This place was truly mediocre as far as the food goes. But what makes this place truly a one star is the fact that they served raw chicken to us and didn't event comp us the meal. They made us pay for raw under cooked chicken that could have made someone sick. Please don't go here, there are much better places to send your dollar.

We just ate there last night. The food is truly mediocre - nothing special or flavorful. If fact, one dinner, the chicken Parmesan, came out with the chicken not cooked fully. When we informed the server, and had her look at the chicken piece, she told her manager who said all they would do is provide us a replacement meal but took nothing off the bill! Now way would we want another bad meal...don't go there!!!

I travel all over the country and the eggwhite omlete at Blue Plate is the most amazing omlete I have ever had. I actually sometimes have dreams about eating these omletes they are that good. ALSO as a huge fan of Bloody Mary's they are also top notch.

We had dinner at Blue Plate tonight. We ordered the chicken and wafflers- delicious!!! What was disappointing was the service. Our waiter failed to even take our order. We were waiting for almost 10 minutes before a waiter came over and said I'm not your waiter but I'll help you. Turns out our waiter was hanging out at the table next to us. Service was just slow and unattentive.

Have enjoyed the food everytime we've gone. Brunch menu and vibe are fun with a DJ on Saturdays. The portions are large and food comes out hot and delicious. My fave is the biscuit and gravy from brunch menu and omelets..while hubby prefers the thin crust pizza. If you have a players card you get 20% off your check...never had a problem with service..servers are cheerful and accommodating ( I have alot of food allergies). Overall a laid back atmosphere with yummy food :)

Just your typical casino diner. Good food; slow service.

The food here was great; however the service left much to be desired. I came here with a friend around 6:00 on a Saturday evening. For the Hard Rock crowd, this is a little early so the restaurant wasn't packed by any means. Once we were seated, it took about 10 minutes for a server to even come over to greet us and take our drink order. We waited for another 10 minutes for the drinks to come out and finally a different waiter came over and asked us if someone had taken our order. We told him that we were waiting on our drinks and gave him our drink order. He came back shortly after, and since our waiter had already brought the drinks he left a basket of bread at the table instead, which was very nice of him to do. Despite the lackluster service from our assigned waiter, the food was good. I ordered the veggie burger, which was made of black bean and it was delicious. It was one of the few black bean burgers that I've had where you can actually taste the black beans. The fries were good as well and the food was brought out hot, much to our surprise. The only bad thing about this place was the service. Our waiter didn't even smile at us until he brought out the check. If you come to this restaurant, I would just recommend that you not be in a rush because the service is slow. The food is definitely worthwhile though.

We stopped in here for Lunch on Dec 26. Although the food was good, service was very poor. We weren't given knives and when we asked for one, the server brough us one to share. We were over charged and after waiting quite a while to bring it to our servers attention, I finally had to walk the bill up to the cashier myself. Getting the bill corrected took 15 minutes. While we where there I could see 7 wait staff and 3 cashiers all standing and talking to each other, yet none ever approached me to see if I needed anything.

DOESN'T DESERVE THE ONE STAR I GAVE IT! this is the worst restaurant ever. upscale diner, my butt! the employees look miserable and it shows in their service. to make a long story short, the evening ended up with my friend and i waiting for a wrong order of food for an hour and forty five minutes by a lame brain waitress who blatantly ignored our table and refused to apologize. seriously? how long does it take to whip up an omelet and some calamari?? the manager paid for our meal and blamed it on the kitchen being busy that night. THE PLACE WAS NEAR EMPTY. even with the food being free, it was terrible! never again!

Went for lunch after having some luck on the 25 cent slots (I was feeling loaded) and Hard Rock sends debit style discount coupons if you play with their rewards card. We ordered a philly sandwich and a fish sandwich and the portions were colossal with great fries. Staff was really good about looking at my card to see if I had to cover the rest of the price of the lunch after the coupon. Free lunch! After lunch... blew everything I won. Not so free lunch.

The Blue Plate at the Hard Rock in Hollywood is my favorite restaurant !! I eat here many times before a concert and it is always great !! The waitresses are very friendly and always have time to talk with you a bit. The food is always excellent !! The atmosphere is very nice -- not noisy like other restaurants nearby. I am going to eat there more often, even if I don't have a concert to see. It is worth it just to drive there to eat dinner very often. Great place and awesome waitresses !!

Dinner at Blue Plate tonight was pretty much what I expected. This place is known for it's bad service, and it lived up to it's reputation. The place was pretty empty, so one would wonder why the waiter just disappeared right after bringing us our food. Food took a bit long to arrive, but nothing terrible. But the waiter did not come back to the table even once to ask how everything was. We did not get our drinks refilled at all. Finally, we had to have a bus boy track him down. This was not bad service; it was NO SERVICE. Someone in our party commented that it was actually better than other times. These people play in the casino, and that's why they eat here, but I don't put up with this kind of service and keep coming back for more. There is no excuse for it. Management needs to wake up and address the issue. There are lots of unemployed people out there who would like a job. Fire your employees who do not want to work! Train them better! Read this Yelp to them! As for the food, I would say that it was a bit better than I expected. I had a Ruben sandwich, which was good. I tried Someone's chicken pot pie, and really liked it. Most in our group ordered sandwiches, and everyone was pretty happy with their selections. Would I come back? Not unless friends drag me over here again!

Blue Plate is located inside the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood near the Rock Spa/Cafe/Convention area. It is 24/7, so it's always a choice for some late night/early morning eats. My husband has his annual convention here each year. This was the perfect place to absorb the late night drinking. I ordered a ridiculous fried mac and cheese grilled cheese. When I saw it, I realized I had to eat it deconstructed. It just seemed too gluttonous to take a huge bite. I liked the Mac and cheese part the most, really surprised me. I kind of left the bread/cheese behind. Everything was clean and service was typical in a diner setting. Enough to get the job done. One weird thing is they don't serve breakfast all day, so make sure to look at the times if you are craving something specific. Overall, a fine affordable stop while at the Hard Rock. Oh yeah, use your players card and get 10% off the whole bill!

We went here this morning during our stay at the hotel and it was almost to the point of inedible. I had the 2+2+2+2 (2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage) and it was awful. The food was barely warm and the eggs (ordered scrambled) were not even cooked all the way and we're super runny and left on the plate. The pancakes were cold and not anything to rave about. Worst part was I couldn't even send anything back in a timely manner because our server didn't stop by to check on us until our meal was almost over. Service was not good at all from the hostess to the waiter. Not friendly and genuinely don't care. Don't waste your money.

Despite the fact that the server messed up on my order, breakfast was delicious. The food portion is quite large, make sure you have an appetite or expect to take some with you.

Maybe this experience was only terrible because I went very late at night... Ok first of all I feel like everyone that was working this shift was extremely slow.. Maybe sleepy haha... Our server greeted us after being seated for 12 minutes (yes, I timed it) the worst part was that the restaurant wasn't even busy, it was actually quite empty. Food took an extremely long time to arrive.. And when it did it had to ask 3 employees for barbecue sauce before I got it, only to then wish I wouldn't have waited because their so called barbecue sauce tastes almost the same as ketchup YUCK ! I was expecting to get the soup before the meal only it arrived 15 minutes after the meals !!! At least it was tasty! Luckily I had some comp dollars in my casino card and only had to pay 16 dollars out of the 50 something dollar tab! Because i was highly disappointed at the horrible service... I have no complain on my burger or the crispy naked wings(ordered the buffalo with no buffalo) they were actually quite good... But the chicken tenders were quite ordinary for $10 dollars. I've heard good things about this place in the day time... But if you go at night and notice unhappy, sleepy, lazy staff !! RUN FROM THIS PLACE ! Also the late night menu is pretty small.. Not too many options.

I'm a huge breakfast person. Always have been, always will be. The thought of eggs Benedict makes me happy. Okay.. that statement was SO weird, but true. I work nights, so the thought of eating a delicious breakfast after a long weekend night shift is what gets me through. Hubby and I used to venture all the way out to south beach and hit up the News Cafe for their delicious breakfast, but unfortunately the older we got the more tired we've become and we're just not up to it like the old days. Now we head over to Blue Plate for some eggs and gambling since it's a lot closer and open 24 hours. Every time I go I order the same thing. You've guessed it, the eggs Benedict. It's actually really good! I'm not a fan of the potato overload on the side , so I just ask for fruits instead. I usually order a mimosa, but this last time the waiter suggested the flavor mimosas which I didn't even know they had! He was nice enough to bring me little samples of each to help me make up my mind. They had mango, grapefruit, and some other flavors, but I chose mango. It was decent. After we finish stuffing our faces we head over to the machines to waste a little bit of our hard earned cash. Sounds like a good morning, right? Maybe not the wasting money part, but definitely the good food!

First visit to this restaurant at the Hard Rock. My friends were hungry so we went here after having some drinks at the L Bar for a late night snack. The menu looks very inviting with such a large selection and the prices are reasonable. The service was very good reason for the five stars. The food was just average.

3 stars because when I come here on the weekend or day time it's really good and service is always reliable. Decently priced menu. But I went last night (Monday 3am) and the service was so bad that my brother fell asleep waiting for the food or even a glass of water. My mom ordered a soup of the day but after 30 mins, I would hope it's freshly made. Also, the late night menu is so tiny. $10 chicken tenders sans fries. The wings were good though. Wouldn't ever go back late night, I would go back during the day though.

Went to the Blue Plate along with a large group of people. Me and a friend were the only people of color in the whole group. After watching the bartender serve everyone in our group but us we thought it strange. After about 20min or so 2 of the gentlemen that was in our group came over to the bar and imagine our shock when the bartender went right to them to take their orders. The men then proceeded to order drinks for us. Once this was done I finally got the bartenders attention and asked if our business was not wanted we could go elsewhere. He proceeds to start shouting at me then walks away, another gentleman comes over who after what he said I assumed was the manager and starts shouting at us also that "he will throw us out if we do not stop harassing his bartender". I responded we are were not shouting or using profanity it was him and his staff that was embarrassing us. Once he threatened to have us thrown out I told him to do so and once he did that not only am I lawyer that I will file a racial discrimination suit against the restaurant but will also press charges against the bartender that spoke to me in such a way that I felt threatened. This was my second time at this restaurant and they do not have to worry it will be my last. The first time I went there the food was so bad I sent it back , but that was about 3 or so years ago. Well here it is years later and not only did I get bad food years ago now it's BAD service TOO. Trust me if you're looking for good food and great customer service DO NO go to BLUE PLATE.

I liked the place. They had a smoking section and a non smoking section, which was cool even though I don't smoke. The only problem was the location, if you don't know where it's at, prepare to get lost! I had the fruit cups, with a glass of pinot grigio. The waitress was very friendly.

If you find yourself still at the Seminole Hard Rock late at night, or early in the morning, this is the place to go get your eat on. I prefer this much more than the bland pizza at the food court. My trip there came around breakfast time on a Sunday morning, still out from the night before. They were not very busy, so we were seated immediately and they quickly took our order. No need to rave about the service when the place was almost empty, though. What about the food? I had the Blue Plate Three Egg Omelet ($9) with a choice of 3 toppings. I chose ham, onions and cheddar. It was huge and delicious. Also, to my surprise it came with a large helping of chopped up home fries (the breakfast kind), which I was not expecting. The omelet also came with toast. I think my friend had the same thing (omelet) with similar ingredients and also enjoyed it. I was completely stuffed after and I will definitely return to the Blue Plate the next time I have a really, really late night at the Hard Rock.

The Blue Plate is a great place to find decent food and great service here at the Hard Rock hotel and casino. I came to the Blue Plate to catch dinner during a poker tournament break. The food is very good and I'm always impressed with the service here. Servers are always friendly and polite and go the extra mile to make sure that you're happy. The food is pretty standard diner fare but a little better than most diners. The food is a little expensive but you can use your comp dollars (HRC Rewards program) here which helps keep costs down. They also give you 20% off if you pay with comp dollars which makes the food here quite reasonable. They have a lot of choices and healthy options on the menu to choose from so you don't have to eat poorly. Overall the Blue Plate is a great place to grab a bite to eat when you're at the Hard Rock. Good food, excellent service and fair prices make it a nice place to hang out and take a break. 4 Stars.

I've been frequenting this restaurant for a few years and not once have they disappoint me. I always end up with a sandwich with fresh hot fries. I know the most popular item is the chicken and waffles but me personally, I don't think fried chicken goes well with any breakfast food. However, the waffle itself is very delicious and filling. It's open 24/7 which great for all the last night partiers. I would recommend this restaurant for any looking for different styles of food. The waiters are so nice and sweet but sometimes they're a little slow but who can blame them when they have to take their break at the beginning of their shift and then work non stop after (I knew somebody who worked there).

I think that the "up scale diner" image is BS. It's a fancy way of saying this diner is in the Hard Rock, so it's expensive. The food isn't too bad. The soups are decent, as well as the sandwiches, and burgers. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here if you have more options. You can spend you money more wiser on just as good food. If it's 4:00 am, you're starving, and you don't have a way to get to a steak and shake.Eat here. It's 24hrs. The service isn't too bad. The decor is nice too,But when your hungover from the night before, you don't really care. I would suggest an alternative, if you have money and no alternative, you won't be unhappy.

As soon as we sat down at Blue Plate as the only patrons there for lunch - we were visited by a server. To begin our ordering process I asked for the pancakes which come with "Whipped butter, maple syrup, blueberries chocolate chips, and bananas." However she proceeded to tell me that it was a typo and that it costs a $1.50 to add each when it clearly said that it only cost 1.50 to add walnuts. So I asked if maple syrup and butter also costs 1.50 and she said no. Then I asked if the bananas choco chips and blueberries are one unit together as a 1.50 and she said no. Then I asked if I get one of those items does it come in the pancake or ontop of the pancake and she began to get flustered. I settled with chocolate chips that "come in and on the pancake." When a member of our party recieved his 2+2+2+2 without Bacon or Ham it still had the bacon on it and we had to insist on them making this dish over again. They were very nice about it and gave us a free plate of fruit to make up for it. Also, the waitress apologized several times and so did the manager - almost over apologizing. The pancakes all around were dry and tasteless. Hard to mess up pancakes so I don't know what happened there. When the bill came they charged an extra fifty cents for EACH EGG IN EACH EGG DISH. So we were paying 50 cent fees all over the place on top of the 1.50 for the chocolate chips in our pancakes. Besides, we didn't even take the meat that came with our meals which is by far the most expensive part. It started to get rediculous. Fortunately, we realized afterwards that they never charged us for tea (unless it was free which is highly doubtful). Will never go here again but I can see why people go there. It's just a matter of being stuck by the casino and hungry. -4 stars for the lacking food and over charges +1 star for the courtesy of the employees 2 stars.

I ordered the New York Strip steak. I would say this was a good steak. Not the best I have ever had but not bad. I do feel that the mashed potatoes and the bread on the side stole the show though. I seemed to enjoy these surprises more than I did the steak. I ordered the chocolate cake after and was definitely underwhelmed. Not worth ruining the rest of the meal. I would say if you are at the casino and want a decent steak then try this place. Though not a five star steak not bad considering where you are getting it.

We have probably eaten here a dozen times or so. The food has always been tasty and we always received good service. We've had dinner, lunch and breakfast. It's an American fare diner type menu. Portions are nice sized, quality and freshness very satisfactory, prices are reasonable, and it's bright with tables spaced nicely apart. It gets at least half a star for being open 24 hours a day.

Blue Plate is just your average casino quick-stop restaurant for all types of food that you're feeling. It's great for breakfast (2 eggs any style with potatoes and bacon or sausage for ~$9) and is not too overpriced. Service isn't bad either!

Blue Plate is one of the few all-night dining options at the Seminole Hard Rock. As luck would have it, after about 6 hours of blackjack play (and ultimate losses), my friend wound up with $20 in comp credit to this place. It was 4:00 in the morning. We weren't hungry, we were angry. The casino had just taken us for all we were worth (and then some). But we made our way over to Blue Plate to enjoy our $20 credit. The place was dead. There were some post-club partiers passing out on the tables. There were the early birds already up arguing with the staff about how they wanted their "huevos" cooked. But still, not a single server approached us (there were about 5 milling about). Even after I waved my hands in the air like a school kid, nada. When we finally got some service, we were quick to order - BLT, cheese fries, matzo ball soup. Nothing too out there. Just your average 4 a.m. meal of champions. Everything tasted pretty good, but that could've been the spite talking. Our bill ultimately came out to about $21.50. We got the comp without a problem, and then our server, gave us a discount - our left-over $1.50 down to $0.27. Very nice, but having to charge 27 cents because we were literally penniless is just ridiculous. So we left the guy a big tip. It was Christmas, after all.

I'd have to say that the Blue Plate is a great spot if you're looking for a quick breakfast. My husband and I each had eggs, turkey sausage, hash browns and toast. Our meals were cooked perfectly, and the server was attentive but not very friendly. We have experienced this attitude before, and it is too bad they can't provide friendly service like the rest of the hotel. Things to fix in my opinion? The area needs redecorating and service could be friendlier.

Considering it was almost 3 am at the Hard Rock not a bad dining choice. The menu was pretty typical for that of a diner: your sandwiches, breakfasts and etc. Took a bit long to get our food, a party of 8 took nearly an hour to serve simple breakfast and late night food. Some people didn't get their drinks until like 20 mins after putting in the order, some of us didn't get the bread we ordered along with our meals. Didn't get my raspberry iced tea until a long wait. The server was nice, just not fast :( The food itself wasn't bad. The prices were actully pretty good: considering we were at the Hard Rock. My chicken salad sandwich and drink were only $11 and there was enough to enjoy as brunch the next morning/afternoon. Quite a few ppl in our party had the begium waffle with fresh strawberries which looked really good and was only $9. Overall, its okay if you're in the area (Hard Rock) and want something small and fairly inexpensive to eat at 3 am. Oh and 18% gratuity on parties of 8 and more!

Located in the Seminole Hard Hotel and Casino, Blue Plate is one of the more simple restaurants this venue had to offer - primarily burgers, salad, sandwiches, and breakfast any time. My girlfriends and I stopped in here to grab a quick bite for dinner before hitting the tables, and decided to go with some good 'ole breakfast. I decided to try the chicken and waffles and thought it was just okay. Maybe I have yet to really understand what the phenomenon of that combination is, but in my mind, it is what it says it is - fried chicken, and a waffle. They tasted fine separately, but the combo isn't some heavenly concoction I imagined it should be after hearing so many amazing things about it! But I guess that's what you get when you're trying new things. All my girlfriends opted for 2 eggs served any way you'd like with sausage and a side of potatoes, and they were all content. Sometimes you just need some simple in your life!

I went to the blue plate with my brother and a friend at 3 am after a night out at the hard rock and I must say, if I could rate it a negative number I would. I've never had an experience like the one I had there. We sat and waited 10 minutes for our server to take our drink order. At first we didn't mind because we were still winding down from the night of fun. After we decided what we wanted to eat we found ourselves looking for the server again. The place was empty, so we began to wonder why the server was never around. We finally ordered: my brother and I each ordered a cheeseburger and our friend wasn't hungry so he ordered nothing. We were caught up in conversation and called the server over for a drink refill when we realized it had been over 45 minutes since we ordered our burgers. How long does it take to cook 2 cheeseburgers in an empty restaurant? We asked the server and he went to go check on it. He said its coming out soon. We gave it another 10 minutes before we decided to go to the front counter and pay our drinks and leave. This is where things went from bad to the ninth level of hell. The manager came out and told us we had to pay for the burgers. In shock, my brother and I asked why we had to pay for something that we didn't eat and still up until that moment wasn't even ready. The manager proceeded to tell us that either we pay for the burgers or he's calling the cops. Again we told him we were willing to pay for what we consumed but there was no way we were going to pay for food that we never got. The manager called the cops and about 20 security guards who surrounded us and tried to intimidate us into paying. When the cops saw we wouldn't budge they told the manager he couldn't force us to pay for food we didn't get so we paid for our sodas and security escorted us out of the hard rock telling us we were not allowed in the hard rock grounds ever again. This was the worst experience of my life, and we were not yelling, aggressive, nor vulgar. We were very polite and had a legitimate complaint. The way we were acting did not warrant a full blown security guard reunion from the entire Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. If you want food and are the type that doesn't stay quiet about bad service, stay as far away from this place as possible. If you like to be intimidated by 20 security guards and police and like to be bullied because of a legitimate complaint, this is your place to dine... But only once.

I started going here for the New Jersey breakfast sandwich and returned multiple times for it. If you've never had taylor ham you have to go here and try it. They have it at a Greek diner in Fort Lauderdale but Blue Plate's is way better. I can say I've only had exceptional service once and that's why I can't give it a 5 star. Four stars for the food and price! It's super cheap and delicious. Last time I was here I had the biscuits and gravy and I loved every bite. I go to the Hard Rock JUST to eat here.

(3)Leanna J.

Great place and awesome waitresses !!

yea it's empty and the servers aren't that great but the food is GOOD, especially the Breakfast Crossaint Sandwich! i got it with ham, eggs, cheese, home fries and OJ, i will be back for it!

I loved my hamburger. Was in town for a bit before heading to airport. The chicken wings were also really good.

(1)Sahel T.
I liked the place. They had a smoking section and a non smoking section, which was cool even though I don't smoke. The only problem was the location, if you don't know where it's at, prepare to get lost! I had the fruit cups, with a glass of pinot grigio. The waitress was very friendly.
(4)Richard D.
Had oatmeal. Not bad not great. Service was good and punctual. Went again today and the food was good however the waitress was awful. She must have been having a bad day but did'nt need to take it out on her customers.

If you have an hour to kill for sandwich, they are pretty good. I'm surprised the service is so slow considering most of their clientèle have limited time left on this earth.

(4)Michael S.

Great selections for breakfast lunch and dinner foods. The service was all smiles and friendly even during a crazy Sunday brunch.

The service is great and our server, Amy, was very friendly and very helpful. For sure I'll come back again~!

I just want to say Blue Plate has THE BEST phillycheese in south Florida. The service is perfect and fast! Honestly I have tried everything on the menu and everything is very good! After playing some slots, a great meal at blue plate is all you'll need!
(5)Michael K.
(4)Lisa N.

(3)Rachel M.

Good diner , with real american food . They have best in the city pancakes . Steak is good as well , but i am trying to become vegetarian , it doesn't work ))
