Great service and food. Staff was super busy but did not let it effect the service. The fried pickles were yummy!

We went here for my dad and Grandmas birthday at her request. There were 7 of us and they seated us in a large booth which is really uncomfortable when you have 3 senior citizens, a 6 year old and a 3 month old. We got our drinks after waiting about 20 minutes of nobody acknowledging that we existed. I opened my menu only to find smashed cockroaches inside. We then ordered our food. It took over an hour to get our food. I was sitting there with a glass of tea that was cracked and leaking all over the table because nobody checked on us. They flat out ignored us. My sister got boiled shrimp that were so limp and small they were more like grubs. My grandma got a pulled pork sandwich that was served on a hard cold bun with cold french fries. My dad ordered some sort of philly egg roll thing that was gross. They did comp our meal but I know I will not be returning. This place is dirty and the staff just doesn't give a hoot.

I come here because of the relative short distance from my home and the outside seating area (situated right off Lake Eustis). It always seems to take staff a while to get your food and orders and to refill beers, but otherwise not a bad place to hangout at and relax.

Extremely slow service, mediocre food. Too many other places nearby, don't waste time or money here.

The famous fish was amazing had fried fish on the famous fish salad...BUT service was horribly slow, had to get our own silverware and our waiter had to be asked more than once for condiments. Sad this place used to be so lively was dead tonight:/

Service was OK, once they figured out which server was ours (took 3 of them). The "famous fish" must be famous for its mystery. The mystery being how you deep fry something and add absolutely no flavor. 2 dinners, 2 drinks: $40. Clientele was...questionable.

When we visited on a Sunday evening they were sold out of most of their menu items. I finally asked what was available. Also outta white wine. The small nachos were ok at best. Way over priced. Won't visit again.

We usually go on Friday night as my husband likes the fish fry. I've had it and it's pretty good. I've had the burgers and the patty melt which are okay. We always sit at the bar so never have a problem with service and have never even seen the dining room.

Directly on the Lake, this hybrid bar/restaurant (Bar in Front, Full service restaurant and menu in back) had some huge portions and great food. We were there the night of the Superbowl and although the game was on the service was incredible. A great way to digest afterward is to take a walk along the docks that line the banks of Eustis. (They are literally out the backdoor of the Gator.)

Relaxed, inviting and a hometown feel - even for out-of-town visitors who never set foot in Eustis. The outdoor seating is casual and pretty comfortable. They had fans running to create a little breeze, (July in Florida). Service was amazing! I couldn't decide on grilled or fried catch-of-the-day. Our server offered to bring me a half-serving of each! Fish was delicious and the burger my friend got was outstanding. I really wish I could remember the name of our server, because she was amazing - friendly, thoughtful, suggesting but not pushy, and totally honest. Turns out, she was also the manager-on-duty that night - very appropriate. I'd go back there anytime I'm in Eustis again just because the first experience I had there was so positive. Keep it up, folks!

Mediocre food, my burger was dry. Not a big menu, but it's reasonable. Unfortunately, the service was slow, inattentive and I felt like a burden on the server because of her actions. Not what I would describe as a good dining experience.

First time visit. Snow bird from New York. Got a seat by a window overlooking the lake. Had the Friday fish fry special. Probably the best fish fry I have ever had. Service was also very good. Would have given it 5 stars but the place could use some updating. Will go again. Reasonable pricing good service. Go early, when I left at 5:30 people were in line out the door.

A tourist trap? In Eustis, FL? Uh, not even close! What it is is a great family place with simple but yummy food. It has a totally laid back atmosphere & a wide variety of clientele. The Buckeye Room caters to the local OSU fans & the manager, Becky, is awesome! Don't expect fancy or gourmet. Expect great food, good service, personal attention, breathtaking views of Lake Eustis & most of all, a fun time! Poo-pooers need not return.

I've never had their food but I can legitimately give their bar service 3 stars... I could easily bump it up to 4 if I frequented there more often.

Great fish fry. Large portion. I made mistake of getting two piece fish. Could not finish one piece. French fries average. Two for one wine and beer. Anthony was our servicer and he is "awesome". He said " have a blessed day" when we left. You just don't hear that anymore. I look forward to going back again both for service and food.

This was my first trip to Eustis so I had no clue where to eat. My friend recommended the Crazy Gator to get a good burger. I actually ended up getting the all you can eat fried fish. Wow! It was delicious, so light and fluffy. Tasted super fresh too. I was pleasantly surprised. I also had the queso which was nice and spicy. It was all good. The beer is cheap too and 2 for 1s after 3pm just made it all the more worth it. Glad I stopped in and I'll be coming back next time I'm in town.

We have friends in the Eustis area, locals you might say. Who swear by THE CRAZY GATOR and its' owners, The Robin Family. On vacation this past Winter, our friends bought us to THE CRAZY GATOR. To sample the vibe, the cuisine, the bar, etc. Everything our friends said it would be. Not only is the food made to order, delicious, served piping hot and by attractive, friendly wait staff - But the owners swing by and often to check on the tables - Make sure everyone's happy, everyone's getting what they need, etc. Kids are often viewed as a nuisance by other places, thus families are almost discouraged from bringing them/too many of them. At THE CRAZY GATOR kids are treated as royalty - it's between McDonald's and THE CRAZY GATOR which place, which restaurant - kids love more. There's a relaxed local vibe where you just feel, I don't know, WELCOME. Like you're in Jamaica, or Bermuda, THE CRAZY GATOR'S unlike any place you've ever been to - just such a relaxed and uplifting vibe. The Bar's to-die-for - and it's one of those places you go right from dining to the bar area and to mix in with whomever's there. NIRVANA might be a better name for THE CRAZY GATOR - Our friends told us it's about their 100th time there - and every few months the Robin's will pick up their check - tear it up - The loyalty with the community works both ways - The Robin Family is there for the community. The Eustis and surrounding communities are there for the Robin Family/staff. It might be of some note that the owner was recruited and played for Cornell, a highly sought after high school star - Had his choice of Universities, schools. Chose an Ivy League school - which explains the excellence of T.C.G. Highly recommended - I'd give it ten stars if ten were possible. Heck, I WILL give it ten stars, what they hey... Avg service. Seafood gumbo was very good yo taste but don't like to see imitation crab in it. House fish (stuffed with crab) was tasty but let half way undercooked. Staff handled situation very professionally and took the charge off w/o any hesitation. Lastly, one of the best tasting Caesar salads I've had in two yrs. 3.5 stars. Would have been 4 except for grossly undercooked fish. But again, they handled the situation with the gracefulness as well as any fine restaurant .

Quick Review: Overpriced and offensive. Full of snowbirds that don't mind waiting half an hour for fried food. I am so upset at you yelpers that are misleading people. If you don't know what you're talking about, DON'T YELP! This place is gross. Not convinced? Allow me to elaborate: Our server disappeared for 35 minutes after our drinks arrived (10 minutes after we seated ourselves after 5 minutes of waiting at the hostess station.) Our drinks were never refilled and we never saw our server to ask for her to do so. Our food was greasy, diner fare which is fine except that their prices reflect a restaurant price scale ($14.50 for frozen french fries and a handful of deep-fried (out-of-a-bag according to server) gator tail. RIDICULOUS! The food is not terrible, just totally overpriced. We were out the door when our server dramatically chased after us "wait--your food is ready" and then plunked it down without an apology or offer to comp even our drinks for the insane wait time. She said something about a party upstairs then disappeared again. Addtionally, the view from inside the restaurant is not all that great. Again, misleading yelpers... In hindsight, we should have scoped the bluehaired Northerners in the restaurant, immediately figured out that this was a tourist trap, and got the hell out of there.

Let's start with food. We had the app combo, which is all fried food... It was okay, portions are uneven. A lot of onion straws, only 2 jalapeño poppers, subbed the potatoes for chicken but only got 2, and I think 3 or 4 cheese sticks. Then we ordered the peel and eat shrimp, well can't really mess that up. Cocktail sauce didn't really have a lot of flavor. All the dipping sauces are generic. The restaurant is old, needs a good cleaning. We sat by the windows so we could see the lake. The view was lovely except the dead bugs on the window seal and the spider in the corner spinning a Web...

Great "Cheers" type establishment. Food is average, but the desserts are awesome. The Friday night all you can eat fish fry is filling and worth the money. A nice place to entertain out of town visitors.

We didn't get to sample the restaurant, so this review is for the bar only. This place is a local hang out for sure, and when we arrived the only menu options left available were things that could be fried. We opted for the cajun fried gator nuggets & a large order of wings (half buffalo, half garlic butter). Our server was Brandi, who was super sweet and very helpful. When I asked her for directions, she offered to show us the way back if we could wait until closing, which was only an hour or so away. In the mean time, we sampled our gator (delicious!) and the wings (good but maybe fried a little too long?), a couple of brewskies, and good conversation with the local flavor. Everyone we interacted with here was incredibly friendly. One of the bar tenders created a cute flower with a napkin, straw & lighter that he gave to me, which I thought was adorable on his part. The bar itself is pretty cool- the wood is heavily glossed with a photographic timeline of the history of Eustis. The cook told us that the photos were original and had been taken from the library, adding a really interesting and home-grown touch. If the bar ever closes, I hope they give the wooden panel to the library to display on their wall! If we ever find ourselves back in Eustis, this will be one of the places we'll drop into. We were welcomed with wide open arms. The only reason it's not a 5 star review is because the beer selection is lacking. Otherwise, I love this place!

This is the place to be for their Friday Nite Fish Fry. It's all you can eat Alaskan White Fish. Yummy in my tummy. I mean you get the biggest fillets topped with fries and a dab of cole slaw. I usually can get a second order of which I have to share with my husband, because I cant eat it all. It is so good. The place itself is a quaint old style beach front property. Outside bar, looking out on the water, inside is booths and tables, with a laid back aura. Not being from here, I've only experienced this place for dinner and not drinks and or just hanging out. But I'm sure it wouldn't disappoint. I have to say thanks to Moni and Frank for the two T-Shirts they sent us, they were really cool and we really enjoy wearing them in TX. I feel bad I can't share what else they have on the menu since every time I've gone I've had the fish. I do know my mother in law likes the burgers. So go burgers and awesome fish fry, you gotta drop in if your in town, if you don't you won't know what your missing.

Great wings. The remainder of the food was mediocre at best. The staff was friendly but not fantastic as far as the service went. Prices were average. Better than McDonald's but far from quality food. Stale French fries, mistaken orders and not the cleanest restaurant. Pretty strong coming from someone who loves a good sports bar.

I've been eating at Crazy Gators for 8 years, the food has always been good, the service has always been good. I do not find it to be over priced.
