I'm a bit disappointed for the other Yelpers who experienced bad service at FN... I think I found the difference, and her name is Kathy. Kathy (our waitress for the night) was honestly one of the best waiters I've ever had any where. She did everything right - she was very present, so friendly (she made my first visit feel like my 100th), knowledgable, tidy - she was just like-able! I would come back and ask to sit in her section. As for the restaurant, I would say I was a little hesitant to pick FN because they are one of the only Flagler strip restaurants that do not offer outdoor seating. It was a beautiful night, so we ended up having after dinner drinks elsewhere to enjoy the breeze. I don't think there's anywhere to expand FN, but the food more than compensates for the less beachy feel. All of our dishes were really, really great! We were given a complimentary crab dip upon seating which was very tasty. I had a ribeye that was on special which was cooked exactly the way I like it and was very large. The sweet potato fries were thick and fresh. My sister had the Cajun cream wahoo (a fish we'd never heard of) which was unique and addicting. My parents had the clam chowder (their favorite here) and some sort of spicy cold shrimp dish that had no complaints as well. The atmosphere is simple and non-upscale and the place could use a slight update but the service and food are the real reasons I eat out and I look forward to coming back to FN on my next Flagler Beach visit.

Old decor, poor quality food, some items are way to pricey for what you get. The fish smells fishy and the chicken on the salad smelled funky and the prime rib could have been used to line your shoes. Do I even have to go on... The service was terrible. The waitress, who was very nice and sweet, forgot things and the kitchen kept us waiting 45 minutes for this below average food. The best part was when WE suggested we should be a drink comped and they brought us a free beer each! Although they didn't do that for another table waiting as long as us....guess they didn't know they had to suggest such a thing...skip this place.

We both had fresh fish, cod and file fish, baked were excellent, salads were added on for a dollar, really fresh, a definite place to visit.

I've been coming here for years and it used to be a pretty good spot, but the last few times I've been here was unimpressive. The service was horrible, I had to go to the bar to get drinks after waiting for 20 minutes and no service, then the waiter blasted me for doing so. The Chilean Seabass was the worst that I've ever had, and get this dish a lot. Fatty, fishy and disguised with a huge mound of bread crumbs. It almost nauseated me and I'm not a picky eater at all. I won't be going back.

Great find! Stopped in for lunch and the service was near perfect, our waitress was awesome, we had our two nephews with us and they were cranky and hot, she chatted with them, gave them coloring books, she took their minds off being cranky! The meals were great! I had the Caribbean File Fish, great!!! My wife had Clam Strips, they were tasty, the boys had grilled cheese, again, a great meal at reasonable price. Highly recommend.

We have been a few times in the last month. For both breakfast and lunch. The fish is always fresh and delish. Breakfast has been cooked to perfection. The bloody marys are execllent, not too spicey and not at all bland. They have a great little drink menu. The service is good in its own way. They are efficient and get the job done quickly. They don't have to be over the top friendly or in your face all the time. We really like it and will be back for more.

We had an amazing breakfast here last week. I had the special which was a grilled scallop and shrimp omelet with hollandaise sauce with a side of potatoes and great harvest bread toast. Terrific! My husband had eggs with their homemade corn beef and hash. Also great. We didn't get to go back to have dinner or experience the bar but it all looked very nice inside. Bigger than you'd expect AND all of their house wines were $2.50! Hope we get back there again one day. Only reason for 4 stars was that for being just breakfast, it was a little pricey.

My husband is extremely picky about grouper and fried grouper sandwiches. His fried grouper was perfect and quite fresh (they also have a fish market here). My crab cake was good, 3 stars. My frog legs were not too tasty, 2 stars. Heard that the blue cheese salad dressing was amazing, with garlic in the dressing. Wish I had tasted that. They were out of gator tail. Sigh. I love alligator.

Dinner last week was good but the service and awful. Waiter said the usual smoked crab spread and crackers that makes the wait for food pass quicker was not available. After salads, the wait for food was about 25 minutes and the restaurant wasn't filled. Not sure, but it seems like this place is going down hill. With so many other choices available, I doubt we'll be back to the "Net" any time soon.

The restaurant readily accommodated our party of 10, a friendly call ahead always helps. We, too, received dishes of crab dip complimentary. It was fine, nothing to be very excited over but a nice touch. All our meals came out at the same time, no one seemed disappointed and each of us ordered something different. Chrissy (spelling?) was very nice to us as a group and took care of us and didn't make us feel like we were a burden being a "large party". They do not offer outdoor seating but have good parking. A sign says they have a seafood market attached but I wasn't in a position to use it.

The service was great and thethe staff were all super nice and friendly. They were even nice enough to let me use a booth to nurse my baby in while my family ate dinner at another table. Food was pretty good, we all enjoyed the escargot appetizer and my fish, the haddock, was cooked perfectly. I hope to go there again on our next visit to the grandparents!

I never get anything but Chilean Sea Bass, and I get it every time. It is TO DIE FOR!!! as far as the other reviews that say the fish is bad, etc. I can't say I've ever had any bad food here, nor have any of my friends that have come here. The staff is friendly, though not quick... This is definitely worth the stop if you have the time, which is slowwww in Flagler, that's why we come! :)

The wife and I ate their for the first time last night, it was GREAT! We both had the prime rib, it was HUGE and delicious. Everyone was friendly and our server Kathy was fantastic.Right by the beach, this is a must if you ever visit Flagler Beach and make sure you ask for Kathy.

Waited a long time for food. Other got seafood that they said was good. I don't like seafood so I got the steak. It was over cooked and grissly. Not what I expect from a $19 steak. Even at a seafood place.

Just terrible. We looked at the menu online before choosing this place. We thought with all the seafood choices that we had hit the jackpot. Well, boy were we wrong. The service was horrible. The food was worse. We will not visit this place again and would not recommend to anyone.

Good but a little lacking in flavor and service. I like my beach spots full of flavor and I think someone could spice this one up a bit. The wine list needs help.

We have lived in fl for over 20 years knew George the owner since he first started,my wife an I went there last weekend expecting same type meal and service as in the past, well George sold restaurant we sat waited what seemed like 15 minutes to get a menu, gave us time to look around watch them clean tables, filthy floors table tops sticky when they clean tables after use they push table top crumbs etc on floor, wanted to get up and run as fast as we could, we did not ordered food my wife sent her meal back, I had a couple of bits from my fish and stopped eating afraid I would get something, that's it for us awful service meal terrible prices went up 30% what a waste we are done watch out.

Our food here was decent. Nothing special, just good. The fish tasted fresh, but my baked snapper was dry. The sauce on the calamari marinara is from a jar and doctored up a little. Otherwise clam strips were good and mahi blackened was real good. They could use some hot sauce besides the lamest hot sauce of them all, Tabasco. Ignore the sun burnt tourists that may be there. They didn't know the sun can do that so quickly.

Don't bother if you are picky at all about your seafood. Ordered a combo of broiled shrimp and scallops--very disappointing: Tiny scallops and four overcooked shrimp drowned in a watery broth. Spouse had broiled red snapper that was considerably better, but they served (gasp) a boiled potato wrapped in foil that they tried to pass off as a baked potato! Whenever we see this, we know the proprietors don't care about their product and think their customers are stupid. For an extra charge we ordered a Greek salad that was insipid. Spouse traded it for some grilled vegetables that were equally insipid. Cost: Fifty bucks with tip, and no alcohol! Much better plan is to go around the corner to Flagler Fish Company. Pricey, but worth it.

Overall I had a nice meal there. I would really give them a 3.25 to 3.5. I am pretty picky and enjoyed my meal. Like all the other places in town the oysters as the appetizer were surprisingly small. Tasty but small. My entree of scallops and shrimp was exactly presented beautifully but this isn't a fancy place and the food was really good. Salad was just a salad. Nothing special at all. The wine was quite good for the price. I would go there again for sure. Service was outstanding.

Great seafood restaurant with a homey atmosphere. Beach crowd gives the location great interest. Food is phenomenal, especially how they prepare the red snapper and grouper. The smoked crab spread for an appetizer is delicious.

Just because you are by the ocean doesn't mean you serve good seafood...or should serve it. You certainly can't be in a hurry here...for anything. 15 mins to refill my beer and I was 5 ft from the tap. I'd understand if the food was good or if they were busy. The clam chowder was very thin and didn't even measure up to Chunky's. The calimari was rubbery. 90+ mins later I finally got my dry, tasteless grouper sandwhich. I think there would be more taste if I just went to the back and licked the grill. It would of also been less painful. The waitress had the nerve to say I should of said something...lol. I already wasted 90 mins. McDonald's Filet O'Fish crushes this place.

Sometimes I just need to feel like I am on the Bob Newhart show, low lighting, wood paneling, some fat french fries and white fish (I had the mahi mahi). After the meal I have some coffee because everyone on the Bob Newhart show has coffee in the evening. The Fisherman's Net satisfied this need above and beyond my expectations. I love early 70's cozy restaurant vibes with my french fries. The fish was perfectly cooked though not breaded.

I lived in Florida for a year and I used to go here a lot for seafood. They had everything including gator tail which I discovered can be quite tasty if cooked properly. The owners are from New England and have NE seafood shipped down. Whenever I got homesick I would come here. It's in a great location right on Flagler Beach on A1A across from the Pier. I recommend coming here if you are in the Daytona area.

Our first time here, and we will absolutely stop in every time we come to Palm Coast. Prices are reasonable, portions are huge and the food is amazing. To top it off the service is outstanding. Our table shared the crab legs, fried flounder, baked stuff shrimp and calamari. Each dish was spectacular.

I'm from Chicago and was down visiting my dad for the week. We wanted to try this place for breakfast on Father's Day. I would not recommend this place for breakfast. Here's my order: Coffee - had a bitter aftertaste and was kind of weak. A little overpriced at $2.50/cup (free refills) Biscuits & Gravy - very bland tasting. The gravy had almost no flavor, aside from pepper. Most of the flavor came from the sausage. The biscuits were ok, though. I'm not sure if they were made from scratch? They were the reason i ate most of my meal. Home Fries - again, tasteless. A good portion was burnt, too. The service wasn't anything great, either. The woman was nice, but she didn't offer any explanation as to why our food took so long?! I overheard her tell another table, that there was only one cook. My dad had blueberry pancakes and bacon. He said the bacon was alright, but the pancakes were bland as well. If you enjoy tasteless food, then I'd recommend going here. Otherwise, if you want something with some flavor, avoid this place (for breakfast anyway). I would've given it 2.5 stars, but i'll be generous (plus, you can't give half stars. Heh)

Food was okay - my fish was overcooked but the worst part of the entire experience was the decor - the place looks like a dump. We were seated in a booth by the bar and the leather seats were torn and the stuffing coming out that it left pulls in the pants I was wearing. I believe if the owners reinvested money in enhancing the decor it may bring in more patrons. For a Friday night business was quite slow. Fix the decor or at least the booths seats - please!!!

If that waitress hadn't lied to my face three times and told me to "talk to the cook", I might have left well enough alone, but here's your one star and you have lost a local customer who will not be back. I will be sure to recommend Martin's to all out of towners I run into. 10-26-14 morning barside waitress. Manager that was on duty knows who she was.
