my food. It took a good 30 minutes from order to out the door. Dont go here unless you have all the time in the world!

The slowest restaurant I have ever been too. I've been here at least 3-4 times and the service gets slower each time. The front counter personnel appear to be high school age without any concern for customers waiting close to 1/2 hour to get their food. Last night I was given two coupons b/c I had to wait too long. One was for $1.99 off. Thanks. I won't be back, so keep your coupons and put some money into hiring extra staff and training them properly.

This was the worst dining experience ever. The food was too salty and inconsistently cooked. The service was horrible. After a few bites we left the 29$ meal what a waste of time n money.

  • Micah T.

This location is horrible! I love Pei Wei, but this is the 3rd time in a row I've gotten bad service. The last time I got there, paid for my food, they handed me the bag and left. Come to find out when I got home that the entire order was screwed up. Had to drive all the way back to get the right order completely redone. This time I ordered over the phone, the person taking my order was completely incompetent taking my order. When my wife got there to pick it up 20 min later, had to wait still on the food, she had to have the order fixed due to it being wrong, didnt even add the rice to the order, so had to request that. Then after I had requested teriyaki sauce over the phone and my wife requesting it in store, still forgot it. Dont go here.

I was leery about eating here because of the negative reviews. I was a "dine" in customer and it was pretty early on a Tuesday night, so perhaps others are justified in complaining about wait times for take out. However, my overall experience was very positive and I would recommend this restaurant to others. I had the fried rice with shrimp. I ordered brown rice and extra veggies to make it *healthy* :-). I was very pleased with the meal. The small size was plenty for me (and I like to eat!). There was a good amount of shrimp and veggies and the food tasted a lot fresher than I expected. I've eaten at P.F. Chang's and didn't enjoy the food because everything tastes too sweet for me. This was different and much better. I also had a cup of the Thai won ton soup and thought it was fresh and tasty. It's a smaller portion, but with the bowl of fried rice, it was just right. Service for me was speedy and very pleasant. Regulars may have legitimate complaints, but I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely eat at Pei Wei again based on my experience here.

Your choices for Chinese food are so weak in this part of town that Pei Wei is actually a pretty decent option. I have not done takeout here but have visited a couple of times to eat in. The service is usually pretty good and I haven't had to wait a long time for my food. I like that they have one of the computerized soda machines with a ton of choices. The food here is not going to blow you away but it's about as good as PF Changs for less than half the price, and like I said, you could easily do worse picking another Chinese place around here. There are decent options nearby for sushi and thai - you can also get thai food such as pad thai at Pei Wei by the way - but if you want something you would normally go to a Chinese takeout for and you don't want to drive to another part of town, I'd go here.

First off, I LOVE Pei Wei, and the one near my current residence is AWESOM, but this location.... it's just simply atrocious. I have given it several attempts to impress me, but today was the last straw, I will never go back to this location. Today I ordered 2-8 piece Wasabi crunch rolls and an order of Edamame. 55 minutes later I received, what i suspect was supposed to be, a spicy tuna roll, a wasabi crunch roll, and 20 cold, limp, soybean pods.

    (1)
  • Neil B.

And down goes a once proud franchise. I have been coming back hoping for improvements, but today was the last straw. Only one customer in the store, but the tables were greasy, floor dirty, and the self-serve drink area a mess. To top it off, I was served a plate full of raw chicken. This used to be a lunchtime favorite, but if they don't care, how am I supposed to. Move on, there are dozens of restaurants in the area.

    (1)
  • Adam S.

Worst Pei Wei experience ever. Waited 50 minutes to receive a takeout order. The poor girl at the front had no one to help her pack orders even though she was overwhelmed by phone and walk in orders. You are better off ordering and sitting down here because at least that way you will receive your food in a decent amount of time. I will not go back to this location.

  • Horatio L.

Only open for little over a year and it has decided so fast. Plates sitting for long time, no one sweeping the floors. The service has gotten slower than it was before, making you wait 15min for your order.

  • Elizabeth A.

The first two cups I was given by the rude cashier lady were dirty, (food stuck on one, sticky drink still in the other) so she offered me a to-go cup. The forks and knives available had food stuck to them, too, so I also got plastic utensils. My kung pao chicken plate had a chunk of white sauce on the rim. And some pieces of white rice were too hard to eat. I'll never go to this location again. With so many good options in this area, there's no reason to settle for extremely rude service, dirty dishes and mediocre food.

I ate here twice in two days, enjoying the overall experience with no spectacular "notes" to remember. Oh--it's pronounced "pay way" in case you wondered like I did. (I asked.) I have not been to PFChangs so have no comparison to its parent company. My night visit stop-in was about 8 pm. The place was crowded. I placed my order which included a glass of red wine that is poured right at the order counter and was given a number. I chose fried crab wontons and a bowl of hot & sour soup. The wontons were perfectly crabby tasting with just the right crunch. They were served in a pool of perfectly balanced sweet-spicy sauce. The hot & sour soup was mediocre, with a strong strange bbq or red sauce base. It was nicely spicy but virtually devoid of ingredients--maybe a couple strands of black fungus and that's it. Big disappointment here. Perhaps end of night bottom of the pot? Wine $7, Food $8. The next day's lunch visit was about 1 pm. The place was only half full but many tables were not bussed and the floor was noticeably filthy. There was ample help but none seemed interested in the cleanliness aspect of restaurant care. I ordered the vegetable/tofu orange peel dinner with white rice. It took noticeably long for it to arrive, a waitress even inquired after ten minutes. The meal was full of snow peas and carrots and three slices of strangely thin sliced and smoked tofu. The tofu taste did not seem to go with this meal (and I'm a tofu fan). I had at least 8 bites before I tasted the first orange flavoring. When these "bites" were found they strengthened the meal tremendously. It should've been a dominant flavor though, not a buried one. The food here feels clean and healthy (as opposed to mushed to death). The spicy bites were great, not overwhelming. They only had the one "vegetables and tofu" option for all their dishes, which I imagine would get boring quickly to non-carnivores. I feel their menu quality could improve based on the observations noted. Cleanliness was weak in the eating area, but in both visits I was there after a probable busy dinner hour and they must've lost their "oomph". I love the trendy look and the total bistro concept of this place. It was a nice exploration. If I lived closer I would not find the need to eat here regularly tho, until they perfect a few things.

Came here with my cousin to share a dish. We got Thai dynamite chicken, spicy tuna rolls and some fried wontons. Everything was delicious! The food was better than most Asian restaurants. The service was also very good.

I have visited this location a few times and have never been impressed compared to other Pei Wei's I've been to. In the past the service has been slow, the restaurant dirty (uncleared tables and dishes piling up everywhere), and general lack of customer service. The food has usually been decent though, but tonight it was WAY off to the point of almost being uneatable. I ordered the Orange beef and when it arrived it had large chunks of pineapple mixed in. I've had this dish before and know pineapple is not part of it, so I asked the staff. All I received was a curt "That's how it's made." I ask if they have some chopsticks and they say they have run out. I'm hungry and I know I'm not going to get anywhere with the pineapple situation, so I start eating. The beef was so salty and had an almost sickening fake sweet taste because of the pineapple. For the first time at a Pei Wei I can say it was awful. I've given this place a chance, but no more. The other reviews are correct, this place does not live up to Pei Wei standards and has continual problems. This place needs an overhaul quickly.

This doesn't even deserve half a star. It sucksssss. Waited for take out. It took them 45 minuts! Then when they handed me my order they say " oh by the way, we are out of hot and sour soup, you are getting egg rolls instead". Good thing I live in another state. This place should be out of business. They are horrible. Don't go!

I like to try different this on the menu but my go to is the original lettuce wraps and the kung pow!!!! This place is clean and the bathroons are clean too and they have a nice outdoor seating are if you want to enjoy that florida breeze.

Sorry.... I"m updating this review and my update AIN'T a good one! Ok, so I asked for honey chicken with noodles and the sauce on the side. BIG MISTAKE. Apparently, "sauce on the side" means BIG OLE cup of sugary sap on the side of mushy, completely tasteless ramen noodles, and 6 small, pitiful fried chicken chunk pieces that taste like they've been fried in the same chicken grease they were fried in last year when I'd actually given this place a good review. When I could no longer stomach the noodles, I asked the attendant if he could being just a simple small side of white rice for the last 2 little chicken turds that I'd had left. It was almost like he'd expected me to ask for the rice because he knew how bad the noodles sucked. He's nice enough to bring back a large side of plain white rice but, alas, the rice is cold, lumped together, and crunchy like another customer and sent it back and they figured it was too good a bowl to waste. Maybe it was 2 hours prior when they'd actually cooked it, but by the time I'd gotten to it, it looked and tasted like the crunchy pieces of rice that somehow always manage to make it to stick onto the outside container of your take-out box. So, yea... NEVER coming back! EVER.

I've been to both of the other Pei Wei locations that are near my home and have always enjoyed the food. This location is always a problem, though. Not only is the staff rude, but the food is not good. Today I placed an order for sweet and sour chicken to go and had to throw the entire thing away. First of all, when I walk into a restaurant I don't expect to wait 10 minutes before a cashier greets me. There was no one in the restaurant, yet I waited at the counter for 10 minutes before I even saw an employee. The cashier who finally came out from the back (texting while she walked up), was extremely unpleasant. I had to ask her to ring me up because she just handed me the food and gave me a blank stare. I can usually excuse terrible service, especially since Ive had good experiences at other Pei Wei locations, but my food was completely inedible. Not only did the chicken taste sour, it was bland, like the cook forgot to put the sauce on, and everything tasted charred, like it'd been burned. I tried to stomach some of it just because I needed to eat, but ended up tossing the entire meal. I'm mad I wasted the money but mostly I hope it doesn't make me sick. I'll drive out of my way to avoid this location from now on.

THIS PEI WEI WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NOT THINK TWICE. I got charged twice for my meal and they refused to help me. This location has some of the rudest, slowest workers I've ever come across. The girl who rang me up wouldn't give me a receipt, just walked away from me and started talking to her co worker. I had to wave her down just to ask if my order even went in, she laughed and said "yeah that register hates me". No, no sorry for the wait or sorry for the inconvenience. It's because these employees have no concern for the customer. When my order was ready, the black guy with dreadlocks (Edison) told me my card was declined. I asked for the receipt and of course they couldn't get me one. I asked for a manager and they said there wasn't one available. So the next day I see the same charge over and over, so I come in to see Edison and he, once again can't help me. He admitted to remembering me from the day before but still couldn't do anything about it. Told me to come back tomorrow. Worst experience I've ever had, it's one thing to not be happy with the food but it's another when you steal from your customers. Pei Wei needs to invest in some proper training for their employees.

I think the point of dining at Pei Wei is that it's supposed to be a pretty quick meal that should be standardized American style Asian food that tastes good and satisfies a salty craving. If I want to wait around for 40 minutes for lunch, I will go someplace with true waiter service, and a bit more attention to detail. I came here for lunch yesterday and the place was busy. And they were disorganized and not ready for it. I wanted to grab a quick lunch, and just ordered a chicken pad thai bowl. Scanning over the tables there was one that was decently clean while the others sat dirty and empty, for a while. Then I began my wait. The runners who bring food out looked confused, scanning tickets, scratching heads, walking around looking for numbers to drop off food only to return back to the pick up counter to scan tickets and scratch heads again. I heard one women complain she was waiting a half hour for her food and I was hopeful I would not fall into that category. Nonetheless, I did. I eventually saw my lunch sitting on the pick up counter for about 5 minutes before I flagged down a server to get it for me. Lunch ordered at 1:40 pm. Not served until 2:10. This is not the quick meal I was hoping for. The chicken was rubbery and overcooked. The flavor of the noodles was pretty good but overly oily and sweet. Ate my lunch was was thankful to leave. This location does not have its shiz together...

Needed a break from the usual lunch options around my office so I took a short drive with my co-worker and chose to pass on Chipotle (a fave) and try it's neighbor, Pei Wei Asian Diner, instead. Little did I know it's owned by or a division of P.F. Chang's. (I should get out more often, huh?) I walked in to a surprisingly nice spot. I guess I expected a slight step up from a fast food joint but it looked like a simple but elegant sit-down restaurant, which then made me think I'd be paying an arm and a leg for a quick lunch. Well the menu was a little overwhelming, not because of too many options per se, but perhaps too many combinations. I just needed a second, which turned into five minutes lol...But then I was ready. I ordered a teriyaki chicken lunch special and upgraded to fried rice with some wonton soup (included as a side in the lunch combo). All in all, I believe I paid under $8 for the meal (no drink) and it was delicious! Savory, fresh, and great presentation. Two thumbs up for the patient service staff as well in helping me choose my meal and bringing it out to our outdoor table! In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger...I'll be back!!!

Pei Wei keeps the standards up across the board. When traveling for work and just feeling like a good affordable meal to take back to the room Pei Wei saves the day. If you're looking for extra veggies order a side of steamed veggies. For those that like a kick get some chili paste. Otherwise it's hard to go wrong here.

Nice inside and inviting. I had the carmel chicken which was very good with a nice portion size...

I love tai food and the coconut tai chicken with rice was amazing.... And it was reasonably priced and served quickly. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes.

This pei wei location is on point.. fast, friendly, and tasteful. Consistent food quality. . The meals are same quality order to order.. I have noticed at other locations this is not the case. Dining here for 6 months, so far so good.

Terrible service on to go orders. We have tried twice on different occasions to call in an order and they hang up on you after you are on hold. Poor management. Food is fine. They need to get there act together.

First time here - ordered a simple chicken salad. It took over 35 minutes to get the salad. It was presented with a soup spoon. (no forks available). Every empty table in the restaurant was dirty and no one was concerned about cleaning them. Eventually I went to the drinks station and got 10 napkins and tea hot water and wiped down a table, and moved the dirty dishes to the drinks station (they are still there 45 minutes later...) the Salad was okay, if you don't mind eating a salad with a soup spoon. Obviously I won't be back...

I frequent here at other locations, mainly Orlando and usually have a good experience. The Mongolian Chicken is my favorite. Today I had a very bad experience...20 minute wait time while nobody was in the restaurant, dirty silverware, coke machine was empty of dr pepper and ice, and tables were dirty. Manager roaming around the restaurant not seeming to notice or care about much. Stay away from this location.

Are you kidding me? This is really owned by PF Changs? What an embarrassment! I ordered a pretty simple dinner, but I guess the American chef at a Chinese restaurant had other ideas. Hot and sour soup slightly resembled the brown gravy you take out of the fridge the day after Thanksgiving - cold, gelatinous an coagulated. Seriously?! The Dan Dan chicken was some seriously over done clump of noodles with a thick sweet goo containing what looked like bits of chicken - at least I think it was chicken because it had no taste and the texture of canned dog food. If I had not been feeling so poorly I would have walked it back from my hotel, but after three bites of the noodle dish and no microwave to try to salvage the soup, I dumped it over the balcony into the waterway and discarded the containers. Hopefully the sea life survived. P.F. Chang needs to make a visit to this location and set the ship on the right course! Glad I've never seen one of these in Atlanta!

It is a regular place for me to eat since I go to school around the corner. Like the fact that they start serving lunch at 11:00 am. Many times I have noon meetings and a class immediately following and want something prior. I can always count on fast flavorable food. Atmoshere is nice with the option to sit outside.

This particular location is terrible. I've tried it three times and each time was worse than the last. Tonight, nearly every empty table was dirty when we arrived. They were out of clean forks, out of iced green tea, one of the Coca-Cola machines was out of diet coke and the other was out of ice. My order of Kung Pao chicken came out soggy and flavorless - it was so bad I could not eat it. My husband politely asked them to remake it and 20 minutes later, it came out exactly the same. I've had that dish countless times at other locations and it is always great - but not at this location. There is a total lack of management at this location and it is a shame. I have been to several Pei Wei locations and have never had a bad experience anywhere else - in fact the food and service is always consistenly good elsewhere....but definitely not here. Do yourself a favor and choose one of the MANY other great places to eat in the area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
