Another great meal at FFC. I had the Crab Cake appetizer and my wife had the one pound peel and eat shrimp special. The crab cakes were delicious and the three sauces were great with the crab cakes. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. We will be back.

Yesterday was our second time eating at Flagler Fish Company and it was just as incredible as the first time. This time my huband and I had their soft tacos. One grouper, shrimp, beef and portabella. They were all amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant. We just wish it were closer to home (we live in Lakeland).

Great food but don't even think about going if you're hungry and they are busy because you'll be waiting anywhere between 35-40 min for your entree. Maybe they were really busy and shortstaffed but it was the day after the Christmas holiday and you would expect it to be busy. When my entree finally came out, I was impressed.

I think people like this place b/c they think they are supposed to. I have been here twice. The first time the service was so awful and the food was so expensive, it just seemed silly to go back. But recently I was celebrating something and wanted to splurge for a friend so we went back. The service was much better, but the food was so expensive and not special that I don't think I'll return. If you do go, just get the shrimp grits. It's really the only thing on the menu worth anything (and still pushing it at $18 a serving). My meal was $24 and very unimaginative and borderline bland. Also, know that almost everything is a la carte, so if you're paying $18 for shrimp grits, be prepared to spend $8-10 for a side salad or soup or something. Overall, not worth the hype or the damage to your wallet.

The Flagler FIsh Company is a restaurant and fish market. We went there to buy some fish to take home and put on the grill. The place is very casual and not very big. There is also outdoor seating, which look out onto the park, where the Farmer's Market is held on Fridays and Saturdays. Anyway, we purchased grouper and wahoo steaks from the market. As we waited for our fish, I looked around at what some of the customers were eating and the fish dip with homemade chips did look good. We also purchased one of their peanut butter fudge brownies, which was decadent. As we stood there, you can see the folks making the food, which is very open. I do remember that they serve wine. The folks who worked there were very pleasant, helpful, and friendly. We took our fish home, cooked it up and it was super-fantastic.

If you are visiting Flagler, eat here. period. It IS the BEST food in Flagler, without a doubt. I only hate the owners left Atlanta! We went for dinner and had the crab cakes as an app, and they were full of crab. The sauce paired nicely, and I was sad when they were gone. I had salmon, grilled, with the soy-ginger sauce, asiago red potatoes, and the asparagus/portobello salad. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Hubs had the cod special, and it was equally delicious. We liked it so much, we went back the next day. For lunch, we split a crab burger and a shrimp po-boy. Hit the spot. I tried to force a 3rd visit before we left, but they were closed that Sunday. We ended up wasting our time and money at a dive down the street on the beach on some truly sub-par "food." Stick to Flagler Fish and you won't be disappointed.

an amazing eatery in a very small town. flagler fish co. is the best fish/shellfish joint in northern florida. no exceptions. close your eyes and point at the menu, you will NOT be disappointed. i love the ipswich steamers (broth flavored with cloves and allspice) and the side of asiago red potato--simply fabulous. in addition, the fried foods are done to perfection--your fish will arrive piping hot and mouthwateringly moist, but in no way heavy. they know how to fry a fish here, people. even the coleslaw is off the hook--red onion, fresh parsley, red cabbage--the inclusion of red onion gives it that extra kick to send it over the top. servers are fast and friendly and the kitchen is top notch. absolutely one of the best places i've eaten in, NYC to LA to quiet little florida. just superb. dinner for two without drinks will set you back about $60 if you get an appetizer, it is MORE than worth it. go, go now, and go frequently.

Flagler Fish Company is located right in the middle of Flagler Beach about 100 yards from the beach. They function as a fresh seafood market as well as a restaurant. FFC is pretty laid back and relatively small. They offer homemade chips and fish dip that is great, really worth a try. The food here is great. If you like fresh fish and some new takes on old favorites this is a great place to go. Try the stuffed shrimp for a truly great dinner. Their soups are great too. The one negative is the high price of the food. It seems a little expensive for what you get, but it is great none the less.

Excellent food had the fish tacos tried three different kinds grouper, snapper, and mahi. Excellent flavor cooked perfect. Wife had the grits and shrimp it was super rich had good flavors was glad I got tacos. Mother in law got fried platter had clams, oysters, shrimp, and fish was very good. The crab cakes were the best I have had. Some of best fish I have ever had excellent worth trying probably best fish in area.

What a grand place to eat. We have been here at Beverley Beach for 2 weeks and We saved this place for last as we knew the food would be fabulous. We have never had a bad meal here. Cozy and the employees make u feel right at home. Get there early at night as the parking spaces fill up. We will be back next year for some more good food!!!!

My favorite place for seafood in the area so far!! Their house salad dressings amazing. The fish I fresh. I can eat with my son there for $10 if I try hard and order the fish taco yumm! They do have pricier gourmet entrees that sound great. I hope to try them all one day. Staff is friendly and attentive. I love this place!

It doesn't get much fresher than this. The tables are arranged alongside the display cases full of the day's catch, and there was no hint of the fishy smell that you might expect. I ordered blackened wahoo (never heard of it before) with chipotle sauce, fresh asparagus and new potatoes stuffed with asiago cheese. Outstanding! Spouse had pan seared grouper with a butter lemon sauce. Also outstanding! I had gazpacho for an appetizer (good but not great) and she had a shrimp cocktail with huge fresh, sweet prawns. A bit pricey at 80 bucks without alcohol, but these folks know what they're doing.

Excellent fresh fish, prepared just the way you want it. I had the sea bass, my daughter had a fried fish sandwich, my son had a shrimp po boy, and my wife had salmon. All of them were cooked to perfection. No overcooked or tough fish -- all were tender regardless of how they were prepared. Even my son, who is not a fish eater really liked his. The asiago cheese potato dumplings on the side were superb, and the home made chips with fish-dip are not no be missed! The atmosphere is casual, and the place is kid-friendly. They also serve steak, but we didn't have a chance to try it. It was a little pricey, but I thought the quality of the food made it worth it.

Love this great little place. Thanks to yelp we made the short 14 mile ride out of Ormand Beach, where we were vacationing from NY to this cute little place. Huge menu with a goods kids menu. very very fresh fish cooked every way you could want. We came for lunch so we all ended up with different fish sandwiches and fish burgers Beyond Yummy!.

We vacation in the Palm Coast/Flagler area a couple of times a year and Flagler Fish is one of the few restaurants we visit every time we are in the area. The reason I like Flagler Fish so much is that they don't serve the typical Florida seafood. The typical Florida seafood restaurant lets the customer pick either fried fish, shrimp or scallops and then serves this with fries. Flagler Fish on the other hand has 15+ fresh fish items available daily, and on display in their coolers inside of the restaurant. If you want a Lobster roll, you go and pick out your lobster and they cook it for you on the spot. You can pick their fresh fish and have it prepared any number of ways, served as is with a variety of side or made into a sandwich. They have great non fish items like cuban sandwiches and many other items. They also serve great homemade potato chips with a crab dip (or smoked fish dip if you ask) to start. We love this place. The only knock is that it is quite small, so it can get busy and packed inside.

I love places like this. Seafood is fresh (waiter said it was delivered twice daily) and they care about how it's prepared. The atmosphere is hole in the wall, but clean. And they have a good selection of craft beer and wine. We had a variety of fresh fish and wild caught shrimp. Everything came out fresh (although it did take some time) and the waiter was very good with suggestions on preparations and sauces. This is a definite must try if you're into fresh seafood. This may be our go-to place for seafood from now on...even if we have to drive over an hour.

After leaving the Daytona 200, we decided to take a road trip up the coastline and as we arrived in Flagler Beach, we chose Flagler Fish Company based on a review from my Yelp friend Dave O! Dave was on the money, this place delivered fresh seafood and terrific service. As you walk up to the restaurant, it doesn't look like much but I've learned not to judge a book by it's cover. I would describe this place as homey, informal and fetching. They are serving seafood that rival most high end restaurants but without the premium price. We decided to sit outside because it was a beautiful afternoon and there was a nice ocean breeze present. We were greeted and our server brought out some homemade chips that were irresistible. We reviewed their menu and this restaurant has a very large selection of fresh fish. Inside the restaurant, they have their fish selection on display as well as a large tank filled with lobsters. My wife decided to go with the King Crab Legs and I chose the 2LB Lobster. When you order the lobster, they ask you whether you want one over or under 1.5 lbs, my answer will always be over! I usually don't eat salad but this Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. My 5 year old son is a very picky eater and he devoured a adult size bowl of salad which means it had to have been good! Our entrees arrived and I'll get right to the point, you get what you pay for. My lobster was steamed to perfection and my wife had no complaints about the freshness of the crab. We couldn't skip dessert because that would just be unholy for me so we chose the Creme Brulee. Looking back now, I should have ordered the Fried Twinkie as well but now I have something to look forward to for next time! The Creme Brulee was served perfectly and the custard was rich and flavorful. Some of the other options for dessert included a Chocolate Rum Cake, Banana Bread French Toast (which sounds really enticing!) and Caylee's Jumbo Peanut Butter Brownie. Service was top notch. When we arrived, most of the tables outside had guests and there was only one waitress but she handled all the tables in a timely fashion and the key for me was, she did it with a great attitude and a constant smile. Towards the end of our meal, more servers arrived and that took some of the stress of her but she did a fantastic job. I wish I could find my receipt to give her credit by name but I can't find it. I overheard some of the other servers at other tables and they definitely knew how to sell the menu and give recommendations based on people's likes. Flagler Fish Company is located in Flagler Beach at the corner of S. Daytona & S. 2nd Street and it's within walking distance of A1A and the beach. If you're in the area...in the mood for fresh seafood, give this place a try, it's a hidden treasure!

I was going to go here last night but my young polish wife got wasted. We can't go tonight because it's closed. HOWEVER... I've been here plenty of times. I love this place. It's one of the places that redeems this terribly boring town. The quality of the food is excellent. The place doubles as a fish monger, so you know you're getting fresh product. The menu rawks... It's a little pricey, but in reality it's way underpriced for what you're getting. The service can be a little slow, but you know, who cares? Eating is about hanging with yo peeps, drinking some cold ones, and living a life. Not stuffing your maw with calories. Go to Home Town Buffet for that.

Came here with the family while on vacation. This is a small restaurant with about seating for 40 or so people. When you walk in they have a open kitchen to the left along with a seafood display of fresh fish and everything you can imagine seafood related. Our server greeted us with baskets full of home fried potato chips with a strange tasting but good tasting fish dip. We ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. When they arrived they were caked in batter made from potatoes. They came laying on top of a orange sauce that tasted great. I ordered the fried grouper sandwich. The sandwich was delicious. It was fried in batter using the potatoes just like the tomatoes. It came with fresh coke slaw. All in all a gear meal and would like to go back and try some other things when I get a chance.

If you like fresh seafoood this is the place for you! We started with a pound of local boiled shrimp. It was served warm and you had melted butter and cocktail sauce The shrimp couldn't have been more fresh and had a great taste. For Dinner we picked fresh fish. You can choose anything in the case and get 2 sides. We went with Fresh Grouper. We both had it grilled, I went with lemon, caper butter and my wife had asian suace. The fish had a great char, and was fresh and tasty. They have a good beer selction as well as wine. The prices aren't dirt cheap, but for fresh seafood Flagler Fish company can't be beat.

This is what all Florida Beachside Restaurants should strive to be. It's real simple use "fresh local seafood prepared fresh from an ice cold display case that is stocked fresh daily". I hate to admit it but these types of places are far and few between along the East Coast of Florida to many times we are served up frozen or imported seafood that is tasteless and who really know what is being served. This place proudly displays all their offerings and you choose what you want and how you want it. This was my first visit here but definitely won't be my last. Attention all tourist visiting our state this is where you want to go this is a true representation of what Florida restaurants are capable of, don't settle for the Swai or Basi imported from Vietnam or the "white fish" raised on pellets from some farm that so many places serve up there is a differences. Flagler Fish Company your food is great, your service is exceptional and I love that you truly understand what outstanding fresh seafood is and you're still able to offer all of this at reasonable prices.

I love seafood, but most places I've tried are too predictable and have no options besides grilled/fried/blackened. FFC is a down to earth restaurant in Flagler Beach, with a very beachy feel and tons of fresh seafood. Their menu has different options and their portions are quite generous. Definitely one of my favorite seafood places around.

While traveling up to St Augustine on a trip we stopped by this restaurant based off of the great reviews and we were happy with the decision. We started with the lobster bisque which was flavorful and the bowl we shared was quite large. We then had the crab cakes as well as a blackened grouper sandwich with cheese grits. The crab cakes were honestly only okay but the fish on the sandwich was delicious. The cheese grits also had an unexpected kick which made them better than I was expecting.

I had high expectations for this restaurant after seeing it's rating of 4 1/2 stars. However, the wait was horrible, almost 2 hours. This may be because it was a weekend on a Saturday night. Also, once we were seated and had placed our orders it took another hour to receive them. The food was fresh and flavorful but the portion size was not worth the price. Take away the wait and small portion sizes and I would give this restaurant five stars. Maybe lunch would be better.

High end restaurant quality in a casual dining environment, with reasonable prices. Yet another suggestion from my brother, who tried this place on a whim some time back with his wife. I had no expectations coming in tonight other than "Well, this should at least be pretty good." They know me, and what I like. We have somewhat overlapping tastes. When we pulled up ~7:30, the patio was full. The dining room inside was relatively empty, so we easily got a seat. They immediately brought a basket of golden (what I am assuming are russet) chips, sliced and fried in the restaurant. The chips were still warm. Inside, there was a dip of unknown origin. I've seen that mentioned in maybe one review here. What they haven't mentioned is how good the dip is. It's a smoked fish mixture with cream cheese, basil, and probably a couple of other ingredients they won't disclose. This is the best thing since chips and salsa. Excellent. I did have to save some room, however, as we had yet to order mains. Our server arrived at this point. Knowledgeable and attentive. Our glasses were always full, and nothing lagged. Every special she recited sounded outstanding. I ordered scallops, blackened. I could have ordered it three other ways, which I could not recall...because my heart was set on blackened. Then there were sauces. I saw horseradish, and locked it down. There was also a sweet thai chili, which almost took the crown. For sides, I grabbed the potato salad and coleslaw, like any self-respecting American. My brother got a Tuna Sandwich. It turns out, it is not just any tuna sandwich, but sushi-grade tuna, on an excellent bun with wasabi mayo and seaweed. Given the fact that it is sushi grade, you can order it rare! To my dismay, my brother went medium-rare. He ordered the asiago potatoes as his side. It took 15-20 minutes from the time we placed our order for it to arrive. In the meantime, we had excellent service, and checked out the interior. It's deceptively rustic looking. It's designed to look rustic and worn. But it's also very, very clean. There's also an excellent bottled wine selection, and a very nicely curated craft beer collection. Not a very large list, but expertly selected. The food made it to the table, and I was extremely pleased from the first bite. The scallops were blackened, firm, and tender, without being milky. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Potato salad tasted like home, which isn't an insult to my Mom's potato salad (especially not on Mother's Day weekend). The sleeper hit on my plate was the coleslaw, which had something in it that made it much, much better than average. The real winner here is my brother. First up, his asiago potatoes. Some say they are too rich. He dropped 1/4 of his potato on my plate. It's a flavor bomb. The kind of side people talk about all night. The kind of thing your wife craves in the middle of the night, and sends you out to get before the restaurant closes. His sandwich was overcooked, I thought. I didn't taste it at the restaurant, but it looked a little pale gray for medium-rare tuna. You know what they say about people that "assume". It never occurred that the tuna on the bun was not ahi tuna, but white or yellow tuna. It wasn't going to be red. Turns out, it was a perfect med-rare, and it was delicious, with enough fish to make sushi rolls for a party of four. Wasabi mayo was spot on, with just enough spice to make it interesting. And the roll was fantastic. $12. That's all he payed: $12. They have excellent value here, and you can go from $8 all the way to $35 or more, depending on the dish. A great range of food and prices. The menu here is huge. The specials are just that. Oh, and did I mention they serve USDA prime beef? What a place! I can't wait to go back. We'll be making the hour plus drive from Orlando to Flagler Beach for fish the next time I visit, as well. Evidently, plenty of people feel that way, as they were filling up the restaurant again at 8:30 on a Friday night. Pulling seats from everywhere and every table that had a spare. With food like this, you shouldn't be surprised.

I've never had a better seafood meal than I had here at Flagler Fish Market. Found it on Yelp as we were passing through town on A1A and I am so glad we stopped. Blink and you might miss it. Fresh fish literally straight out of the sea. The Asiago potatoes are ridiculously good. I had the sautéed grouper in white wine and tomatoes. Absolutely the best seafood meal I've ever had. Friendly staff, knowledgable and gave great recommendations.

We had our first visit to Flagler Fish Company but not our last. We had a party of four adults and three children. Our dinner began with grilled shrimp seasoned to perfection. Each of the adults ordered a different entree which allowed us to try four different dishes. Not a one was disappointing. Our server was very thorough in describing each dinner special for the evening. Most likely one of the better places to dine on fresh seafood on the Florida Atlantic coast. Arrive early or expect to wait for a table.

Great for locally caught seafood - also some out of town fish when necessary - think Norwegian Salmon or Pacific Tuna. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes - sometimes much much longer in this first come first served restaurant. No call ahead seating either. Fresh seafood is the focus with a glass cabinet up front showing the local catch. Smoked mullet dip with home made potato chips is a must - they treat you to some when you sit. Nice bottled craft beer selection, probably 15 micros plus the major brands. Nice house wines as well. I recommend listening to the daily chef specials, I'd guess 50% order them. Nice local place, local vibe. 1 block from the beach. Dress down, Tshirts and flip flops are common. Ate dinner for 4 with an appetizer and 3 alcohol drinks for $100.

So, we did go back but at 4:00 for a late lunch. The fish sandwich was delicious! Caramelized onions and a delicious sauce on a perfectly cooked piece of salmon. The servers were friendly and accommodating. My husband found three good size bones in the salmon. We brought it to our servers attention, who told the manager. He brought us a free dessert with his apology. We will continue to dine at the FCC during off hours. Fresh good food.

Visited twice in the same week. Noisy and crowded. If you like a more quiet atmosphere, then I suggest you sit out side under the awning. We had the grilled salmon, shrimp burger, and the blackened shrimp. Salmon was juicy and cooked perfect. It was a nice piece of salmon too. The shrimp were HOT, but that's supposed to be hot. My family and I have eaten here for years. It is amazing if u like fresh seafood! We have now been every year twice a year since 2012. We always have the same waiter (Tyler) and everything we eat is amazing. We usually order the fish dip, lobster bisque, and peanut butter brownie. Which are all delicious. We usually mix up our entrees and taste everything. Tonight we had shrimp sandwiches and shrimp and grits. The food is fresh and never disappoints. The wait is always long so go early but it is well worth it. They have a glass counter where you can see all the fresh seafood that they have. The specials are usually the way to go but really anything you order will be great. It is pretty casual but a lot of locals eat here as well. Tonight we say by two local couples who drank wine and talked about how they eat here weekly. We can never leave the beach unless we have eaten here at Flagler.

The first come first seated is not what happens- the system is if you know the host, you get seated first. The host should have laid off the second bowl because he was ridiculously slow and rude. I got a seared flounder with green beans and asiago potatoes. It was awesome! I would definitely get it again! Best fish I ever had! Definitely will be going again. Came on a busy Saturday night and that could have been why service was so slow. The complimentary chips and clam dip were incredibly tasty. I had the fish Po Boy with asiago potatoes. The fish was under seasoned but the potatoes were cheesy goodness with big flavor. I wouldn't recommend the sandwich but the other people in my party enjoyed their meals. Definitely a unique local joint but large parties and busy weekends make for a long dining experience.

This is an amazing place! It is a great place to go to after a day at the beach or just for an evening out. The dips are fantastic and are a great starter. Their main entrees are all good. Wow! I love this place. It's casual and even tacky inside, but the fish is fresh and expertly prepared. I love the selection of sides and the service was so friendly. The tables are metal and close together, but you can tell that locals come here. The chips and fish dip that immediately come to your table are addicting. I had the sautéed onions and mushrooms with my fish. It was served with chunks of blue cheese! Red snapper was delicious lightly blackened. My husband had seared tuna. Perfection! I wish I was a local so I could come here all the time.

I really enjoy this little restaurant. My favorite is the Caroline's catch sandwich - it is really a treat and is always superb. I tried the a tuna burger and didn't like it at all- the tuna was ground into a patty and had little flavor and an odd consistency. It didn't help that it wasn't hot when it was served. Every other dish I've tried (including scallops, shrimp etc.) were all very good. I go here for lunch because the dinner entrees are a bit expensive for our family. However, for fresh seafood, I think this is the best place in town.

I'd give this place a 5 if my sandwich had enough fish. The atmosphere was charming, the prices were extremely reasonable and the menu had some great variety! What other small places offer sauteed mushrooms and onions or asparagus as a side instead of just french fries? I ordered the A1A Fish Sandwich which is something like a fajita fish sandwich...and totally awesome!! It's a mix of fish chunks from mahi to cod to salmon, topped with their spicy sauce and lots of veggies. David had the Shrimp Po boy and couldn't eat it fast enough. He loved that it had a good amount of big shrimp and the sauce had just a little spicy kick.

Not really sure what the big deal is about this place. They do have fresh fish which I like to pick up and prepare at home. As far as eating there goes- you select your fish and preparation (sautéed, broiled, fried, etc). Then select your sauce. We asked the waiter for advice as we wanted to make good selections, but he had nothing to offer. I will say their blackening spice is great- the blackened mahi mahi was DELISH. But the sauces are watered down and taste like nothing. My husband's sautéed fish was not seasoned at all and the combination with watered down sauces meant a really boring meal. I'd probably go to eat again, but wouldn't go out of my way.

The only complaint my Mom had was, that there was way too much breading on her fish sandwich, and they charged extra for the fish that you pick. It's a bit pricey too. We had to find someplace for crab cakes since my daughter loves them. FFC did not miss the mark. It's not a fancy restaurant but the prices are reasonable ($20ish per plate) and the food and service were excellent. We started with the shrimp cocktail. They were probably some of the largest shrimp that I ever had. My daughter ordered the crab cakes. They had very good flavor. My wife had the blackened Chilean sea bass with curry sauce. The fish was flaking and melting in her mouth. The mushrooms were great. I had sautéed sea scallops. Very flavorful in a nice sauce. The astiago potatoes melted in your mouth. How can you go wrong with cheese? We're definitely coming back!

I have gone there twice now. The 1st time we went the wait was about 45minutes. So I assumed the food would be great. The peel and eat shrimp were excellent. I ordered a lobster roll and after waiting 15 minutes or so the waiter tells me they dont have it and I have to pick something else. :( I then went back with my daughter for the second time and ordered the same meal and again was told no lobster for a lobster roll. They claimed this time was do to the winter storms. Really? Maybe the waiter should of known this in advance so I would not of had to wait so long and then to be told I have to order something else. Do to this poor customer service I will not be going back and will not recommend them.

FFC is the real deal. The wait staff knows their stuff. I had a locally caught snapper (cooked and served whole). Although I wanted the fish grilled, I was told a whole fish could only be fried and I'm no fan of the frier but the end result was awesome. Crispy and light and no sign of oil. Local fish cooked right, a little seaweed salad and a glass of sauvignon blanc and that's my idea of the perfect meal. Loved it. Four stars because five should be reserved for Noma... I guess. Closed on Sundays.

We've been here twice during our week stay and everything we've all tried has been delicious! The calamari is perfectly battered, the crab cakes were out of this world, the butter noodles are a wonderful, and the asiago potatoes can't be matched. But what stands out more than anything is the clam dip! My fiancé doesn't even like clams or most cream/milk based dips and he is head over heels for this stuff! Served cold with homemade chips....mmm mmm mmm! As a Bariatric patient I've tried the shrimp popper kids meal, again, perfectly battered and not swimming in grease. The fish sandwich (tilapia was the daily catch) was perfectly cooked with an amazing flake. My fiancé got blackened tilapia and steamed asparagus....out of this world! I definitely recommend stopping here! Their fish market has an amazing selection as well. Huge sea scallops and when they say jumbo shrimp they might as well say lobster sized. MASSIVE! One of my favorite places to eat in Flagler!

I have been to this restaurant many times. I try to visit every time I come in this area. Not always easy to get in. This is the best seafood restaurant without a doubt in town and would probably be the best in many cities. It is a tiny place that gives you a crowded feel but if you can overlook that the food makes up for it. Fresh fresh seafood on display for your choosing. It can be cooked virtually anyway you want. On top of it they have wonderful specials. Tonight I had sea scallops over fettuccine with a cream sauce. The presentation was beautiful. Scallops were fabulous. Our service was very good. Tyler took care of us and made it an even more delightful evening. Lovely little place. Tonight it deserved five stars!

Having heard only great things about this place, my friend and I had to try it for dinner while at Flagler Beach today. The wait was a lengthy 45 minutes but seemed well worth it. The interior is small, though there is some (though limited) outdoor seating, too. The atmosphere is casual and even a bit retro and the fish counter itself is right in the center of the restaurant: you feel someone owned a fish market and one odd day had the notion to turn it into a sit-down restaurant. It all works though: my friend describled it as "adorable" and indeed it is. It's also down to earth and embraces the local culture: there's even a Surfrider Foundation sticker on their ice machine. The host who dealt with the waiting patrons was awesome: he got us a beer order and in general was on the ball despite having both inside and outside guests waiting and a lot to keep tabs on at once. Our waiter was a bit more of a space cadet in that he forgot to bring us silverware or the iced teas we'd ordered and it took several mentions of both to get this fixed. Granted though, it was Saturday and a busy night. While the menu is extensive--nearly daunting--the best bet I've been told is to order a fin fish and have it cooked one of the provided ways with one of their sauces. You can also order various shellfish dishes and pastas. I chose the sea bass, had it steamed, and with their Hong Kong sauce. This comes with two sides and of those I chose the asagio potatoes and the caesar salad. The salad was unremarkable, the potatoes very good but too small a serving and the sea bass itself was superb and perfectly cooked. The Hong Kong sauce however was an overly-salty ponzu sauce that was probably simply a soy sauce with some lime juice. No chilies, no seseme, or other expected Cantonese flavors. Still, great cut of fish, perfectly fresh, very tasty. My friend ordered the shrimp pasta and felt the shrimp was "probably frozen" and I tasted one and it wasn't as fresh-tasting as I'd have hoped for a fish house, no. That said, pasta dishes are seldom good bets at houses of fishes, seriously. Each of our bills came to around $29 pre-tip. For a beer a piece, iced tea, and around an $18 entree that seems high. The fish was great but not a large serving and the potatoes were actually undersized. They do serve a basket of homemade chips with a dip with each meal at least. The presentation of the food in some ways appears as fine-dining but then they did things like serving the fish's sauce in a paper cup . . . it's like they both want to be beach-side informal and at once fine-dining and are not certain of their proper place. I'm giving them four stars for now and I intend to return as soon as I can. I like this place, but I'd advise maybe visiting on a less-busy night and also feel they're a bit overpriced for what they are because I've had as good fish for less in our state. Their fish is first-rate but they have in the men's room a wall of clippings of a deli which was apparently their first restaurant in Atlanta and these clippings--rave reviews of course all--explain how they designed the deli to meet needs where local delis were coming up short. They built a very successful business apparently in Georgia with this. I tend to think as seasoned pros they migrated to Flagler Beach and found a formula for a seafood place and learned to make it stack. It's obviously a local favorite and hitting hard. Well, that's great, but it still needs some work, folks.

So glad I stopped here for lunch! It's always a good sign when you walk into the restaurant and immediately see all the fresh seafood on display. I was just looking for a quick bite, on my way back to Jacksonville from Orlando when this treasure popped up on the radar. I had the white clam chowder. It was nice and chunky with good flavor. I'd give it a 7.5/10. I then had a choice fish taco, north side style. YUMMY. I chose fresh grouper. The taco wasn't the easiest to manage, but that's bc it was packed full of crisp cabbage, a generous portion of avocado, tomato and a delectable chipotle cream sauce. But watch out, it's spicy!! I absolutely loved it. Highly recommend!

Flagler Fish Company could very well be my new favorite restaurant for fish. It's a short two block walk from Flagler beach and the fishing pier. The place has ample indoor and outdoor seating and they offer a wide selection of incredibly fresh fish and shellfish accompanied by great sides. There's wine and beer for the thirsty and FFC's fish sandwiches served on fresh crusty bread are large enough to satisfy even the likes of me! Actually, a sandwich with a side of Caesar salad and a drink makes for a very substantial lunch or dinner for just about anyone. Also try the seared tuna, fresh home made potato chips and their smoked fish or crab dips. Top this off with fast, friendly service and I can see why this is such a popular hangout for both locals, tourists and anyone in the mood for something fishy. Went to Flaglers with my wife and two kids, largely based on Yelp reviews. We weren't disappointed. The place is small, and there's limited indoor seating, so it it took about 35 minutes to get a table on a Friday evening. But I was in the mood for seafood and willing to wait. We started with local caught peel and eat shrimp; very nicely seasoned. My wife said, "I don't like shrimp, but I like these." For the entree I had one of the specials - pepper seared striped bass over sauté of andouille sausage, okra and tomatoes. It had a little kick to it, and the bass was excellently cooked - flaked right apart with my fork. Overall the food was very good, and the pricing reasonable.

Decided to try based on yelp reviews. Had high expectations. Smoked fish dip and chips -complementary - a nice start. Lobster bisque $9 - overpriced and only a few bits of lobster sprinkled on top ... Pass on this. Husband ordered the wahoo w cheese grits and onions/ mushrooms as his two sides. Onion mushroom very good if you like blue cheese - we do. Cheese grits good but not great. Fish sautéed a thick portion. Cooked all the way through but due to thickness if the portion the had to cook it quite awhile. Flavorful from seasonings on the outside crust. Server was helpful and provided several sauces on the side to try. All sauces were cold, do they were pre-made. I get it. The kitchen is super small. On to my food. When I walked in I saw the scallops. They were huge. I ordered them sautéed and asked if they were the large scallops in the case. Server said yes. Knowing they were so big and that I like scallops cooked well- no amount of translucence - I was really specific w the server. He indicated he understood. When the food arrived, I checked the scallops immediately. Totally translucent. Also they were about 1/3 of the size of the ones in the case. Not bay scallops but certainly not the ones in the case. So I ate my sides while they cooked my scallops. So I essentially are my meal in sections. While they were apologetic, they were pretty laid back about it. Manager came over to ask about the meal and acknowledged the issue. But no offer to make up for anything. Mind you, these are $23 dinners. So for a nice seafood dinner, I would not run back to Flagler fish company.

I recommend the Friday morning breakfast right across the street from the farmers market. That's the only morning they serve breakfast I think and the morning we stopped in there was no one else eating, though a few people stopped in to buy some fresh fish. The lobster omelettes were exceptional, though I generally don't spend so much on a breakfast entree, it seemed an appropriate beach week expenditure. We also had dinner there earlier in the week and found the server to be super helpful when picking out fish and preparation. He even let me get the asagio cheese risotto balls as a side though they were meant for the special. (They were excellent too.) The menu had a spectrum of fish preparations and prices, the dining room was casual and fun but not rowdy. We didn't pick up any fresh fish to take home, but the selection looked great and the staff were ever so helpful. Go!

This was one of my favorite meals in Flagler beach area (even Atlantic Grille is not as good - so save your money and head to Flagler Fish Co). Little hole in the wall place but recommended by some locals so we tried it. The shrimp was delicious and very fresh. Get the hot peel & eat. Messy but spicy and very yummy. Everyone at our table tried different fish dishes and no one was disappointed. My husbands grouper fillet sandwich was excellent - a generous portion of fish with slaw. My family and I came here on a Saturday afternoon. We were originally destined for another restaurant a bit further down the road, but the Yelp reviews of Flagler Fish Company led me to change our plans... well, I kinda wish I hadn't. (There's even a "People Love Us On Yelp!" sticker on the door) Flagler Fish Company is a restaurant and seafood market about two blocks from the beach, where you can choose your cut of fish or live lobster. We entered the tackily-decorated restaurant and obliged the "please seat yourself" sign. There were only two other parties dining inside and another out on the outdoor patio, but the only table available that was big enough for four adults and a toddler was empty but hadn't been cleaned off yet. The menus were sticky and had food on them. Service, save for the arrival time of food, was slow. Our waiter was the type who would walk by and look at the table and completely ignore an empty water cup. I ordered one dozen steamed oysters and a cup of lobster bisque, and then another dozen steamed a bit later. The oysters had good flavor, but they were disappointingly small. Crackers came with the second dozen but not first, melted butter with first but not second. When I asked for the melted butter, he brought it out in paper condiment cup instead of a rammekin as with the first. Yuck... The lobster bisque was decent, but the sherry flavor was too strong and it seemed a little burned because the color was darker than lobster bisque should be. Meat in the bisque was sparse, at best. My aunt ordered flounder, grilled, and it was horribly dry, to the taste as well as the eye. It was bad. NOT characteristic of flounder in the least. She requested a side of melted butter, brought out in a paper cup, to remedy the overcooked fillet. Not cool. Her steamed spinach was okay, she said. The asiago potatoes, quite clearly their most popular side dish, presented themselves as mediocre in my opinion. Literally only two red potato halves on the plate, which are semi-hallowed out and stuffed with an 'asiago' cheese mixture. Pathetic portion, too rich and heavy stuffing ($4 a la carte... gimme a break). Mom and dad each ordered Redneck Scampi (shrimp and grits)... mom was happy with it, dad wasn't. It was too sweet to me and the shrimp mixture was super runny, mixing with the grits and just creating a soupy mess. Also, it really grinds my gears when restaurants leave the tails on but remove the shell... either be totally lazy, or finish the task. :p Not worth $18.25, no siree. Didn't feel the hype of FFC. Spotty service, subpar food at ridiculous prices. To add to the tackiness... affixed to all of the fish and Margaritaville-esque 'artwork' are dusty, handwritten price tags. And no wonder they're dusty... the prices are outrageous for the art. You could find better quality and more attractive pieces at WalMart, for sure.

We were on our way to Orlando from Jacksonville and took a small detour to eat here after reading all the great reviews on yelp. Never mind being the best place to eat in Flagler it ended up being the best place to eat on our whole trip. It was a great, friendly unpretentious kind of place with super fresh seafood. I loved the fact that fried food was not king here, and the kitchen really knew how to make their star ingredients shine without a dunk in hot oil. The restaurant gets their fish deliveries twice a day, and the server will make sure you know what just came in. When we walked into the restaurant, we saw a guy filleting a mahi mahi, so I knew what I was going to order. The tacos - a melding of chipoltle mayo, avocado and some veggies-made the perfect backdrop for the fish. The small tasty flour tortilla was the right size too, although this was a fork and knife gig as there was way too much filling to eat it by hand. My partner's grouper sandwich was devoured happily the only complaint being a bun that was a tad too large. We have a lot of seafood places in Annapolis, but none that deliver the fins and shells with this type of variety/creativity and for that matter simplicity. The Fish Company is also a market where you can take some raw stuff to go. I checked the price of grouper and was shocked to see that it was over 22 bucks a pound. That's what we pay in our stores and this fish is certainly not local like it is in Florida. So let them do the cooking....I doubt you will be disappointed.

I've been back to Flagler Fish a few times and I feel like quality has slipped. I've had problems with my food being cooked improperly and not tasting as good as it used to. Also, it's always super busy which detracts from the atmosphere.

My husband and I entered about 8:30 p.m. on a Monday evening. We were immediately greeted with great service by Anthony, one of the owners. We looked around the fresh fish case and were told we could sit anywhere. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. We were able to try their (what I think is) their house wine, Gnarly Head. Our waitress came and had excellent recommendations. We ended up splitting an appetizer of stone crab claws and an entree of Triggerfish. We had it seared with a side of buttery / caper sauce which the waitress recommended. For our sides was the asiago potato and Cole's slaw. They even split our dish for us and upon closing made us feel welcome and not rushed. They said as long as we didn't mind them cleaning up we were welcome to stay. Everything was amazing and service was suberb. We will definately be back!

IN SHORT: A local-frequented fish market and restaurant that has a beach restaurant vibe, but fine-dining quality food. AS A WHOLE: After our disappointment with O'Steen's in St. Augustine the day before, my wife and I needed to find a place within driving distance where she could get great seafood and I could find something other than salad or pie to appease my vegetarian diet. I spent some time researching our options and read about The Flagler Fish Company, a restaurant down in Flagler beach that had, in addition to fresh fish and other seafood, a few vegetarian options, like the Veggie Cuban sandwich (which replaces the meat and cheese with portabello mushrooms and grilled peppers and onions). I figured it was worth the 25-minute scenic drive down A1A from our rented vacation home, so we made the trek while the grandparents watched our 1-year-old. All I can say is that we really needed a place like this by which to judge all of the other seafood restaurants to be found in the area, because on our vacation, we didn't find anything that came close to the Flager Fish Company. The restaurant is indeed a fish market (though it somehow didn't stink), and you can see the fresh catch of the day up in the cases in the front. The kitchen is right behind the counter, and the people cooking appear to have some culinary training, making them fun to watch working. But most of the space is devoted to the restaurant itself, which can probably seat about 40-50 people and which fills up quickly during peak hours due to the excellent food (at moderate prices!) the restaurant has to offer. My wife skipped the menu and ordered the special, which was a freshly-caught swordfish steak atop a bed of asparagus and potatoes. I went with the Veggie Cuban with asiago potatoes on the side. These little potatoes are amazing, and they beg to be tried on your first visit. While we waited, we were brought some freshly fried potato chips and (clam?) dip to munch on. The service was fine, and we had no problems with our order. They were busy, but we never felt ignored. It seemed like there were quite a few regulars around us, and it was clear that this is one of those restaurants that the locals love. The restaurant isn't easy to see, but it's about 2 blocks inland from A1A in the center of town near the bridge over the river. Parking is clearly a problem at this restaurant, so be prepared to park on the street and walk a little bit. There was a line as we were leaving, so I expect that the wait times can be a little long (though not nearly as bad as the 90-minute wait we suffered at O'Steens). The Atlantic Ocean is right around the corner (and visible from the entrance!), so this could be a nice first stop or last stop on a visit to the beach.

GO! We stopped on our way to visit my parents and it was a great stop! The smoked fish dip they served while waiting for our meals was amazing. The waitress was all over the place but that seemed like a fluke. My husband had the Sea Bass and I have the seafood platter and both plates were AMAZING! Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delish and truly the food fixed all other issues. SO, SO Good. Really best seafood we have had ever. It is really one of those places that are better than anything you could fix at home and I cook all the time!

My mother and I regularly travel to Flagler Beach, and this is a stop that we always fit in AT LEAST once.. This past trip, we were only in town 3 days and made 2 trips. Would've probably been more if they hadn't been closed on Sunday. I have yet to find a main dish here that I don't like. The first trip last week I had the crab cake burger with spinach. The crab cake burger was phenomenal, the "Cole's Slaw" excellent and the spinach was good. We also purchased an appetizer - Wanda's Crab Dip - that is to die for. NOT to be confused with the smoked clam dip though, BIG difference and Wanda's is awesome! The second trip of the week, I had the fish (cod) and chips. Another great choice. My mother also had the fish (tilapia) and chips and she raved about it as well. We of course had Wanda's Crab Dip again and loved every second of it. We also really enjoy the ambience of this place. The artsy, hand-painted fish that hang on the wall and are available for purchase are a great addition. I have a few of them in my basement now. The open cases where you can see the fresh fish that is available is a great feature too. And of course, we couldn't leave without purchasing a shirt that we saw the waiter in. Flager Fish Company on the front, and "Just for the Halibut" on the back. Love it!!

This is an interesting little restaurant with very hard working staff. Their aspirations are well intentioned but the food simply falls short. The fish in the refrigerated case (you pick your dinner) tonight looked like scraps and thus far dinner has been very average at best. Too bad. I had higher expectations.

Came off 95 to grab a quick lunch. We ordered Raw oysters and clams, sandwiches and such. While the food and the service were very good, one thing prevented me from giving this place 4 stars. One of the oysters was bad and I told the waitress. She heard me but did not offer to bring another 1 or 2 oysters as is customary, at least in the Northeast.

We went here for dinner one night while on vacation in Ormond Beach. After being seated, my husband and I both ordered the same beer, but were told they only had one bottle left. Fortunately, I won, so I'm not going to complain about that. ;-) The lobster bisque was tasty, though very sweet ... it tasted as though they might have put some maple syrup or something similar in it. I kept going back and forth on whether I liked it or not (conclusion: not my favorite bisque ever, but still nothing to turn your nose up at). They also gave us some delicious house-made chips that we swiftly devoured. For our meals, I ordered the grilled swordfish with horseradish sauce, creamy grits, and asparagus. I was pretty impressed with the grits (if you've read any of my other reviews, you might know that I live in the Charleston, S.C. area and definitely "get around" when it comes to grits). They had a good texture to them; creamy, but not TOO smooth. I actually really liked that there was corn mixed in; it almost made it like a corn pudding or something to that effect. The swordfish was delicious, tender and full of flavor. I also sampled my husband's grilled shrimp with coconut sauce; as much as I loved my swordfish, my stolen bite definitely inspired some jealousy. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and did a great job of helping to guide us through the menu. If we find ourselves in the area again, I would definitely return.

In town for business and checked out a few of the reviews. This place is simply put awesome. The peel and eat shrimp were cooked perfectly, there were a lot of them, and served with a spicy cocktail sauce.

This was a great place to eat! The shrimp was delicious, as well as the scallops. The only thing was when we asked what the dip was made out of that came with our chips, the guy said it was sort of made out of "fish parts". I would suggest he refined his explanation!

Went here twice while visiting Saint Augustine. First time was for a birthday dinner, mine! Had a wonderful swordfish grilled to perfection, but the real star was this combination of onions, mushrooms, and blu cheese. Tasty! So good in fact we went back on Friday for the only day they open for breakfast. Hint the reason they open on Friday is the Flagler Beach farmers market takes place that day. I had the lobster omelet and all I can say is in freaking credible! I actually cleaned that up for Yelp, your welcome. I'm kinda cool like that. Back to the Flagler Fish Company. Go now if your within 50 miles of this place, its about 6:38pm now you can make it. If your farther than 50 miles go there tomorrow.

Definetely a nice stop for lunch on our way back north. Only 3miles off 95, all fresh food, good crisp ceasar salad, nice size grilled tuna, perfectly cooked mahi-mahi, and delightful sides. i had two red potatoes stuffed with cheese and garlic that were very tasty. My wife had butterfried noodles that were really bowtie pasta with cheese and garlic and she said it was very good. In fact everything was good. The helpings were just right so you were not stuffed and there were no left overs.

I dined in here with my family over a weekend at the beach & was not really impressed. Maybe I just got something bad off the menu, I don't know. I went with the crab wrap. WAY too much stuff in it. All the fixings & the zesty sauce overpowered the crab, didn't leave me with a good taste, and I hardly ate any of it at all. My sister got the appetizer shrimp. It was overcooked. I did however try my Dad's fish and chips and it was really good. I would definitely stick to that if you're unsure of what to get. The fish was cooked perfectly and didn't have that TOO fishy taste to it. Our waiter was a nice guy - very friendly. But our food took wayyyy too long to get to us though and it was really strange because they brought out plates as they were ready, not as a whole. So, while some of us were waiting for our food, others had theirs and it was getting cold waiting for the rest. Not cool! Additionally, just an FYI, it's not a really big restaurant and I think we got there at the perfect time because shortly after we were seated, it got packed. And I mean PACKED. People were lined up near the door and all by the cash registers waiting. Luckily, we weren't near the door so it didn't bother me but I can't imagine having a table up front and all those people just standing around. So, I would suggest getting there early, be prepared to wait, or be prepared to have a bunch of people standing around your table. Overall, I think this place has potential. It definitely seems to be a hot spot in Flager Beach but I definitely think they have some important things to work on!

You can pick your fish out of the fish case and have it prepared numerous ways. Outstanding fresh local fish and seafood. We live in Florida and would definitely recommend this place for some great seafood. I had the blackened grouper and my wife had the seared shrimp. Both were excellent.

We enjoyed our lunch here. We shared the grilled swordfish with lemon caper sauce entree with asiago potato and portobello/asparagus salad. everything was flavorful and well-made. One thing i was not thrilled about was the extra cost for a shared plate indicated on the menu. however, we were not charged for sharing one plate. must have been our lucky day.

Great seafood restaurant, with delicious menu items. They are open on Mondays, which is good on Flagler Beach since most of the restaurants are closed. I have had the Fish Tacos, the Cheeseburger, the Lobster Wrap and the Red Chowder. All delicious and quality menu, as well. I highly recommend.

I've been in the area for a week now and this place tops every other places I've been to. I had maine lobster, king crab, hog fish, and sword fish. All the courses were cooked amazing and the sauces only added to its perfection. Also, the crème brûlée dessert was really good! :)

We were looking for good fresh seafood in the Flagler Beach area since we camp here at least once a year, and Yelp indicated that FFC was the place to be. Came early (5:20 pm) as a lot of the reviews indicated the place was busy, but this is not really in season so we got in right away. The venue is fairly small but comfortable, and the server was prompt and personable. He immediately served a basket of freshly made potato chips and some of the store's smoked fish dip/spread for us. The chips were good, but the dip lacked any smoked or fish flavor at all. The fish market part had some nice looking selections. The menu at the restaurant is priced based on the price per pound of the fresh items in the market case. The fish can be prepared one of six ways, accompanied by one of six sauces, and including two side dishes. I had fresh local Wahoo, seared, with lemon butter sauce, along with a Caesar Salad and some fried farfalle flavored with asiago cheese. The fish portion was generous, fresh and perfectly cooked. The Caesar had some of the best dressing I have eaten in a long time - a nice amount of garlic with an appropriate anchovy overtone on tender romaine and great croutons; and the fried noodles were fabulous. She had the Black Grouper, also seared, with the Arugula Pesto sauce, the fried noodles, and spinach. The fish was dynamite - tender as a mother's love, moist and flavorful. The pesto was delighful and the spinach was another perfect side. As we left, we bought some Red Snapper from the fish market part to cook at the campsite - it was perfect. We came back a day or so later and bought some locally caught Pompano (never pass up Pompano it is to die for) and sauteed that also - heaven. We will definitely be back next time we are here.

Thanks to Yelp, we found this delicious spot! You can order fresh fish out of the case, prepared multiple ways. I had tilefish sautéed and the fish as well as the sides were amazing! It's a cute little "old Florida" spot with friendly service. It's nice and clean, and seems very reliable. We may go back this week while on vacation:)

My wife and I just returned from a great visit to Flagler beach. Followed the yelp reviews to this restaurant. Boy were we glad we did - this place was fantastic. The shrimp and 'grits' dish was amazing. Wife had the cobia, and I had the tuna specials. Incredibly fresh fish and wonderful environment. This is a must try on your visit to Flagler beach.

What a nice place. Very relaxed and low key restaurant. Funky and fun metal sculptures that are for sale decorate the walls. Tables are placed pretty closely together (to fit the crowds). Servers are on friendly and efficient. The food is delicious. The smoked fish dip with homage potato chips is terrific. Very flavorful. They serve a wide variety of fresh fish prepared to your specifications (grilled, seared etc. ) and served with one of several different sauces. The Red Neck Scampi (shrimp and grits) is fantastic! It is busting with flavor and the shrimp are perfectly cooked. The serving is huge so you may want to share with a friend.

I do not have much to say about Flagler Fish that hasn't been said in other reviews. If you come to Flagler, the Palm Coast, or Daytona, this place is a must. We're talking fine dining at reasonable prices. Do not come for the ambiance, come for the food. Get the fried green tomatoes. Just do it.

Decided to go based on recommendation from my sister and the great yelp reviews. The homemade potato chips with the smoked fish dip was a good unique start. Had blackened red snapper, asiago potatoes, and steamed asparagus. My wife has grilled salmon, spinach, and the asiago potatoes. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Side portions are small but the fish is excellent. Small, not fancy (fish market atmosphere).

Two of us had lunch here recently and loved it. We shared crab cakes and their peel and eat shrimp. They were absolutely perfect (both dishes). The crab cakes were a big cut above the ones I've had in myriad fancy places. These were much tastier with less filler. The fish in the counter looked very fresh and they have a huge selection. I can't wait to try it for dinner. The atmosphere is comfortable and very beach / fish oriented in a good way. Try it, you'll like it.

The best place to eat in Flagler. I have eaten there three times for lunch service. The lunch menu is a great value. On Wednesday's they the three tacos for $8 bucks. The Tacos are steak, fish and mushrooms. The steak was tender and fish was good but the mushroom was incredible. I had reservations before trying it. I thought for sure I was not going to like a vegetarian taco. It is a must try. I have the crab cakes today for lunch. the dish comes with coleslaw that was the best I have every had. I thought the crab cakes were good but my friend thought the awesome. I told him this was my least favorite dish I have had here, and he said couldn't wait to come back to try other stuff. Another reason I love this place is during lunch service you can add a Caesar salad or a cup of soup to the order for $2. I usually get both. The caesar is very good and the croutons they have in it is makes it even better The fish chowder soup is very hearty. I would say no ingredient is skimped on; all are top shelve. So not only do you get the best food in the area but you get it at a great value.

During a month in Palm Coast, I at at FFC six or seven times -- and always left full and deliriously happy. The menu might seem expensive compared to other restaurants, but the ingredients are sensational and the preparation is beautiful in execution and detail. Located near the Flagler Beach Farmers Market, it's nice to sit outside and enjoy treasures of the sea -- both local and from around the world. Being a fish market, the offerings change frequently. The servers are incredibly knowledgeable about what's in the case, and they won't steer you wrong if you're unsure about preparation. I liked the steamed sea bass with salsa verde, but there are thousands of combinations available. You order whatever looks promising (seared, grilled, or steamed), and top it off with a choice of house-made sauces. Also have to give kudos for the addictive smoked fish dip they set down as you are seated. The sides are fantastic, too. Seaweed salad is wonderful, and the asiago potatoes are opulent and... good for you. Anyway, charming place and they rightfully take pride in what they offer. Check it out!

5 Star (and truly 5 Star) food in a 2 star atmosphere, which makes it charming and memorable, to a point. Warning: NOT $$... more like $$$. Example: $77 for two glasses of wine, two appetizers, two entrees, and no dessert. That said... WORTH EVERY PENNY. Picture a crappy beach diner that happened to have an adjoining back door to a very elite eating establishment... one that supplies the food to the diner's patrons. That's the Flagler Fish Company, except they cook their own food. My opinion: it needs a larger dining room, and better tables and chairs, or maybe not...? It was memorable, to say the least. The reality of dinner was that I sat closer to my table neighbor than I did my dining companion, but the food quality was Ritz Carlton comparable (if not superior to RC), and the presentation was still respectable considering the dining room's quality and decor. AGAIN... if you're a foodie... this food is friggin' AMAZING! Every first bite was immediately followed by an actual "WOW" emanating from my mouth. If you're in town, miss eating here at your palate's peril.

We stopped for lunch on a weekday. No wait. Service was excellent. I had the white fish chowder and it was as good as any I have ever eaten. My wife had gazpacho with the same comment. My wife had the grilled rock shrimp with sides of spinach and grits, all excellent. I had the taco special, one each of fish, steak and mushroom, all delicious. We will surely eat here again.
