The basics can be great too.. Marges doesn't try to be edgy or hip. It doesn't have an experimental gastronomical menu. Heck it doesn't even have a web site. But it does have good diner food. Marges doesn't do dinner, so be sure to stop in for lunch or before. You will appreciate the basics. From a burger to the eggs Benedict the fare is solid. Nothing that will blow your mind, but you won't be let down either. The diner is classic all the way around. Old school booths, a long sit down counter and the layout is reminiscent of restaurants in the Midwest planted in the middle of Main Street. Even the corner store next door is connected, so you can walk from the restaurant to the corner store from inside the dining room. A classic feel to it. If you are looking for a classic breakfast, and want a ambiance a little homier than a Waffle House, stop into Marges, you will be glad you did.

Overlook the sketchy plaza and step back in time to enjoy real comfort food. Had been here years ago and was incorrectly advised by a friend that Marge's had closed. Fact of the matter is that they never closed for breakfast and lunch, just dinner. They are now open for dinner on Wednesday nights only. Had a fabulous turkey club sandwich. Marge advised me that they roast two 30 lb turkeys every day. I could only eat half of the sandwich because it was so big. Service was terrific. Marge herself was my friendly server. Will be back Marge!

I did have their corned beef and cabbage today, it was very very good. The owner was super nice as were all the ladies that were working today. Great local joint with a great breakfast menu. I'm not from here but this would be my morning stop every morning if I was a local.

I've been eating at Marge's for 10+ years. It's your classic diner food without the extra grease and much better service. I love the friendly environment and the old-time feel of having a drug store in the other half of the location. Highly recommended!

I've been eating here for years but can't comment on much other than the biscuits and gravy. I literally get them every time and am never disappointed! Best I've had. Fairly priced and polite service.

OMG..Finally!!! Marge's restaurant did a trial for dinner the 1st October in Wednesday and it was great everything from the stuffed pork chops to turkey and stuffing and homemade lasagna that was out of this world. Home cooking in Oakland Park go by and show your support..Julie and her husband really take the time to make sure that every single person is happy..

I have been eating at Marge's Garden restaurant for 20 years. They have the best breakfast and lunch options around. I was excited to find out they were going to try one night a week to serve dinner. I've been there two weeks in a row and I was happy as I could be. The food is always fresh, reasonably priced and the service is always with a smile. I like to take my family out for a home cooked meal the whole family can enjoy. If you're in the oakland park area stop in and tell them Stacy and Christina sent you! We promise you won't be disappointed.

We've been coming here for years and today was excellent as usual. Marge's is only opened for lunch with one night (Wed) staying open for dinner. The food quality and low prices are great. The Greek salad with grilled chicken I enjoyed today was very moist and flavorful. My husband had the grilled fish which was also wonderful. They have the best homemade garlic toast which came with the meal. Keep up the great job!

Cool little place attached to an old school local pharmacy. If you appreciate the old school, quality food and supremely fast service from the kitchen, this is the place. Biscuits and gravy were awesome, with fresh big biscuits. The eggs Benedict were well above what you get from other places in the area. All of the servers appeared to care about all tables. All around, a nice shiny(greasy) spoon in an area where people pay to be seen. If you have Botox this probably isn't the place for you. Go spend $20/ person on Las Olas.

Marge's Garden Restaurant which also operates under the name of Julie's Garden Restaurant is a great place for breakfast or lunch, but does not serve dinner. It's a diner like setup with plenty of booth and counter seating, and though the booths are unpadded, comfortable enough. It's clean, has a pleasant décor about it and the super friendly, efficient and full of joking humor evokes the very best in a diner type of dining experience. The menu offers breakfast and lunch are well organized, all-encompassing with separate daily special lunch offerings such as Sheppard's Pie and other choices not commonly available in most diner establishments. I've gone here several times for their eggs benedict with hash browns and have always been pleased, especially with their hash brown which come with a nice charring and char like flavor to them. One unique thing about the place is that it not only adjoins but is a part of Garden Drugs, which is one of those now very rare independent pharmacies which you access inside from the restaurant by merely walking into. So, if you have a prescription to be filled, it's convenient to merely drop off having lunch or breakfast while you are waiting.
